RHX5 and Office 2003/2007
Hi All,
I am currently using RoboHelp HTML X5.0.2, MS Office 2002 and
have Microsoft Windows Version 2002 Service Pack 2. I want to
upgrade my MS Office to Office 2003 or Office 2007.
I single source and produce both CHM files and printed
documentation using Word.
Can anyone advise if my RoboHelp HTML X5 will still work with
either Office 2003 or 2007 and do I need to apply service packs to
RoboHelp or Windows?

Hi Morven. MS Office 2007 is not currently supported by
RoboHelp X5 or the later X6. Therefore if you are producing Word
documents from the source you will have to hold fire until the next
version comes along. You can use Office 2003 with RHX5 provided you
have the Service Pack 2 installed - which you have.

howdy all pros around,
i'd much appreciate any pro advice concerning the absolutely odd printer spooler issue as below.
sorry to post this again when there are a lot of look same cases available posted and discussed but now i shall insist that this is niether a printer driver nor a ms win7 spooler itself issue but the one of solely Internet Explorer 11
[11.0.9600.17041] installed onto fully updated Win7sp1x64(!) when i have 3 win7sp1 machines around and this issue doesn't occur on single 32-bit win7 pc!
the funniest point is that the issue doesn't prevent both win7sp1x64 computers to print normally!
also this never occurs while printing any docs or even web pages from Google Chrome.
but it always appears in win7 admin logs twice(!) while printing any web page from IE11! although there is no problem if you print web page from IE11 to PDF file...
this never happened with IE8 before its update thru MS Update to IE11 a couple of days ago.

you shall be assured that i've carefully looked thru many threads regarding the similar issues, and i'd much appreciate any non-common advice, when all common ways like uninstall/install printer etc don't work for sure.

p.s. my printer model is hp deskjet 970cse - connected to a router thru usb and installed on all 3 win7sp1 machines as a local printer via the created standard tcp/ip port.

well, as far as i can see all binaries here are x64. moreover these files are same on another x64 pc and similar on x86 one but naturally x86 and located in another folder w32x86.
my last post there:
oops. action replay.
1. z printer works well (i.e. printing anyting w/o any problem) on 3 PCs - 2 of 3 with win7sp1x64; and 1 of 3 - win7sp1x86. all 3 with IE11 installed.
2. however BOTH (that is 2 of 3) above PCs of win7sp1x64 return errors to admin log every time when printing any web page from IE11. this occurs only if printing from IE11. non of other printing jobs are affected including a printing from Google
Chrome and Opera.
3. win7sp1x86 PC prints from IE11 w/o any errors in log!

UPDATE! i'm sorry to provide you with a bit incomplete/incorrect error sympthoms.
this error is being returned to win7sp1x64 PCs print server logs not only while printing from IE11 but from MS Office 2003 & 2007 as well, however all non-MS applications to print out from (Adobe, ACDSee, Chrome, Opera, etc.) aren't affected at all.
also test page printing is always OK!
so i've amended the header of my post accordingly.

2 (two) PCs of quite similar win7sp1x64 config affected!
sorry but your kind prompt doesn't work. i've not only tried to remove all printers except AdobePDF Converter, CANVAS PS, Fax, MS XPS Writer in common way from Devices & Printers menu but also removed all their dependencies in Printer Server config menu
(access thru DOS printui /s /t2) except same AdobePDF Converter, CANVAS PS, MS XPS Writer (all x64 Type 3 - User Mode).
moreover i've managed to update the troubled core component thru a manual install of HP PLC6 Universal Driver, so now its updated as below:

same thing - test page printing OK but same error in log if print from IE11 and MS Office.

Office 2003+2007, script to take away the acl's for suffix .doc .ppt .xls
for a better understanding…
we have permissions problems with saving from microsoft office 2003 + 2007 on a server volume (osx server 10.5.5).
if a user saves a document one a share, there are added some strange acl like everyone and stuff, and with every 'ctrl+save' there are duplicated…

for this reason I tried to write a .sh script which a liked to use as a folderaction script (automator)
I would like use crontab, but seams that doesn't work under 10.5 !!!
if I call the .sh in the app. terminal it seams to work, even if there shows up some error message for each founded file

Cron does still work in 10.5, however its better if you use launchd. If you're not comfortable with launchctl then you could use Lingon instead? This provides a graphical interface for launchd and is freely available. Google for an appropriate download site or use this link:

I am using report generation toolkit 1.1 with Labview 7.0 and Office 2003 professional. The create new report VI opens Excel but throws error (-2147167262- from automation open VI) when I try to open MS word. please help...

Does this error occur if you use any of the example programs that come shipped with LabVIEW? I would try opening one of the examples that write data to Word and see if those give you an error. Also, have you tried just putting down a New Report.VI and change the report type to Word? If this simple vi (that's all you need to open Word) breaks, I would check to see if there are any instances of Word still open. Check the task manager to see if any word processes are still open. There should not be a problem accessing Word 2003 from LabVIEW 7.0. If neither of these solutions work, please give some more detail about your application and we can research further. Thanks!

Unable in install all updates and Office pro 2007
I am unable in install all updates and Office pro 2007 (KB2553089,2553090,2584063,2553074,2559530). I am no very techincal but I do know some. I also tried to repair Office and INstall the cd and It would not take it. This all occured about
1 or 2 months ago and i have been living with it but it seems to be causing other problems. My operating sustem is XP. Please Help..Well, I know this thread is old but since I ran into issues with office 2007 updates recentlly, I thought this is best thread to post to.

I ignored this for sometime but today I lost my patience and decided to fix this nagging problem. The update prevented me from using the shutdown option as then it would download the updates and then fail over and over again.
None of the steps helped however they set me on a path. I uninstalled all unwanted programs but that was not what fixed the issue. I noticed other than Office 2007 I also had installed Word viewer 2007 , Excel viewer, Powerpoint viewer. I uninstalled these
voila!! Windows update said I don't need these updates on which the install was failing, I checked for updates again and the above updates never appeared in the list of updates found.
I thought I will put this out there just incase someone else runs into similar situation as me. Good Luck. -

I need an sql query to generate a report that includes Microsoft Office 2010, 2007 and 2003 only.
You can either built a custom report with Installed applications (microsoft office%) or take a look at the readymade reports from enhansoft - I just installed some of them earlier today and they have Office reports builtin -

Robohelp and Office 2003 suddenly not working
Hi.
I'm working in the IT department for my company. I don't use
Robohelp myself, but one of my collegues do.
I'm trying to figure out why his Robohelp with Office 2003
suddenly stopped working. Seems like there may have come an Office
update that Robohelp wasn't happy about. But that's a guess.
Symptoms: What we are seeing, is that the RTF file just keeps
growing. Up to around 150-200 mb, and then Word stops responding.
Just freezes. Before the problem, the file stayed much smaller. The
projects are not only new ones, but also older ones, that have been
compiled before.
Measures taken so far: We have reinstalled his computer. with
a fresh Windows XP. A new Office 2003 with SP2 and other updates.
Then Robohelp with all updates. Both X501's and X502.
Is anyone else experiencing this? And better yet, does anyone
have a cure?

My collegue seems to have found out, that it has something to
do with the graphics format, that some screenshots are stored as in
Word. He's experimenting a bit currently, to see exactly what's
going on. -

Running macro on Table using Report Generation Toolkit and Office 2003 Incompatible!!!!!!!
Hi,
I am using some functions under the Report Generation toolkit (LabView 7.1). We recently updated our test PCs from Office 2000 to 2003. The "WORD IMPORT MODULE.VI" returns error code -41113 when used with Word 2003. No problem on Word 2000.
In fact even the example VI available under Find Examples - Run Macro on Word Table fails and returns error code -41113 when "WORD IMPORT MODULE.VI" is called on Word 2003. Word 2000 is OK.
Any one faced this problem???? Any solution to this problem??
I would greatly appreciate your feedback / suggestions.

After checking the the property "Trust access to Visual Basic Project" , I get the following error message:
Exception occured in Microsoft Word, Unable to run the specified macro. Help Path is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\1033\wdmain11.chm and context 37401 in Word Run Macro.vi->SetFirstRowAsTableHeaderforWord(Macro).vi->Generate Report.vi
I can run the macro directly from Word.. no problem running macros in Excel dirently either. I get error message only when running macro from LabView. So, I doubt if it is an IT issue.
You don't have a problem with Word 2003 and Word Import Module.vi???
I am attaching my Vi-Report Generation.vi and the subvi. I would so much appreciate if you run ReportGenerate.vi on your PC and let me know if there is a problem.

Outlook 2010 32bit and Office Communicator 2007 R2 integration
Have a machine running XP SP3, Office 2010 32bit and Communicator 2007 R2. The problem is communicator will not integrate with outlook it states that the mail profile is not configured correctly and to seek assistance. I have a windows 7 machine running
the same versions of software and it works fine. The mailbox for the user is on exchange 2010 and online archiving is not enabled.
I have searched for the answer to this problem but have yet to find one can anyone help?Is the users default email address for Exchange the same as the users SIP address? I am pretty sure this can cause issues.

after installing cs4, paste in office 2033 word, excel is grayed out. when uninstalling cs4 all is normal. malware has been done with no errors, windows xp with service pack 2, IE7, adobe reader 8. are there any custom checks i should look for.
thanksThey do indeed indicate it should be compatible. When you say it did not install, I assume you simply mean there is no Adobe menu in WORD. You will have to go to place in WORD where you permit other macros. Typically what happens is that it does not show because WORD has not allowed it in their system. That is an option you must activate.

Potential Bug with LabVIEW 2009, Report Generation Toolkit, and MS Office 2003
We have discovered an issue with the above listed software. Specifically this pertains to Print Report.vi in the Report Gen palette. Basically, we have discovered that with Office 2003 installed the VI will error out. We've been using it in an executable, and the executable physically fails (and asks us to report an error to Microsoft). With Office 2007 we don't have a problem. We've tried building the examples into executables, and those work because they are printing HTML reports.
Also, we have converted back to LabVIEW 8.6 and rebuilt the executable and installed and it works perfectly. Its on the combination of LabVIEW 2009 and Office 2003 that seems to fail.yeah, we had seen that, and been told about it by another user. we tried, to no avail. we still have ended up having to migrate back to 8.6.1 to get the executable to run properly.

Installation of Live Office; Update for Office 2003 (KB907417)
Hello,
We are trying to install BOBJ Edge 3.1 on windows server 2003 R2 sp2 and office 2003 sp3.
Live Office installation is getting cancelled with the following message.
"Produkt: BusinessObjects Live Office XI 3.1 -- Update for Office 2003 (KB907417) was not detected on this machine. Please install the update and re-run setup."
We installed the mentioned update on MS Office but the message did not disappear.
Does anyone have any insight on this issue?
One problem we are guessing is that of MS Office language. We have MS Office 2003 installaed in Swedish. Does any of you think that can be the reason.

I just got U-Verse and I'm either really, really disappointed in it, or there's something wrong with my little MacBook. It buffers when streaming on the U-verse site. Moving from one tab to another takes lots more time. Frankly, I'm not used to watch
