Ribbon cable for M-Series VHDCI connector

Looking for ribbon cable for NI's new M Series boards which use VHDCI
connectors. These are 68 pin connectors, 34 on each side, 0.8 mm
pitch cable.
Connectors can be obtained fom DigiKey # 787131-3 or from Honda
Connectors who carry 4 with different wire gauges (HDRA series).
Steve

Sean,
I think the SHC68-68-EP is for E series. The SHC68-68-EPM is for M
series (VHDCI connector).
I simply need a short length of bare ribbon cable so I can attach it
to my existing bare conector and bring out its digital outputs. I've
not been able to locate ribbon cable with this 0.8 mm wire spacing.

Cable code isn't going to help what you need the the cable part number. Without this no one will be able to help you locate the cable. Also you should tells us the P/N that will insure someone can look into what the part is and also what is that cable for as there is no discription what it does or connects to.

  • Need Touch pad ribbon cable for Satellite L350

    Hi!
I'm running an L350 bought last September and it's been quite troublesome. The ribbon cable for the touchpad broke somehow, generally stopped working.
I need a replacement cable but my local IT shop has been unable to get anywhere.
Has anyone got any idea where I could get one? Anyone got an L350 or compatible laptop for spares/repairs they'd consider giving away/selling? Any help much appreciated!

In my opinion it will be problematic to find such small parts in IT shops.
I can just recommend you to contact nearest authorized Toshiba service provider.
They have exact part numbers for all Toshiba notebook parts and they can order them separately.
Check also eBay but chances to find parts for this new notebook model are not so good.

  • Can a ribbon cable for the LCD or digitizer on the iPhone come loose?

I dropped my iPhone on its back yesterday so the back has a crack but when I picked it up and pushed the power button nothing happened its just off, so I put my earphones with a remote and clicked the button on the earphone to play music and the music played, my phone vibrates and ring when I get a text an call, Siri goes on but the screen just stays off. I was wondering what happened, maybe a ribbon came loose or something?

Yes the LCD ribbon cable connector can come loose with hard impact to iPhone. This is more common with iPhones which have had the front replaced, because the new screen often does not have the stock Apple cushion pads installed. However, hard impact to iPhone can outright break LCD which could be the problem too.

  • Is there any way to get a replacement Ribbon Cable for the Live!Dr

I had a second Li've! and Li've!Dri've hanging around the house, and gave the spare units to a friend of mine. Unfortunately I have been unable to come across the Ribbon cable. We already tried a standard IDE cable, and while it does fit, it didn't work. Does anyone know of somewhere I can get just a replacement cable? I looked on Ebay and found a card with the dri've and the cable for 0$+ shipping, but I don't need the card or the dri've, so I thought i'd try to see what I could find.

  • Where would i get 2nd hdd cable for hp dv7-series (long cable) that would ship to finland.

Where would i get 2nd hdd cable for dv7 series (long one) THAT would ship to Finland. (as the subject says eh')

    Hei:
It depends on where in the dv7 model series your PC falls.
There are 2 types of second HDD cables. The one Kamat pointed out for the dv7 6xxx series, and then there is this one at the link below for these dv7 series:
     http://www.newmodeus.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=345&zenid=b451f3afd6d86cd...
So, you will need to know what dv7 you have.
I believe they ship worldwide. A forum member from Italy got his from here. That is how I know about this site, and all about the fact that there are 2 types of 2nd HDD cables for dv7's.
The only part number referenced for a 2nd HDD cable in the service manual is for the dv7-6xxx series.

  • Need pin out information for the TB2644 J connectors

The online documentation for the TB-2644 interface block used with the 2532 Switch does not show the pinouts for the output connectors J1-J4. I need this information so that I can run ribbon cables to an external user interface.

    Hello KLP,
Welcome to the NI Discussion Forums!  If you search for 2644 on ni.com, you will get a link to the TB-2644 product page.  This page contains some useful information on the terminal block.  In the resources tab open the manuals link and you will see the 8 manuals associated with this device.  The NI TB-2644 Installation Instructions has the information you are looking for.  You can see the pinouts for the column and row connections on page 3 of the manual as well as some ribbon cables that will fit these connectors.  The 2644 is used for matrix expansion in the Dual 8x32 and 2-wire 8x32 matrix modes for the card.  The NI-Switches Help (installed when you install the switch driver) shows this information.  You can find this help file in Windows in the Start menu under Programs -> National Instruments - > NI-Switch -> Documentation -> NI Switches Help (the documentation folder also has the specifications sheets for each switch and terminal block supported by your version of NI-Switch).  If you go to the Devices section in the help file you will find the NI PXI-2532 listed.  There is section on the 2-Wire 8×32 Matrix Topology and the 1-Wire Dual 8×32 Matrix Topology.  If you check these you can see how each column and row is assigned to one of the connectors on the terminal block.  The terminal block installation guide will show you the ordering of the pins.  Hope this helps!

  • Where can I get a PATA data cable for HP Pavillion s7510n PC

Does anyone know where I might get a PATA Optical thin ribbon cable for a HP PAvilion Slimline s7510n PC?  Mine has come apart and I need to replace.

    Good morning,
No part # from part store:
         http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=EX255AA
I believe it's is a normal ribbon cable, not fancy stuff because we are using SATA now that why vendors stop selling it. Well I know where I can get but you need at least 15hrs flight to get to my place. My suggestion, it's an old machine, buying a new external optical drive now may be a cheaper option and save time for running around. External ODD's are cheaper than you thought.
    Have a good weekend.

So maybe this cable?  This is the one listed in the shop manual exploded diagram for the 17-inch 1 GHz model.
Google the "922-5770 flex cable" and you should find a few available.

  • Speaker Ribbon Cable

    Hi,
My girlfriends HP Pavilion G6 wasn't charging, tried another charger and same result so I replaced the charger port inside the laptop and it works fine.
However, in the process I manage to rip the ribbon cable for the speakers and she's currently having to use external speakers to get sound. Have tried searching for the ribbon cable to replace it, but unable to find one anywhere.
Does anyone know where I'm able to get one?
    Thanks

Hi @don320 I suggest you to first run a backup of the device information like this: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253 Then try performing a system repair using PC Companion: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiatabletz/tools/pc-companion/ I hope can be useful. I'm at disposal for any question. Best Regards,

i need to find the ribbon cable for the power button or the exact markings on the ribbon cable. i bought a tecra where the former owner bent all the ribbon cables. also if anyone has the specs on al the ribbon cables also would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance to anyone answering.

It is very problematic to find such parts. With a little bit luck you can find such cable on eBay. Check it out.
P300 models in general have similar parts so you can also use such cable offered for Satellite P300 too.

  • ZIF connector for Keyboard ribbon cable.

Anyone have success for locating replacement ZIF connectors for motherboard on dv8?

HC-Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, while replacing the keyboard on this dv8 (fading keys), I broke the locking tab. Hopefully I've not jimmied the socket also. I'll take a look at the Ebay listings. Thanks again.

I have run into this problem before with a number of members here and you will have to get a defective motherboard to salvage the locking tab, this is assuming the locking tab is the part that has broken or went missing.
A "parts" HDX18 motherboard locking tab will work and it is more likely you will find one on ebay then one for a dv8.

  • What ribbon cable should I get for my 3rd drive?

Hi, I just installed my 3rd hard disk drive in my 933MHZ(was 733) QuickSilver G4.
I recently emailed a vendor asking:
"Hello, I have a Mac 733 Quick Silver computer and I just installed my
third hard disk drive. I need a 40 pin 4(for later) drive scsi ribbon
cable. Can you help me? THANKS!
    Darren"
    His response:
"Darren, Two drives is the most you can get with standard IDE.
    Dave"
Did I ask for the wrong cable. From what I understand the QuickSilver can accomodate up to 4 internal drives. I would prefer to install a cable: 5 connector 4 drive than install a card.
The cable that I am using now for the 2 drives is APPLE P/N 590-2253 REV A
    FOXCONN P/N FC80C17-00 K 0115. On the white lable is 080-0003-192 FOXCONN.
    TIA

    Hi
Unlike SCSI, each IDE/ATA channel can only support a maximum of two devices, hence there isn't such a thing as a 5 connector 4 drive IDE ribbon cable. The options for a third ATA drive are:
    1. Mount it in the bay intended for a Zip drive (beneath the optical drive). Apple don't recommend this though due to possible heat issues and the bus is slower, being ATA/33 rather than ATA/66, which may affect performance.
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58200
    2. Mount it in an external firewire enclosure which can be bought separately (driveless).
    3. Buy a Mac compatible PCI card containing another ATA controller. These typically have two channels, each channel supporting two drives, for four drives in total.
    4. Replace the ATA drive with a SATA drive and buy a Mac compatible PCI card containing a SATA controller. These typically have two channels, each channel supporting one drive, for two drives in total. They can be used in conjunction with the two ATA drives on the inbuilt ATA controller though, and four channel versions are available supporting four drives.
