RichTextEdit PrintEx ignores user copies

PowerBuilder 12.5.1 Build 4015
When calling RichTextEdit.PrintEx a print properties dialog appears and the user has the option to change number of copies.
Problem is that whatever the user chooses PrintEx always prints 1 copy.
Also, I would like to know if there is a way to display the properties dialog with an initial number of copies different of 1, but allow the user to change this setting.

Hi Andreas;
Mark brings up a good point about the DW ... you might want to think about using a RichText DataWindow instead.
Food for thought.

  • NPS Not Respecting to Ignore User Dial-in Properties

Two domains, one works fine against it's NPS and the other does not; both look to have settings the same.
The one with issues is continually failing authentication with: "The Network Access Permission setting in the dial-in properties of the user account in Active Directory is set to Deny access to the user."
Every AD user we checked has the box checked to rely on NPS policy (none are set to deny) and the single policy we have set is set to allow and to ignore user-specific dial-in properties.
Policy conditions are NAS Port Type: Wireless/Wireless Other, Windows Groups (domain users) and Authentication Type EAP. Machine certificate is set correctly with PEAP and nothing else is different than defaults.
Any ideas on what's going on here?

    Hi,
    According to this article:
If the value of Network Access Permission is Control access through NPS Network Policy, NPS makes authorization decisions based solely on network policy settings.

So I guess NPS is not configured properly or not working properly.

In addition, you can also have a look at event log. This may give us some clue.

  • Risk Analysis - Ignored Users

I have a client who wants to have ignored users (in User Level Risk Analysis) set to Loacked OR Expired....not just Locked, not just Expired, not Locked AND expired....is there a "hidden" selection somewhere?

    Hi Jack,
i have made a quick test (RAR 5.3 SP11) and the option "Locked and Expired" ignores these users:
    1) Locked and Expired
    2) Locked
    3) Expired
So i would say that "Locked and Expired" is "Locked or Expired" too.
You can make a quick test with your SPxx and you will see.

  • Ignore user input until dialog (no command period allowed)

OK. Hopefully this will finish up my AS app bundle. I need the script to continue its process until the dialog is displayed. When the guest user does ({"."} using command down), the script just ends. Because it doesn't show up as error 128, the cancel script can't run to finish the process.
I have found that during a dialog, the user can't do ({"."} using command down) to prematurely quit the script. But then the script has to wait and can't continue processes with the dialog displayed... can it?
Basically, I need a way to keep the user from canceling the script before the dialog. It would also be nice to allow the user to be able to let the script run in the background while they did tasks like check eMail, etc.
Is there a way to ignore user input until the dialog?

here is what my script will be like when complete:
the app is installed into the login items via an script placed in iCal. When the user logs in, a process happens and the desktop image of the day is loaded. The dialog says "Please confirm that your desktop image is Thursday's image." If they confirm, then the script ends. If they select "is not" then the script repeats, it goes through the process again, installing the necessary files or replacing the old ones and doing other processes.
I have the master app that I can open up once a week and insert the necessary files into the contents folder. Then I make a quick little adjustment to the script, and set it in the server folder.
I have two real problems with the app: 1. I don't want user interference during the process to mess with the installation, 2. I don't want command period to stop the app from taking its course.
Another side issue is that I can access the enclosed files to set the desktop but can't find a way to copy the files to the correct folder. I couldn't find a way to use automator as a folder and an app. I would rather do it in AppleScript where I'm a little more familiar.

  • What exactly is your ignored user list for?

I have had reason to place a couple of posters on my ignored user list.  Naively, I assumed this would make their posts invisible but their posts are still there.
Does it serve any purpose or have I done it wrong?

This is a community forum. For communication with ones fellow users.
If you just want to ignore your fellow users, you are clearly on the wrong one.
Does this mean if I'am an ex BT user i can't post here??????
Sounds like exclusion to me !!!!!!!!

  • Default language and region, oracle ignores users wishes

    hi!
oracle seems to ignore users language wishes. for test, i
installed oracle 9i client. i'm using windows 2k us english, but
use localization of switzerland (numbers, date, etc.).
    the installer was:
    - in german
no way to convice it to go to english
    - i removed german from the installed product languages,
    i just left english.
    then i started enterprise manager:
    - it was in german!!
no way to get it to use english
    - all the umlauts were desplayed
    strangely.
you should really rethink your concept of localization. language
is NOT localization. a gui should offer to change the used
language EASILY (one click). a database should offer to change
the language in wich it writes error messages easily.

The Oracle installer and the enterprise manager pick up the
user's perferred language from the regional setting on your
Windows OS. Did you by any chance set your locale on Windows to
    German (Swiss) ?
Regarding the language of the database error messages, this is
driven by the language part of the NLS_LANG environment
variable. This is also session based, so it you really want to
you can have the 1st error message in German , follow by the
next one in French , and then in Italian etc ....

  • Ignore user imput for a period of time

    Hi there
    Was wondering whether anybody could answer this question;
Is there a way to tell Director to ignore all mouse clicks
    for a period of time?
I am swinging a qtvr sprite with various commands attached to
the swing action, including a timer.
In order for this to work out the user should not be able to
interfer with the swing action once it is in motion. They should
only regain control once the swing is complete and the commands
    have been carried out.
    Is this possible??
    Thankee kindly...

I think the simple but dirty trick, placing a transparant on
    top of your
sprite/stage (rectangle form the tools menu, with no border),
    will work.
Attach behaviour with empty mouseUp and mouseDown to the
    transparant, so
    mouseactions do not pass, like:
    on mouseUp me
    end
    on mouseDown me
    end
Move the transparant in/out when needed

  • Regression bug: Skype ignores user settings for lo...

A few versions ago, there was a new feature introduced that would give everybody a preview of images sent through IM.
It is nice to have an image preview, but nobody can choose where to save an image or a video anymore - the IM settings are duly ignored. I have finally managed to track down the folder where they are hiding, but this is really beyond the skills of an average computer user.
    So, please fix this bug?

Right click in the image preview and select Save as.

  • Ignore user-password value under CAR 4.0

    Hi All,
One of our NAS server, is using a default string for User-Password attribute value in the event that no password is set by the user in PAP authentication mode.
How can we ignore that value or set it to Null under CAR in order to use the AllowNullPassword Feature?
Please note that under CHAP Authentication mode the NAS Server does not modify CHAP-Password value so, if not set by user, AllowNullPassword works fine.

To grant administrative privileges to users, you must first log onto CAR using admin as the initial user name and password. Log onto CAR using this user name and password to grant CAR administrator rights to user(s) for the first time. This user ID and password will only work when there are no CAR administrators configured in the system. Once one or more users have been granted administrator rights, this initial logon (admin, admin) will be disabled. At this point, only CAR administrators (users who have been granted administrator rights initially using admin, admin, can grant CAR administrator rights to other users.

  • Create a personal favourite/ignore user list

    Hi,
How about being able to add forum users to a personal favourite / ignore list? Favourites could appear in one colour and blacklisted ones in another.
Much as we'd like to be one big happy family, we all know there are people whose comments you a) make a point of reading or b) others who you'd like to skip over. My problem is that there are so many people that I don't know who's who and the sheer volume means I often only have time to skim through posts. It can get frustrating release strategy  in workflow just to get to a few gems of real knowledge.
Being able to visually identify those I'm most/least interested in would help enormously to filter out the noise.
What are people's thoughts on this?
    Cheers,
    Mike

I second that. For myself, if I had to choose, I would actually put the ignore list with the highest priority, because there are people with similar (user) names and I don't trust my memory
The forum can be great, the challenge is to avoid the fate of similar UseNet groups which ended up being split in moderated and unmoderated groups.
Another idea, instead of or in addition to a favourite & not-so-favourite users list would be something similar to what is done at Experts Exchange (which I admittedly don't visit regularly any more).
Starting a thread subtracts from your points, while being rewarded, as today, or simply visiting the forums add to your account. Of course not as much for visiting as for helping someone, but those points are at least free. That would be an effective stop mechanism for "spammers" and encourage people to check previously answered questions as it would not cost them anything.
A pet peeve of mine is I prefer people to post under their real name, not the name of the main character in their favourite movie.

  • OIM 11g , Ignore User Creation

    Folks ,
I am facing a issue , hoping you guys could throw some pointers ..
I have a trusted recon set up via GTC DB connector . There is particular condition when i dont want the user to created in OIM though it will be pulled by GTC (Unfortunately i cant stop that).
So in nutshell, i want to ignore the OIM user creation when a particular reconciled attribute lets say firstName = ABC AND user is not already present in oim, then ignore the user creation ..
Any pointers how to achieve this ..
    Thanks
    Suren

Thanks Raghav for your response , but how ill this work .
So , when FirstName = ABC record will come , as per your recon rule .., it wont link to any existing user and it will land up in No Match Found status and as its trusted recon it will create the user .., which i dont want ..
I cant delete rest of the action rules , they are required for processing the updates etc ...
Please let me know if you need more info ..
    Thanks
    Suren

  • Unity Connection 8.0.3 - Opening Greeting ignores user input

    Hello,
When I dial CUC pilot number, I hear "Cisco Unity Connection messaging system. From a touchtone telephone you can dial extension at any time. For directory of extensions, please press 4..."
Problem is when I try to dial number 1001 or try to press 4 for directory of extensions, CUC always plays "Sorry there is no operator... Record your message after tone, when you are finished please hang up or press # for more options...". Also, when I record some message after tone, I am unable to cancel message after pressing 6. I think that CUC ignores my touchtone presses.
Setup is simple. CIPC registered to CUCM, CUCM and CUC integration is accomplished via SIP trunk. From CIPC, I dial CUC pilot number, and get mentioned prompts. On CUC, I have configured one user with 1001 extension and associated mailbox. Also, Opening greeting handler has CSS wich contain partition in wich the user with 1001 resides.

I just noticed that if integration is accomplished via SCCP, it works as desired!
Why DTMFs are not send via sip trunk... The question is now...

  • Blocking or ignoring users

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way to ignore posts from certain users...? By this I mean, when I view a thread, I don't even want to see a post from certain users.
I was also wondering if there was a way to block certain users from posting to a thread you started...?
I am guessing the answer to both these questions is no, but wanted to ask.

I have to disagree. To give one example, since the same questions turn up from time to time, I've posted a number of help pages on my webspace, so that I can simply refer questioners to them instead of having to keep typing (or pasting in) similar answers. I wouldn't want to see that facility withdrawn. Also one posts to sites offering relevant software - Transmit and Cyberduck are frequently referenced.
Those of us who run our own servers or have system level access to hosted accounts can do a lot of interesting things with that information.
I really think you are being over-cautious. If I access something on your server you can find out my ISP, my general geographical area, my monitor resolution, my operating system, and what page I linked from. You cannot access my home address, my passwords or anything personal like that. The information I listed is available to server operators every time you access anything on the net. Every time you browse you leave a trail behind you. If you make a habit of downloading illegal material you can expect your ISP to co-operate with the police in locating you (by releasing the information tying you to the IP number used) but ordinary users cannot do this (privacy laws). Otherwise if you don't want anyone to know your IP number - don't use the internet.

  • Installing and/or networking multiple single user copies of PSE

I run pse7 on a single machine using xp home. I bought it as a download and do not have a physical copy of the source program. I have now bought a second machine and would like to install pse7 on it using windows 7 home. I have several questions:
    1. How do install pse7 on the new machine?
    2. How do I copy my present catalog to the new machine?
    3. Can the catalog be treated as a shared resource so I can add/delete/edit files from either machine?

    Hi,
Is there only a single user encounter this issue?
If only a single user has this issue, try to move the mailbox to another database and check the result.
    Thanks.
