Rid calendar Inbox of accepted meetings

I use MS Exchange (Outlook) at work. It is synched to my iphone calendar. I have an iphone 6 with IOS 8.1.3.
When I send a meeting invite from Outlook that includes a conference room, the Acceptance response from the meeting room goes to my iphone calendar Inbox as a new message. So, I think i have a new meeting request, but when I open the Inbox it's just a message saying the conference room accepted my meeting. No other invites that accept that meeting go to my iphone calendar Inbox.
I'd rather not see this, since I also get an email indicating the acceptance. I don't know what's special about a meeting room where these go to my Inbox. This did not occur on my iphone4.
Any way to configure the calendar so just new meeting requests go to the Inbox?

The only way to prevent those notifications would be for your system admin to turn them off on exchange. Individual users can accept a request without responding; a resource mailbox cannot make that decision on its own.

• Exchange iOS calendar sync 4 cancellations & accepted meetings

Using corporate Exchange 2010 servers for calendar and email me and my co-workers experience the following annoyance.
When a meeting in outlook is cancelled and this is accepted using the windows client, the cancelled meeting is still shown in de ios calendar. It is noted cancelled using strikethrough, but it still clutters my calendar. As my calendar is a battlefield these cancellations make it hard to see which meetings I do have... How can I change this behaviour?
Similarly for accepted meetings, these (with cancellations aswell) remain unprocessed in my ios calendar tray while I allready accepted or rejected the invitations using outlook in windows.
I'm referring to ios because I have this problem with both my iPhone (4S on ios5, no iCloud sync for calendar) and iPad (2 on ios5, no iCloud sync for calendar).
Result: cancelled meetings have to be removed manually on iphone en ipad, invitations in outlook have to be processed three times (pc, iphone, ipad).
My questions: is this behaviour recognized? (i.e. is our Exchange setup different or is this a general problem).
Any tips/hints how to solve these bugs? or should I try to accept them as features...
Thx!
Mike

Having same issue with following equipment: PC (standard corp issue laptop), BB (Blackberry phone), Tablet (Blackberry Playbook tablet)
Here are the steps:
Send out 3 meeting invites
The emails shows up on all 3 devices, PC, BB, Tablet
Before you open the email and accept/tentative/decline that invite...all 3 devices show the 3 "unaccepted" meetings on the calendar
Then accept meeting invite #1 on the PC, accept meeting #2 on the BB, and accept meeting #3 on the Tablet
After the acceptance all 3 meetings they show up fine in the calendars on the PC and BB...no problem here.
But only meeting number 3 which was accepted on the Tablet shows on the Tablet
The problem is that the other 2 meetings which were on the Tablet before being accepted, are removed when accepted.

• Event invites from Mail appearing in Calendar as "Maybe" but not showing in Calendar inbox

Hello everyone,
I'm actually new to using invites and Calendar on iPhone, so maybe it's something I'm missing. But when I receive an invitation for an event that was created and sent from another iPhone using Calendar, I am not easily finding the option to "Accept" or "Deny".
The calendar source is a CalDAV server, and all systems are functioning 100% as expected on that end. The calendars are accessible and editable by any device, so I'm pretty sure the issue isn't here.
I would expect the "mime-attachment.ics" received in the email to allow me to reply from that source, or to at least find the invite automatically listed in my Calendar "Inbox". Neither is the case. However, if I go and find the event in the calendar itself, it's sitting there with "hash" marks through the event until I go in and "Accept" or "Deny". At this point, it shows up in my Calendar inbox under the "Replied" section. So, it's definitely making it into my calendar.
Should it not automatically show up in my Calendar inbox under the "New" section from the beginning? Or what about being able to "Accept" or "Deny" straight through Mail? Hopefully I'm not goofin' up here -- but I sure am stumped.
Thanks for any help.

Eustace, sadly this did not work. It's a full week and I had to keep using Thunderbird to check that I'm not missing any mail. I don't get it, some comes in, some gets left out.
Today I tired Eric Root's reindexing solution and that did not do anything either.
I saw mail bringing in 188 messages and NOTHING new showed up. It did in T-bird because it was all the past week's mail
Thunderbird *****. It doesn't even pay attention to rules I set up in it. I want my Apple mail back!
Can I try to reinstall the mail app from my disks without having to delete the mail app entirely? Will the new files overwrite the old ones and 'freshen' it up (so to speak) and fix this communicaiton issue?

• Can not receive other iCloud invitations in my calendar inbox

Hi,
I have a really annoying problem on my iOS devices.
First the setting:
I have an iPhone 5, iPad 3 and MacBook Air. Historically I have TWO iCloud-Accounts (started with a iTunes-Account for buying apps and stuff and made myself a MobileMe-Account later, before they merged everything into iCloud).
For calendar, contacts and e-mail-services I use my me.com-Account which is NOT the account on which all my devices are registered - this my cause the problems, but I am not sure.
Now for the problem: My girlfriend uses an iPhone 4S with an iCloud-account.
If she sends me any invites, I only get them as e-mails with an attached ical-file. I can manage to accept invitations by using the hyperlinks in the e-mail and add the date to my calendar by using the ical-file attached, but for example if she removes a appointment, I just get the e-mail but I can never remove it from my calendar since there is no "remove" hyperlink and I can also not edit the foreign appointment in my calendar.
This really *** and now for my question:
Why do I not get her invites as a regular invitation in my calendar inbox???

Unfortunately that isn't possible, if you have any suggestions that you think might enhance iCloud you can send Apple your feedback here.

• Users receive "does not accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes" with MaximumDurationInMinutes set to 0

Hi everyone,
We are running on Exchange 2007. I have a user who is attempting to book a meeting on a calendar and is receiving the error, "Your meeting request was declined. This resource does not accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes." I know
this is related to the "MaximumDurationInMinutes" property returned from Get-MailboxCalendarSettings in the Exchange Management Shell. This value is currently set to 0, which I understand to mean unlimited. The user did not experience

Hi Derek,
I find related information as below:
The default options allow all users to book resources if they are within the set policies (i.e. up to 180 days in the future, up to 1440 minutes in duration, etc.), and will reject all other meetings. In the context of resource mailboxes,
InPolicy and OutOfPolicy simply mean whether or not the meeting invitation matches any restrictions enabled on the resource mailbox. For example
MaximumDurationInMinutes value for the resource mailbox is 30 minutes, any meeting invitation longer than 30 minutes would be considered OutOfPolicy. Using the
RequestOutOfPolicy parameter, you can manually add users that are allowed to request meetings that are not within the policy, and if you really want to lock things down, you can set the
AllBookInPolicy value to False, and then manually add users to the
BookInPolicy field, or more restrictive, to the
RequestInPolicy field.
More details to see:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/05/14/3402515.aspx
I suggest set the MaximumDurationInMinutes parameter to a big number. Find a similar thread for your reference:

• Cannot edit Calendar Inbox

My calendar is sync'd to my office calendar. It works fine. But when I set up meetings, some, not all, responses go to the inbox in my iPhone calendar. If I am working in Office and move objects, they used to move as the calendar was updated. Since I downloaded iOS8, the Calendar Inbox has been filling up with items that are not deleted, AND I cannot delete them on my iPhone. I acknowledge the Calendar Inbox item, but it does not go away and resides in the Inbox. I am now at 7 items in the Inbox that are always showing as new items in the front page app. (That is the number 7 in a red circle on the calendar symbol.) How do I remove those items????

The edit feature was working correctly with the calendars and stopped. Performed a sync through iTunes removing syncing preferences first. Did not resolve the issue. I am considering restoring the iphone.

• Auto-accept meetings

Hey
Is there a way to auto-accept meetings? The thing is that I have a user that uses a palm and only syncs with the calendar server. He never uses the desktop client.
He also has 2 secretaries, one that works only for him and one that helps him and the other prefects.
They both have designate rights but the second secretary sends out group invitations so she cannot designate the meetings just for him.
So, the question is, is there a way to auto-accept all meetings that are sent out by a certain person?
We are currently using oracle 9.0 calendar server.
/Aidin

Hi we run calendar engine 9.0.4.2.13.
There is no way to auto-accept meetings. This can only be achieved when you create a resource.
Does the 2nd secretary open Group View; Open as designate?

Fred

• Calendar invites are not showing up in the Calendar Inbox

Calendar invites from Google Calendar are not showing up in the iPhone Calendar Inbox. They do show up in the actual iPhone calendar (greyed out waiting for a response) but if you are managing multiple invites it's very important to view the invites especially if dealing with multiple invites on different days. This is affecting users with Iphone4, 4s and 5 on multiple iOS's.

Sorry for the late reply, it is still an irritating issue. Apple says it's Google's poblem. Google thinks it's Apple's issue. Extremly irritating.
I tried setting up the Calendar using the Exchange presets but that did not solve the invitation problem.

• How do I get rid of "INBOX" and go back to "GOOGLE"?

I can't get rid of "INBOX" and go back to "GOOGLE" when I open Firefox. The posted solutions requires me to start by entering about:config in the location bar. I don't have the foggiest notion of what the Hell is a location bar and what the next step means: "in the filter at the top......". Don't have any idea how this got changed during the last day or so, but it is extremely irritating and THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL TO GET A REAL LIVE PERSON TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

Also note that your System Details List shows multiple Flash plugins.
# Shockwave Flash 12.0 r0
# Shockwave Flash 11.9 r900
You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.
You can check the Flash player installation folder for multiple Flash player plugins and remove all (older) version(s) of the plugin (NPSWF32) and (re)install the latest Flash player.
*(32 bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
*(64 bit Windows) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
You can open the about:config page via the location bar and search for prefs that refer to ask.com and reset user set (bold) ask.com prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

• When I accept meetings in outlook 2010 on my Iphone it does not send my acceptance to the requestee. How do i fix this

When I accept meetings in outlook 2010 on my Iphone it does not send my acceptance to the requestee. How do i fix this

Outlook 2010 is an email client that runs on a PC. It does not run on an iPhone at all.
Is this a corporate email account? What did your IT department say when you went to them about the problem?
The ability to correctly process meeting requests when using an Exchange server depends on the version of Exchange your organization is running. It has nothing to do with what mail client you use on your PC.

• Calendar Inbox Sync

Is there a way to sync the Calendar Inbox with multiple devices ? Every time I receive a notification for a new event in my Inbox, I have to click OK on each and every device.

Hi
I have the a similar problem - only I can't actually get the calendar to show up. I've added the account and it's showing Mail and Notes but not Calendar. But I'd like it to show the outlook calendar.
I'm going to
Go to settings > mail contacts calendar
select your account that's affected
But under that account there isn't a calendar showing and I can't see any options to add it?

• Calendar crashes when accepting new appointment with iOS4 on 3GS

I have an Exchange account setup with a provider to sync my mail and calendar. I get a meeting invitation which shows a badge on the calendar app icon. I can open the calendar app, and click on the invitations icon on the bottom right. I can see the invitation. But since the iOS4 upgrade, when I touch the actual appointment to view it and accept it, the calendar app crashes. I went into the web access view of that calendar and accepted the appointment. Normally that would make the invitation on the phone go away, but in this case it is stuck. Any ideas or is this a bug?

So I have a partial work around for this. From the service provider side, I turned off the appointment notifications. Then I went into the phone settings and turned off calendar sync which removed the entries from my calendar and it no longer crashes. When I turned calendar sync back on in the phone, my appointments came back.
This is not a fix because now I don't get appointment notifications that I can accept. Which means I have no idea if someone sends me a meeting request until I first check in my regular web or mail client (in this case GroupWise 8). Once I accept the appointment in a regular mail client, the calendar entry will sync to my phone.
Apple, this is a bug that needs to be fixed soon. My iphone is my primary source of mail and appointments. Daily I get appointments for meetings and calls that are only 2-3 hours away. I will be unable to attend those if I don't know about them.

• How do I see calendar event responses (accept, decline,...)?

Does Yosemite Calendar track the responses? I just can't seem to find a way in the Calendar app itself on my macbook how to see who accepted, declined, maybe, or didn't respond at all yet. I see this very easily from my iPhone calendar app, just not on Mac.
Thanks!

I'm not seeing where it shows me that. Is it only the icons that tell me this? There's no hover text or right click menu option that gives any other indication.

• Calendar inbox icon

All the screenshots on the Apple site show the Calendar app on iPhone as having five icons at the bottom:
Today, List, Day, Month - INBOX
Mine shows no inbox, is it incorrectly configured?

It appears that the invitation inbox is part of the Exchange functionality only.
Quite a shame, as it would seem that Calendar event invites would be a no brainer for the iPhone -- particular when joined with Mobile Me, which is supposed to be "Exchange for the rest of us".
As it is, one can't even create a new event in Calendar on the iPhone and invite anyone -- you have go to iCal for that (from what I can tell, you can't even add additional attendees to an event through the Mobile Me Web App!)
Very strange omission here, and quite a bummer. Half the scheduling problems I have are between by girlfriend and I's schedules; why wouldn't easy additional user inviting, with direct notification and integration through the Calendar app not be offered?
