Right Click Convert - Application Error - Adobe Pro 9

Hi all
I got following error when I try to convert a office document to pdf via the context menu:
"Acrobat Elements.exe - Application Error"
The instruction at "0x616321dd" referenced memory at "0x00000001". The memory could not be "read".
This happens with Adobe Pro 9, and all Adobe Pro 9 patches.
Testet on ~ 15 different machines, freshly installed machines etc. Before that we had Adobe Pro 7 and there it worked without a problem, the problem just happens when we install Adobe Pro 9.
Does anyone have a solution for this or a hint?

I checked for the same but it only asks once for the file name.
Please upgrade Acrobat X to 10.1.12 and then check.

Acrobat 11 Pro - problem with right-click "Convert to Adobe PDF" output folder

I'm migrating from one machine running Windows XP Pro with Acrobat 8 Pro to Windows 7 Pro with Acrobat 11 Pro.
On the XP machine, when I right-click on a document and select "convert to Adobe PDF" the process works just fine - it always outputs the file to the target destination I have set in the Adobe PDF printer definition.
On the Windows 7 Pro/Acrobat 11 Pro machine, the exact same settings are ignored: the PDF will always end up in the same folder as the source file.
Both the source folder and the destination folder are on one of my office's networked drives.
Under the Printing Preferences, I have the output folder address set the same on both machines, so it *should* go to the right location on the new machine.
Oddly enough, on the Acrobat 11 Pro machine, if I select Adobe PDF as the default printer and do a test print, it *does* print to the correct folder!
This has got me stumped!

If Adobe PDF is selected as the default printer, I *can* select a bunch of documents, right-click, select "print", and Word will open up, and they'll print to the correct target folder.
So, it's "just" the right-click "Convert to Adobe PDF" that doesn't work correctly.

The reinstall is typically the last ditch effort to do. The first step is Help>Repair and Help>Updates. As far as Office 2013, the PDF Maker of AA X is not compatible and you can only print. In your list of errors it showed a problem with AcroTray.exe. As a first step, go to the print and select print-to-file. The file will be a PS file (maybe with a PRN extension). Once the printer if finished, open the file in Distiller to complete the process. If that is successful, then the problem is with AcroTray. Check your running tasks to be sure AcroTray is indeed running. If not, that is likely the problem. If it is, then restart it (it is located in the Acrobat folder). AcroTray provides the interface between the PS creation and Distiller to automate the process of creating the PDF.

Convert application error to system error

Iam facing an issue in BPM, Iam triyng to access to a webservice using synchronous send step, and I ahve an exception branch to catch the syetm error and fault message. Eventhough I specified fault messages, application error was not properly recognized. For this Iam trying to write an adapter module.
In that adapter module I want to access the error in runtime environment, massage the application error look like system error.
Iam lookign for info like, how do I access the error in runtime environment and covert it to look like system error so that BPM could see that as a system error.

As per my understandiong Application errors different with System errors. so i dont think we can convert application error to system error.
you need to find other way to handle applications error.

Right Click convert to pdf - Gone AND Combining word docs and pdfs gone

I am on a Lenovo all in one think centre m92z, i have a creative cloud membership and have the most current version of acrobat xi pro. Up until 2 weeks ago i used to be able to right click and convert any file to a pdf, now that seems to have dissapeared... anyone know how to get that back?

Further more i cant even combine pdf's and word docs in the "combine files" dialogue box where you can drag and drop etc.

I am having the same issue, I have tried repairing the installation and it did not work, I have uninstalled and then reinstalled and still no right click options. I have 3 computers with this issue and each of them when you right click will not show any of the acrobat options, but they do have a blank line (no text) that when clicked will open the combine window. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Unable to right click on Master Page - Adobe Muse CC

How do I access Page Properties to update Metadata when right clicking on the Master Page does not work in Adobe Muse CC?

It should work, but you can also go to the top menu bar and click on "Page/Page Properties" a graphic user interface box will come up, click on the Metadata link at the top.

Right-click initiates Acrobat 8.0 Pro Installer

Problem occurs:
A.) Whenever I load Windows
B.) Whenever I right-click a file
C.) Whenever I right-click on the desktop
What happens:
Adobe Acrobat 8.0 installer starts, apparently installing the program (despite the fact that I already installed it as part of the CS3 Design Premium).
Troubleshooting history:
Ive tried re-installing Acrobat with no success. Ive tried removing the entire CS3 Design Premium and re-installing, with no success. I've manually deleted all previous Acrobat installations. I've wasted hours troubleshooting this "bug," not to mention its created a severe retardation of my operating system.

Can you post the solution or a link to the solution in this discussion? I have not been able to fine it. Thanks!

Application Error: Adobe Has Encountered a Problem?

I know this thread is a million times posted and one fix for one system doesn't resolve the issue for another system so instead of reinventing the wheel with this error I am reverse engineering the error. I will post what fixes it for my situation in hopes to find a permanent long term solution instead of a simple bandage. I have an internal application that uses a pdf reader to view pdf's and when using Adobe Reader 9.x (multiple versions attempted and all properly uninstalled/reinstalled), a popup is displayed onscreen with the generic Adobe Reader has Encountered a Problem and Needs to Close notification. After reading many posts regarding this error and attempting a multitude of fixes I was able to identify my point of failure. The application calling upon Adobe is launched as a different user then the actual user signed into the OS (application is launched as an administrator account but the user is actually a limited user account) so when Adobe attempts to access user specific files then it fails and inevitably crashes the application. I have added special permissions to every file ProcMon identifies as being touched (Adobe included) but still end up with the same results (all other readers work fine but I prefer Adobe) so the only work around was to imbed a call out into the application code to forever launch Adobe as a set user anytime certain extensions were called upon. Outside the application Adobe works fine and there are zero errors when launching pdf's, internal and external to IE. However, I am now experiencing other issues due to this "arranged marriage" between these two applications (i.e. a third OS user attempts to use this application then it fails, File does not begin with '%PDF-') so if anyone has ever been able to find the root of this error under these circumstances (a solution would be a bonus) then any added assistance in where to go next would be greatly appreciative. Not sure where this went! I got a new MBP and moved my user account over - was this part of Quicktime Pro? I used to have it, still have a license, but not sure why it would have bugged out with the user migration.
I always thought this was just built into iTunes as it's always been there for me, was trying to show my friend how to do it and the feature wasn't there on his PC, I guessed it must have been a mac thing so went to show him on my laptop and it's gone here too.
Is this a QT Pro issue, something they just removed from iTunes or ???

That feature was removed from the contextual menus in the 9.1 update to iTunes. You have to use the comment under the Advanced menu now.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Creating PDF from explorer (Right-Click) problem

I am new here. I've searched the forums here and maybe I've missed finding the solution. We recently updated from Acrobat 6 Pro to Acrobat 9 Pro, and I can no longer get a PDF to be created in the same folder the Word, Excel or other file is located.
In otherwords, when I use (under Windows Explorer) the right-click option and Convert to Adobe PDF, Acrobat 9 Pro keeps asking me where to save this file! Under Acrobat 6 Pro, it would just create the file under the same folder unless I specified otherwise.
I have tried to look under the Word 2003 Adobe PDF "Change Conversion Settings" and I do not have the box next to Prompt for Adobe PDF file name checked.
Am I missing something? I would have assumed this simple process would have carried over from Acrobat 6 Pro. I really do not want to go through a bunch of processes just to save the PDF in the same folder. Under Acrobat 6 Pro, this was a simple task. I am not doing anything major, just converting various Word (.doc) files to PDF.

Using Windows 7, Acrobat 10.0.1, basically the same problem.
Explorer > Right-Click > Convert to Adobe PDF
brings up the Save As dialog and if you'll notice the path in the address bar at the top, it defaults to the last folder in which you created a PDF.
In the Save As dialog, browse to the folder in which you want to save the PDF then click the Save button. This folder will stay in effect until you change it by browsing to a different one in the Save As dialog.
Using Acrobat X, I tried everything I could think of to get a fast, efficient way of converting multiple files to PDF (with the same name and in the same folder as the source files) and, unfortunately, the method described above seems to be the fastest. I tried drag and drop to an Adobe PDF printer shortcut and that didn't work at all--it did nothing! In Acrobat X, File > Create > Batch Create Multiple Files will present a dialog with options for saving to the same folder and keeping the same name as the source file, although it seems like the files process slower in addition to having to click 8 times (not counting selecting the files) before the process begins.
I fervently hope that Adobe will change Explorer > Right-Click > Convert to Adobe PDF back to automatically saving to the same folder as the source document.

Project set comprises several, more than a couple dozen, dependent Flex and Java projects.
Time-to-time we run across an internal build error on all Flex projects.

When it happens you can not open project "Properties | Flex Compiler" dialog because error
message pops up saying "The currently displayed page contains invalid values."
I am not sure how "an internal build error..." relates to "...displayed page contains invalid values"
but it worth to mention anyway.

Getting the same error and deleting bin-debug files doesn't help. All switch statements have a case so that isn't an issue either.
Says to right click on the error for more info but that brings ups broken webpage.
Adobe I think you really rushed Flash Builder out to fast. These weird errors and the namespace debacle is just totally unprofessional.

Right Click jpg from Windows Explorer Convert to pdf page size issue

I'm running Acrobat 8 Standard and trying to figure out what controls the page size when you right click and select convert to pdf on a jpg file. I've got several jpg files of all shapes and sizes and no matter what I try the pdf is always Letter Landscape. If I use File - Create PDF - From File within Acrobat then the pdf retains the size of the original jpg and that is what I want the right click to do.

I wanted to add a little more detail. Using the right click convert to pdf on any jpg results in a pdf that is landscape letter. If the jpg is smaller than the page it is scaled up but if it bigger then it gets cropped. I can open the same files from inside Acrobat and they convert without a problem. Any thoughts on what controls the conversion process whenever using the right click feature on a jpg file?

Facing Strange Problem in DIR HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR? (through parent script/ movie?)

Summary : HARD QUESTION : In the DIR file, the game runs well, right click = no effect. Coz I'm not making right click scripts. BUT in EXE file, right click = ERROR.
Explanation :
In the Adobe Director screen, this DIR file game is worked 100%.
I tested right click EVERYWHERE... NOTHING HAPPENS.
Because I don't make any programming with "on rightmouseup" or "on rightmousedown" command.
THEN, I published it into EXE...
I tested right click EVERYWHERE...I hoped the result will be the same as DIR tests....
WHEN I RIGHT CLICK IN THE AREA THAT'S GIVEN ON EXITFRAME ME, IT SHOWS ERROR, CHANGING PICTURES.....
this does not happened in the DIR file...
I didn't make a runmode program or anything else.... This is awkward... mystery for me...

I need your help and guide through this problem...
In the game's dir file that is run on the DIRECTOR softwawre,
the game runs perfectly, I can do LEFT CLICKS (coz I programmed the script)
and when I do RIGHT CLICKS = there are no effect ( coz I don't do script for it)
LATER THIS GAME TURNED INTO EXE.
It supposed to run like the dir file as ABOVE. BUT STRANGELY, WHEN
I DO RIGHT CLICKS, it turns Error and showing as the picture attachment.
The right clicks that goes error are above the picture of numeric button only. (in DIR file
this run normal). I looked into the script behind the numeric button picture, there are only "on exitframe me", there are no script I made inside the "on exitframe me" that is triggering RIGHT CLICKS.
1. I wonder why there are differences in DIR and EXE effect
2. Why right click? Left click effects are all normal.
3. IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE ALL RIGHT CLICKs since the beginning of EXE. So the game will be run normal. I don't need right clicks anyway, but whenever people do right click there will be ERROR.??
4. Is there any way to STOP THE MESSSAGE BOX TO APPEAR IN FRONT OF THE GAME? (I hate the Dirrector Error Message Box), or auto press OK.
NB: this game uses Buddy API Xtras, File IO Xtras.

Is it can grant an admin right for special application ?(No Runas as Administrator)

Dear All
Background: We have an application which run on users group in server 2000 SP4 is normal.
We want upgrade the OS to Win7 , on the Win7 the application can not launch on normal users group.
I was try the properties of compatibility to server 2000 and choose "Run this program as an administrator" and edit the regedit key permission , both of all is not work on my case.
It is ok right-click the application and runas as administrator, but on the other hand I find runas administrator has some other error with the application.
May I know is it has a method can grant the admin right to special user when running special application ?

What application can not run in Windows 7? I think there is a application compatibility issue, so please attempt to run Program Compability troubleshooter.
Also, you said you got some error while you ran as administrator with runas command. And what are the errors?

Based on my knowledge, we cannot grant the special user with admin right unless you add this special user to Administrators group. When a special user is running a application requiring administrator permission, it will prompt to input administrator username
and password.
