Right click folder add to itunes?
I am constantly finding new music and adding it to my itunes. I was wondering if there was a plugin/app/extension that makes it possible for me to right click a FOLDER(preferably not just audio files, but a folder containing them) and having a selection to add to itunes. I keep itunes open always so i can play my music in a hearbeat and this function would be really awesome.
Just drag the files into your Automatically Add folder. iTunes will add them to its library immediately if it is running, or else the next time it starts.

Can't add a new folder to desktop when right clicking. Add a New Folder is missing.
I would like to add a new folder to desktop so as to organize my desktop screen. When I right click to drop down menu "New" the Add a new folder option isn't there anymore.

OBVIOUS MEMORY LEAK
iTunes about:10.6.3.25
windows 64 bit Home on AMD64 HP G60 laptop
downloaded and installed "iTunes32Setup.exe"
saw the problem and uninstalled it
downloaded and installed "iTunes64Setup.exe"
iTunes about:10.6.3.25
now i see process "iTunes.exe*32
it is ok when it play song list
but ***** UP MEMORY when i click on another song to play. apparently it doesn't release previous player thread

if you right click on a song, the memory will blow up antother 6MB and won't release it...can do it all day long

sooooo.. is it the uninstaller or is iTunes64Setup.exe mispackaged or do both have memory problems on AMD 64 ?Unfortunately I was able to repeat the memory leak even with turning the Toolbar off. To replicate the problem, I was able to watch the memory leak each time I actively selected a new song with the iTunes open. I was able to repeat the leak with and without both Spotify and TuneUp Companion running and not running. The only thing I noticed is when both Spotify and iTunes were open, the memory leak from iTunes added insult to injure with Spotify which kept trying to sync up with iTunes local library which would crash Spotify as well. But I can confirm the memory leak is in iTunes 10.6.3.25 (looking forward to 10.6.4 fixing the problem).

okay not sure how this works so here i go again.
Okay i bought a dell pc with windows 8 (big mistake) i downloaded itunes and from my external hard drive, right clicked a movie file (in ipad format, because this worked in vista on my old laptop) and it will not go into itunes. And itunes keeps crashing. Is there a glitch with win 8 and itunes ? I never had this prob with vista. I would right click a file and say open with itunes and poof it goes in the library. Please help before i throw this thing out the window! OH newest itunes is what i have installed.Take a look at this MBP, a refurbished unit. Don't let the late 2011 release date put you off. For about $500 less than an equivalent 'new' one with similar specifications you get a quad core CPU and excellent graphics. As Steve359 mentioned, this can be upgraded if the need arises and has the same warranty as a 'new' one
I would not be surprised that these may actually be 'new' MBPs due to the length of time that they have been replaced by the current generation. I purchased a 17" model about 5 weeks ago, and a serial number check suggests that it is 9 weeks old.

I have an add-on built for version 2004. It works fine on 2004 installs. It works fine on 2005 installs except for when the user right clicks anywhere in SAP. The right click will then cause the add-on to crash and prompt the user to Restart it, continue without it etc.
I don't have any events associated with the right click and I'm filtering out all events not associated with the two forms I'm working with.

Right clicking my iDevice in iTunes gives old restore options
I just noticed that if I right click my iPhone in my Mac's iTunes and selecting restore, it gives me options for a bunch of very old backups, along with one undated backup (the one from this morning)
Further checking, I see that I can't even select restore that way with my iPad. I just tried again, and it tells me I need to turn off "Find My iPad before restoring", even though it is backed up to my Mac.
I wish to have previous backups available, but how do I control them?
(All of my software and firmware is current)Interesting. I just tested this out by restoring my current backup then checking. This particular backup is now available. A clumsy way of doing things, but now I can have a useful backup. It does no good to discover I need a backup, only to find out that I backed up a bad copy this morning.
So once a week, I will restore my iDevices right after the morning backup. Very unintuitive and time consuming.
Is there a way to delete old backups I no longer want (or maybe can't even use)? -
Is there a way to right-click the signature of an incoming email and have it parsed out into the Contacts all in Mavericks? I sometime receive emails from someone and want to add them to my contacts.

MannyDepending on the actual signature, you should be able to see a down arrow when you place your cursor in the text.
Selecting will open a window to create a new contact or add to an existing contact.
You can also get this option by putting cursor on their from email address. You'll have the option to Add to contacts. Once an email is added to contacts the option will change to Show contact. -
i rented a movie... it shows as renteal under my library category... but that is the only place... how do i transfer it to my ipod classic?... it does not show under movies when i click that tab after clicking my device icon

Please make top of "add to playlist" right-click-menu to be last three playlists added to - please!
It is kind of a drag when i want to right-click and add a song to a playlist, when I have to scroll way down on my many lists - Would be great if the top lists shown could be the three (or any low number) lists I previously added songs to. Then it would be easy to add several more songs to the playlists I just added to.. Kinda like they have done on Pinterest, when adding a pic to one of your boards.
Make any sense?Trial and error revealed that it's the Swagbucks button, which is strange, because I don't think that particular extension normally affects the right-click menu at all. It did recently get updated, though, so I suppose a bug of some kind got in. Hopefully Swagbucks will fix that.

I recentlydownloaded Itunes version 11.0.4.4 and am having difficulty adding artwork to any new folders of music i add to my ipod classic.In prior versions you could either drop and drag or right click on the song,go to "get info" and paste and image into the artwork tab.Can't do either of these now.How do you add artwork in the latest version of Itunes?Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I had the same problem and i came up with a very simple solution that worked for me.
Step 1 Look for the folder where your mp3 is stored. (example My Music Folder)
Step 2 Right Click on the music file and select properties
Step 3 On the General tab UNCHECK read only and click OK or Apply
Step 4 Go to itunes and rightclick the music title
Step 5 Select Get info and paste or drag your Album artwork at the Artwork Tab.

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.
The itunes store is not global at all, never has been. You cannot redownload your content from another country. You can only use the countrys itunes store for the country that you are physically located. -
Right-click add to Playlist shortcut not working in iTunes 11.1
Since upgrading to itunes 11.1 I find that the right-click> Add to Playlist option is not working. I go through the steps but the selected song is never in the playlist I selected. The only workaround I found is to Edit the Playlist and then drag and drop songs to the playlist. Selecting songs from another already existing playlist? Forgot about it!
Is this a bug? Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? This is really annoying as this is how I built my playlists for years. Two days ago I spent a half hour right-click and adding to playlist only to find the list was empty after all my work. (And I really wouldn't have to be doing this if the stupid upgrade hadn't blown away all my playlists in the first place). Sigh.did you get this fixed? Apple, please make this easier - it used to be dead simple with tunes on the right of the playlist lists and you'd drag, now, seeing playlists and songs at the same time is a pain, you have to use to edit option or the NOT WORKING right click method. Is this fixed in a later version? I have v11.05 - I am fed up of keep upgrading at 80Mb a go and 20 minutes out of my life hence, I am not up to the most recent. If it still is a problem with the latest, I'll have to wait til the next

What's the earliest version of iTunes to include the play next and add to play next feature when right clicking a song?
I started out with version 11 and loved it right up to the latest update.
I'm beyond my partying days so DJ has nothing for me but I realy loved the drop down with "what's next", the "play next" and the "add to play next" feature and best of all "SHOW DUPLICATES".
I have an eclectic taste in music and a very extensive music collection to go with it. The "show duplicates" feature allowed me to shrink my library by well ove 1,000 songs and eliminated hearing the same song several times when playing randomly. ie, I have the complete Rolling Stones collection and was able to get rid of no fewer than 7 coppies of "Satisfaction".
With all the duplicates lined up you can sample each one and avoid deleting different versions also.
I'm eagerly waitng for the next update to see if my problems with 11 will be fixed. The current update drops out sections of songs (Whipping Post by the Alman Bros. was over in 3 minutes) and I tried repairing and a complete uninstall, reinstall to no avail.
