Right click plug-in?
Any plugin or way to enable right clicking on OSX? I know when I'm on Boot Camp I'm able to right click.
Just not used to control click.
You don't need anything but a 2 button mouse or a mighty mouse. If you have a mighty mouse you may have to enable the right click function in your Keyboard & Mouse settings. Go to System Preferences/Keyboard & Mouse.

Email Security Plug-in - Doesn't seem to work with right click or save and send
I've searched the knowledge base but have not located the answer yet.
We have the Encrypt Message plug-in installed to flag the email [SEND SECURE]. This works very well when in Outlook. It does not seem to work when right clicking a file to send outside of Outlook or performing Save and Send from within Microsoft Office. The add-in still shows and users are clicking it and the Send button but the emails are not going securely. We are on Microsoft2010 on mostly XP machines.
How can I get Encrypt Message to work in all instances?

Bought a new laptop. Have an iPad 4 that I have not updated to iOS 7 yet. I plugged it in, wanting to back it up before I update it, when I right click on the device the ONLY option it gives me is "eject". why?
There's an article that Apple has acknowledged this issue. They recommend turning off imessages, reset all settings and then reactivate imessages.
If that doesn't work, you may just have to wait until they release an update, which should be pretty soon. -

Having the exact same issue. Also, on right click, many apps freeze/beachball and must force close. Additionally, uTorrent and Transmission are not operating correctly-uTorrent constantly beachballing and unresponsive. Right-click freezes with everything from Word to iMovie. Takes way too much time to do anything, and lots of cursor freezing, here is a sys log excerpt:

That killed the hard drive, so I got a new hard drive and had the Apple Store install Lion on it, then used Migration Assistant to bring files over. Since then I've upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been experiencing lots of beach balls, freezes, etc. They're so bad that I've had to forcibly shut down 3 times, and each time can't restart. Two Finger Right Click on late G4 iBook with USB Trackpad?
I learned that with OSX Version 10.4.7 it is possible to use the two-finger-click instead of ctrl-click for right-clicking. But this only works on the new Intel Macbooks/Pro. Well, this is nice.
For older Laptops with ADB-Trackpad there is a freeware program called iScroll2 which also provides this feature.
For the late 2005 G4 iBooks with USB-trackpads there is apparently nothing:
The feature doesn't come with 10.4.7 here and iScroll2 is ADB-only.
On the one hand I don't really get the problem here, why these machines are not supported.
Since there is no announcement from apple it seems that they are just not interested in supporting computers which have been sold till not even a year ago.
If Apple is definitely not planning to support this in the future I would at least expect that they publish the source for the USB-driver so that the open source communitiy can take care of the problem.

Maybe I didn't explain it clearly enough in my OP:
The late G4 iBooks have a "Apple Internal Trackpad" which is a USB-Device, whereas older models sport an ADB-trackpad. In the late iBooks ADB is no longer present.
On the iScroll2 page (http://iscroll2.sourceforge.net/) you will find the following information:
"Models that have two-finger scrolling already built-in are not supported! These use a completely different, USB-based trackpad, the driver or which is not available as open source. iScroll2 is based on Apple's AppleADBMouse-209.0.10 driver for the ADB-based trackpads found on older models, which is available as part of the publicly released Darwin source code.."
So again: The feature mentioned in the topic is not provided by Apple, nor is the USB driver source code publicly available making it quite unlikely the OSS community will come up with a solution. -
"Save Image As" does not appear on the right click menu of an image I want to save.
Trying to save images as a file to my desktop/laptop. I right click on the image and the menu appears. The entry Save Image As... is not present on the menu. How do I get the menu to show this entry?
I've heard that the problem may have something to do with plug-ins, but I've reinstalled and disabled each of them. It didn't change anything.Does that happen with all images or only on specific web pages?

Can you save the images via Tools > Page Info > Media ?
To be sure:
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Firefox switches immediately to new tab or the immediate next tab if multiple tabs are open, even when the respective feature is disabled, whenever I open a link by -
1. Right-click > open in new tab
2. Ctrl + click a link
Earlier it did not happen like this. It is really very annoying. Re-installation and clean installation of the latest version did not helped.
And this is happening mainly when I am using Facebook. Earlier it never happened so with Facebook.I don't have the divX plug-in and I still have this problem. Why should plug-ins that are not even triggered by the affected pages alter Firefox's behavior. Feels like bad architecture.

Cannot auto size columns in iTunes 10.4. Columns are all mixed up with headings I have never seen. Cannot change by right clicking on columns. Cannot order albums alphabetically by double clicking on heading.

You're off the hook, Apple, and my apologies for stating that you let a dog run loose. You skated by this time, Apple. But I'm watching you.
But again, Putaro's reference to the plugins I had installed over the years turned out to illuminate the problem. I have several plugins in my iTunes plugins folder, pretty much all designed to add more visualizer functionality. I removed all of them, and ALL of the problems I noted in my post went away, with full iTunes functionality restored.
I began adding the plugins back to hopefully single out the culprit. Among the ones I had been using included fielder, G-Force, Timestrech, volcanokit, QuartzComposer, and Jax. I hadn't used any of them in a while - probably at least a verison or more back in iTunes updates, but iTunes continued to work with all of them installed. Currently, only QuartzComposer continues to work in iTunes 10.4. The rest no longer even show up as visualizer opitons, with one exception. Jax does show up, but does not work. AND THE PRESENCE OF JAX IS WHAT KILLED MY ITUNES.
I looked into it and went back to the developer, and it appears that they discontinued developing Jax some time ago - evidently, it was buggy and crash prone. I remember after buying it, having problems with it - having never worked to its touted potential, but I didn't pursue it, and never uninstalled it. Leaving it in there caused all iTunes functionality to cease with the iTunes 10.4 update.
If you've got Jax installed, consider removing it before updating to iTunes 10.4.
My iTunes is now working right as rain, thanks again to Putaro!

Hi can anyone help me out, I'm going insane trying to figure out what to do I need my macbook for work and

Aperture Right Click Not working
I have been using Aperture for awhile and all of a sudden the right click menu takes almost 25 seconds to come up. In that time all you have is the spinning color wheel and in Force Quit Applications Aperture shows up as Not Responding. I tried using Aperture on another user account and it does not have the problem so it has to be something that I did. . .
So I had started to use Time Machine about 1 week ago, I installed than uninstalled a program called DropBox which could of changed the settings. And thats about it except for daily usage. So does anyone know where the strings or whatever are stored for Aperture so that I can get ride of the bad ones?
Or have any other solutions?

HudsoraI did the repair disk permissions, and that did not solve the problem. I was incorrect as in saying that nothing new was installed. I did get a Flip Video recorder which installed some software components when I first plugged it in. So I am guessing that when that happened it changed a component of a common file that both Aperture and the Flip Video Player use. I don't need the component for the Flip because I found a new way to transfer it, but I need to find out which file it changed and how to get it back to the origional file that Aperture can use. . .
So ya if anyone has any clue on how to do that, that would be awesome!

I'm running an nVidia GTX 285 and a GT 120 in my 2008 Mac Pro, with 32GB RAM and a RAID 0 setup.
Lately, on my third screen solely powered by the GT 120, right-clicking has caused a brief flash of white (usually a square the same size as the contextual menu that appears) and then everything freezes. My music still plays, the system logs events, I can SSH in etc.
After about 1 or 3 minutes of waiting I'm forced to pull the plug.
There's no way I'm able to reliably reproduce the issues as sometimes it will go quite a while before having the problem again.
So far any form of right clicking on my other two displays powered by the GTX 285 have not caused a crash.
I recently restored my Mac Pro from a cloned backup - however the backup was a little corrupt, as many files (typically my home folder and files I had created in the root of my Hard Drive) no longer had the correct permissions for me to access them. This also applied to applications I had installed myself via drag 'n drop instead of using a package installer.
After sorting out all of the permissions I could, Disk Utility reports a bunch of errors, but they come up every time and are on the Apple 'safe to ignore' list.
The logs I see in the Console app around the time of the hangs are:
NVDA(OpenGL): Channel exception! status = 0xffff info32 = 0xd = GR: SW Notify Error
kernel[0]: NVDA(Display): Channel timeout!
kernel[0]: NVDA(OpenGL): Channel timeout!
fseventsd[55]: client: 0x809a00 : USER DROPPED EVENTS!

There are known issues with the Nvidia drivers and the GTX 285 with precisely those errors.
Since you seem like a fairly knowledgeable user, you may want to consider filing an official bug report with Apple about this at http://bugreport.apple.com/ (an Apple Developer Connection (ADC) membership is required; you can get the free "ADC Online Membershiop" available here: http://developer.apple.com/products/membership.html). I recently did for a version of OS X I'm not allowed to talk about. .
There's a thread in the eVGA forums about a similar issue (this one happens to be triggered by The Sims 3 game), which results in a similar channel exception error: http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.asp?m=100801338
If you have any 3D games, you might try seeing if you can trigger the issue with those. For me, Call of Duty 2 triggers the exception (all other versions of COD are fine). If I spent more time in Leopard these days, I would file a bug report myself if I were able to trigger one.
Just a note, if you ssh in, you should be able to reboot your system by issuing a "sudo reboot" at the command line. I've been able to do that with my machine though I do need to wait about 3 or 3 and a half minutes before it manages to restart. I figure a restart is always better than a forced shutdown. -
Right click file and send as attachment to email

Create a workflow with the *New Mail Message* action, and that's all you need in it. Save this as a Finder plug-in with a nice name such as "New Email", or any name that makes sense to you.
When you use your right-click, choose the More menu and then the Automator menu inside that, and in there you'll see it in there by whatever name you gave it when you saved it.

Left clicking mouse acts as if I'm right clicking, and comes up with right click menu?
Hi I was wondering whether anyone could help me with this, I've had this problem for a week or so now and it's beginning to get frustrating.
I have a newish iMac, bought in January, and I've been having this problem the last week or so, where when I left click something, it acts as if I am right clicking it and it comes up with the right click menu. I has happened mostly while on the internet (chrome), but also when I'm just on my desktop, but less often.
It only happens every so often, and rights itself after a couple of minutes. What could be causing this, and how do I stop it?
This is my first ever post on here, so I do apologise if I have been vague or I have posted this question in the wrong section, I am also new to macs (well since January).
The mouse I am using is a dell wired mouse, a couple of years old, which I just plugged in without the need of installing software etc.

It sounds light it's the Mouse button from here, to test it...
Go to System Preferences > Mouse, change the Primary button to the Right button... does the Right button ever do that now as the left button?
