Right-click when using pen tool (Illustrator CC 2014)

Am I imagining it or did I used to be able to right-click to stop drawing with the pen tool?
How can I do this in Illustrator CC 2014 as it seems a bit frustrating to have to keep pressing P.
Any suggestions gratefully received

Nothing generally, it just seemed natural to me, sort of like lifting the pen off the paper at the end of a line.

FCP - Quits when using pen tool to enter nodes in the motion tab

Hi all.
I'm encountering a persistent problem with FCP unexpectedly quitting on both version 4.5HD and version 5. The problem occurs when I open a clip from the timeline in the viewer and access the motion tab to adjust the scale of a clip or the position of a clip with the pen tool. I can enter four nodes successfully with no problems, but if I then go back to the clip or open a new one, I can enter maybe three nodes maximum before they cease to register, then the beachball appears for half a second and FCP quits with the "unexpected" message.
This problem occurs across all machines whether I'm running FCP by itself or with other applications running in the background. I am using 10.4.6 on my laptop (iBook G4 with 1GB of RAM and FCP 4.5HD), 10.3.9 and FCP 4.5HD on an eMac, 10.4.6 and FCP Studio 5.0.4 on a G4 Tower ...
Has anyone experienced a similar problem, and does anyone have any thoughts on causes/fixes for it?

When using pen tool or type tool blinking the working window with black background

when i am working with the type tool and pen tool or marquee , that time the photoshop window blinking with the black background that is very irritating in the working time so can u please tell me, so what is the exact problem ? is it a photoshop problem or system?

Sounds like the old Windows 8 video card driver bugs. Update your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website.

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Illustrator cc crashing when using curvature tool

OK, the new curvature tool is very easy and saves time in certain situations, but every time I try to move a point on a curve using the tool Illustrator crashes.
Anyone had a similar experience? I am using a Sony VAIO laptop I7 with 8g RAM and an AMD 7570. Video driver support is nonexistent as the manufacturer drivers do not work and Sony dumped the VAIO line. ANy other ideas?
At least I found an autosave add-on and I'm not losing much work anymore!

Can you please share the dump file of AI CC 2014 when it crashes ?
Steps:
1) When AI displays the crash dialog right after moving the curvature point then please do not dismiss it.
2) Launch Task Manager
3) Right Click on the Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 listed in Task Manager
4) Choose the option "Create dump file"
5) Let the dumping operation get completed and then share the newly created dump file "Illustrator.dmp" using any file sharing online services.

Half second delay using pen tool. Lag between mouse up and when point appears on screen

Regarding the pen tool, using Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 on a PC— There is a half second delay between the moment I click the mouse and when the path point shows up. I've disabled the tablet input service on my computer, which worked, after a restart, but eventually this delay starts happens again. This is immensely inconvenient and I need a permanent solution. If anyone has any sort of answer please tell me. I will try anything.

I am experiencing the same problem. It's very annoying! The issue comes and goes... some days it works like it should, some days it's lagging. I couldnt figure out why so far, neither could the adobe support via chat...

Go update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website, or set the Photoshop GPU mode to Basic.

I've used CS4 previously at school and when you right clicked on the path it came up with this:
I haven't a clue how to get that up on CS6 (on mac) and when you right click it, it just seems to continue adding the path. Any help?

I have just started using Fireworks and am unable to close a
figure made up of curves using pen tool and line segments using pen
/ line tools. How do I plot points on any given shape and close it
so that i can colour the shape . Right now I am not able to give
colour to the shapes I have created.

It seems that in your version of InDesign, the image preview is grayed out while you are editing the picture frame with the pen tool. Not the case with my version of CS5 for macintosh.
But I think this is a bad way to work. If you want the path only to affect text wrap, then edit the text wrap path. This is more versatile than editing the frame because you can have text appear over part of the image visible below text. This of a bird in flight in a light sky. The text wrap can surround the bird so text can appear in the sky. Your method does not permit this.
If you are editing the frame’s path because you also want to crop the image, then you’d be better off doing that in Photoshop by adding either a clipping path in the Paths panel or a mask in the Layers panel. If it’s an Illustrator file then add a clipping mask.
I find InDesign’s pen tool and general path editing to be significantly inferior to Illustrator’s. If I need to have an editable path in InDesign that I would draw much more easily in Illustrator, then I do that and copy the path back. It comes in as a simple unassigned frame, which I can then convert to a picture frame or a text frame and copy/paste the contents into the new frame. That may suit you if the above suggestions are inappropriate.

You are on the wrong forum, there is a differetn forum for elements.
In Photoshop the warp option is available regardless of whether you have used the lasso tool or not.

Can the magic mouse be set to emulate a right click when tapped?

I recently purchased an Apple Magic Mouse.
I also have a MBP with a track pad which I have configured to do a right click when I tap it.
The small problem I have is that the AMM needs to be pressed similar to the way the track pad used to before I configured the tap-to-click.
Can this be done for the magic mouse.

Keep in mind, the mouse should be used with the Apple logo at the base of the hand and should provide the "click" sensation when you tap the other side with finger tips.
