Right clicking in flash player now brings up pop up menu.

Previously I was able to right click within the flash player while playing a video game, which enabled certain game commands.  Now suddenly that functionality has gone away and the settings menu continues to come up every time I try it.  The Flash Player is 10.2.152.26. It's a 64 bit computer, brand new.  Using Explorer 8.   Any thoughts?

I'm having the same problem and it's very annoying when you're trying to play a game where you have to right click to change something.
I've read some old posts on this topic and have tried UNenabling the update but this makes no difference. Is there a solution?
Thanks.

    When I try to play certain games on pogo, I get this: Oops, something is not right...
    Flash Plug-In Warning
    Explanation:
    You do not have the Flash player installed on your browser.
    How to Fix the Problem:
    This game requires the Flash plug-in.
    Download the latest Flash player now.
    So I download latest still get error message

    It is best to go to the source, Adobe, to get their software and updates. Sometimes malware can infect sites with messages that appear legitimate, but will, instead, install malware/virus/trojan on your system. Read the following carefully to install and/or update Adobe Flash.
    There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash; an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only and a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox. On a Windows system, you should always update both individually. '''''You do not have Adobe Flash (aka "Shockwave Flash" in Add-ons > Plugins) installed.'''''
    #'''Using Firefox''', go to the following direct download link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
    #When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
    #Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
    #*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
    #*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
    #Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
    #Direct link ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''': http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

  • Right Click on Flash

    Hello-
    If I right click over flash on a web page I get a menu that is in Chinese, while everything else in my system and my usage of the machine is in English. Is there a fix for this? I've heard of this on windows machines and the RavMonE virus, but I cannot find anything about it for the mac.
    Many thanks-

    HI,
    To put your mind at ease, there are no Mac viruses in the wild. The RavMonE file is .exe file which cannot be read or opened on a Mac unless you are running a Windows partition.
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    And make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.
    Now try to right click Flash content... if you still see the Chinese dialog...
    Try clearing your font cache.
    Shut down your Mac.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator. During startup in Mac OS X v10.4.x or later, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login window, even if normally you log in automatically. Boot time is a minute or two longer than a normal boot.
    After your Mac boots to the Desktop restart the computer normally, without holding any keys during startup.
    What this process does... It moves to the Trash all font caches normally stored in /Library/Caches/
    Restart your Mac and see if that makes a difference.

  • My iMac mouse right click does not work now

    Hi all,
    My iMac mouse right click does not work now.  It was fine a couple of days ago.
    Right click is definitely enabled, I have checked it several times.
    A Google search revealed that in Firefox it could be that I'm not using the latest version of Firebug.  I have auto updates on and Firebug is the latest version 1.11.3
    I use right click for correcting spell checked words, instead of a suggested correct spelling I get the 'open in a new tab' menu.
    In Firefox when I right click to open in a new tab I get the menu but it does nothing.
    It is driving me mad
    Any help will be greatly appreciated,
    Thank you
    P.S. thought it was suddenly working when I did the spell check in this post but it was the left click doign it....

    I don't use Firefox so I can't test it, but it might be something to do with a preference setting. Have a look at this link (ignore all the instructions), just look at the image of the preferences, there appears to be a setting in Javascript preferences relating to contextual menus. Check to see what your settings are:

  • Right click on flash movie / SWF file

    Why we get flash default menu when i right click on a flash
    movie?.
    When i enable video bookmark (videomark). user is suppose to
    right click on flash movie and select videomark.
    is the flash default menu is customizable?. Please let me
    know.

    Here is a sample script to customize the right-click menu.
    Put it in frame 1 of your movie.
    var myContextMenu = new ContextMenu();
    myContextMenu.hideBuiltInItems();
    var thisTitle:ContextMenuItem = new ContextMenuItem("My
    prison movie", bla);
    var thisCredit:ContextMenuItem = new ContextMenuItem("created
    by Paris Hilton", bla, separatorBefore=true);
    var thisCopyright:ContextMenuItem = new
    ContextMenuItem("© My Intelligence Is Ltd.", bla);
    myContextMenu.customItems.push(thisTitle);
    myContextMenu.customItems.push(thisCredit);
    myContextMenu.customItems.push(thisCopyright);
    function bla() {
    //insert your function here
    this.menu = myContextMenu;
    The function can be anything: getURL, load a movie clip, turn
    sound on/off, etc. You can add as many ContextMenuItems as you
    want. Each one can have a separate function assigned. It seems that
    some sort of function is required by the class, so I use an empty
    function like in this example if I want nothing to happen when the
    user clicks the menu item.

    cannot open itunes  errorn2096 right clicked on quicktime player went to properties no compatibly tab

    You're on the right track, because this one is usually (at the moment) a compatibility problem. But if you're getting this when launching iTunes, instead try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

  • Can't Left Click in Flash Player Settings Panel - HELP PLEASE

    Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this. Believe me it is a fraction of the time I have wasted trying to resolve this issue.
    Basic problem is:
    I am trying to stream to Ustream but since downloading AFP11 for my Windows PC when I open the Flash Player Settings panel i can't left click on anything. It is set to deny but I can't click allow, or close or any of the icons.
    Right click does work.
    I have followed countless instructions in other forums from other posts that have encountered the problem on Mac and older versions of AFP but as yet none of the solutions have proven succesul.
    I have tried all of the following but nothing has resolved the problem.
    1. Uninstall and reinstall Adobe Flash Player (although this is impossible using Google Chrome) and restart computer.
    2. Unistall flash and install older version. (made no difference on Google Chrome and on IE8 had no flash whatsoever).
    5. Uninstall older AFP and reinstall AFP11.
    4. Uninstall Google Chrome and restart computer.
    5. Uninstall QuickTime (I got this off http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/flash-player-not-working-properly-please-help-1 61552.html) and restart computer
    6. Last resort use keyboard shortcuts such as tab, enter and ctrl+arrows. This either didn't highlight the panel at all or if it did I still couln't select allow, or close the panel itself so was no help either.
    So now I'm back to square one.
    Now here's a really bizarre thing... I am using a shared laptop computer and if I use my colleagues profile where she hasn't updated her AFP to Adobe Flash Player 11 the settings panel is responding just fine. IT'S THE SAME PC!
    I know I am alone with this problem but someone out there has an answer. If you can help please let me know how to fix this problem where I can't left click in the Adobe Flash Player settings panel.and I will be eternily grateful.
    many thanks
    nik

    OK the amount I hate myself right now is more than a fat guy's self loathing for raiding the fridge at 2am for Pizza but less than an armed robber who's accidentally shot a pregnant woman in the stomach during a shootout. but not much less.
    So after I had miraculously got the Flash Player Setting Panel to work again, (after deleting QuickTime and leaving the window open for abut an hour it just started working again) I then got enticed into downloading the ustream producer software.
    While downloading it informed me that it would only work with QuickTime.
    Stupidly and Optimistically hoping it would remove the need to use flash player altogether I downloaded and installed both.
    I then discovered to my horror that Ustream producer is not a patch on Vidbalster and that it was not capable of delivering the same level of broadcast.
    I then opened the flash player settings panel on ustream and... the problem has returned!
    This means I am 99% sure that QuickTime IS the cause of the problem so I have uninstalled QT off the PC. I have also uninstalled Ustream Producer.
    The thing is though, now no matter how many times I restart, or uninstall and reinstall Adobe, or Google Chrome, I am once again UNABLE TO LEFT CLICK IN THE FLASH PLAYER SETTINGS PANEL. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
    What did I do? I fixed it and  f***ing broke it again!
    Now it properly will not come back to life! the problem is not solved and i urgently need help.
    Why does Adobe Flash Player Settings Panel and Apple QuickTime hate each other so much that they've got to ruin my life?
    Help forum PLEASE!
    Regards,
    nik

  • I keep getting "Attention! Your current version of Adobe Flash player is outdated! Your computer is vulnerable to malware now. Update your Adobe Flash player now" but I already have an updated version of adobe

    It pops up randomly and won't let me click out of it. I'm certain it's malware or something like that, but I can't seem to stop it from happening. Below is a page that I'm directed to each time. I think all this started from me clicking on someone's tumblr page.
    Here's another image from a different tumblr page. I'm afraid to download it because I don't know what it will do.

    You should ignore it.
    You should updeate only either from System > Flash Player > Check Now
    or direct from Adobe site.
         Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Chrome has built in Flash Player. This is bogus warning.

  • By Pass Admin Rights when installing Flash Player 9

    We currently incoporate Flash Player 9 with our proprietary
    application so our clients users may utilize it efficiently. The
    issue is now we are in the process of rolling the application to
    user's across the country and a good percentage of the do not have
    Flash Player 9 installed on their machine. The user's are behind a
    very strict, and enforced network with little to no priviledges. Is
    there a setting or a way that I can inform their network security
    team, to allow them this capability to install it on their own. I
    do not want to lower their security policy or elavate their rights,
    but definetly want the user to download and install Flash Player
    ONLY. Please any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    I am running OS X, and I just installed flash player 9. I am
    not able to look at any flash sites anymore. I have been
    installing, reinstalling, uninstalling and nothing seems to work. I
    am not very computer saavy, but i can normally figure these thing
    out. Adobe is no help at all. I feel as though I should reinstall
    everything over again on my mac. Please let me know if it is
    possible to fix this bug.
    Have you had any response Bill? Is there a mac help forum for
    this?

  • Right Clicking on Flash Crashes Safari

    Whenever I right click on any Adobe Flash Player content on any site, Safari will crash for reasons I do not know of. Is there anyway to somehow reinstall Safari or maybe Flash, or better yet, is it possible to fix this problem with a simpler method? Thanks.

    HI,
    Try uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh copy of Flash Player.
    Uninstall Flash
    Install Flash
    Repair disk permissions.
    Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and *restart your Mac.*
    Try emptying the cache and resetting Safari also.
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Make sure you are running Safari in 32-bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in the Applications folder, then click: Get Info In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle next to General so it faces down. Select 32 bit mode. Quit Safari then relaunch.

  • Capturing right clicks in flash panels

    Is there a possibility to capture a right click in a Photoshop flash panel?
    When running a SWF in a browser you can right click to display a context menu, which can be populated with own items. But when running a flash panel in Photoshop and you right click somewhere no context menu is displayed. If you right click on a flex list or tree control it selects an item as if it you had left clicked.
    I know that there is MouseEvent.RIGHT_CLICK constant, but appearently it only works in AIR applications. But I read that flash panels run in the AIR player engine. The problems is that Flex Builder does not compile the swf if I use MouseEvent.RIGHT_CLICK with addEventListener.
    Is there any other possibility?

    Hi Harald,
    You could try implementing a ContextMenu: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/ui/ContextMenu.ht ml

  • No rights to install Flash Player!

    When I try to install Flash Player on my personal computer, I get an error message that I have no right to install it on this computer. But this is MY computer, never has been to anybody else and never will be. Why did I get this message and why Flash Player decides for the user if he had or hadn't a right to install it. This is soooo stupid and useless. If I was a hacker or something, I wouldn't be writing you this question. If I am not, why prevent me to install this software?
    So useless and so stupid!!!
    Help please!

    Well, "administrator rights" is a Windows requirement.
    Thry this:
    Download this file: Take Ownership.zip
    Unzip it.
    Double click it.
    Click Yes, and OK.
    Then, open Windows Explorer to your Computer.
    Right click the C drive and select "Take Ownership".
    It'll apply owner permissions for your account to the entire contents of the drive. It'll take a while, but when it finishes, you'll have full access to read & write any file on the drive.

    I have just upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7 and am running Acrobat 9 Pro.  On a daily basis I get a batch of pdf files that I need to print.  In XP I would have right clicked and chosen Print, however this option is not available now I am on Windows 7.  It doesn't matter how many files I choose, even just picking one pdf the print option is not available.
    Any ideas?  Thanks very much

    You are can  use batch processing to print a folder worth of files if you like.
