Right mouse button and Windows Vista - 17'' MBP is ignored?

I am curious why Apple released a trackpad driver update, which enables right button in Windows (BootCamp), but for all models EXCEPT my 17'' Mac Book Pro?

Since it is 2008 year update, it seems no more updates will be released. Why Apple ignores the users of 17'' MBP unibody?

for starters, the 17" unibody came out AFTER the update, so it should already have the software update.
second, right click has to be turned on via the Boot Camp utility in Vista.
& third, you should be posting in the unibody forum.

I can't remove Yandex Elements from the Open menu list with right mouse button and Tools menu although I removed Yandex. I think it slows down Firefox.

I downloaded Freeyoutube downloader from internet and somehow got yandex installed in my computer with toolbars on firefox.Despite I removed Yandex from my computer Yandex elements still stays in open menu when right mouse button clicked and in the Tools menu. I tried to uninstall Firefox, remove yandex registry from windows registry and restart computer, and then reinstall firefox, Yandex elements still hangs there. Firefox is now running very slow compared to the running before Yandex.

Right Mouse Button Under Windows?

without the use of an external mouse? Is it possible? Also, is there a 2 button (or anyother) scrolling under windows? Too bad Apple did not build the MBP with a 2 button mouse. If so, it would be an almost PERFECT machine for me. (btw, a week 6 machine, with no bugs)

www.onmac.net solved many of these issues. crtl-shift-F10 will give you a right. There is a little utility pointed to by the onmac.net drivers page that will give you a right click just like on OSX using the crtl-click method.

There is another keyboard utility that you can download from Miscrosoft for remapping the keyboard. I used it to remap my caps lock key to the delete key. It comes as part of a packages of utilities. The info on how to use this thing starts here. Just click on the keyboard link. The utility is called remapkey.exe and there is some discussion on how to use it either in the onmac wiki pages or in their boards. Once you install it and run it its self explanatory

Ipod nano first generation and windows vista

I finally got everything to work right with Itunes and Windows Vista except one minor problem.
On my ipod, the blue "dot" does not show up when a podcast is new, so in a long lists of podcasts, I can't tell which ones I already listened to.
Is there a way to fix this?

The right click menu pops up after I push the right mouse button, instead of when I release it.

I am using an extension All-In-One Gestures. It works on my other installation of Firefox 4 - particularly, the right-click menu pops up if I click right mouse button and then release it so I can perform gesture or turn the wheel instead of getting a right click menu.
But on this installation (basically the same addons and OS), the right-click menu pops up on pushing down the right mouse button so the right-button+wheel gestures do not work, and the menu stays there while I am performing the gesture which is rather annoying.
So I though maybe there is some obscure configuration option to toggle to make right-click menu pop up after the button release? Or is this entirely the extension's fault? Note that it does work as expected on other installation...

You have to enable in Firefox
-> Options -> Content -> Activate JavaScript (yes) -> More
-> Allow scripts the following actions
-> Inactivate or replace context menu (yes)
in order to allow All-in-one-Gesture to block the immediate appearance of the context menu.
If you forbid Firefox JavaScript and/or the manipulation of the context menu by use of JavaScript, All-in-one-Gesture cannot work properly.

[SOLVED] Thunar 1.6 doesn't drag-and-drop with the right mouse button

Hallo all.
It might be something I've done (though I did delete my ~/.config/Thunar directory before upgrading), but Thunar doesn't let me drag-and-drop with the right mouse button, thus stopping me from copying something instead of moving it, etc. Has anyone else had that too?

Microsoft Windows, Nautilus, the Haiku Tracker, and probably many other file managers have a feature where, when you right-click or middle-click and drag an icon to a new location, a pop-up menu appears and asks what you'd like to do (Move, Copy, Link). I thought I used to use this feature in Thunar too but it seems to have stopped working in recent versions. Has anyone else had any experience with it?

When using the right mouse button in Yahoo mail inbox (Firefox 8.0.1, Win 7, Yahoo Mail Plus) the Firefox navigation window (Back, Forward etc...) is on top of the Yahoo email menu (Open, Print, Reply etc...). This happens in Firefox safe mode as well.

This also happened in Windows XP which I was using until recently.
The Yahoo mail menu is there but the Firefox menu is on top of it. I tried Firefox safe mode with everything disabled and the problem still happened. I tried Yahoo mail in IE 9 and the right mouse button works correctly.

Hi all, I was just looking to setup WinXP on my machine and wanted to know how my macbook pro laptop mouse would deal with the right mouse click on windows? If I dont have an external mouse plugged into the laptop is there no right mouse click available?

Is Magic Mouse compatible with PC and Windows Vista

Hello to everyone, I'm a new member of this forum, I hope someone will help me, please.
I'm taking a look at the latest beautiful Apple's product and I felt in love with Magic Mouse, I'd like to have it for ma PC (not a Mac) with OS Vista.
Is there anyboby who knows if this mouse is compatible with a Pc and Windows Vista OS?
Actually I don't have bluetooth thecnology on my pc but if Magic Mouse were compatible I'd buy an usb adaptor.

I asked a similar question a few hours back and no answers yet. I think nobody knows since nobody has had the chance to test them. If previous releases are any indication, you'll probably get basic functionality because it is bluetooth, but for the advanced features or setting options you'll have to wait for a Windows driver, which can sometimes take a few months or more.

Everything worked great so I decided to try Xgl. I put Shadowhand repo in my pacman.conf than I ran
pacman -Syu
and than
pacman -S xgl-cvs compiz-cvs mesa-cvs cairo-cvs
first I lost my right mouse button menu and than background. I recovered bacground by running
xfdesktop in terminal. How do I get my right mouse button working? This is when I run startxfce4 as root. When I try as other user everything work like before. Thanks for help.

it sounds like one of the dot files that xfce4 stores it's config files in is corrupt. besides that, you shoulden't run as root anyway

Jbuttons and right mouse button question

I want to make a jbutton respond to the right mouse button as well as the left. It seems that the action listener cannot do this (maybe it can which is why im posting here!).
So I used a mouse listener, but, that isn't working out as well as I'd like it too. I happen to have to click the button twice with my right mouse button before it'll respond to events. So is there a way to make a jbutton respond properly to a right mouse button click?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but you can use MouseEvent's getButton() function.
For example

How can I disable right/left mouse buttons and scroll wheel in PDF?

I want the user to have to click on "forward" and "back" buttons that I've created in the PDF, in order to move around in it. Is there any way to disable the mouse buttons and scroll wheel from allowing users to go back and forth?
Also, a separate question: I want the user to click on embedded images and receive either a pop-up comment, or be re-directed to another page in the PDF. Is there any way to set this up?

You can achieve what you want in Question 1, just not via scripting. You would need to create a plug-in in C/C++ that would be installed on the client machine. Other than that option, try67 is correct - there is no way to achieve this from the document-level.
