Right role/privileges for KVM Access only in UCS

Hi
I am making some locally Authenticated Users for some people at work.
They only need to access KVM and do things there.
What role/privileges do I need to set on the user?

Thank you for your answer.
I have looked into the thread, and was thinking about method #4.
I have created a user under Locally Authenticated Users and if I set the role Operations I get this message after pressing launch under KVM launch manager.
If I type the same username and password, I get login failed.
If I add the role Server-profile to the user, I can login with no issue. But then I am afraid that I give to much privileges to the user.
I'm using a Management IP Pool, so I don't know if the other methods works better. I think it is difficult to know the IP address, and maybe the adress can change.
The best is, when I add a server to UCS, the user can find the server KVM by himself, and I don't need to find the IP address and give it to him.
Maybe I am way off here, so please help me:)

I do not need another wireless network but want to use the airport express for printer access only.  Can this be done and how?

You can configure the AirPort Expess to "Join a wireless network" and enable the Ethernet port so that Ethernet devices will be able to connect.
In order to print from the iOS devices, you will need to have an application like Printopia installed on your Mac. The Mac must be active when you want to print.
More details here: Printopia - AirPrint to Any Printer - Print from iPad - Print from iPhone ...
There is a free trial available for Printopia, so make sure that it will work before you buy the AirPort Express.

  • Hiding cloud services for VPN access only

I have a single Azure cloud service that is accessible externally. I would like to restrict access to it only from inside of my organization. I have setup a virtual network between azure and my organization and configured my cloud service to use that virtual
network. The only problem now is how do I restrict an external access to my services. This seems that it should be easy to do but I cannot straightforward solution. Am I missing something here?
    Thank You!

    Hi,
Based on your description, it seems that you want to use virtual network to restrict an external access to your service, please try to create a new thread in Windows Azure Network forum, I think you will get more help at that forum.

  • WLC ACL For Internet Access Only

I've implemented  Cicso ISE 3495's with the advanced subscription license.  I've built my policy sets, and authorization profiles.  It all works great!  Here's the issue that I'm having.  I have internal employees who bring in their own devices (BYOD).  I want to allow them onto the secured SSID that I've created, but only want to give them access to the intra/internet.  I've created an ACL (EmpInternetOnly) on the WLC.  Here are my rules:
I can get to the intranet, with no issue (ACL lines 1-4).  I can't get to the internet whatsoever.  I see everything falling down to the deny statement.  When I remove the deny statement (ACL line 14), and put a permit all, then the internet works with no issue.  Am I missing something here?  I've researched this topic on several message boards, but can't find an answer.  I've tried to run the acl debug, on the controller, but do not see any output when I run it.  It might be because I don't understand the proper format of how to set it up.  Any and all replies would be much appreciated!  Thanks!

  • Using 2nd Built-In Ethernet port for internet access?

    Hello,
I have a Quad-G5 running 10.4.8. In its current configuration, all its network communications, including web access, go over the active ethernet port (Built-in 1).
Does anyone know how I could use the second built-in port for internet access only? I'd like to route local traffic over the first port, but go "out" over the second.
The machine is on a corporate network, and proxy access is slowwww. I have the ability to use a direct connect to the internet, but still need to be connected locally. Any thoughts? Many thanks . . . JD

Easy. Go to System Preferences > Network > Network Port Configurations and drag the port connected to the internet to the top, so that it has priority over the port connected to your LAN. This prevents DNS time-out when loading a website, but still allows LAN traffic over the other port because that traffic is most likely going to use ARP rather than DNS. For good measure, you can add your company's domain (such as "my_company.lan") to System Preferences > Network > Internal_Ethernet > TCP/IP > Search Domains.

  • Vrf for Internet Access

    Hello,
i'd like to configure a dedicated vrf for Internet access only. On my CE router i configured three vrf (Internet, red and blue) in the vrf internet i import the route target from blue and red, and the vrf blue and red i import only the default route. Everything is working fine, only one thing bothers me, i can ping from the vrf red destinations in the vrf blue and vice versa. How can i prevent this routing?
    thanks in advanced.
    Alex
here the config of my router.
    ip prefix-list internet seq 5 permit 0.0.0.0/0
    route-map internet permit 10
    match ip address prefix-list internet
    set extcommunity rt 100:200
    ip vrf internet
    rd 100:100
    route-target both 100:100
    route-target import 100:110
    route-tarbet import 100:120
    export map internet
    ip vrf red
    rd 100:110
    route-target both 100:110
    route-target import 100:200
    ip vrf blue
    rd 100:120
    route-target both 100:120
    route-target import 100:200

    Hi Alex,
Given the FW is the next hop for the default route, the traffic from one vrf to the other goes through the FW and get routed back to the CE and then to the respective vrf router. You could add the rules on the FW to prevent
    traffic being routed between FW.

  • Read Only privileges for Access Server and Identity Server - OAM 10g

    Hi,
I am working on Oracle Access Manager 10g version 10.1.4.
I use an administrative account that is a member of the 'COREid Administrators' group to log into the access console and identity console of OAM.
Since this is the administrative account, it has the rights to modify and update all access/identity entities.
How can I set up an account that has "view only" privileges over all access and identity objects in OAM?
I need to log into the access and identity consoles of OAM and view all policy domains/policies/access system configuration/user manager config/group manager config etc bt not be able to modify any of them.
Is there a way to setup such an account in OAM?
    Regards,
    Abhishek.

    Hi Abhishek,
It is possible to define different levels of administrator, but it is not possible to give an admin read access (to objects in the consoles) without also giving modify access. I do not believe that there is a straightforward way to meet this requirement - for the Access System you could use the Policy Manager API and write your own interface (which does not have the ability to modify) but obviously this would be some development effort.
    Regards,
    Colin

  • I have a new PC and I am getting the message "The iTunes Library File cannot be saved.  You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."  I am the only one using this PC and I have Windows 7 Pro and have an administrator account.  Help

Can anyone help me with this problem.  ITunes message," The iTunes library file cannot be saved.  You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."   I have administrator account and transferred files from old PC.  I downloaded new iTunes program on new PC.  I synced my iPhone to new PC, no problem.  I deleted old account after indicating shared files to new admin account.  Can anyone help?

A belated reply, as the problems itunes has have discouraged me from using it much. If you uncheck the "read only" box, it doesn't stay that way! Next time you use it, the box comes up checked.
I'm still having that problem, even when I open iTunes as administrator.
I've yet to see the answer to this problem. I use itunes mostly to download audiobooks, and I'm ready to download more, and want to save them!

  • The itunes library file cannot be saved. you do not have access privileges for this operation

Help, I just cant get rid of this error message:
The itunes library file cannot be saved. you do not have enough access privileges for this operation.

The location of the iTunes Library file may be read-only or owned by a different user.
    Default locations:
    XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<login>\My Documents\My Music\iTunes
    Vista: C:\Users\<login>\Music\iTunes
    Windows 7: C:\Users\My Music\itunes
Right click the iTunes folder and choose Properties
Look at the Attributes and see if Read-Only is checked.
Uncheck it and click OK, at the apply to all subfolders and files prompt, make sure all subfolders and files is selected and click OK.
If your iTunes library saves now you are done.
If it does not you will need to try on each directory above the iTunes directory.
Of course if you are not using the default locations you'll have to alter the path to the one you find in iTunes Edit->Preferences, Advanced tab.

  • HELP! trying to transfer purchases from my iPad but keep getting: "you do not have enough access privileges for this operation" message

I recently had a hard drive crash and lost almost everything except for what I managed to save on Carbonite. When I got the new hard drive, I updated to Lion and began the laborious process of restoring my files. I think it is up to 40% done.
Anyway, I went to try to transfer my purchases from my iPad2 (4.3.3) and received the message:  "You do not have enough access privileges for this operation" followed by: "Attempting to copy to Hard drive failed. You do not have enough access priviledges for this operation."
So, I did a search on the problem and have found similar complaints and some reasonable suggestions, which I attempted without success. So far I have:
    1) Rebooted
    2) Changed all the Permissions on the iPhoto Library and iTunes folders to Read & Write.
    3) Used Disk Utility to Verify & Repair permissions.
    Nothing is working.
    HELP!

Had the same thing happen to me a few weeks back when I switched computers and migrated.  Here's what worked on my iMac, so maybe it'll work on your iPad, too.  Go to User(your home folder)/Music.  Select/highlight your "Music" folder.  Then do Command-I ("Get Info" from the File menu), click on the padlock icon in the lower right of the new window.  Enter your user password.  Click on your username just above the now-open padlock.  Select "Read & Write" if it's on "Read Only," "Write Only," or "No Access."  Now having your user account with "Read & Write" privileges (it may have been this way already; still do this next step), click on the gear on the bottom-center of that window.  Click on "Apply to all enclosed items."  When the pop-up says "Are you sure?" (or the equivalent), say "yes."  This will grant access privileges to your user account for all the music files inside your music folder--all your iTunes stuff included).  Then you should be good to go.

  • How do i resolve my itunes from saying " The itunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation."

Everytime i click to go to my itunes, the message "The Itunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." pops up. I have tried my best to fix it by adding another account to my computer and setting that one as the administator and mine as the regular user. When i did that the itunes worked on both, but when i changed my account back to administator and the other account to the regular user my account didnt work but the other one did. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall itunes. This message popped up when i tried to update the itunes to the newest one. And still it wont go away. Can someone help me please. Thanks!

  • Help! "The iTunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access privileges for this application"

I am getting the following error when trying to open iTunes: "The iTunes application could not be opened. You do not have enough access privileges for this application." I am logged in with the admin (and only) user account on my laptop, so I'm confused as to why this would start happening all of the sudden.
I poked around in the control panel trying to find random options that would fix it, but nothing has. I'm running Windows 7.
    Thanks for any help!
