Right speakers not work

I just bought a Creative Audigy SE soundcard and Philips 5: speakers. I've installed the drivers from the CD.
I have a problem, I can only hear music from my Left speakers. That is only from my Front-Left, Centre and Surround-Left speakers.
I've tried changing the EAX setting but this doesn't solve my problem.
I can only here a small hissy noise from the other speakers which are not "working". (Front-right and Surround-right)
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to get audio from the right side and the left?
I repeat, I have viewed the sticky thread, it doesn't solve my problem.

You should try to reset XFi Hardware by pressing the "Standard" Button in Modus Console.
I had a similar problem with XFi, strange thing is that it stayed even after rebooting system. Only resetting XFi like described above worked for me.
Please post, if this tip solve your problem too.
Rgds.

internal speakers not working after upgrading to Maverics

There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
    1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
    2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
    3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
    4. If you've installed a software equalizer called "Boom" or anything similar, update or delete it and restart.
    5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
    6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select the Output tab. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them. Move the Volume sliders all the way to the right.
    7. If a red light is coming from the audio-out port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
    8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
    9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
    10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
    11. Reset the NVRAM.
    12. Reset the SMC.
    13. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
    14. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.

If you see a red light in the audio output port, then the internal switch is stuck.  Insert the earphone plug a few times and see if you can trip the switch.  If that fails, insert a cocktail stirrer and the like and jiggle it around inside.  If that fails, take it to an Apple store and have the technicians at the genius bar do it for you.
    Ciao.

  • Built-in speakers not working

    Please help;
Built-in speakers not working after using audio port to run remote speakers.
I tried using the FAQ in iTunes to solve problem. Built-in speakers will not play sound.
Under system prefs., sound, the device shows; Digital Out under port; Built-in Output
    Under settings for the selected device;
The selected device has no outpt controls.
When I adjust volume the sound level meter shows level on high but cancelled out (circle w/ slash).
I notice RED LIGHT from inside sound port. Sound works when headphone are plugged in but not external speakers.
    thank you for any advise.

  • TS1574 optic digital port can't be shut off and the sound of speakers not working! what to do?

optic digital port can't be shut off and the sound of speakers not working! what to do?
this happened after taking out the head-phones. Now even after pressing CMD+ALT+P+R when booting - the sound of booting appeares BUT after the desktop is ready the sound doesn't work and sound buttons show the sign "circle with crossed line"

If there is a red light visible in the audio output port, the switch id stuck.  Insert the earphone jack a few times.  If that fails to trip the switch, try a toothpick or similar device and jiggle it inside the port.  If that fails, try a shot or two of compressed air.  If still no success, go to a repair facility.
    Ciao.

  • Command-Left/Right Arrow not working

Very strange behavior I'm seeing today.
My left/right arrow keys work. Even Option-Left/Right works correctly.
But, Command-Left-Right do not work. No movement at all.
    Curiously, Shift-Command-Left/Right work fine.
I've not changed any keyboard shortcuts recently. I've checked the keyboard shortcuts that are currently defined. Nothing that would indicate a problem, but clearly there is.

Just found a solution that worked for me here. Basically, it seems to be a bug with the Dock. If you type "killall Dock" (the command is case-sensitive) into the command line in Terminal, it restarts the Dock. After that the arrows seem to work normally again.

  • Mouse right button not working

Hai i am shebeer.. i updated my mac os x 10.4.7 to 10.4.11 after updation my right button not working . please help me to solve this problem...

So far we're just trying to narrow the problem down, so it looks like it's not likely an OS problem, not impossible but not too awful likely.
Do you have another Mouse to try?
Can you try this Mouse on another Computer?
In System Preferences>Mouse & Keyboard, you might try changing the Primary Button to the Right one to see if the Right Button works as a
Left button, +but the problem+ with that is that I really don't know what you'd do *if you have no Button at all* then!

If you have tried all of the above then make an appointment at the local genius bar.

  • Tablet Z Right speaker not working

I have a Sony "Tablet Z" SGP 311, after I had the screen replaced it came back with one of the speakers not working, (it is possible that the fault started at the same time as the screen got broken). I took it back to the same company, they checked the speakers & the speaker ribbon cable, both of which are not faulty, unfortunately they don't have the ability to check beyond what they have checked already, what would be the most probable cause of my fault. The system was running Android 4.4 when the fault was first noticed, but is now running 5.01

Hi @don320 I suggest you to first run a backup of the device information like this: http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253 Then try performing a system repair using PC Companion: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiatabletz/tools/pc-companion/ I hope can be useful. I'm at disposal for any question. Best Regards,

  • Speakers not working right

I have a SB Live 24 card. When I test my speakers though Creative diagnostics, I will get varied results. At times only the right speaker will work, sometimes only the left. Sometimes both. I switched speakers with a different computer and end up with the same problem. The speakers worked well on the other computer. I cleaned the dust off the soundboard, took it out and put the soundboard back in. It worked briefly on both speakers, then switched to left speaker only. I have windows XP and a dell system. Dell packages these systems to make it more difficult to get the software disk for the specific hardware. I did also download the most current driver for the system. Is it possible that the soundboard is bad. Thanks for any information. I haven't tried the soundboard on the other computer, but I'm not sure I would be accessing the correct information to load it.

Well, I figured out how to stop my AirTunes from dropping out on my AirPort Express if and only if iTunes is using the "multiple speakers" option.
The fix: I changed my wireless network's channel from 11 to 1 in AirPort Admin Utility.
    No more dropouts.
Go figure. After all, one would never guess any channel 11 interference that is present wouldn't also disrupt the transmission when my AirPort Express is selected all by itself in the iTunes popup window. But no. The disruption on channel 11 occurs only when I switch to "multiple speakers" and the "computer" speakers have been enabled.
This happens even when I am using my iMac's internal speaker and not my SoundSticks, so I don't think the SoundSticks are creating the interference on channel 11.
I should add to the previous post that the channel 11 sound does occasionally "drop back in," very briefly, after it has first dropped out.
There are no dropouts at all on channel 1 for me. The moral of the story: if you have dropouts, try changing AirPort channels even if the dropouts only appear in one usage mode and not in other modes.
