Right-to-left (Hebrew) typing BUG

This one is really annoying!
When you delete the last letter of any word the space is deleted as well!
To be clearer, I will demonstrate with an example.
Sentence with an error to delete:
"Pleased fix this"
Desired result of deleting the extra letter:
"Please fix this"
Buggy iOS 4 result:
"Pleasefix this"

2. The wife/gf/escort hasn't been "kind" to you in some time or is it just a reading comprehension problem?
Neither. (And I'd be surprised if you ever had a "wife/gf/escort").
"Please fix this" (which your stated 3 times!) was not taken out of context. Saying it "does not address anyone" is puro-bs. You clearly were making demands to readers of forum, who you clearly presumed to be Apple.
You should seriously consider getting fresh air/a drink/laid, because you are being an aggressively defensive ***** for no reason.
Consider elevating your vocabulary, language skills and maturity level above that of a 12-year-old.

  • PDF Maker problem in outlook using right to left text

    Hello,
I am using the PDF Maker application in outlook (acrobat 7.0.5 and outlook 2002)  which allows the user to convert an email message (or folder with messages)  in the outlook to a PDF document.
    My question is :
When the document contains languages from right to left (Hebrew), the converting PDF Maker process changes the letters order in the "from", "to" and the "subject" fields to be from left to right . The text in the message itself is in the right direction (right to left).
How can I overcome this issue ?
    Thanks
    Naomi

My acrobat version 7.0.5 does support ME languages

  • I have an iPad 2 with iworks, in pages and keynote I noticed it cuts the first letter on the right when I open an imported doc or ppt or even paste text from an email. I type in Hebrew (right to left language).

How to solve?pages and keynote cut the first letter when opening an imported file from doc or ppt or even when pasting text to a new pages document.
I write in Hebrew, which is a right to left language.
Never got a warning that this apps do not work In my language. They are available in my country's AppStore and that was the reason I bought the iPad.
    Thank you,
    Diego

All iWork apps, both for iOS and OS X, have always had bugs that make them unsuitable for RTL scripts for most purposes.  The only solution is to use something else.

  • Hi, does anyone know if the brand new Microsoft Word for iPad works with right-to-left languages, such as Hebrew and Arabic? Thanks

Hi, just got the Microsoft Word app on my iPad mini, great app in my opinion- just would like to know if anyone has a way to switch into right to left orientation just like Pages now has.
So far the only way I could get this to work was by emailing myself a Hebrew document, erasing it all, and writing the new document in its place, which actually really worked, with true formatting and all. Thing is, I wouldn't sign myself up for 10 bucks a month for a half-baked workaround which Pages does perfectly. Otherwise, Word is awesome.
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

I wonder if that means that the iPad Word is a port of the Windows Word with some formqtting options disabled. Just wondering.
I think iPad Word is closer to Mac Word than Win Word.  Mac Word, for 13 years now, has been unable to create connected Arabic text, except on a Win Word doc with some Arabic already there.   I've never seen an explanation for this, but suspect it has something to do with Windows ability to embed fonts in such docs.  In any case, this work around still has enough bugs that I don't think it has ever been widely used.

    Hi there
Accualy I have 2 problems with Pages
1- How can I get more Arabic Fonts with More Decorated style

           - how to change the alignment from left to right (Ctrl + Shift in MO Word) to do the hall text from right to left not only the paragraph Icon
I think this will afect the other application Im using If some one help me with it.

"Many" is an exageration, you can count R to L languages on one hand.
Mostly they are used in countries which try not to pay for their software, and seem to have a pretty shoddy printing industry, so not much incentive for developers.
However Arabic is a major language and Apple should fix the problem.
As Tom suggests try Mellel, which is the best solution on the Mac.
Adobe has ME versions of both Indesign and Photoshop, for which you pay extra. They mostly work well.
MsWord for Windows (not the Mac) does reasonably well, but I have not tried its DTP features with Arabic so can't vouch for how solid they are in Word.

  • When I write in hebrew from right to left the periods/quotation marks/question marks at end of sentences jump to the beginning of the sentence. help

I cannot seem to format a message correctly when I write in hebrew from right to left
even if I press left margin and the message starts from the left side, all question marks, and end of sentences (periods, etc) jump to the front of the sentence and quotation marks or separation marks (such as dashes) split up the lines and jump words to the front of the sentence.
how can I change the formatting to solve this so the recipient receives a properly formatted email?

  • Premiere Elements 13 - how to write Hebrew from  right --- to  left?

I can see Hebrew fonts, but I can`t write Hebrew from right to left. Thanks!

    LAJRS
I have not been involved in languages for Premiere Elements other than English. What I have been reporting to you relates
to from what I have read.
Your chances for obtaining the right to left text in Photoshop CS6 are likely to be good.
On the video end of things, there was a report of a workaround with text generated in another program and then copy paste
    into the Premiere Pro Titler.

I am not sure if that concept could be extended to Premiere Elements and its Titler.

Try setting the text direction with no files open. It should stick for all new files.

  • Address to be printed in Hebrew language (RTL-Right to Left).

We have an issue with address prining in SAP Script form. The form (FI-Invoice) is in English, but recipient address is maintained in Hebrew (RTL-Right to Left). The Hebrew text is printed normal LTR, means it looks mirror imaged compared to actual Hebrew text.
I have tred with all options in ADDRESS command below, but could not get the (only) address printed in Hebrew /RTL orientation.
The option LANGUAGE has no effect, I don't know why!!
I have also tried the ITCPP-TDRTL in CLOSE_FORM but no use.

Try using Hebrew font in the paragraph format which is used to print the address.

  • Flash Player 9 (CS3) Arabic right-to-left (right to left) typing in input fields

Any input field (when typing arabic) should type right ot
left rather than left to right.
Does ANY version of flash/flash player support right-to-left
typing in arabic or any other right-to-left language.
I really urgently need an official answer saying yes or no.
I can see that flash supports arabic characters etc but as
far as I can see it does not support the right-to-left
    typing.

These are user to user forums, and while the occasional Adobe
employee does float through, you won't get an official answer here.
But you already know the answer and it is, sadly, no.
I doubt this is something that will change with versions of
the Flash Player, more likely the whole next version of Flash. So
probably at least 1 to 2 years and even then I doubt they will
support it. Complex languages seem to be something that Adobe isn't
    really all that interested in.
I'm currently trying to make a graffiti-style handwriting
recognition system for Hindi with Flash -- and it looks promising.
What are you trying to do?

  • How can I edit an InDesign file that contains right-to-left text (arabic, hebrew...) with InDesign CC?

With previous CS versions, there was a special ME (middle east) version of InDesign that had all the necessary right-to-left functions. Is there a CC ME version, or is there another solution?

So this comes at no extra cost to the CC subscription?
    Yes
And can it open older files that were created with Indesign CS5 ME for example?
    Yes
Add to that you can also download and install indesign cs6 version

  • Typing Right to Left CS5 ME!!!

I've been reading and searching for 6 hours !! And I can't fins how to copy an arabic text to indesign and making it go from right to left!!!
I pressed every button in my Indesign CS5 ME and I can't find any "Character direction" button or "right to left" .
    Can anyone please help me???

After you paste the text into InDesign, make sure that you're using the
"World Ready Paragraph Composer" for any paragraphs that have RTL text.
Under the Type menu you can select "Apply Adobe World Ready Composer" to
apply that composer to all paragraphs in the document.
Otherwise, if you want to apply it on a per-paragraph basis, go to the
flyout menu of the control panel (when you've got the Text tool
selected) and you'll find a list of four composers. Choose one of the
    two "World Ready Composers".
That should do the trick. If not, post back with more details of what
you're trying to achieve and exactly what you're doing.

  • Why does Mail crash when I change the writing direction selection to Right to Left?

Every time I select Hebrew or Arabic text I am currently typing in order to change its writing direction (in order to get the cursor to appear to the left side of the sentence) to Right to Left, Mail crashes. This is obviously a bug in the program, and seriously needs to be fixed ASAP. I have no problem changing the alignment to the right side, but changing the cursor position causes the crash. Has anyone been able to solve this in the meantime?

I have not seen anyone else reporting this problem since 10.8 was released last July, and I cannot duplicate it myself.  So it is more likely some issue with your setup than a bug, but further testing is needed to be sure one way or the other.
Could you provide more info on exactly what you are doing when this occurs?  Are you typing mixed English/Arabic text?  Are you using the Format menu to switch direction or a keyboard shortcut?  Are you trying to use Arabic fonts not provided with OS X?  A screen shot of what it looks like just before you crash would be helpful (use the camera icon here to upload that).

  • Does the iBooks Author support Right-to-Left languages?

    Hi,
I wish to know if the iBooks Author support languages which are written from Right to Left, such as Arab, and Hebrew.
Moreover, can it show those foreign letters?
Does it look okay, or unorganized?
And another small thing - can you upload a textbook, written by yourself, to your iPad without having a developer account?

    Alonreg wrote:

iBooks Author can certainly display RTL scripts, but it has various bugs which make it unsuitable for composing them for many users.  There is no setting for text direction and cursor operation is broken, making editing extremely difficult.  Copy/paste may work sometimes, but iBooks has been reported to misplace characters and have other problems.
