  • Remote Management - Rights Authentication Failed

    Since upgrading from zenworks 10 to zenworks 11 I am getting the following error when I try to remote to workstations. I am not receiving this on all workstations, just some.
    Zenworks Remote Management
    Rights Authentication failed. An internal error occured while validating
    information about the managed device. If the problem persists, contact
    Novell Technical Services.
    I cannot find any info on this particular error. Workstations are Windows XP SP3. This error did not occur before the upgrade to Zen 11.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank You

  • Rights Authentication Failed, Ticket expired

    Hello,
    I'm getting an error on remote control with rights to an pc.
    ZCM 10.3 and Windows XP SP3.
    The error is:
    Rights Authentication Failed. The ticket has expired. if the connection was initiated from the managed device, close the Remote Management Listener, launch it again and retry. If this does not resolve the problem, contact Novell Technical Services.
    Anyone who knows a fix for this?

    Note: It may take over-night for the issues to fix themselves.
    There is a Time Sync Status marker stored in the DB that is only started
    over-night.
    Once things are in Sync Today, you may want to try Remote Controlling
    from both of your servers. One may work while the other does not, until
    the flag is updated in the DB.

  • Toshiba EXCITE Pro - WIFI connection. Authentication failed after update

    Hello.
    Just received this Tablet.
    Everything seemed ok while updating to the latest version (did that first to solve the heat problems).
    After the last update *i lost my WIfi connection. Authentication failed* (didnt change something - was connecting - updating ok 1 minute before the last update).
    After that i started testing ,Wps connection , No security Wifi etc etc.
    *Finally at a random time (and with the initial settings) i got connected*. After i shut down the tablet the same problem occured.
    After doing the same things again i finally got connected and this time it seems to be ok, even after i shut down the tablet.
    However this is frustrating.
    Maybe you have to sort this out?
    I have seen and other people returning this tablet after having this problem.
    It is not a hardware problem since its working ok before the update.
    Of course tried factory reset twice.
    Hope i dont have this problem again, *but i am informing in hope that you fix this in a future update.*

    Toshiba sent me the fix for this. Figured I would use Facebook and they sorted a solution straight away.
    It requires a complete reset. Not the soft reset from within Android.
    I'll post it here as they will check through moderation I guess.
    Thanks for sending a private message Ben. For us to get this resolved for you we would advise to perform a reset from the Android system recovery menu, to do the reset please follow these steps:
    The reset process will delete any data, settings, and applications on your tablet. You must have a backup of any data you wish to keep before proceeding.
    1. Make sure the tablet is off and not in standby.
    2. Hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously until the two Android icons appear.
    3. Use the volume buttons to select the white box on the right.
    4. Once selected, press the power button.
    5. Use the volume buttons to select wipe cache partition and then press the power button.
    6. Select Yes and press the power button.
    7. Use the volume buttons to select wipe data/factory reset and then press the power button.
    8. Select Yes and press the power button.
    9. The tablet will now reset.
    If you have any issues after the reset please get back to us as soon as possible!
    Its been working well ever since. I guess the cache clean part might be the main one. You'll have to select the reboot yourself as I did at the end.
    Might be best to use Facebook i'll see if I can find my post as the response was quick and efficient unlike their responses in here. I.e nowt from them so far.
    They needed my name and serial numbers probably to log problems etc.

  • I'm trying to connect through the FTP client Filezilla. When I try to login with the wizard, it gives me a "503 Failure of Data Connection" reply; when I attempt to login myself, it gives me a "530 Login Authentication Failed." HELP!!!

    Now before anyone points out the obvious: my username and password are correct. I've already gone through changing them so I know they are.
    Additionally, I've pretty much tried EVERYTHING I've read online, from messing with "terminal" (and subsequently the FTP and STFP options) to changing the sharing options and turning on file sharing/remote management as well as just turning off my Firewall completely.
    Now I've used Filezilla before when I first published my site and everything worked fine. My site is published through Wordpress so most of my editing was done through simply logging into my "wp-login." I recently changed the theme and in order to change the header image in that theme I have to do it through my "wp-content" folder, which means I need to use Filezilla. I feel like a complete moron right now considering I've had my site for about a year and can't even doing something this simple.
    I've read that the newer version of Lion/Mountain Lion don't support automatice FTP anymore, which (as I mentioned prior) I attempted to fix through Terminal. However, nothing I do seem to do works.
    Can someone walk me through fixing this? And I do mean 'walk me through'. I'm not a tech-savvy nerd who knows all the lingo, I just know the basics so sorry if my ignorance offends you.
    HELP!!

    First be sure login and password are OK. Sometimes the address starts wit "http://..." and sometime starts with "ftp://...". Try both normal FTP access and Scure FTP access (SFTP). At the end, contact the site's provider.

  • OBIA 7.9.5 EBS Integration Not Logged On nQSError 43001 Authentication Fail

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to get Oracle Business Intelligence Applications 7.9.5 / OBIEE 10.1.3.3.2 integrated into the eBusiness Suite 11.5.10.2 per Metalink Note 552735.1. At the moment not an action link, just menu option to SA Administrator.
    I've run into and worked around a number of problems with the Initialization block variables setup in OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd and now no longer get errors in the NQServer.log after disabling Initialization Blocks for Siebel/Peoplesoft and disabling 2 EBS specific Init blocks that were erroring; 'Inventory Organizations' and 'Ledgers' I'll fix those later.
    However, now I get an error in the sawlog0.log file as follows:

    Thanks,
    Gareth

    The strange thing is both Gareth and I have configured OBIA/OBIEE on a Linux server and local authentication works fine. Once we enable external EBS authentication, we get the error listed above.
    Does anyone who has done the OBIA EBS integration with OBIEE running on Linux have an example of the odbc.ini file. It appears that even though we have reconfigured OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd to use OCI everywhere, that there is still some hard coded ODBC references for external authentication.
    We are configuring instanceconfig.xml as directed:
    Integrating Oracle Business Intelligence Applications with Oracle E-Business Suite
    https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=552735.1
    Configuring InstanceConfig.xml for External Authentication
    1. Modify the instanceconfig.xml file for the Oracle BI Presentation Services as shown below:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <WebConfig>
    <ServerInstance>
    <CatalogPath>c:\temp\default</CatalogPath>

    </ParamList>
    </ExternalLogon>
    </Auth>
    <!-- Other settings here. -->
    </ServerInstance>
    </WebConfig>
    2. The nameInSource for the cookie should be the same as the Oracle E-Business Suite application database SID name. To verify the name of the cookie, using Firefox, check the name of the cookie created under the us.oracle.com domain (or the domain where your Oracle E-Business Suite Application server is running). Please note that the cookie name is case sensitive.

    Hi,
    user tries to save concurrent request output (.txt) and gets 'Authentication Failed.' message in the file created.
    Same thing if he wants to see page source...
    I ran through firefox about:config, and found nothing special.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hi Carlo,
    thanks, tried all possible combinations of that property, but it did't work as hoped...
    When a page is loaded, it is cached so it doesn't need to be downloaded to be redisplayed. If the page changes after a previous visit, you may want to redownload it anyway to get the updated page. This preference controls how often to check for a newer version of a cached page.
    0-Check for a new version of a page once per session (a session starts when the first application window opens and ends when the last application window closes).
    1-Check for a new version every time a page is loaded.
    2-Never check for a new version - always load the page from cache.
    3-Check for a new version when the page is out of date. (Default)
    Found one workaround, but not totally ok:
    Right mouse click -> Select All
    Right mouse click -> View Selection Source
    File -> Save
    But there are HTML tags in saved file, and users don't want to edit the file...

  • Authentication Failed!? Can someone help please?

    Hi everyone,
    I'm in need of some real assistance. I have currently purchased and installed ARD 3.0 on my laptop. My girlfriend has just bought her first Mac computer - a new intel iMac. Wanting to help her remotely, I installed the client installer created by my ARD3 version. When I try to connect, it doesn't let me. It says "Authentication Failed". We even tried taking off the password to make it easier, but still nothing. I can connect by "Connect to Server" through the finder, but I just don't understand why it won't connect me through ARD. I've read a few forums about the intel problem, but I understood that problem is having ARD3 installed on the computer as in, "the master host" and not the client installer. Is that right?
    Can someone tell me if I am supposed to install the whole program on the iMac I am trying to connect to or does it just have to be on my computer and everyone else gets the custom "Client Installer" I've created. In her preferences under Sharing, it doesn't show Access Privileges, where as it does on mine as I have it fully installed on mine. I am very confused and feeling like a total newbie. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Same issue here. I have 25 nodes (mix of Pmacs 2x/4x) and am trying to get imaging going as we're replacing some of the 2x with 4x, Using NetRestore and a lot of help from local experts, I've got the imaging working, but even tho the new nodes are imaged from an existing one (and then renamed), I cannot connect to them with ARD 3.0 (Authentication Failed to [node]).
    The nodes are set up to get IPs based on MAC addresses from a MacOSX Server running DHCP and this part works well - they're getting the right IP #s, but not connecting via ARD. They show up in the ARD panel with the correct IP number and ARD version #, but the DNS name is missing (should be 'Q2L1.local' and is blank.)
    What kind of auth is being sought? Is it trying to get kerberos authentication via the Server? That service is on and appears to be working fine, altho I could imagine that since it's running off an imaged disk, there might be some kind of auth invalidation occuring.
    However, in checking the Server Open Directory logs, I see:
    Jul 20 2006 11:59:31 AUTH2: {0x446d07630c6cdd5e0000000f0000000f, hjm} DHX authentication failed, SASL error -13 (password incorrect).

    Jul 20 2006 11:59:32 RSAVALIDATE: success.
    Jul 20 2006 11:59:32 AUTH2: {0x446d07630c6cdd5e0000000f0000000f, hjm} DHX authentication failed, SASL error -13 (password incorrect).
    Jul 20 2006 11:59:32 QUIT: {0x446d07630c6cdd5e0000000f0000000f, hjm} disconnected.
    I'm logged into the server as 'hjm' but I don't have an account on the target machine (nor the image source machine which works just fine).
    The above errors suggest that it's a DHX key problem, but why should it involve 'hjm' and not the user logged in, or the user trying to log in?
    Incidentally, resetting the passwd for the logged in user does not work.

  • Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient). The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)

    Hi Experts,
    We had a task to  migrate SQL Server all the components to another server, the migration went well and had no issues at all. but We can login to SSAS service locally wihtout any issues. when we are connecting the analysis services from the other machines(servers)
    it is givng the below error.
    Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
    The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
    1) it is a stand alone server
    2) it is connecting to default instance but not to a named instance
    3) SPN's were set correctly. Double checked with the tool(MS Kerberos configuration Tool).
    4) The SQL server analysis start account has domain admin privileges.
    5) we can connect to Database services from the other machine remotely.
    6) none of the analysis services are  connecting.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Ramu,
    According to your description, you migrated SQL Server to another server, everything works fine except that cannot connect to SSAS remotely with the error, right?
    Authentication failed. (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
    The target principal name is incorrect (Microsoft.AnalysisServices.AdomdClient)
    Based on my research, this issue is caused by that the SPN for account that run the Analysis Services is corrupt. You said that the SPN were set correctly, however the error message indicate that the problem is related to SPN. So in your scenario, you can
    delete the SPN under the service account, and register SPN for Analysis Services instance. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

    Besides, here is a blog which describe the similar issue.

    I have setup apple remote access 100's of time before without any problems, however setting up my customers new server running 10.5.6 server when trying to connect using screen sharing or ARD i got the error authentication failed? I have checked the credentials and all is fine, if i disable remote management from the sharing preferences and just enable screen sharing I can connect ok.
    If i do the same on with there 10.4.11 server all works fine.
    I decided to setup 10.5 server on my mac pro at home and came across the very same problem, I have performed all system updates and searched the web for help but found nothing of any use.
    any help or a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
    kindest regards

    I had a similar problem and found that kickstarting ARD helped. This will kickstart enabling all privileges for all users:
    sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/k ickstart -activate -configure -access -on -restart -agent -privs -all

    Before I forget, the suppliant is using WIN XP and 802.1x is enable. I even uncheck not verify the server and the ACS under External User Databases, I did  check ENABLE EAP-TLS machine authentication.
    Thanks in advance for your help,
    Crazy---

    Any ideas on this guys?? In my end, i've been reading some docs... Things started to make sens to me, but I still cannot authenticate, still the same errors. One more thing that catch my  attention now is the time it takes to open a telnet session to cisco device which has the ACS for auth server.
    My AD(Active Direct) and the ACS server are local same subnet(server subnet). Ping to the ACS from my desktop which is in different subnet is only take 1ms. To confirm that the issue is the ACS server, I decided to use another server in remote location, the telnet connection is way faster than the local ACS.
    Let's brain storm together to figure out this guys.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Getting a lot of this error:The reason code is '4(802.1X Authentication failed 3 times.)'. - Controller Name:

    Since we upgraded our WCS system to V6.0.196.0 we are receiving a lot of the following error messages and I haven't figured out why.
    Client 'c0:cb:38:3f:a1:0d (anonymous, 0.0.0.0)' which was associated with interface '802.11a/n' of AP 'ACAA01-00.P04-G2C2.1' is excluded. The reason code is '4(802.1X Authentication failed 3 times.)'. - Controller Name: 205-dg20-bb3-4/2

    Check you ACS (Radius) logs under failures. You will see why its failing. Sounds like a AD account went bad
    or someone is entering the wrong logon ... But check your radius log it will point you in the right direction.

  • NoMachine(freenx) Authentication failed for user (MYUSERNAME)

    Hi all,
    I have quite a few experience with freenx on other linux distributions, but this is my first time setting up freenx on archlinux. After following the instructions in the wiki, authentication keeps failing no matter what I do.
    Stuff I've done from the wiki:
    1. install freenx
    2. add RSAAuthentication yes AllowUsers someuser nx to sshd_config
    3. add md5sum to node.conf
    4. pacman -S xdialog xterm
    5. run "/usr/bin/nxsetup --install --setup-nomachine-key"
    6. modify /etc/nxserver/node.conf so that "USER_X_STARTUP_SCRIPT=.xinitrc"
    7. pick the right configurations when connecting to my server
    I have "exec startxfce4" in .xinitrc.
    It always goes up to "Waiting for authentication" and then "Authentication failed for user (MYUSERNAME)" pops up. I think it should not be a XFCE issue since authentication itself didn't even pass. I assume if it is a X window problem, what I would get is something like a blank screen.
    I'm using public key, so I didn't really copy anything from the server to my client.
    I couldn't think of a second reason why this wouldn't work. Is there any thing obvious that I missed? (If so, please move this thread to the newbie corner. lol)
    Any thoughts would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Aweather
