Ring tones dont show up on my i phone

I just got an i phone this last week and when i try to get some of my ring tones on it to use them i tunes wont let me load them. i am using the same account on my computer and phone and it is sinced together. but it wont let me put new ring tones on my phone or in my ring tone library? any help or suggestions would be appriciated

Where did you download them from? Did you drag them from the Music folder to the Ringtones folder?
iOS devices use MPEG4 audio (AAC) for ringtones. Often these files end with .m4a, but the .m4r suffixe is generally used to denote a ringtone. iOS expects a ringtone to be less than 30 seconds in length and otherwise the only other restriction is that it's an AAC audio file.
You can make your own ringtones simply enough with any audio editing application on the Mac. Just create an MPEG4 audio stream, give it the suffice .m4r, and drag it into iTunes.

HT204053 purchused ring tones not showing on icloud

I just got the iphone 5. Signed in and half of my purchused stuff is not showing up in icloud. On my iphone 4 I had to swap it out a few months after I got it back in 2010. When I did that for some reason on the phone it created two seperate sets of playlist that read Purchused on Erika's iphone. Well with my new phone now it seems as if I only got the stuff that was listed under one of those playlist. I had brought my iphone4 in before to the genius bar because of that and they really couldnt tell me why it did that. And I was abel to stop it from doing that but everything before that was already split. Hope Im making sense here. I have the receipts of the stuff I purchused that is not showing in my icloud. What do I do to get access to that stuff I already bought?

I have used 10 or so custom ringtones in the past. They are still in the devices pane on iTunes. I assigned different ones to different callers for ID's. Now only 1 ringtone at a time will show on my iPhone 3GS 32GB. I manage all my media manually; checking the "sync" box on any panel warns you that all of of your music, movies, TV show etc. will be removed if you check this box. Not pretty.
I can manually drag any compatible media to the iPhone device icon EXCEPT ringtones. I used to do this without a hiccup. Nobody knows what's going on?

Basic Ring Tones on iPhone are Very Poor

As a business professional I am very pleased to pull out my iPhone and show it to other business associates. However, I am extremly dissapointed in the childish assortment of ridiculous ring tone options that are offered on this phone. I understand that a ringtone program was just released yesterday allowing you to create ring tones from iTunes music files.
I don't want my phone playing songs as ring tones while I am trying to conduct a professional business meeting. When will Apple PLEASE allow us to have simple digital phone style ring tones for use on this very fine business tool. I will gladly pay for these ringtones but please remember not all of us want songs for ring tones!!!
Listen to the phones in your offices or check out the ring tone from the phones on the TV show 24. We just want a clean digital sound option for the iPhone.

Ring tones on 3.1

I have just updated to I tunes 9 and v3.1 on my 3GS. All the ringtones i had created using ringtone maker have been deleted from my phone and I cant get them back on. The ring tones still show and play on I Tunes but when i try to drag and drop them onto my phone i get the + icon but the ringtones wont move or sync onto the 3GS. Can anyone help ?

Ring tones Apps!

I've just bought an Iphone 5 - my first smartfone so all a bit new to me. I've downloaded an ring tone app from Itunes and sync my phone. The App shows up on the phone but I can't add the ring tones to the 'General' 'Sounds' area to select and link to a ringtone such as incoming text. All I see is standard options.
ANy one assist?

After updating to ios5 my previously purchased ring tones don't work.

After updating to ios 5 my ring tones show only the default ones on my phone.
In Itunes it shows up, I have synced a number of times but the ring tone never shows up on the phone.

I couldn't get it to start at first. Then I found a forum that hade other issues with plugin and firefox 4 where the solution was to start firefox 4 in 32 bit mode and not in 64bit mode. After that it works nice for me.
It might also be useful to change the setting for the time that scripts are allowed to run.
dom.max_script_run_time should be set to higher number than 80 according to the support.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

You can redownload most iTunes pruchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
I do not think it included audio books.

Cant get my ring tone on my phone

i got the 5s a few days ago i just synced in today and lost my ring tone. it shows up on the computer but not on my phone. it asks me to buy it again

Since I have installed iOS 6.1.3 on my iPhone 5 I have sometimes problems to start a phone call. Everything looks fine, but no ring tone... A workaround is to stop phone app in the multitasking bar. But this is more than inconvenient ;-) Any solution?

In this cases everything looks fine, but no ring tone is there and after sometimes the phone informs me that no connection can be estabilished (its a German phone, therefore I am not sure about the message in English systems). A workaround is to stop the telephone app in the multitasking bar (double click on home button, hold the app symbol pressed for some seconds, close app). Next several call work after this.
I am not sure if an incomming call would work in this mode...
Faces anybody the same problems or has solution for it?

I want know how to use the ring tones I made on my i-phone

I have a ring tone app. I used it to create some 15 second ring tones from the songs on my i-phone (3Gs). I emailed the ring tones from the app to my email account and then I added them onto my i-tunes in the ringtone section. I can not figure out how to take the ringtone and make it work on my phone. I've synced my phone and I don't see them being added. Can someone give me the steps to take after I have the ring tones saved to my library in i-Tunes? Thank you!

I am playing a ring tone on a certain time to some phones, can the phone stop this ring tone if he needs.
i am using "play:myringtone.raw" in the execute object. so can i add a softkey on the ipphone so the ipphone user can stop this ringtone??

i have another question, if i need to stream this audio file not playing it as a ring tone, i tried to use the AvTransmit2.java class you sent before, and run this class on the streaming server, and on the phone i pushed the following:

so it can start receiving the stream but i received:

I had the same problem and was able to fix it. Go to your iTunes and click on the Tones folder on the left under library. Some of my ring tones had an exclamation mark next to it and those were the ones that did not sync. You have to click on those and find it in your computer. Once the exclamation mark is gone, go to Tones section of your device in iTunes, make sure you select the tones you want synced, and click apply. I hope that helps you!

So after my last response, I have now managed to get the Ring tone identifier bar showing possible ring tone songs to show up in iTunes. However, none of my 1,000 + songs have an icon to allow me to make a ring tone.
