Ringback tone caller greeting

how can I get the ringback tone caller greeting off

Great question, Debmurph! The greeting can be turned off on My Verizon when you are managing your ringback tones settings.
Thanks,

Dcoyle, We definitely know the importance of understanding options when it comes to ringback tones on your device. I'm truly sorry to learn that you've been experiencing distorted sound. Is this something that just started recently? Which device do you currently have with us? We'll look into this for you, indeed.

  • Ringback tone issue on outbound call with full E.164 number between 2 sites

    Hi there.
We have been encounting issue where site A calling site B with full E.164 number users expereiencing no ringback tone on caller while phone is ringing on site B.
In CUCM, Route Pattern is configured to use TEHO for long distance call. For instance, if site A dial site B with full number with area code, call should be sending out via site B VG.
It was working fine until recently, there is no change made on VG nor in CUCM.
I have attached dial-peer config of site B, should i add below subcommand under all dial-peer # pots?
    progress_ind alert enable 8
    progress_ind progress enable 8
    progress_ind connect enable 8

Yes I have expereinced this too..Even when you call an external number and the user rejects the call, you hear a normal ringback tone over sip trunks..I think the issue is that the ITSP sends a 183 session progress or 180 ringing even before knowing what the state of the called device is..
You can send us a debug ccsip messages for a test call and we will be able to know exactly what is going on

  • Too late ringback tone to calling

    hi
when i call from phone1 to phone2,after 10 seconds i can hear ringback tone below situation.
i could not understand why so late ?
    anyone help me ?
    phone1 - pbx -(T1 with E&M)- 3661 - IP network - 1750 - FXS - phone2

You may be using the 'T' as a destination pattern in your dial peers and this will wait 10 seconds as an interdigit timeout until it makes the call. Make your destination patterns more specific (eg 5... etc) so the router will make the call as soon as it sees the defined number of digits.

  • How can I shorten the length of my ringback tone?

How can I shorten the length of my ringback tone?

You mean music that the caller hears when they call you? You'll have to contact your carrier. That's a carrier feature, not a function of the phone.

  • Ringback Tone issue

Theowner of this account is my dad, however I log on every now and then to get something. Specifically, ringback tones. In the store, I set the "shopping for" option to my phone, and once I did it said that it would be set for my phone. I called my phone to test it, yet it didn't play (instead, it played my old ringback tone which I purchased through text). I have no way to check if it actually did get sent to my phone because when I look at the options to manage tones, it only shows me the option to manage them on my dad's phone. How do I see tone options for MY phone?

Each phone number needs to have it's own log in and password for MyVerizon - backup assistant and ringtones/ringbacks management is linked to each number exclusively.
Log out of Dad's account - perhaps even close the browser to ensure your are completely logged out. then go to verizonwireless.com and REGISTER with YOUR number. It should allow you to create a log in username and password for that number.
If it tells you the number is already registered, then you'll need to clear the cache and delete cookies, or use a different browser to create the separate accounts.
Once your number is set up with it's own account, you can manage YOUR ringbacks from MyVerizon. If you have the iPhone, you can download the MyVerizon app and manage them from your phone as well.
    Hope that explains it.

  • An error message everytime I try to buy a ringback tone

there is a problem with the ring back tone  keeps on popping up error message

Have you  activated the Advanced Calling feature?  That and ringback tones don't get along, and ringback tones are unable to be used if you have that feature.
If that isn't the issue, then call customer service and see if they can figure it out - 800-922-0204 or *611 from your handset.

  • I keep getting an error code when I try to purchase a ringback tone.

I click subscribe to ring back tones and I get "System error occurred and the order was not processed at this time. Please try again later. Code: SCM248" How do I fix this?

    greg0110,
That certainly is not what we want to hear! Your device is Advanced Calling capable, do you have this feature turned on, on your device? If so, the ringback tone service is not compatible with Advanced Calling.

  • Default Ringback Tone Won't Delete!

Just activated a Samsung U370. My first caller said they got some crazy Mozart music while they were waiting for me to answer.  I never set this up and cannot, no matter what I do, get it to go away!
Please help.  I've been in Manage Media and it won't even give me the option to delete.  Same with Add/Remove features.
    Just want the normal ring.
    Thanks.

For anyone else having this problem...
I did a click and drag to change the ringback tone in "manage ringback tones". In the default area, it had a 'musical' ringback icon.  I simply clicked on the ringback I wanted and dragged (?) it up to the default box.  It then changed.
Originally, I couldn't delete or change - even in 'add/change features'.
And I thought I didn't know what I was doing.  LOL

Each line needs to have it's own login and password for managing ringbacks and ringtone purchases, and backup and cloud services.
Register each number on the account for it's own username and password, and make the ringback purchase under that login. If it's already purchased under a different number, call customer service and they can straighten it out for you.

  • I have the Galaxy S5 and I purchased a ringtone/ringback tone jukebox and I can not find my ringtone download because when I went to click on download it came up that message had timed out.

Wondering how to retrieve my ringtone without having to pay for it again.

Did you purchase a ringtone?  Or a ringBACK tone?  They are two different things, and ringbacks are not downloaded to your phone, but managed on line via MyVerizon.
If you purchased a ringtone, and the download did not occur, you can log on to MyVerizon and go to My Media, and it should be available to re-send to your phone.
If not, call customer service, 800-922-0204, choose option 4, say "Agent" at the prompt, and you will be connected to a live person who can get this sorted for you, (When I called this morning I had NO hold time at all - I was connected immediately).

  • Setting my ringback tone back to the original factory ringback tone

I've tried searching in my account how to change my ringback tone back to the original ringback tone, but I cannot find how to do this.  My account doesn't even show me what song I currently have set as my ringback tone.  I just want the original ringback tone from the factory settings.  Does anyone know how to do this?  Step by step instructions please.  Thanks!

Hi mekrall.  Depends if its for the "General" ringtone for all calls (or "Default" tone) or a custom ringtone for an individual Contact.
For "General" ringtones go to "Settings" on your Device then "Sounds" then "Ringtone" and under that a checkmark will indicate your current ringtone.  You can then choose from the list what you want for your new/original ringtone.  To hear samples of the ringtones touch the choice and it will play.  Touch it again to stop.  A checkmark will appear next to your newly selected choice.
If its to change a "custom" ringtone for an individual contact(s), open your "Contacts" app, go to the contact(s) you want to change and, after opening the contact(s) select "ringtone" for that contact and change to what you want it to be, then click "Save" in the top-right corner of the screen.
    Hope this helps

  • Ringback tone playing something NOT on my list

My husband and I've had ringback tones on our phones for a couple years now.  I've never had a problem buying them and managing them online for both lines.  This morning, both of our phones have started playing "You Are So Beautiful" as the ringback.  I've never bought this for either line and when I go online, it's still showing the correct song that we had on there before, but that's not what's playing.  I even tried buyting 2 new tones and changing them, still the same song.  Anyone know what could be going on?

Thanks rreihart!!!  Good to know it's not just us.  I wish they would put something on their website when things like this happen so the problem is easily solved just by going to their website.  It's funny because my husband works nights and he called me at 6am this morning and asked what in the hell I had put on his phone.  I didn't understand what he was saying.  Then he told me to hang up and call him back.  I told him I hadn't done anything.  He wasn't mad or anything, just didn't understand why that dumb song was playing on his phone.  One of the guys he works with had told him about it when he called him last night.  Then I tested mine and got the same thing.  I figured it was a Verizon issue, but was surprised that nothing was showing up on a search.

  • Ringback tones volume

Even if someone can turn down their volume, they've already been assaulted by the sound.  I've gotten so many complaints since turning this on, I just canceled the ringback tone service.  Obviously this is a problem with over 2,000 inquiries, think it might be time to find a solution Verizon?

Just bought my first ringback tone. Called my phone from another phone and it sounds like crap. It is way too loud. I'm seriously regretting signing up for this service since it seems there is no way to adjust the volume. It should not be left to the caller to adjust the volume; this should be something the purchaser can control. Very disappointed.
