    Moenetta,
You've come to the right place for help! Being able to customize your phone and ring back tones is definitely a great way to do that. What specific issues are you having with the ring back tones? have you already bought the ring back tone? How did you purchase the ring back tone? Please provide details so I may better assist.

  • How can I create a new ring tone for my iPhone 4?

How can I create a new ring tone for my iPhone 4? I followed the Garage Band process and ended up with the ring tone I want as a AAC audio file. It got stored in my iTunes a a song rather than a ring tone. How do I make it a ring tone vs. a song? I tried dragging it t the Ring Tone category at the bottom of the ITunes list, but it won't alloow me to move it?

There's also an easy to use Applescript over at Doug's Applescripts for iTunes. It automates the whole thing. All you do is set the start and stop time on a file in iTuens and run the script. It will do everything else.

And maybe you don't talk to too many people but I've been on many forums on different websites where people have had similar problems and a lot of people in the store were having battery problems where they were draining too fast. What I learned is that all the people who did not download the updates are good. There phone is working the same. The people who have, they're having battery problems
I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.

You can't unless iOS5 includes this function, but even then it might just be for iPhone 4.

Each line needs to have it's own login and password for managing ringbacks and ringtone purchases, and backup and cloud services.
Register each number on the account for it's own username and password, and make the ringback purchase under that login. If it's already purchased under a different number, call customer service and they can straighten it out for you.

  • How do i put a ringback tone to my iphone,

You would have to ask your carrier if they offer this.
It is not done with the iphone.  Your carrier would have to do this.

how do I purchase ring tones and ring back tones for my phone
how do I designate specific tones for specific people

You use a free app like Zedge for the ringtones or use an app like Ringtone Maker, both in Google Play Store and free or similar to snip the desired parts from songs on your phone from your own collection.  To assign to a contact, go to the address book and tap the contact, tap EDIT, and scroll down to assign a ringtone.  As far as ringbacks go....you have to buy those from Verizon either through the My Verizon app or from your My Verizon account page online.  Notice:  most people hate to hear other people's ringback tones plus, the volume is always too loud and the quality is horrible.

I know this is slightly off-topic, but I do wish more people would take the time to get some more individualized ringtones. You can always tell the iPhone crowd, when one rings, everyone looks at theirs. Not me. Mine rings and I immediately get the "how did you do that" questions. I make 'em, don't buy 'em...
Of course, the flip side of that would be the proliferation of ringtones by Justin Bieber or Snookie. Hmm, Tri-tones may not be so bad after all...

Not everyone...actually, not most iPhone users buy their ringtones either. They make them...hearing a ringtone from a popular artist isn't a red flag to iPhones being in the crowd. Since you can make your own ringtones for many devices it's safe to say that any body wanting to use something that stands out over the normal music tone or stock tone could do so if they take the time to create it and make it compatiable to their device. For many, those tones you hear ARE individualized for them...there is a reason they chose that song (the beauty of music is it's ability to have significant meaning or be connected to something the listener enjoys)...honestly, sometimes I miss the days of a phone just ringing...like a phone lol.

  • Can you get any more text tones for your iPhone 4?

I have had my iPhone for a while now but I am getting bored of the text tones and want something new and interesting. But I can only download ringtones.

No.  This will likely change with iOS 5, so hang in there.

I can reach the non-working number from a cellphone, so it seems like an issue on my part too. it shows SIGNAL INDICATION=NOT PRESENT on non-working debug. Where should i look to correct it?

  • HT1349 how does one turn on the ring tone for the iPhone 4s

hy, i just purchased a new i phone and my ring tone will not work and neather will my message reminder. wheh i go into settings i press sounds but abovt the word vibrate is the word silent  even though all my ring tone and message tones  are set.

Check to see if you have flipped the ring/silent switch on the left side of the phone above the volume up button.  (If it is red, your phone is on Silent.)  The setting you see determines whether or not your phone will vibrate when this switch is set to Silent.  If Vibrate is set to On below this it means that the phone will vibrate when the switch is flipped to the Silent (red) position.

  • Download tones for iPhone

I can't download Tones for my iPhone. I can't find the option Store > Create Tone when I select a song. Can anyone help me?

Have you made sure the songs are available in ringtone format? Only songs with a bell icon can be used with the ringtone feature. This is because of greedy record labels and has nothing to do with Apple.
And as for "every phone on earth other than the iPod" - actually, most phones require you to pay $3 or more for a six-second clip of a song, which is the same six seconds for everybody and can't be customized. iTunes gives you the whole song for 99 cents plus a custom ringtone for 99 more cents.

  • Custom ALERT TONE for iphone need HELP please.

I understand how to create a custom TONE as an M4R file and import into itunes into the TONES library.
When i sync my TONES to my iPhone, it lists as a RING tone.
My custom ring tones, which are approximately 10 sec long work just fine when set as my RING tone for incoming calls.
    HOWEVER ....
What i am DESPERATELY trying to do is create a custom ALERT tone and have it LIST as an ALERT tone in my phone and NOT a ring tone. Seems custom tones do not work for sms alerts.
I searched EVERYWHERE and can not seem to find an answer. I realize apple wants us all to BUY alert tones, but i should be able to create my own too no?
I created some custom alert tones, approximately 1 sec long each. Converted them to M4R files and sync'd them to my phone.
In my phone they appear under the RING TONES list and not ALERT TONES.
Maybe this dosent matter, however, when i try to set my TEXT ALERT SOUND to one of my custom ALERT tones, they do NOT work. My text messages come in without playing the sound.
Can ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME figure out how to properly create a TONE as an ALERT TONE for my iphone?
HUGE THANKS to ANYONE that can help.

I've never been able to assign custom tones under alerts.  It doesn't matter though as you can assign ringtones as alerts as of iOS 5 I believe.  I had a similar issue with silent alerts, sometimes they would play, other times theywouldn't, but they would always play when selecting them under settings.  Resetting all settings (not content) has so far fixed that issue for me.  Try resetting your settings after you've synced your tones.
