Ringback Tone not heard in Arc Connect queue

Hi All,
Got a strange problem thats been ongoing for a while now.
Our customer has recently migrated to SIP and since this point I am having to force the external ringback tone using command disable-early media 180. In addition they have an Arc connect solution which now when transferring callers into the queues and then being passed to an agent, they do not hear ringback there is just silence. In queue messages and MOH is heard within the queue.
I'm pretty sure this is a DTMF issue but I have tried everything to rectify this with no luck.
We are unable to create a SIP trunk to the CUBE as CUCM 7.1.2 does not support this hence h323 gateway.
The flow is as follows :-
SIP > CUBE > h323 > CUCM > Arc
CUCM Version :- 7.1.2
Arc Version :- 5.1.0.403
I've attached sanitised config.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

You most likely right by saying this is DTMF related, I had a similar issue in the past, going H323<>SIP on a CUBE and played with the dtmf settings on the dial peers, and ended up with:
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric rtp-nte

I bought a new ringback tone and set it as my default but whenever someone calls me they are still hearing the elevator music.

Did you set it online through your account at MyVerizon? If you are on a family plan, did you register YOUR phone number and purchase the ringback through that?
Call CS and see if they might be able to help you set it up properly, if you are unable to do it through MyVerizon. 800-922-0204

  • Ringback tone settings

Can you set your ringback tones so an unknown caller gets the standard ring?

These steps will only work for unassigned Ringback tones. To unassign a Ringback tone, drag it from the contact or group (on the right side of the screen) then drop it on the Ringback Tones section (on the left side of the screen).
The default Ringback tones (Verizon classical Ringback tone and Verizon standard Ringback tone) cannot be deleted.
Connect to the Internet then navigate to the Ringback Tones website.
Enter the 10-digit mobile number or Username and password then click Login.
Click My Ringback Tones (located at the top of the screen).
Drag and drop the desired Ringback tone on the recycle bin icon (located at the bottom of the screen).
    Click Delete.

  • I have the Galaxy S5 and I purchased a ringtone/ringback tone jukebox and I can not find my ringtone download because when I went to click on download it came up that message had timed out.

Wondering how to retrieve my ringtone without having to pay for it again.

Did you purchase a ringtone?  Or a ringBACK tone?  They are two different things, and ringbacks are not downloaded to your phone, but managed on line via MyVerizon.
If you purchased a ringtone, and the download did not occur, you can log on to MyVerizon and go to My Media, and it should be available to re-send to your phone.
If not, call customer service, 800-922-0204, choose option 4, say "Agent" at the prompt, and you will be connected to a live person who can get this sorted for you, (When I called this morning I had NO hold time at all - I was connected immediately).

  • I am part of a family account but i am not the account holder. i want to set a ringback tone to just my phone how do i do tha?

how do I set a ringback tone for just one phone not all of them?

If you haven't already, you need to register your line's phone number for its own MyVerizon account online. This different and separate from the MyVerizon account associated with the account owner's line. You might need to sign out of the account owner MyVerizon account and clear the cookies and cache before you can register your line.
Once signed into your account, you can set up the ringback tones for your phone number.

  • I have an iPhone 5s (2months old) and when I dial out I hear no answering ring tone but when the person dialled picks up, I can converse normally. Frustrating not knowing if being connected or not. Using speaker doesn't help.

I have an iPhone 5s (2months old) and have started to encounter problem. If dialling out I sometimes receive no answering tone and am unaware if connecting or not. This doesn't change if I use speaker. However, if the call is answered I can converse normally. It's very frustrating. Any ideas?

Try resetting the phone. Hold both buttons until the apple logo appears and then let both go and wait for phone to restart

  • Ringback tone playing something NOT on my list

My husband and I've had ringback tones on our phones for a couple years now.  I've never had a problem buying them and managing them online for both lines.  This morning, both of our phones have started playing "You Are So Beautiful" as the ringback.  I've never bought this for either line and when I go online, it's still showing the correct song that we had on there before, but that's not what's playing.  I even tried buyting 2 new tones and changing them, still the same song.  Anyone know what could be going on?

Thanks rreihart!!!  Good to know it's not just us.  I wish they would put something on their website when things like this happen so the problem is easily solved just by going to their website.  It's funny because my husband works nights and he called me at 6am this morning and asked what in the hell I had put on his phone.  I didn't understand what he was saying.  Then he told me to hang up and call him back.  I told him I hadn't done anything.  He wasn't mad or anything, just didn't understand why that dumb song was playing on his phone.  One of the guys he works with had told him about it when he called him last night.  Then I tested mine and got the same thing.  I figured it was a Verizon issue, but was surprised that nothing was showing up on a search.

  • Ringback tones will not play

I have purchased new ringback tones since my others have expired but they will not play.  I am using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and have never had a problem in the past with the ringback tones.  I have it set up on a jukebox, which is set as my default.  It's pretty frustrating that I have bought these tones but I am not able to use them.  Any suggestions?

Are you on a shared plan?  Did you  log in to My Verizon using your own unique phone number and pasword?  Each line on an account needs to have it's own separate login and password on My Verizon to purchase ringtones, ringbacks, and other  services that will be used on that specific line.

  • Ringback tone will not play

I bought a new ringback tone on October 1 and it will not play.  I have set it as default, set it for all days, etc. and all I get is the Verizon classical thing.  HELP!

Let's make sure that you can personalize your calls, k_u_jayhawk1998. Was the Ringback Tone added to your line through My Verizon with your phone number as the login? Were you able to verify that the default tone is not set for specific callers? Have you been able to use Ringback Tones in the past?

  • Ringback Tone will not reset

I have tried to reset my ringback tones for the last 5 days with no luck. I go to the ringback manager. Change the default which was some lousy Verizon classical and choose one of the 7 that I have to be the default.  Change is made on the site but never transfers to my phone.  Can someone help?

  • Ringback tones do not play, still just ringing iPhone 4

I've read through the different questions and nobody seems to get the question answered.  I subscribe to the ringback tone feature and purchased 3 ringback tones through the media store to put in a jukebox.  I put the jukebox to the default field but when I call my phone number, all hear is ringing. I've had ringback tones on different phones and had no problems.  Is this an iPhone issue? It shouldn't be this difficult.

You have to go under your Vzw account and that's where you would find how to fix it since it is online only to buy them or change them. Are you still paying .99 for the service? If you aren't then that's why you don't hear them.  I thought hey lasted a certain amount of time.

  • Problem with SPA232D + SPA302D ringback tones??

I recently installed a new SPA232D ATA and SPA302D DECT handset onto our office network, which already uses a trusty SPA525G2 desk phone. Both the SPA525 and the SPA232 register with a hosted SIP provider on separate lines. I don't have any other phones (analgoue or otherwise) connected to the SPA232. After configuring the device and entering a bunch of regional settings, most things with the new phone work as expected.
However, when I use the SPA302 handset (via the SPA232) to call the SPA525, I hear an odd ringback tone that sounds only once followed by silence until the call is picked up or goes to VM. The destination phone continues to ring and can be picked up as normal to initiate the call. Also, the tone is different from the ringback tones entered into the regional settings of either device. Calling other phones and other numbers (outside my SIP account) result in ringback tones that are correct for our region. I did a very quick syslog capture with wireshark and I see a 100->183->200 SIP sequence on these calls, whereas other calls seem to show a 100->180->200 sequence. I didn't see any 182s. Not sure if that is important.
Any idea what might cause this?
Also, a couple of other minor problems reagrding the SPA232D + SPA302D combo:
    - The SPA232 will not automatically register to the SIP service after a reset or power cycle, and makes no attempt to reconnect after the intial failure. It will register immediately, however, if the voice component is restarted after a config change in the http GUI. I have set network delay to 0, but noticed no difference.
    - The SPA232 (or SPA302) seems to ignore most regional settings. Changes to tone frrequencies and cadences in the config make no difference to the tones heard through the SPA302. Do these need to somehow be resynced with the handset?
    Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
    With thanks,
    Nick

the ringback tones entered into the regional settings of either device. Calling other phones and other numbers (outside my SIP account) result in ringback tones that are correct for our region. It IS important. The 180 code is "generate ringback tone locally" command. The callers phone will create ringback tone according it's (regional) configuration. The 183 code is "I will sent you ringback tone as audio" - so local phone generate no tone, just play what it come via audio channel from called device or target exchange to it.
So you need to check configuration of exchange that connect call from SPA232D to SPA525 (e.g. call with broken ringback tone).

  • Ringback tone issue on outbound call with full E.164 number between 2 sites

    Hi there.
We have been encounting issue where site A calling site B with full E.164 number users expereiencing no ringback tone on caller while phone is ringing on site B.
In CUCM, Route Pattern is configured to use TEHO for long distance call. For instance, if site A dial site B with full number with area code, call should be sending out via site B VG.
It was working fine until recently, there is no change made on VG nor in CUCM.
I have attached dial-peer config of site B, should i add below subcommand under all dial-peer # pots?
    progress_ind alert enable 8
    progress_ind progress enable 8
    progress_ind connect enable 8

Yes I have expereinced this too..Even when you call an external number and the user rejects the call, you hear a normal ringback tone over sip trunks..I think the issue is that the ITSP sends a 183 session progress or 180 ringing even before knowing what the state of the called device is..
You can send us a debug ccsip messages for a test call and we will be able to know exactly what is going on

  • Ringback tone didnt transfer

I recently got the Thunderbolt and my ringback tones didnt transfer over. I have tried numerous times to get into all the v cast apps and they will not open on my phone. I tried to do it on here and cant cause it is on another line not the primary line. Anyone else have issues with v cast or their ringback tones?  Starting to think Im really gonna hate this phone!!!  Also lose data connection had to do system reset 3 times already!!

Ringback tones aren't stored on the phone, they are on the network.
If they are missing it's not because you have a Tbolt.  Having issues with vcast apps is not the same as losing your ringback tones.
Have you tried signing in to the site itself directly to set them?  Or make sure you still have a ringback tone subscription (which also wouldn't have disappeared for a phone upgrade).
You can do it from here, just don't log in as the primary number, register a member account for the number you're specifically trying to see the rbt for.
