RINGTONE NOTIFICATIONS FOR TEXTS ONLY

I have a new DROID RAZR HD by Motorola in White and it is fantastic. I only want ringtone notifications for TEXTS ONLY. How do I stop ringtone notifications from email and Facebook which I can wait on, but TEXTS I want to answer asap.

In the individual applications chose a silent tone for email and Facebook notifications. Then in the text message application choose the tone of your choice.

I would like to assign different ringtone notifications for texting and email, and if possible, different ringtones for each of my two email accounts. I need to see texts immediately, but not emails. Am picking up the phone 50 times a day so I don't miss a text, critical to my work. Could do this on Bb Storm, but can't figure out on Incredible. At a minimum, I would like to shutoff notification for email, and just get pinged for texts. Thanks!!

The default notification tone that you set in the Settings->Sound is for the default tone in the generic e-mail account and all other notifications. If you use the Gmail client, you can set your own personal ringtone in it's settings (Menu->Settings). In the messaging Application you can also set a custom notification sound from there as well (Menu->Settings)
As for different e-mail accounts using the same e-mail application, I don't think that is possible with the in stock app...tho I am not totally sure I haven't use it like that before.

Hmmm that's strange TopDiver. Let's get to the bottom of this. Have you checked the notification settings on the device? To verify the notification setting on the device click on menu>settings>sound>notification sound, then test device notifications.

Don't see email accounts to change notifications and no notifications for TEXTS.

I have had carrier issued software release 10.2.1.2977 for awhile.
I noticed now that under Notifications --> Core Applications there is no mention of any of my email accounts.
(But I have no issue receiving or sending email via this Q10).
And although it seems that I can change notification for Text Messages, in practice there is no LED or Vibrate or Sound that happens when a text does arrive. (And again there is no issue receiving or sending texts via this Q10 BUT no notification of any type)
Any ideas to resolve these notification problems?
If not, I will be forced, albeit reluctantly to "starting fresh".
Having said that I am not sure the best and safest way to do this ie reinstall carrier OS and then restore what I have backed up using BB Link.
I would love to know of the easiest, safest way to do as I have described.

And yet as you can see I am able to make changes of NOTIFICATON for texts but whatever I choose I still don't get notification via LED or VIBRATION and for my email accounts which Ican't see LED and VIBRATE is working fine (but of course can't change them)!

If the apple id being used by iCloud isn't the one you want, go to settings > icloud > delete account. It doesn't actually delete the account, but it removes it from your device so you can put in the right apple id

I was having issues like that. Go through your sound settings and make sure that you have not set the same sound for something else. Also if you had dropped your phone at some point, it sometimes does its own little thing. Mine did that last time. Also sometimes texts get backed up in your phone comapnies server and sometimes it gets confused and resends things and once it finds out it already was delivered it doesn't show anything new.
But go throgh your setting.
Have you ever dropped the phone? Becuase they may be contributing to it.

Ringtone set for text alert, doesn't stop playing

i have a ringtone set for my text alert, whenever it plays and i toggle the silent switch the ringtone keeps playing, especially if I get multiple texts. How do I fix this?

I have also run into this with using the Web Object Interface and pointing it to an HTML page that we host which displays a streaming (Video On Demand or VOD) video ever since we started using Captivate 7.0
What is strange about this is that this problem only occurs in the FLASH-format published output from Captivate (we now use 7.0.1).
When testing out the exact same course using the HTML5 output that was published (tested on an iPad) the audio from the previous slide actually stops playing when we go to a different slide. This is the desired result and it works fine.
I have just posted a bug report at the link that you provided (thanks) because the part of the Captivate program which publishes the Flash version of the course does not seem to be destroying the previous web object when the student goes to a different slide.

Can't input for text, only for numbers

A program I have written has inputs for text and numbers, the text one just comes up and then skips to the input of numbers.

I guess the nextDouble() doesn't consume the new line character.
Therefore, the call to nextLine() will read an empty line (corresponding to the empty string between the number read and the 'return key' you hit after entering your number.) You should add a call to nextLine() to consume it: double age, score

The screen lights up but there is no sound alert or banner it may or may not be followed by a sound alert and / or banner or the sound alert may come twice even after the text/ email/ app notification has been checked. Or the banner notifications are being pushed through hours after I have checked the emails. I have checked the notification setting and all is in order and software is up to date as well. Called apple support but they want to charge me even to comment on what the problem could be related to! Pl help!

Buying a bundle doesn't mean that your device will work aborad you need to make sure roaming is enabled on your account.
If you have a EE extra plan you still need to make sure roaming is enable on your account your plan only gives you free/cheaper calls when abroad.
If your wanting to enable roaming on your account there could be a deposit to pay if you haven't had the device for about 6 months.
Unless you have paid the deposit then roaming is not enabled on your account.
You need to activate roaming on your account by calling 150 from your device or from a landline 01707 315000 before you leave the UK.
But you can still do this if you are abroad.
If you have had the device/contract for 6 months or over you can login to your online account and turn on roaming yourself
Manage this device>Usage controls>Roaming abroad - Allow and Call abroad and turn it on. If the option is not there you need to call

How to: Print table on first page, use second page (back) for text only

Hi, I am looking for a clear document on how to use pagination and the Odd and Even pages.
We need to print a table over several pages, but only on Odd pages.
On the back of each page we need to print "Terms and Conditions". Is that possible? Can it be done without scripting
We are on ADOBE version 8.1
In the file properties, double sided is switched on, and version set to 8.1 and higher.
I created two Master pages, a FrontPage with ContentArea1and a BackPage with ContentArea2.
FrontPage is used for uneven pages, BackPage is used for the even pages. The masterpages are printed correctly (alternating properly).
Two pages were created for the content area's:
ITEMS: contains item data (table with header and footer). Place is "On Odd Page". After "Goto page BackPage". And if the table needs to be paginated it goes to BackPage with overflow leader "Conditions".
CONDITIONS: contains a textfield (Terms and Conditions). Place is "On Even Page". After "Goto page FrontPage". No overflow.
What should happen is that on the front pages the item table is printed. If there are too many lines it should overflow to page number 3 then 5 etc. All the even pages should display the text.
What actually happens is that the item table also gets printed in the content area for the Condition text...
Also the "Conditions" are not printed on the last back page. But only once before it...

Fixed it... After a lot of creating, deleting, playing around with pagination and the inevitable cursing...
I have created 5 pages:
1. FirstPage
     - Odd/Even: Odd (Front) Pages
     - Placement: First page (In page set)
2. FrontPage (For Odd pages)
     - Odd/Even: Odd/Front Pages
     - Placement: Rest of Pages
3. BackPage (For Even pages)
     - Odd/Even: Even (Back) Pages
     - Placement: Rest of Pages
4. LastPage
     - Odd/Even: No Odd/Even Restrictions
     - Placement: Last page (In page set)
5. DummyPage
     - Odd/Even: Blank pages
The 'Terms and conditions' are located on the BackPage and LastPage (as a text).
The table that is printed is (of course) located on a normal page (flowed subform).
Pagination tab: Placement = Following previous, and After = "Continue filling parent". No overflow... Basically, it's all default.
The table lines will now start on the first page and if there are more lines than can be printed on this page, it will continue in the next content area. That will be on the FrontPage.
The trick is that each master page must have a content area (mandatory). Except for Blank pages, but these cannot be used... Blank pages would only be used once, after the first page.
What I discovered is that you can drag a content area away from the Master page and attach it to a different master page.
Logically, if there is no content area on a page, then data cannot be printed there. So, I created a Dummypage. On this page I dumped the content areas from the LastPage and the BackPage. As a result, content cannot be printed anymore on the back of pages. Only the standard text (a text field) is printed there. When the data from the table is overflowing, it will automatically overflow from the FirstPage to the next content area. Which is located on the FrontPages only.
The DummyPage is NOT used anywhere.
The result is that the records can only be printed on the content areas that exist on the First and Front pages. The back pages are now skipped.
Duplex printing is now working correctly, and the text is printed on the back of all the pages.

Change notification for INSERT only

Hi Oracle 10.2, C# user, is it possible to register change notification only for INSERT operation?
Certainly change notification is working fine and I could filter by checking OracleNotificationEventArgs.Details.Rows[0]["Info"] but wondering if Oracle has filtering capability.

The only change you can make is, go to: Settings, Notifications, swipe up on the screen to reveal Contacts, tap Contacts, tap Customize for Contact, tap the contact, tap Email Messages, turn Off the Alerts you wish.

Notification for emails only in priority hub

Dear users,
Currently, my device Z10STL100-2/10.2.2.1531 notifies me on each arrived email (displayed on the lock screen and blinking). I'd like to receive notification only for emails in the Priority Hub. Or set a filter on certain emails / senders to be ignored and do not fire any notification. How can I set it, please? I don't care about other notifications (LI, FB,...).

Reduce margins for text only in Pages

I need to reduce the 1-inch default left and right margins in iWorks '06 to half an inch (.5 in) in the blank template, using only text. I ploughed through the user manual but can't find anything on how to solve that problem. I did see a template with half-inch margins but can't get it to work for me.
Can anyone help me with this?

click on Inspector icon, click on first icon in its menu bar and that highlights the document margins. Change to what you want in the relevant boxes and off you go. To make the change active for each box you must click in the next box or hit enter.

My sound notification for texts goes off but my text takes a minute before it shows up in my conversation with someone. How can I fix that?

My phone will tell I have a text from a person and when I open it up there is no text. The text doesn't load for a minute so I close it wait a little bit then reopen the conversation and then the text will be in there. It seems to happen with people who have iPhones so through iMessage. It's really annoying to have to wait for a text to load.

Take it to Apple and purchase an out of warranty replacement for it.
Replacement is the only way to fix broken electronics.

Getting the response body of an HTTP GET request is as easy as:
