Ringtone terms of service

i can't make ringtones because when i click the bell icon it has me login twice then tells me that i need to agree to the itunes store terms of service and i can't find an agree button or anything to agree to the terms of service. anyone have this problem and anyone know how to fix it?

My computer did not have this problem, but my wife's did (we bought our phones the same time and had updated both systems to the latest version of iTunes before trying to create ringtones). So in reading your post, I had an idea - I have McAffee virus protection on her laptop courtesy of Comcast.
So I rebooted the computer, disabled al virus and computer protection in McAfee, loaded up iTunes, bought a ringtone, and tried it again, and it all worked. We had previously sepnt hours trying all sorts of other things.
So give that a try - it could be your virus protection is blocking iTunes in some fashion. Hope it helps.

  • Ringtone help - "Terms of Service" wont come up when prompted

I have a couple purchased songs available to be made into ringtones already in my library, when i click the bell next to them i get a pop-up message that reads:
"Go to the iTunes Store Terms of Service
In order to purchase ringtones, you must review and accept the iTunes Store Terms of Service. Click OK to go to the iTunes Store Terms of Service."
So I click "OK" and....nothing happens. I've tried re-starting my iTunes, I've tried to manually find the terms of service (which I HAVE found, but it's just lead to a webpage that lists them out...nowhere to click and accept.) I have all current system updates downloaded and installed.
Basically every time I click the ringtone editor bell, i get this same message and nothing happens when I click "OK". Any ideas/help?
    Thanks in advance!

I found this on a different thread. It worked like a charm! Thanks Waltm!
Okay, I tracked down a solution. It's not in any of Apple's related FAQs (it should).
"I was having the same trouble as those posted here, and finally called iTunes Support. They told me that there is a "TOS loop" that happens on the first purchase of a ringtone from a song that is already in your library (in other words, you are repurchasing the tune to make a ringtone). Here is their work-around:
"Go to the iTunes home page, sign in, and download the FREE Single of the Week. There will be no charge. That will give you the prompt to "Accept the Terms of Service" window, which you should accept and click okay. Now go back to the music library window on your desktop, and select the song you want, and choose Create Ringtone. This time, because you've already purchased a new song for a ringtone, you won't get into the TOS loop, and you should see the WAV box at the bottom, which allows you to select and preview your ringtone, then click buy when you're ready."

  • Ringtones Help: Terms of Service?

When I try to make a song into a Ringtone a window pops up that says "In order to purchase ringtones, you must review and accept the iTunes Store Terms of Service. Click OK to go to the iTunes Store Terms of Service." When I click OK nothing happens and I've tried to figure out another way to get to the Terms of Service but I can't seem to find one. Anyone know how to get to the Terms of Service or how to enable it so I can make Ringtones?

  • Can't make Ringtone -Can't get to anywhere to agree to Terms of Service

I can't seem to be able to create a ringtone from a song I purchased with the express intent of creating my first ringtone.
I purchased a song on my iPhone a couple of days ago from which I would theoretically be able to create a ringtone. I synced my iPhone with my computer (iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core Duo running 10.5.1) this morning. I launched iTunes (7.6), saw my song there, clicked on the bell, and a pop-up window appeared telling me:
"In order to purchase ringtones, you must review and accept the iTunes Store Terms of Service. Click OK to go to the iTunes Store Terms of Service"
So, of course I click OK and .... nothing happens. The popup window goes away, but no Terms of Service appears. So I launch Safari, thinking that maybe I need to have it open. Go through the process again and ... nothing happens. So I go log into my iTunes account, and on the bottom of the account information I see a button for Terms of Service. I click on it, Safari opens the page, I see and review the terms of service.
But - there is NO way that I can agree to the Terms of Service. There is no button (and not even a broken link) for an "I accept" option.
So, how can I make my ringtone if I can't agree to the Terms of Service? Help!

    Thanks Nathan!
I just downloaded one of the freebies and got the Terms of Service with an "Accept" button.
The song I wanted to make a ringtone from I purchased on Jan. 30, after the new Terms of Service agreement. But I since I purchased it on my iPhone rather than my Mac, I didn't have to agree to anything. Still, I think Apple needs to fix something in iTunes, because I should have gotten the same screen when I tried to make a ringtone and it told me that I needed to accept the Terms.
But I have the ringtone editor now, so I'm happy.

  • How do I connect to the server to agree to terms of service for my IPhone on IOS7

I recently updated my IPhone 5 to IOS7 and I need to agree to the terms of service but I cannot connect to the server.  What should I do?

Sorry, you can't connect through the PC to enable internet on your BlackBerry.
That's why it has the wireless mobile radio and WiFi.

  • ITunes quits when I see the "terms of service changes" screen

I recently added two music files to my cart at the iTunes music store. When I tried to purchase them, I clicked on "Buy Now" at the cart screen. After a few seconds, iTunes presented me with a screen which detailed new changes in the terms of service. I have never been able to fully read through this information, however, because iTunes quits less than three seconds after I see this "changes" screen. I cannot go further; I cannot purchase music. Switching to One-Click payments is not effective--I still have to see the screen to go further, and then the program quits. I have the most recent version of iTunes. I have completed all my software updates.
I have seen a few other people on this forum with similar problems, and they apparently have yet to find a solution. The following is the error log information in its entirety. I copied it down when I clicked on the option to send an error report to Apple.
Perhaps a knowledgeable user can decipher this code and tell me what is wrong, so that I can fix it.

Yoono. I uninstalled Yoono and the problem went away. However, it does seem like a nice application since it brings all your social networks together in a column on the left side of the screen that are active while you can be doing something else like searching the web or reading your e-mail. When I'm in e-mail however, I want a fuller screen and when I try to collapse the Yoono column, I get that warning message and it won't allow me to.

  • TS4425 How do you agree to the latest iCloud Terms of Service if you don't have an iOS device only a Mac computer and an Apple TV with an iCloud account?

How do you agree to the latest iCloud Terms of Service if you don't have an iOS device only a Mac computer and an Apple TV with an iCloud account?

    Part 2
Thanks for the feedback Skhorchid.  Glad it worked for you too.
A bit later I discovered that Photo Stream was not working on my Windows 7 PC either.  If I opened the iCloud control panel and put a check in the box to turn on Photo Stream, and then closed and reopened the control panel, the check mark was gone again.  Also, nothing happened when I clicked on the options button beside the Photo Stream check box.  I already had version 2 of the iCloud control panel so I could not upgrade further.
I ended up uninstalling the iCloud control panel, rebooting, downloading a fresh copy from Apple, and reinstalling it.  This worked and I now have photo stream working on my Windows 7 system as well.

  • How can I accept the new icloud Terms of Service?

I just updated my Apple TV with the new software.  I can't see my photos in Photo Stream anymore.  I tried to update the Terms of Service on my iphone 4, but they don't pop up in settings-icloud.  I also tried to accept the Terms of Service by going to my icloud account and my manage my apple id page, but no luck.  Any suggestions on what to try next would be appreciated.  Thanks!

  • No matter how many times I start itunes on my pc I have to agree to the terms of service gain and when it does open my settings have all been changed.  why is it doing this and how can I satop it?  reinstalling does not fix it.

No matter how many times I start itunes on my pc I have to agree to the terms of service again and when it does open my settings have all been changed.  Why is it doing this and how can I stop it?  Reinstalling/repairing does not fix it.

McAfee AntiVirus by any chance? See the thread Why does iTunes delete my itunesprefs.xml?
Or it could be an issue with the SC Info folder. See TS1277 - iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization for details.
Or a repair install of iTunes from the Programs and Features control panel might fix the problem.

    Miscellaneous
The Terms are a complete statement of the agreement between you and Verizon, and set forth the entire liability of Verizon and your exclusive remedy with respect to your access and use of the Verizon Community. In the event of a conflict between these the Verizon Community Terms of Service and either the Verizon Privacy Policy or the Verizon Terms of Use applicable to Verizon, these Terms of Service prevail. The agents and employees of Verizon (including Moderators) are not authorized to make modifications to the Terms, or to make any additional representations, commitments, or warranties binding on Verizon. Any waiver of the Terms by Verizon must be in a writing signed by an authorized officer of Verizon and expressly referencing the applicable provisions of the Terms. Your privilege to use or access the Verizon Community may be terminated by Verizon immediately and without notice if you fail to comply with any of the Terms. Upon such a termination, you must immediately cease accessing or using the Verizon Community. If any provision of the Terms is invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, then it is to be, to that extent, deemed omitted, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force. The Terms do not limit any rights that Verizon may have under trade secret, trademark, copyright, patent, or other laws.

Looks to me (and I haven't been advised on changes) that this is a customer protection.  I don't know what the previous policy was, but this guarantees that if FiOS is no longer serviced in your area, you cannot be charged an early termination fee if there remains time left on your account.  It seems obvious that you wouldn't be he held responsible in such a case, but this is just putting it in writing.

  • Trying to open Photostream via Apple TV - it says Terms of Service have changed - but I go to /support/icloud and can no place to agree to new terms of service

I'm trying to open Photostream on AppleTV; the screen says Terms of Service have changed and go to /support/icloud.  I go there but can find no place to see the new terms of service and/or agree to them.

Go to You Tube and Watch How to Tech Video (h2tech) and there is a video that says "How to Connect Your Photostream.
I am getting that same comment about the terms of service have changed blah blah blah.
The second option you see that says use different account.  Try your icloud/photostream user id and password - should be the same as your main one.  At least mine is.
Anyway, try checking out the UTube videos...  Hope this helps.  I know how FRUSTRATING this stuff can be.  : )

You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud.  Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

-If you established a rescue email address, there will be a link on the "Passwords & Security" page of id.apple.com.  Clicking the link will send the reset to your rescue email address (NOTE:  This is not the same address as your Apple ID email)
-If there is no link on the page, then you didn't establish a rescue email address.  Contact AppleCare at 800.694.7466 (If you are in the US), and ask for account security.  You will need to answer some questions to verify your identity, AND you will need access to a computer to generate a temporary support pin.

  • Anyone else barely make it past Terms of Service?

I already had an Adobe ID, so, thought it'd be simple to get signed onto this new Cloud thing from Adobe.
First, it prompted me for my birthday.. no big deal.. I obliged.
Then, it showed me these "Terms of Service".. kinda looked like the common EULA stuff that everyone has to click through when installing any professional software package.. except.. there was no action buttons to click on.
I was using Chrome.. and kept waiting for the buttons to magically show up if I scrolled through all the terms of service.. thinking.. maybe it's one of THOSE installers - where they at least try to make you glaze over all the legal text.. but.. then.. I still saw no action buttons.
No "continue" .. no "next" no "Done" no "Finished" or anything.
Then - I had a sneaking suspicion that there was a web designer error in my UX.
I switched over to my IE9 (I don't know why.. it was just open) and tried to login to https//creative.adobe.com like I had been trying over in my Chrome browser.
No need to prompt for my birthday.. Adobe already had it.
It went straight for the "Terms of Service" pop-up. Boom!!!
There the buttons were.. a checkbox saying I agree and some other button allowing me to continue.
It was hard to make out what the buttons said, because they were eclipsed by the outer edge of the terms-of-service DIV container.
So.. it was a dead give-away.. the font size or the "overflow:hidden" property of some cascading style sheet --- combined with some web designer's mis-calculation is probably causing numerous headaches for the masses out there trying to get into Adobe's new offering.
I still have no idea how to "tell the webmaster" .. or anyone at Adobe about the issue I spotted.
I'm hoping this ridiculously verbose write-up of my experience will make it into official hands over there.. I'm sure they would like some more conversions into their new cloud-based venture.

OH GOOD! I tried Safari and Chrome and can't see the buttons and have been trying forever. Just about gave up and found this post by searching Google. Searching within Adobe's site landed me zero results that were helpful. I'll try downloading yet another browser, but it should NOT be this hard. I am unwilling to go beyond the trial until I have some sort of Cloud experience that does not result in pondering a suicide attempt.
Tried Opera...same problem. Decided to see if I could just get past that Terms of Service screen on my iPhone. That worked and when I went back to my computer I was able to access Creative Cloud.
