Ringtones are dull and can barely be heard

All Ringtones/alert tones should be optimized so that they operate at 24 bit sound which makes any ringtone or alert tone operate at the highest audio standards available because I have downloaded two ringtones and one alert tone that sounded good from the iTunes store but then when put on my iPhone 6 and then put into use they all sounded sub-par and dull, plus I have the volume up to its max. Therefore, I would expect more from Apple as they are known for their premium products and the highest standards in the industry so that problems such as this should not occur, because I would not want to exchange my new iPhone 6 for a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Yes, it's driving me nuts. I get a TON, a ton of calls for business and I'm missing them all the time now.

I had changed my password in the first spot, but not the second spot. I had been receiving the same error message. This fixed my problem.

Have you been using your phone as recommended? If so, you've been importing photos in your camera roll onto your computer for safe keeping. Just as you would with a standalone digital camera. Your photos would then reside safely on your computer for archival.
While camera roll photos ARE part of the backup, not everything always goes smoothly as you've seen, which is why the recommendation to import photos as soon as possible to your computer.
If you have a recent backup of your iPhone, you can restore and hopefully many of your photos will be on this backup. Any photos or data added to your phone since this last backup are, of course, gone forever.

Those are outdated iPod software updaters which can be safely deleted.

Connect the device to your computer.
Open iTunes.
Select iPhone, iPad, or iPod in the Devices list.
Click the Summary tab and select "Manually manage music and videos".
Click Apply.
Even when you have enabled manual management, you can still sync some content automatically. Select any content tab, such as Video, to enable automatic syncing for that type of content.

Photos placed in muse are dull and colors are off

When I place a picture from photoshop into adobe muse the image looks dull and the colors are off from the original photo. I am saving the image in photoshop to a jpeg and then placing into adobe muse. Any suggestions?

In Photoshop chose Edit > Convert to profile. Here you can change the profile to sRGB and thake a preview of the result before apply the profile to your photo.

I just noticed that all my ringtones are the same for everyone that calls in. I have downloaded a few music ringtones & also use some of the ones off iPhone itself but I never use "Marimba" & that's what all my calls are coming in as. What the heck??

restart the phone and check if your selections are selected.
If still not right, reset by pressing home button and off button at the same time for about 10 sec
Then check again.
If no help, restore!

Updated to 10.4.1 and can't see the menu titles or the song names, even though they are there and can be played. the other categories (tv, apps, etc) seem to be OK.

i just upgraded my pc to windows 7 and itunes to 10.4.1, but i can't see the menu items at the top left of itunes. they are there, because if i move my mouse over the area where they should be, i see and can select from the drop down menus. this problem also affects my music library; i cannot see the individual song names/artists/etc, but if i double click on the blank line it does play the song. the app library and video library seem OK, only the music library is a problem. also, when i connect my iphone, it recognizes it, but the main screen for my device has no words on it, just a picture of the phone.

Hi, Sanjiv - My son fixed this problem for me by showing me that in addition to the visible volume slider at the top left of the iTunes window you also need to pull down the blue airplay menu right alongside that volume slider (the little blue box with the triangle). When you pull down that menu you will see volume settings for "computer" which controls the built-in speakers, plus a list of the other external speakers you may have set up using Airport. When I did that I saw that the volume on "computer" was right down at zero levl even though the main iTunes slider was at full level. When I selected the "computer" under "single" or "multiple" options and adjusted the volume it came back up. It worked for me, I hope it solves your issue too. Best, John.

Screen Grab Colours are dull and don't match original.

I'm running photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64 bit.
A quick technique I use is to do screen grabs of what I'm working on rather than saving and opening a jpeg.
I do this with alt+print screen. It's worked fine until a few days ago I noticed that the colours were really dull
and didn't match what I had in the original PSD.
When this happens I don't leave Photoshop or the screen I'm working on. I'm doing a screen grab of the
design I'm working on already in Photoshop.
I would expect this if I was grabbing from a different screen or app that perhaps used a different colour
profile but I can't figure out why this is happenign natively within only Photoshop.
I guess something must have changed in some obscure colour management document that is stashed
away in a corner of my hard drive that I have no chance of finding.
Does anybody know why this is happening and what I need to do to fix it? I've been using this technique
for years and it's only now that I discover this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

What kind of monitor do you have?
Is it specifically capable of showing its display with the sRGB gamut (you'll likely have to look in the technical specs for that)?
It is possible to set up a system where the monitor color profile is sRGB (basically, the Windows default), and at that point the colors from non-color-managed applications and those from color-managed applications showing sRGB images will match exactly.
The trick is getting the monitor to show a very good semblance of the sRGB color space, so what you're seeing is proper color. But it's doable.
I assume you're calibrating/profiling your monitor with some device now. What device?

Upgraded to iOS 5.0 and can't be heard

I upgraded to the new iOS 5.0 and now anyone I call or who calls me can't hear me. The phone worked fine before the upgrade.

Have not heard of this being an issue...have you made sure that the mute button hasn't been accidently activated during calls? Can you be heard if you place the call on speaker or if you use a headset? It's possible that your microphone is faulty if speaker and/or headset use can be heard. Also, if you haven't already try restarting your iPhone, resetting, or restoring to see if it helps.

Other content is typically miscellaneous data used by applications you have installed - could be save data (e.g. for games), or documents you've created. There's no easy way to determine precisely what it is, but the only way to clear it is to either delete it from within the respective application, or remove the associated application altogether - neither of which are typically practical.

All invisibles are rectangles, and can't change color in prefs. Que pasa?

Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? All invisibles are superscript rectangles and I can't change the invisibles color in Pages General Preferences.
I bought, then installed, the serial number over the '09 trial today. This is the first time I've seen this problem. So I reinstalled iWork. Same problem.
This did not come up in the trial, nor in '08.
Do I need to trash the prefs?
I can't work without invisibles, so this is really annoying.

I haven't heard about the problem either so we have to start somewhere.
Have you restarted your computer lately?
Start with deleting the com.apple.iwork.pages.plist from the User > Library > Preferences. Pages will create a new plist file. If you have the same problem in Keynotes and Numbers delete the plist files too.
If it doesn't work you can delete the iwork'09 folder in Macintosh HD > Library > Application support. Reinstall iWork and add the serial number again.
Create a new account (System preferences > Accounts) and try Pages in that account. does it work?
