Ringtones show and work under change ringtone, but missing in change alert tones...user created tones

I created ringtones with the Ringtone Converter App. After syncing my iphone 4s (running ios7.1) with itunes and going into my setting/sounds/alert tones the ringtones i created are not there. When I go into settings/sounds/ringtones they are there and they work fine. Is this a problem with ios 7.1 or my phone? any help would be great! Thanks...

In Settings > Sounds > Ringtones > at the top are your custom ringtones.
In Settings > Sounds > Calendar/Reminder Alerts > your custom ringtones should be there when you scroll down.
If not, it means your custom ringtones are too long (> 28 secs.) You have to shorten it.

You can call AppleCare and request a replacement set of the original DVD's that shipped with the computer for a nominal charge. You will need the serial number (look on the bottom of the stand) and a credit card. Click the AppleCare Contact Info link. Without knowing which iMac you have it's very difficult to say if a new SL disc would work or not.

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

Contact the developer of the App.
Just because an app is updated does not mean it should visually change, the update could simply be bug fixes.

Call mum and dad are in the contact of yourself.
You have to manually add it back or if you have contacts in your computer addressbook, you can sync them back.

Or because the episodes are video but are in a format which plays on iTunes but not on an iPod Touch. Only the originator of the podcast can do anything about that.

I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the mislabelled item. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.

Application worked under Adminstrator account but won't work under standard

I wanted to setup the Toontown Launcher application for my son under his "standard user" account. But the application only works when I log in as an administrator, it won't work when my son log in as a standard user. It said "Cannot run application from this location. Copy app to desktop." I tried to copy it to desktop but it still won't work with same error message. FYI, I did not turn on Parent Control for the standard user account. Anybody knows why? I'm new to Mac and am pulling my hair out trying to fix this!!! Thanks for reading.

Most apps for a Mac are just drag & drop, although some require installers. Those that do usually have uninstallers. I've never used a 3rd-party uninstaller in 25 years of using Macs, so can't comment on them. With all due respect I think you are missing my point.
I'm aware that on Apple devices bought in UAE these apps are blocked and theres nothing that can be done there. My device is bought in the UK so it has Facetime and it worked fine.
I know categorically that iMessage works in Dubai without issue for almost everyong I know on an iPhone, I also know from seeing it that Facetime + VPN works as this gives your device a UK IP.
My question is not the obtaining of these apps but why even with a VPN mine are not working when others in Dubai are?

Trying to play the tv shows and movies on my ipod but no video comes out?

i have downloaded some tv shows, podcasts and movies off of itunes and when i put them on my ipod they do not show a picture. its just sound. what am i doing wrong? i dont think its a conversion thing since they play on itunes...
why wont the videos show but the sound plays?

I have the opposite issue. I play my tv shows and movies on itunes off my computer but all I get is the audio. The picture shows up in flashes every couple of times but does not stay on. I have the most recent Itunes (7.6.1)available and am running Windows Vista. Any help available?

Applets work under older compilers, but not newest

The applets I compile using the latest release of javac (with the JDK 1.4 package) work in the appletviewer but not in IE 6.0. However, if I use an older version of javac from a couple years ago (not sure the version), the applets work in IE suddenly. Is there something I need to install in IE to make it compatible with the Sun 1.4 javac compiler? Should I just reinstall the JRE? Has anyone heard of this before? Thanks!!

You could try installing the Java 1.4 plugin.

No Voicemail But Missed Call Text Alert

Hi EE, I'm new to EE, previously I've been on Vodafone and O2. With them I always had a feature where I revieved missed call text alerts when ever my phone was unavailable with no signals either in Underground Tube, Indoors or if the phone was swithced off without having to activate voicemail. Do you have anything similar or can you please provide such feature at your earliest. Thanks.

Yes, EE do have this, but I think you do need your voicemail enabled to allow this as the setting to switch this on or off is in the voicemail settings menus.

Slide show not working under Snow Leopard

Keynote 4.0.4 under OS X 10.6.1 on an early 2009 Mac Mini can't run slideshow. The console gives this error:
9/21/09 11:19:01 AM Keynote[9821] Caught exception NSInvalidArgumentException in fullscreen setup (* -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value (key: NSFont))
This also happens for keynote/preferences/presenter display/Edit Presenter Layout...
It does not matter what keynote presentation I run--I can even create a new one. Slideshow always dies the same way.
Oddly enough, my 2008 MBP with Keynote 4.0.3 runs slideshow just fine.
Any ideas what to do?

I have had the same issue. I had a bunch of networks that were familiar to me. Ever since I left my original network, there has been a huge issue with connecting to the Airport.
When I try to connect, I get an exclamation point over the wireless logo. When I click it, it says: "Alert: No Internet Connection". When in Network settings, it says "Self-assigned IP" or "No assigned IP" (I forget).
I then go through the Network Diagnostics. Sometimes it says I have Airport Settings, sometimes it says it has failed. Sometimes I have Network Settings, sometimes that has failed. Needless to say, the last two, Internet and Server are always failed.
I restarted both the Airport and my computer, in itself. Nothing seemed to work.
But after only 5 or six tries in the Diagnostics, the colors started changing over and over again until it turned green. It seemed to have fixed itself within a half hour of just going back and forth on the Diagnostic wizard.
I now have Wireless again with my router that has always worked before with other devices. It was bizarre however when I plugged in my Ethernet, that the wireless said it had internet. Or at least until I unplugged the Ethernet again.
Either way, an update is desperately needed... it just seems buggy.
