Rip the audio track off a dvd

I am learning Spanish and would like to the take the entire sound track off a Spanish movie and turn it into an mp3 so m I could play to listen to it on my ipod shuffle.  I just want to listen to the track when I am cleaning.  I don't need any visual.
Does anyone know how to do this?
Thanks.

You may be able to find out who actually performed the music score on the video and then get a download of that song for use in a music player... for a usual customary fee, plus profit. Knowing who made the music does open up other possibilities, though probably not video-length in duration, unless there is a soundtrack available. Maybe to contact the company whose name is on the video and ask if they have access to the soundtrack you can buy, & see what they say.
{The original WireTap software years ago was handy in saving small files from the dialup internet that sometimes would go away or never be found again; or to make backups of sound to keep in the computer of noise within reach of a microphone attached to the computer. The old version could do little else, for free.}
Good luck & happy computing!

  • How to display the name of the audio tracks on a dvd player?

Hi, I use DVD studio pro to make a dvd with a video track and two audio tracks. One is for stereo and the other is for 5.1 surround, in the same language (A1 and A2) . Is it possible to set the stream language in the way that on the display of the dvd player appear the name of the audio stream: stereo or surround?
    Thanks in advance,

Nope, not somehting authoring in DVD SP can do.
I have not heard of it, but maybe some players have a feature to show info there (?) would be cool to have that as a feature to show info there

You appear to be having a hardware problem. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of your nearest Apple Store to get a diagnosis.

  • When burning iso with disk utility, the audio is off!

I have an ISO file that works fine when I mount it or watch it on VLC.   If I burn it using windows (in parallels) it is fine...
But when I burn it with disk utility, the audio is off by a second or so.  I can't figure this out since it is a disk image.  there shouldn't be a way to dissociate the audio.  I did have a previous version of the iso file that was off..  Is it possible that I am trying to burn an iso file and it is burning a mounted version from before (even though I am choosing this from the finder?)
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
I though macs just work.  Seems a bit more complicated.

I don't recall for sure about "disk utility" and DVD and/or Bluray. It seems to me that Toast is usually used.

  • How do I seperate the audio track from the video and save it to a CD in Premiere Elements 13?

How do I seperate the audio track from the video and save it to a CD in Premiere Elements 13?

    Binbashi
You can separate the audio track from video and save it to a DVD disc within Premiere Elements but not a CD disc.
To do save to the audio to DVD disc, you do not have to separate linked audio video, just use the export Publish+Share/Computer/Audio and set Presets to the wanted format (AAC, AIFF, MP3, or Windows Waveform (WAV).
You will not see Audio in the choices since it is at the bottom of the list of choices under Publish+Share/Computer/. You will need to use the thin scroll bar to the right of the choices to scroll to it.
If you need information on selective export of Timeline content when dealing with more than just this one file on the Timeline, please let us know. If you are trying to produce a CD for listening in car or CD player elsewhere, please let us know.
Looking forward to learning of your results.
    Thank you.

  • IDVD 6 - No audio track on burned DVD?

Ive run into a problem with iDVD 6.0...The project I’m working on was created in iMovie, and then ported to iDVD for final editing and burning. While running the project in the preview mode of iDVD, everything is fine – menus, content, etc. Encoding/burning was uneventful, taking forever on my old G4, but completing successfully. The problem is that when I play the created DVD, there is no audio content to the chapters. However chapter selection screen does have the audio track I added, and does play.
Not sure where I went wrong, as everything is OK in preview mode from within iDVD. The lack of audio on playback occurs in any DVD player, so it leads me to believe something’s missing from the burned disk.
Any thgouts/insite would be greatly appreciated

Are you using iTunes purchased music? If so, it is a known problem. See last post on this thread for a workaround.

    Other things to try
Use a good brand DVD-R like Verbatim or Maxcell
Save project as a disk image
Burn disk image to DVD by using Disk Utility
    Burn at 2x speed
    Hope this helps

  • Audio Track off sync after importing RAW Materials to Premiere

    English:
Hi there i have the following problem in Premiere pro cc:
    I record Let's Play Videos via Nvidea-Shadowplay in 1080p / 60 fps / 30.000 kbps
I checked the material in VLC-Player and everything is fine.
Now i drag and drop the File in Adobe Premiere CC and the Audio track seems to be off sync.
This differs. Sometimes the Audio seems to be beheind, and in other cases it is a to early.
This is a serious issue for me, because it leads to lot of post-production in audio tewaking to fix this.
I have no Idea how to fix this,  because the RAW Material i recorded works perfect, but the file is to big
    to put on youtube, ofc.

What you're running into is variable frame rate (VFR) video.  ShadowPlay and any other app that uses nVidia's hardware h.264 encoders will produce MP4 files that are VFR.  Premiere Pro doesn't handle VFR vids very well at all; it's designed to handle constant frame rate (CFR).
To fix this, you'll want to transcode your MP4 files using something like Handbrake over to CFR versions.  I've never used Handbrake for this, but I know others here have to great success.  Search for phrases like "VFR" and "variable frame rate" and you should find a bunch of results.
I solved this using the ffmpeg command line application, which you can search for and download from various places.
    ffmpeg -i <input.mp4> -hide_banner -vsync 1 -crf 19 -r 59.94 -vcodec libx264 -preset ultrafast -g 50 -acodec copy <output.mp4>
If you'd rather use a GUI, then check out Handbrake or other tools.

Is there another way to adjust tempo of loops the faster way, any other technique?

No clue why the final processes have suddenly started to take so long. Two things I'd try: a) capture from an older tape to see if some problem with the new tape is at fault.  And b) check the health of your RAM and the hard drive.
The red frame sounds a bit like a glitch we used to have in OnLocation (actually in its predecessor HDV Rack) which was caused by a partial GOP. But that was a product of HDV Rack recording from the live video stream. It turned out that HDV cameras intentionally interrupt the data stream for an instant upon starting to record--specifically to avoid recording a partial GOP to tape. So my gut says that the tape has partial GOPs at the points where you stopped/started recording.

    Hi Brian,
Thanks restoring and restarting didn't fix my problem - i have started it fresh and still it doesn't work. Basically I press ONCE on the remote, after the machine has not had any commands for 10 minutes, and the cursor skips from one end of the menu to the other - so I can't choose network or update software etc - I sometimes manage to stop it randomly in the middle of the menu if I press on a command in the middle of the cursor skipping all the menu steps...not sure what the problem is but I have basically not used my brand new apple tv since I bought it for that reason! I should call Apple support I suppose! grrrr hate wasting time with stuff like this!
    Thanks for your help though!

  • Can I  rip the audio from a video file?

I have a video file with a band singing on it. I have an ipod nano, so I can't import the video with the singing onto my ipod. Is there anyway to rip the audio from the video file and put that onto my ipod?
    -Thanks

Open the video in Quicktime Player.
    Select the Export menu item.
Change the Export type to "Sound to Wave".
Save the WAV file somewhere with the default settings.
Load the WAV file into iTunes and use iTunes to convert it to AAC for the Nano.

  • Can I open a second Source Monitor for the audio track of a video?

I really dislike having to switch to the audio waveform in the Source Monitor pane when I want to tinker with a clip's audio track. I usually try to stay away from needing to use a panes drop down menu as much as possible. Is there a way to get this in a different window?
    Using CS6

You cant tinker with the audio track in the Source Monitor. Apart from IN and Out Point setting.
Normally one would expand the audio track in the time line...zoom in/out to suit and maybe use the tilde shortcut  key to view it all full screen.

  • Where is the audio track in a dvdproj file?

I have a number of old iDVD projects stored on hard disc that I need to convert to a useable format.  I've been able to find the MPEG compressed video files by right-clicking on the .dvdproj bundle and opening the Contents/Resources/MPEG.nobackup folder, but the files have no audio track.  Where is the audio track stored?

Unless you've created an archive iDVD project file the audio is only linked to the project from wherever you kept the files when creating the project.
