Ripple delete is grayed out

it seems interemittant how do I activate it?

Yeah it must be something obvious, as sometimes I can do ripple delete, and sometimes I can't, in the same track.

I am trying to delete D2G. In Desktop Manager/add&remove applications if I select ‘Documents to Go’ in the list of applications thedelete button is grayed out. I am of the impression DataViz requests the oldapplication (and all modules) be removed from the device and the computer (Ican’t use the OTA option). Theyrecommend to remove D2G from the device, let it reboot, then delete D2G from thecomputer. It doesn’t matter if D2G is removed from the device or not, when Iselect it in Desktop manager the delete key is grayed out. The delete key is grayed out if Ichoose other applications too.
Why is the delete key grayed out? If I remove D2G from the device, how canI remove D2G from the computer, before I install the update? Can I delete it from thecomputer manually?

My discussions with BB this morning say that applications installed during a device OS upgrade can not be deleted individually. Let me say you can remove them from the device individually, but not DeskTop Manager. You have to delete the file installed via the .zip file downloaded with the device OS update via Windoze's add/delete programs control panel. BB support says it should have a name "BlackBerry Handheld device code v.XXX", but I could not find such an application to remove, only DeskTop Manager. Talking to BB support they say the delete key is always grayed out.

Okay I can't for the life of me find the keyboard shortcut for this but it must be possible, can someone help me out?
I just want to ripple delete what I've marked between in and out.

I have many unrecognized certificates in my System Roots area and in Certificates. I searched the web to see how to delete them. The 'delete' option under 'File' is grayed out.
Is there something I'm missing?
Many of these certificates have slightly unusual names i.e. DoD CLASS 3 Root CA
Thawte Personal Freemail (at least 15 from Thawte Personal *
Also when I initially opened Keychain it crashed and produced what would be equiv to a stack dump..
So far I'm not impressed with this new MacBook Pro and the security as I also seem to have some kind of malware that no one can seem to help figure out what it is or how to get rid of.. (including Sophos or ClamVox)
Would really appreciate some help.

Unrecognized by you or a certificate authority? It's rarely a good idea to be deleting Certificates in any case.
Yes, the lock in the upper right hand corner, but unless you have established a root password, you won't be able to unlock it. Your not supposed to mess with things in System Roots.

There is nothing unusual about those names. I only have 6 Thawte Personal *'s.

Try selecting "Keychain First Aid" from the Keychain Access menu.

Can not get Document recovery to stop trying to recovery a deliberately deleted file. Delet is grayed out.

A Word 2007 file was permenantly deleted and now Document Recovery tries to restore it. When I try to "save as" or "open" I get the message that the file can't be found. I have tried regedit to empty the Document Recovery. There is one file that remains
that I can't delete. I have turned off auto save under the Save tab and Allow background saves under the Advanced tab. There are 8 people that access the server. I've gone in and done the same thing for each of them. Shut down the server and brought it up.
Nothing has helped. The operating system is 2003 Server.

Undo redo cut copy paste delete are GRAYED out in mozilla

I chose to download a mpg file. It reads as a .mov after download. Shouldn't QT work? Or is it not really a .mov file?<<</div>
It is downloaded as an mpeg file but when you used the browser plug-in you apparently chose "Save as Quicktime Movie." That puts a QT or .mov wrapper around the file. If you choose "Save as Source." the downloaded file should be saved exactly as the file was on the sending site.
Even though the file may have a .mov icon it is still an mpeg inside the QT wrapper. QT will not support the editing of the file or allow the export of sound to any new format. QT Mpeg Limitations

Uh oh... are sync locks/ripple delete busted?

What am I missing here? I pre-assembled a timeline by dropping whole, untrimmed clips into tracks V1 and A1 based on timecode references given to me by my client. I then dropped the scratch voiceover track on A2, and began to ripple trim the V1 clips to fit the VO. The sync locks are turned on for V1/A1 and turned off for A2 so that the VO stays put. So far, so good. However, if I happen to leave a space between an outgoing clip and an incoming clip, and right-click in the space to select Ripple Delete, the rather unexpected happens: instead of completely extracting the empty space and sucking in the following clips, only part of the space is extracted and the clips are only moved partially toward the end of the outgoing clip. I can continue to Ripple Delete and the trailing clips move along incrementally until they finally meet up with the preceeding clips, but that's a total speed killer. The Sync Locks are working, I guess, but there seems to be some sort of bug in Ripple Delete, almost like it's pretending that the sync lock is turned on for A2.

Any thoughts about this, or anyone experiencing the same thing? I'm pretty sure that what I'm expecting to happen, should be happening, due to the sync locks.

OK, the forum's not letting me edit my post, so here's some more information:
I think this is definitely a bug. If I delete the two "razored" VO clip pieces that you see right before the CTI in the screenshots, then Ripple Delete works just as it should. If the edits are there, however, it doesn't work. If I add an edit to the VO clip using the Razor or Ctrl+K, then Ripple Delete is grayed out; if I Undo the edit, the Ripple Delete works again.

Got it fixed! The Folder was set to Open With Terminal!
Maybe when you moved it over from your other system, the Open With got changed? To change this, in your Finder, select the iPhoto library from your User/Pictures folder and do a Get Info on it Command+I.
Then change the Open With to iPhoto application!
Then from the Finder, double click the iPhoto Folder and it will be opened with iPhoto! WALLA it worked!

Purchased song grayed out and can not delete

I purchase a song and received a permission error. I clicked OK and assumed the download completed. I then purchase another song. There was no error message. Both songs appear in my Music and Purchase folders but the first song is grayed out with an exclamation mark in the first column. I tried to download it again and received a warning message saying I had already downloaded it and a second download would result in a duplicate. I tried to delete the grayed out download and could not.

No available downloads under Store>Check for Available Downloads, but I found a "Download" folder under the "Store" folder. Clicked on that and selected resume and the download completed. The Downloaded folder the disappeared. All is well.

I have synced my iPhone 4S with iTunes and I got an error while copying one movie. Now this movie shows up grayed out in videos on the iPhone but NOT in iTunes. Hence, I cannot delete this partially copied movie from my iPhone. And since it is grayed out, the right-to-left swipe does not work. I have resynced with "no movies" option so that every movie would be deleted and indeed every movie was deleted except for the problematic one. I rebooted the iPhone several times in case it was a glitch. No success. I even tried tools like iExplorer and DiskAid but I cannot find this **** file. Is there any way to delete this partially copied file from the iPhone without having to restore it?

You can only watch the movie on the device you rented it on. Here's a snippet from the Apple Support site (italics mine):
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

How do I delete my old iCloud ID when it is "grayed" out

My iCloud ID is for my old email address that is no longer used as my Apple ID and has been deleted from the account due to it being my old work email.
When I started with my brandnew iPhone 5 yesterday it automatically linked my old iCloud ID and will no longer work until I type in the passowrd
As it is not linked to my apple ID there is no passowrd, but I cannot delete the ID from my phone and use cloud until it is typed in.
where the iCloud ID is in my phone is "grayed" out so I cannot delete it.
Any Ideas?

In the menu Shopping cart Status, I could able to see all the shopping cart.
Now the requierment is , DELETE button should be disable/gray out if there is any corresponding PO for that SC.
Please let me know how to do this. I tried with BADI BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI. But this will hide alll the SC's irrespective of PO's.
Please let me know any other way to do this?

Can't delete grayed-out DNS server addresses

I want to replace two grayed-out DNS server addresses from the Network panel (under the DNS tab in "Advanced…"), to replace them with OpenDNS settings. But they can't be selected/deleted. How do I get around this problem?

That is correct - those are provided by your router and can not be deleted - you can add Open DNS servers (click the + sign) or log into the router admin page (I recommend this way) and have your router use the Open DNS servers fro everything on your network (this will change the grayed out ones)

I think I figured out how to fix it-
I found that if I only delete a small amount at the beginning and at the end of the section that I want to remove - and then highlight that section - Then (and only then) does the "Delete and Move" function work to remove the unwanted section and automatically close the gap between the surrounding sections. I was trying to select a whole section and could only delete it - and then manually move it.
Problem solved.

If a reset didn;t work, then you can try restoring your iPad. Don't restore from a back up because if there is a glitch with restrictions, it will just set that option up again. Of if you are sure you have a backup created before you changed restrictions settings, then you can back up from that.
