RL and RLL Delivery type

Hi All,
In other threads, I have seen that the delivery  type RL is used in Movement type 161 ( Returns to Vendor with reference to a Purchase Order )
and delivery type RLL is used in movement type 122 ( Return delivery to Vendor without reference to PO ).
But how does one create a delivery with a 122 movement type ? I thought that if we use MIGO Return Delivery and refer the Goods Receipt material document (101 movement type), the stock gets reduced automatically from our location. There is no delivery being created here. Is there a way to create a delivery using 122 movement type ? If so, how is it to be done ?
Sathya

Hey Sathya,
I am sorry for respondng late but I can see that this thread is not answered yet.
Scenario 1 - When you are returning goods with  MIGO Return Delivery and refer the Goods Receipt material document (101 movement type), then there is a BOX - Via Delivery. If you tick that box then system will post a Outbound delievery and DO NOT post material document and stock still be there in your premises. When you go to VL02N and pick the quantity and do the PGI then system will post automatically a material document of movement type 122.
Scenario 2 - If you are going to return the goods with PO and ticking returns button in that. In that case you can create a outbound delivery via VL10B and then do the picking adn PGI. IN this case system will post material document of movement type 161.
Hope it helps you.

  • Difference between RL and RLL delivery

    Can anybody suggest me:
What is difference between RL and RLL delivery created for PO
And what's the use of these

    Hi,
RL - Delivery Type used for Vendor Return w.r.t. Return PO (i.e. PO with 'Return' indicator and MvT 161)
RLL - Delivery Type for Return to Vendor in MIGO with option Return Delivery --> Material Document (GR Doc) with MvT 122
Go to T Code - 0VLK and check field 'Order required' for Delivery Types RL and RLL

  • Return del to vendor- How delivery type determination

    Hi All,
When i am creating return delivery to vendor in MBRL transaction code with reference to Material document, the system is creating delivery with RLL document type, want to understand how the system is determining RLL document type for 122 movement type vendor return delivery.
Do we have any assignment for delivery doc.type determination like how we have PO returns delivery.
    Thanks in advance!

Got the solution from SAP note 359247, we need to do the configuration as suggested in this Note.
    The steps are:
    1. You must add an entry to the domain fixed value for the domain DLVTP: Fixed value RL. Short text: Return delivery to vendor - this is already available in ECC 6
    2. Use transaction SM31 to maintain the view V_156Q_VC. Go to movement type 122 and change the delivery category from OD to
RL for all entries with movement type 122.
    3. Use transaction SM31 to maintain the view V_156Q_VC. Go to movement type 161 and change the delivery category from OD to
RL for all entries with movement type 161.
If we complete setp2, the system will determine RLL delivery type which is correct.

  • One Delivery Type, Many Invoice Types

We have a peculiar invoicing configuration where we just use one sales order type (PCRE) and one delivery type (ECRE) and many invoice types, one for each plant, my problem its that for the last plant we must be missing a configuration since when creating a new invoice (VF01) SAP by default suggest an outdated invoice type (I am erasing it from VTFL next) but since this is also entered with the rest of the plants where we do not have problem I am wondering where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery when the delivery type its the same for all the plants?
in other words: how does SAP knows the correct invoice type since the delivery type and sales type are the same for every plant, since only our invoices are different for each plant?
I have been looking here unsuccessfully: VTLA , VTFL, VTFA, V/54, OVL3 and others.
    Thank you and Best Regards,
    Carlos

where can I find link between Invoice Type and delivery
In VTFL only, you can find a link between your delivery type and billing type.  If multiple billing types are there for one delivery type, you have two options.  Either you have to key in manually in VF01 or VF04 or go for billing exit USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE (Module pool SAPLV60A, program RV60AFZZ).  Nevertheless, you should have copy control for all those billing types against that delivery type in VTFL.

    Hi,
Please maintain the copy control for the Billing document and the delivery type (Txn Code -> VTFL)
You should use IV billing type for Intercompany invoice against delivery type NLCC.
    Reward point if this helps.

  • Automatic determination of Delivery type and Billing type in a sales order

    Hi,
I want to know that in a sales order cycle, how does automatic assignment of delivery type and billing type takes place after we create a sales order?
For example, when I create an outbound delivery for a sales order of type normal (OR) then in that case how does the system knows that it has to create an outbound delivery of type LF.How does the system propses it automatically and same is the case of billing document.

    Hi
In customising the sales document type (Tcode VOV8) -
specify the default Delivery type in the field DELIVERY TYPE in the 'Shipping' area of the sales document type customisation.
Similarly you can specify the billing type in the BILLING area for both Delivery related billing and Order related billing.

  • Delivery type "LB" and MRP

    Hi All
I work on the APO side and iam not thorough with MM . I have a question about the subcontracting scenario .
We provide components to the subcontractor who then makes the finished products and ships them to our plant. Let us assume we have a subcontracting requirement for 100 CS. We now create a delivery (ME2o)  to the subcontractor for 100 CS ( delivery type LB) .  When we look at MD04 the delivery created for 100 CS is not offsetting the subcontracting requirement of 100 CS.  So we now have a demand of 100 + 100  = 200 CS  which is actually not the case.  Is this a standard SAP behaviour ?
I believe whenever we issue goods to the vendor the stock at subcontractor location (MatSub) increases and the dependent demand gets offset by stock at subcontractor location .  But why doesnt a delivery to the vendor offset the dependent demand ? Please help
    Thanks

When I create a PO with a BP02 supplier and the BP01 I do not get any message.
How can I fix it ?

1)Create one Customer for Supplying Plant Sales area and assign this Customer no with Receiving Plant in OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO -
    > define Shipping Data for plants. and maintain the same sales area in your Supplying plant.
    2) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO.....for your Document Type: UB and Suppying plant Combination assign Del. Type NL and Checking rule RP
    3) In OLME---> PO -
    > Set up STO...for your Supplying Plant and Receiving Plant combination Maintain Doc. Type : UB
Make sure you are maintaining Sales View for your Material at Supplying Plant.
    4) Maintain Shipping point at, SPRO----> Logistics Execution -
    > Shipping -
    > Basic Shipping Functions -
    > Shipping Point Determination for Plants.....there for your Loading group,Shipping Condition, Shipping Plant combination maintain Shipping plant..
Now Create STO in ME21N with Doc.type: UB at Receiving Plant.
Then Create Delivery in VL10B from Supplying Plant...
Then Do PGI in VL02N from supplying Plant.
Then do GR at Receiving Plant based on Outbound Delivery at Receiving Plant...

If ZSTD is a copy of UB type PO, then you need to provide the plant number as the supplier. The delivery type can be configured in the following path
Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Set up Stock Transport Order -> Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule
Copy and existing record and maintain the combination of your PO type (ZSTD), supplying plant (6110) and delivery type (NL). Leave the others the same.
