RLines of stuck pixel on GT780R screen

I have a lot of stuck pixel lines on my MSI GT780R.
They are not dead and when connecting the PC on another screen they don't appears.
1/5 to 2/5 of my screen is hidden. Is there a way to recover them?
Look like I am not the only one with that problem:

Can anyone advise on the following; I recently left my GT780 shut down and unused for a month while I was away. On return and boot up I have noticed that I have very fine "pixel" lines across the top of my screen - approx 5 of them. I think they are slowly increasing in number
They do not affect  the laptop operation at this point, and depending on the background or programme running they are sometimes almost not visible. They also appear to range in colour - , not totally all the same colour there are bits of various colours along the line. Each line appears to be identical.
Has there been some of upgrade that would have loaded in the background when I first rebooted on return?
Anyone got any ideas or is my screen dying?? This is the best laptop I have ever owned. It is approx 18 months old. Running Win 7pro.

It's probably your LCD going bad to be honest. There won't be anything you can do to fix it other than replacing the whole LCD panel.

I have da stuck pixel on my screen. On my iphone5. What can I do?

Hi! Sorry for the late reply.
You could go back to Verizon, though it's highly likely they might send it away for repair. If you go into an Apple Retail Store instead they tend to do everything on the spot.
Not entirely sure with Verizon's options (Im in Australia) but can only give it a try

  • Hp veer stuck pixels?

I have a new veer that i got off from someone unlocked over ebay. A few weeks i reboot the phone and notice that theres around 8-10 stuck pixels on the screen. I tried looking for a way to get it fixed over warranty, but it only gives a phone number to AT&T, which I dont have. Is there a way i can get the warranty for my phone over the stuck pixels?
    thanks!

You can call webOS tech support at 877-426-3777 to get a repair or replacement set up. If this device has been modified for another carrier it will be restored back to AT&T defaults including it being locked to AT&T.

  • IPhone 5 stuck pixels

i have 3 stuck pixels on my screen. Can i use my warranty for this?
what is the policy of Apple about the stuck pixels?
    Thanks

    Hi there,
I had my iphone in my pocket yesterday when I was in the workshop at college. I was in a car and my leg got wedged by the steering wheel, the leg with the iphone in the pocket. Checking it after, the phone was fine and is protected by a leather case. Later on, I was in my car using my phone to play music. I noticed a little cluster of greyish pixels. Thought not much of it, as it's a second hand iphone and is out of warranty, but this morning, (after my partner threw my phone across the room onto the bed), there are now lines travelling a long the screen from this small cluster.
I'm not sure whether they're dead or not. I would rather have apple look at it, but I want to know how expensive it is to get a screen repair, or whether it worth paying for a whole recondition phone.
Not having luck the past two months with phones. If I get a new one, it'll be my third.

  • Macbook pro retina dead/stuck pixel and warranty question

So here's the situation.  A couple of weeks ago I brought my macbook pro 15'' retina into the apple store because the speakers were buzzing sometimes.  It wasn't a huge problem, but my 1-year warranty was about to expire so I figured I'd bring it it to get fixed.
About a week later, I went to pick it up and I brought it back home.  I tried out the speakers (it was too loud to hear them in the store), and the problem was still there.  It wasn't worth complaning and bringing it back because I usually use external speakers anyway, so I figured I'd just live with it.
But about a week later I noticed there is a dead/stuck pixel on my screen.  It shows up white against a black background, but is also detectable against a white background.  I can also faintly see a mark there when the display is turned off so I have a feeling it was caused by physical damage.  I want to bring it in to get it fixed but my warranty is now 2-3 weeks expired.  There is a 90-day guarantee on the speaker "repair" I had done, but obviously that is not directly related to the screen.
I realize it's hard to believe screen issues would arise from a speaker repair.  However, I think it is at least possible that they damaged the screen when they took the computer apart.  I've had this computer for a year without any issues; I definitely would have noticed the pixel had it been there before--I do alot of programming with a black background.  It's quite a coincidence that I first notice a problem right after I bring it in to apple.
Do you think I can bring it in and get it repaired?  Should I call AppleCare?  Also, if they deny me the repair, is it too late to extend AppleCare for another year?  Thanks!
(the display is Samsung, for those who are wondering)

We are just users such as you so our opinions don't really matter.  Do bring the MBP in to the store and have a talk with a decision maker.  Sometimes good things happen but don't expect that to be the case.
Regarding Apple care, you are too late.  It must be purchased prior to the expiration of the one year warranty.
    Ciao.

  • Dead or Stuck pixels on brand new iTouch?

I just bought my first Apple iPod Touch two days ago and i just now noticed a dead or stuck pixel on my screen. Its right smack dab in the center of the screen and can get pretty annoying when im watching a video or when im looking at photos. In addition to that you could say that im OCDish about my stuff in the way that one dead pixel is going to annoy the crap out of me. I wanted to know if i took the itouch back to the apple store would they give me a new one or fix it for me? This dead pixel is going to kill me. I mean stuck pixel. Im pretty sure its not a scratch cuz when i ran a stuck pixel finding online app the pixel would change colors when on a certain color. Anyways any help would be great thanks anyway.

Thanks. I will probably just head over there when my dad gets home so he can take me.

  • 1 dead pixel on the screen

I seem to have a dead or stuck pixel on the screen. How do I know if its dead, or if its stuck? Do dead pixels look different from stuck pixels?
Im not to bothered about it as I can hardly see it and I struggle to see it, but it is slightly annoying that you know its there. It looks turquoise colour, but when I put some black over it on the screen, you cant see it.
Also, I have downloaded the stuck pixel fixer and run it for about 20 minutes, and it doesnt seemed to have done anything.
Does anyone suggest what to do? Also, does apple have a pixel policy? Like I said im not to bothered by it, but when you know its there it can get a bit annoying. I have to really look for it to see it though.

Yes thats what I was thinking. Like I said im not to bothered about it and I can hardly see it, but might give them a call and see what they say. Its not acually to bad. I have dead pixels on other things before and they have been much worse. It must be because of the resolution of the screen or something.
I have to say, the one thing I hate the most and is the most annoying thing out of all technology for me is a dead pixel, esspecially when its right in the middle of the screen. This one is just at the top where the program menu bar is, so its not to obvious. Infact, its probably the best place it could have happend really, if it were to happen at all.

  • Pixel dot on screen. (please help)

I 've had my imac less then 1 month and just notice a small red pixel dot on my screen. The imac isn't returnable anymore.
    What do I do?
    Thanks!

I've noted a little fix I think may be work in a another topic- basically, if any of you are familiar with the PSP, there have been some fixes for stuck pixels, usually with a 70% success rate.
I've created a similar fix for the Mac called rapidFire. rapidFire is a simple QuickTime movie, that if successful, should eliminate any "stuck" pixels on your screen. By rapidly displaying red, green, blue and white colors on your screen, the capacitors that control a "stuck" pixel should begin to work properly again.
This movie is based off a popular solution for "stuck" pixels on Sony's Play Station Portable. Users report a 60-80% success rate with these units. While I haven't thoroughly tested rapidFire, it should not cause any damage and will not void your Warranty or Apple Care Protection Plan coverage. That said, it's offered AS IS, with no warranty implied.
    Download rapidFire here: http://chris.macteens.com/RapidFire.zip
You could also try gently massaging the area where the stuck pixel appears to be, but you must be very gentle (yet applying firm pressure) when doing this.

  • Stuck Pixel on my 3g iphone what do i do

i have noticed a stuck pixel on my screen and it is bothering me what do i do

umm, well is this just one pixel or a block of pixels? im sure if you have a lot of dead or stuck pixels they would exchange it for you, ive heard of people getting replacements for 2 dead pixels, so if i were you and it bothers you that much make an appointment with the genius bar at your local store and ask for a replacement, ill be doing the same except i have dust under my screen.

  • White Dot top left of screen that is not a stuck pixel

    Hi,
Along with the colour shift issue (that seems to be gone when not on full bright?) I also have a white pixel whenever a full screen application runs (eg DVD Player, Aperture).
It is not stuck because when the screen saver comes on it isn't there. Strange one hey, any ideas?

  • Stuck pixel on Macbook pro 15" Late 2008 LED screen w/applecare

Greetings I was researching and I know that Apple cover warranty for stuck pixels, and also I was researching about what stuck pixels are, so I take my mac to a certified apple center where I can process warranties and the manager told me that those were not stuck pixel but damaged pixels caused by contusions or misusing, but i was researching a lot and i bet those are stuck pixels, you can see them more bright on white backgrounds. So, how can i demostrate that those are stuck pixels or what can i do? the warranty expires on September and Im very worried about my screen.

Thats what i said, there is no way i can cause that damage, because i treat my mac like a baby, always in a sleeve and in a bag.
Actually Im in the Dominican Republic and there are other repair center but like a 80 miles from me, so I think i dont have the time to go there cause my job.
I have a Express Lane Case to call Apple in USa but i dont know if it will help.

  • Screen has a Dead or Stuck Pixel ! (Pavilion DV6 3158ca)

I have recently noticed a dead or stuck pixel on the top left area of my laptop screen, it shows a white dot, when a white or bright background is being viewed. If the background is black the dot isnt visible. Im sure its a dead or stuck pixel, I have tried  a few pixel fixing softwares, no help!
I still have 4 months left on my HP warranty, but I have read they wont change it unless there are 4 or 5 dead pixels! Anyone had any experience with this, or any ideas? It totally sucks to have a good working computer and a white dot which keeps grabbing my eyes attention.
    HELP!!!!!!!

    What is the size ???
A pixel is the size of  a pin point.
If you see a dot that is larger than that it could be press marks.
Press marks come from the keyboard, palm rest, mouse buttons and sometimes from the LCD lid.
Does the dot line up with any of these???

  • Does the warranty cover a stuck pixel?

Will the warranty cover a stuck pixel on my iPad 2?

Warranty should cover screen defects but not accidental damage. Only way to know is to visit an Apple store and ask.

  • Dead or stuck pixel

    Hello,
I'm new to the forum here having recently converted. I've done a search or 2 on this issue but found nothing of note. I have one dead pixel(well its green or white sometimes) in the middle of the screen and its very annoying. I've read through all the support pages and found the usual pixel anomalies page explaing all about it.
But It only mentions LCD's. There's no mention of LED screen, so would I be right in saying that there is no material specifying the restrictions of this and it would be considered a fault?

    Vermelho88 wrote:
But what I mean is, they have no policy for LED screens stated yet so therefore its just plain faulty, as in "not as described" so wouldn't they have to replace it straight away?
It's still an LCD display. The Al MacBook displays use LED (as opposed to fluorescent) backlighting. A dead/stuck pixel is still an LCD malfunction. One dead pixel is considered normal. If it weren't the cost to the manufacturer would be considerably more in terms of rejected parts and warranty returns.
