(rMBP) Is it normal for the menubar to reload constantly?

Hi, I have a 15" Macbook Pro with Retina Display.
I use GFX Card Status so I am aware of when my computer switches to the better graphics card - the Nvidia Geforce GT 650M... And whenever it does, the menubar reloads every time I change desktops. It is also pretty laggy and choppy compared to the Integrated graphics card (intel), which is very smooth.
This is incredibly frustrating because obviously I only use the Nvdia graphics card when I am doing more graphically intense things on my computer.
I went to the Apple Store. They kept my laptop for two weeks, replaced the logic board and the display, and neither of these things did anything to fix this issue. I really need some help, I'm afraid to go to the Apple Store again because I don't want them to keep my computer for a long time for no reason again...

I noticed this, too, because I didn't want it to audibly ring while I'm listening to music in my cubicle when I'm in the office. I'm not sure I buy into the "you could miss calls if the phone is lying around with the earphones in" explanation. By that reasoning, as absurd as it seems, you could say the ringer should ring through the speaker when the phone is in silent mode, otherwise you might miss calls if it's lying around that way. The best solution would be to have a setup option like "External ring on/off w/headphones" but I doubt that's going to happen.
There is a very simple solution. If you flick the mute switch on, it won't ring through the speaker (of course), but you do still hear the ringtone through the headphones when you get a call.

The 2nd reply has images attached show why it is difficult to read. An light spot on a desktop background or an icon can make it very difficult to read. This is the #1 reason why I keep going back to 3.6.

No, that is not normal. There could be some problem with the screen.
As it is still under warranty, why not go to an Apple Shop and ask them about the problem?

Correct.
You need to go to ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/.
The ~ indicates your User folder not the top level /Library/ folder.
Click on the desktop, then hold Option and go to Finder menu Go and Library will be there (only when holding Option as it is hidden).

Is it normal for the phone battery to heat up?

I own a Nokia 5800, and purchased it back in 2009. Basically, I have started to notice that the charge only lasts about a day or so, nothing more, which means i have to charge it fully every day. I would expect it to last longer, like it did before (sorry, i can't remeber how long it used to last before, never bothered really, to tell the truth).
Another concern of mine is that it heats up alot while watching videos or GPS, especally while watching youtube videos on the inbuilt web browser (using flash that is). When I say "it heats up", i mean i can literally use it as a heater if my hands are cold. If I take off the back cover after watching youtube videos, its blazing (ie. very hot)! I don't want the intenal circuit, sim card or battery cover to melt... or am i being a bit too cautious? I definately don't want it to catch fire, although i doubt it wil lol
So, is this normal for the Nokia 5800 or not? If not then what should I do?

It is normal for the phone to heat up when using processor intensive programmes like video or Navigation, depending on usage, a day isn't 'that' bad, but you can buy replacement batteries quite cheap, I have a 1900mAh one in my N97 !

Warm is normal. The processor and battery generate heat. 'Too hot to handle', quite literally, is a good rule of thumb for when to stop using it and make an appointment to get your device checked out.

I am kinda worried about the optical drive on my mini.
Has anyone else noticed that the optical drive on the minis is kinda loud, especially right after you have put in a disk? All disks that i put in the drive make a sound like they are hitting against something, but stop after a couple of seconds.
Also, is it normal for a kind of "fluttering" sound to come from the drive when you are playing a DVD (it happens about every 5-10 seconds but doesn't effect the playing at all)?

Yes to all questions.
Optical drives these days make a lot of noise. You don't hear it in something as large as a tower computer because the computer has its entire case to pick up the vibrations. With the drive just under the case cover and nothing to make distribute very far, it will make more noise on a notebook or Mac Mini just because of the constrained space.
That said, if put sticky labels on disks, or get extra thick disks that is not very good for slot loading drives. See this article on nonstandard media:

Its hard to say as you said power saving can effect the battery but more than likely the problem isnt the software but the hardware. I suggest taking your iphone into the apple store. My brother has a problem with his phone and it was his fault. Apple gave him a new iPhone free even thought he didnt have a coverage plan or anything! Hope this helps you.

I would re-install Mavericks using the Recovery partition.
After powering down as Csound1 suggested, restart holding down the Command R keys to enter into the Recovery drive.
Select Reinstall OS X.

Is this normal for the iPad's front facing camera?

You can make a screenshot by pressing both keys once (home and sleep) for an instant, until you see a flash.
It may be an hardware problem; is there a strong light behind you? Some cameras are sensitive to some light sources and may show a line.

All smartphones tend to get hot from use. Both because of you holding it and from all the hardware working when in use.
Battery will go faster on smartphones due to the touchscreen, hardware, animations, etc. You should expect to charge every 1-2 day.

Is it "normal" for the bottom of my MacBook Pro to heat up?

I'm pretty sure that I have a defective MacBook Pro, which I purchased from MacMall on August 29. I've mostly only been running Safari since receiving the computer on September 2. Even after a full charge, the battery must be recharged within 24 hours, during which time it runs almost completely out. The Apple store ran diagnostics on the MacBook yesterday; according to Apple, everything checks out accordingly with the computer.

my macbook pro tends to heat up after a lot of usage (much more than you described). regardless, the heat is common for me and does not do any harm thus far. what is helpful, however, is to frequently check (maybe once or twice a week) your activity monitor. you can find this by going to finder>applications> utilities >activity monitor. if you go to the "system memory" tab on the bottom, it will show you a pi graph. if it looks as though there is little free space, i recomend restarting your computer. this should relieve most of the heat and quiet the fan significantly. however, if you are mostly just on safari yet there is still little free space, something is not right and i would have apple re-examine.
just to give you a sense of what is normal, i restart my computer once every two weeks if that - and that is with photoshop, xcode, and many other large applications.
