RME-02105 AND ORA-00955 WHEN EXPORTING APPLICATION SYSTEM

WHEN TRYING TO EXPORT APPLICATION SYSTEM FROM RON.
and after resbonding to the messsage "Export tables are already populated, you want to clear them?" by "yes" ,I RECIEVED THE ABOVE ERRORS .
I USE ORACLE databse 8.1.7 with Oracle Designer 6i Version 6.5.52.1.0.
is ther any help?

OK,
I have read the link and I have talked with our DBA. He says taht we are working with a 9.2 (9.2.0.7 exactly) version. In this version he believes taht the only way to use the flashback query feature was through the use of the utility package DBMS_FLASHBACK. Therefore, the sentence ALTER database flashback that would work on a 10g version off does'nt have sense on 9.2.
Anyone knows how to avoid the flashback error in a 9.2 environment?

It may well be a driver issue but considering the loading: Xorg trying to load different drivers is somewhat normal. @cafe you can see that these are autoconfigured by X above the loading in the log:

    Hi Prathmesh,
in fact I saw this very thread before and I made sure that both solutions were applied. Moreover as I said patch 6991626 had already been applied earlier, precisley to fix this problem, and I've had been able to successfully export other albeit somewhat smaller schemas (500M instead of 3GB) in the last few months. This is why I was so puzzled to see that exact bug raise its ugly head again. As far as I can tell I didn't do any modification to the DB since that last patch in nov. 2009. In fact the DB has been running pretty much untouched since then.
I even tried yestereday to reinstalled the patch again; opatch does the operation gracefully, first rolling back the patch then reapplying it again, with only a warning about the patch being already present. However the pb does not get fixed any better.
Thanks a lot for your help,
    Chris

  • ORA-00955 when upgrading from Content Server 5.0.2 to Publisher?

I am upgrading Content Server 5.0.2 to Publisher.
After running the sw installation and having imported the publisher.pte file, I am starting the Publisher and receiving an Oracle error "ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object". From the messages logged, it looks like the error is encountered when recreating the object PCSACTIVE.PK_PCSACTIVE (first SQL statement with "Recreating ...", all others before where "Adding ...".
    My questions:
    1. has somebody else encounteered the same error?
    2. does anybody know how to trap the SQL being executed? As the upgrade is done automatically by the Publisher when starting, I have found so far no way of checking the SQL or knowing which SQL statements are executed against the DB) when "Recreating" an object.
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S. Customer Support has also been contacted, but it looks like noone else has reported this kind of problems.

Pl post OS details - are you using DBUA to upgrade ? Are there any errors in the database alert log ?

  • Pages 08 and Hiding Extension when Exporting

Hi. I am still using Pages 08. Often, I export my documents in PDF and Word format. When exporting, there is a little checkbox labeled "HIde extension." However, when I leave that checkbox unchecked and export the document, Pages still hides the extension. I then have to go the Finder, the Get Info panel and uncheck the box there. Some days, I export a number of documents and I'm finding it frustrating that Pages won't display exported files with their extension showing even when I've told Pages not to hide them. If there's a solution, please let me know. Thanks.

This behavior was described several times but it never surfaced on my machine.
As far as I remember, nobody described a workaround to get rid of this erratic behavior.
Of course, don't hope any change to this app which was replaced by iWork '09 in january 2009.

  • Width and height changes when exporting

When I export a vector design from Illustrator to raster (.jpg in this case), I am given the opportunity to select the "Use Artboards" feature. Once clicked, I assume my dimensions will not change. Here are my selected options:
    "Use artboards" option is selected
    Image quality: 10
    Format method: Baseline (Standard)
    Resolution: Depth: Screen
    Custom: 72 DPI (grayed out)
However, when importing the .jpg file into Photoshop, the "Image Size" information reveals that one (1) pixel is added to the height and width.
Why does this occur? How can I be sure Illustrator's artboard size will remain the same when exporting?

Are you using "crooked" sizes? In that case sometimes the dimensions get adjusted to accomodated the compression algorithm, which is course based on blocks of a given size. also make sure to explicitly setup everything with units set to pixels. Rasterization of stuff based on other units can lead to inconsistent results. Also always define your artboards and slices at 100% zoom. You may accidentally create slightly too large stuff where the actual dimensions do not coincide with full pixels at other resolutions.

  • Hyperlink and Movie Functionality When Exporting to flash!

How do I get the hyperlinks and movie clips to work after I export my Keynote presentation to flash?
    When Exporting to flash

To get the white background, you'll need to have a white background on the Keynote file. To have a white background and the left align on the web page, you'll need to set the HTML tags correctly. This can be done with Dreamweaver or any other HTML editor. (Not sure you'd be able to do it in iWeb, that program is one that I haven't begun to try to understand)
If you want to try editing the HTML file that is created with the flash file, you can download Taco HTML edit and on the body line add bgcolor="#FFFFFF" then on the div line add align="left"

  • Rerunning script (DML and DDL) without ora-00001 and ora-00955 errors

What is the best way to write a DML and DDL script so that it can be run multiple times without these ORA errors:
ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (JILL.SYS_C00160247) violated
I have just joined a product development company using SQL Server as there primary database. They have just completed a port to Oracle.
Their product release upgrades (given to clients) include sql scripts with database changes (structure and data). They require that the client be able to rerun the scripts more than once with no errors. In SQL Server, the accomplish it this way.
    For DDL:
    if not exists (select * from dbo.sysobjects where id = object_id(N'[dbo].[MyTab]') and OBJECTPROPERTY(id, N'IsUserTable') = 1)
    Begin
         CREATE TABLE [dbo].[MyTab] (
              [ID]int IDENTITY(1,1),
              [InvID] uniqueidentifier not null
    For DML:
IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM [dbo].[mytab] WHERE [Name] = 'Smith' and [ID] = 3)
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO [dbo].[mytab]
    ([ID] ,[Name]
    VALUES (3,'Smith')
    END
I am tasked with duplicating this logic on the Oracle side. The only way I can think of so far is using plsql and checking for existence before every insert and create statement. The other options I thought of cannot be used in this case
    - "whenever sqlerror continue" - gives the same response for all errors. True errors should stop the code, so this is too risky.
    - "log errors into ... reject limit unlimited" on the insert - I thought this was my best solution until I found out that it doesn't support lobs.
Do you know of any more elegant (and more efficient) solution other than plsql cursors to check for existence before running each insert/create?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

select table_name from user_tables will give you the table exist or not.

  • ORA-00604 and ORA-12705 when adding datasource in Mapviewer

    Hi,
I am trying to add a datasource using standalone OC4J Mapviewer and I'm having some problems.
I'm using Oracle8i on Windows 2000 Server. Windows 2000 is in Spanish.
When I add the datasource I get the following XML error
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<oms_error>Message:[MapperConfig] no se puede agregar el origen de datos de mapa. The part in spanish means: Map Datasource cannot be added.
In the console I get ORA-00604 and ORA-12705
I know that ora-12705 has something to do with NLS_LANG.
I put the following query in sql*plus:
    select *
    from v$nls_parameters
    where parameter in ('NLS_LANGUAGE', 'NLS_TERRITORY', 'NLS_CHARACTERSET');
    And got AMERICAN.AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
I also changed the NLS_LANG variables in the registry to the same characterset. (One of them was in spanish characterset).
I don't know what else to do! Pleas help!

Yes, you are in the wrong forum, but it sounds like you have your environment variable (or registry entry) for ORA_NLS33 pointing at the wrong directory.
