  • Need to reboot CM server after Device Package install (suppport new phone)

hi! we have 4.1(3)SR7 but does NOT have support for new phone model 7925G. As a result, we need to install CallManager Device Package 4.1(89.0).
But I am getting conflicting message about the need to reboot CallManager server after installation.
if yes, reboot all CM servers in the cluster or just the PUB?
    readme says:
"When applying this Device Package to enable new device support, a cluster-wide reboot is required for those devices to register successfully.
A clusterwide reboot IS NOT required when running to update existing firmware/support."

A device pack does two things for you.
    1) It adds new phone models to your CUCM deployment, i.e, adding support for 7925G.
    2) Updates the firmware for phone models which are already supported in your CUCM depoyment, e.g., 7941G
If you are performing option 1 (which you are, by adding support for 7925G phones) you must reboot the cluster (all servers). This is so that the web page will start displaying the new phone models for you.
If you are only performing option 2, then you only need to reset the phones. At which point they will download the new firmware from the TFTP directory as instructed by their config xml file they download upon reset.

  • CCP package install fails, generates no logs

A CCP-created package (that works on other machines) will not install on Mac OS 10.7.5. The installer gets to "Installing Package Scripts..." and then quickly fails: "The Installation failed."
No logs generated in the usual places. Any thoughts?

Most of the times, CC package installation failed if there was a conflicting process running on the client machine. Please check the PDApp.log from below location and check if it reflects any error.
    MAC HD> User library> Logs>PDApp
Let us know in case it doesn't help you.

  • Enterprise CC Packager Install Fail

I'm on Macbook Pro running 10.8 w/ 12GB RAM. I created an installer package with everything in the CC as of 6/27/2013. The Package downloaded and is a little over 12 GB. I ran the installation and it hung up and failed after the instal estimation clock ran up to over an hour remaining. After retrying once I begain searching for the issue and found a thread here saying that CC Cleaner would do the trick. I manually uninstalled everything I had Adobe related (CS5.5 and CS6 collections) and then ran CC Cleaner. Same result. I've removed the entire App Support>Adobe folders from my user library and my system library as well. Still get the same result every time. Attached is a picture of where it hangs in the install, it reaches this point within a few seconds and then stays for over 30 minutes as the clock runs up before it fails. I cannot cancel this install without a force quit either.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
I'm at the point of insanity.

    Success!
Here are the additional steps I took after doing all of the above:
Ran CC Cleaner again since every failed install left remnants all over.
Removed the files from the HD>Library>Preferences>Adobe folder. These files remained after running uninstallers that were told to remove preference files AND after running the CC Cleaner.
    Reboot
    Ran Installer

  • Creative Cloud Device License Install Fails

I am trying to install the Creative Cloud Device License but it fails about 75% of the way through saying to contact Manufacturer. I have attached a screenshot. Not sure what to do here…...
Im running 10.7.5 and was recently running CS6.

This is how we resolved it. Used a 32GB Flash Drive formatted the drive HFS+ and then copied the PKG folder and files and then brought them to the target Mac and copied the files over and ran the PKG and Exceptions install. Everything seems to be installing fine now.

  • Package install fails (cannot resolve gpgme)

I am using the latest netinstall image (2011.08.19)
When I get to installing packages, I get this error:
Cannot resolve "gpgme", a dependency of "pacman"

Never-mind, updating the install environment is definitely not working.
While the install environment updates just like any other already installed arch system, once I get it all up to date, running the install script breaks. /arch/setup starts the install dialog like normal, but when I go to select the first step, I get an error:
ERROR: ask_checklist makes only sense if you specify at least 1 thing (tag, item and ON/OFF switch)
after which I get kicked back out to the shell. I'm assuming that something I updated isn't backwards compatible with something in /arch/setup, but that's as far as my knowledge of this goes.
If anyone else has ideas, I'll give them a shot.

Try updating your mdf device package as well. Device package for Common Services.
For current Nexus device package issue, each device package is not individual, but has some dependant packages. Without which they are tend to fail during installation check.
You can select all the available device packages and try to install. It seems you dont have SharedDcmaIOS (3.1.7) installed and hence the package is failng due to pre-requisite.
You have to install each package which fails which consistancy check on other packages.
For mdf package update, you can select common service as well and check for update.
There may be some 3850 device packages already available, please share output of following command for us to see :
    NMSROOT/bin/psucli -p rme -q -all

  • Can't update device package for adobe DC in cd photo shop CS3 beta)

i've installed device central from CD Photoshop CS3 BETA ,
the problem is i can not install new device package for the file
that download from net , and it always shown ( the file update is
too new for this version of adobe device central ).... somebody
    help me please ?

I am pretty sure that the Device Central that came with
Photoshop CS3 BETA is different from the official release of Device
Central that comes with CS3 products.
I had Photoshop CS3 BETA and DC working. Then I bought a
licenced copy of Flash CS3 and Device Central. The new device
package installed perfectly on the newer version of DC. However,
now that I have installed the new Device Central, I can't launch DC
from Photoshop CS3 BETA—it gives me an error.
That said, DC works great—with the update—but
only via Flash CS3 (or some other official launch product).

How can uninstall a version of mdf if I have a problem with this version?
    thanks

Indeed. It does look like the only MDF available is 1.52 for CS 3.0
    I also saw the note:
You must install Campus Manager 4.0.13 and MDF 1.27 before installing CMDeviceUpdates 2.0.
    RME 4.0.6 Release Notes
FYI.  LMS 2.6 is EOL.  As such I suggest you contact your account team to see if they can acquire it for you.
    Thanks.

Unfortunately, since then others have quickly stuck a pin in this balloon, finding that it is just one more bump in the road, but at least working around this coding error should change your symptom.
    Good luck

  • RME 4.3.1 & Nexus 7000 device package

I am have 27 devices that RME reports as "Out-of-Sync", among those some are Nexus 7K devices, with the sysObjectId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.612, which according to the "Supported Device Table for LMS 3.2" is supported in RME 4.3.1.
Searching for device package with that sysObjectId I get no result in Common Services. However, when performing a "Device Update" with my CCO account, Ciscoworks tells me that "All the available package(s) at source location are already installed."
What do I have to do to get that device package?

    Hi,
To check / download the latest RME Device Package for Nexus 7k support, please do the following :
    1. Go to Common Services -> Software Centre -> Device Update and click on the hyperlink for 'CiscoWorls Common Services'
    * You should see 2 packages listed  - Device Data and MDF.
    * The latest versions of these are 1.10 and 1.48 respectively.
    * If you don't have the lateset versions installed, please run an update to install these.
    2. Once you have the most up to date packages for Common Services installed, go to Common Services -> Software Centre -> Device Update and click on the number in the 'Device Type Count' collumn for Resource Manager Essentials.  Filter the list of devices by Package Name = Nexus.
    * Do you see sysObjectId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.12.3.1.3.612 displayed ?
    * What version of the Nexus device package do you have installed ? (The latest version is 2.5)
    3. Even if you have the latest Nexus package installed, run a device update for RME so that you loaded the latest versions of all packages (I see there were some new updates for shared packages eg LibCommon as recent as 21st January 2011.
In terms of the devices being reported as 'Out-of-sync' , this means that RME has detected that the running configuration and the startup configuration on the device are different. This could be because RME doesn't have the most recent copy of either config or it is a real situation of the startup and running config being out of sync on the device.  If you go to the Out-of-Sync Summary page, select the Nexus 7k's and click on 'Sync on Device' RME will run a job to login to the devices and execute a copy run start.
    * If your Nexus 7k's are still reported as 'Out-of-Sync' after the job completes then we'll need to investigate further.
    Regards
    Derek Clothier
