  • Step job failed and agent shows sucess

    hi everyone,
I'm running a package using an agent job step Transact SQL script (T-SQL)
the step runs a package using command line dtexec only in case there are any rows in a certain table
the problem is that the package fails and yet the job step indicates sucess
i'm passing the dtexec exit code as exlpained in:
    http://www.bidn.com/blogs/BradSchacht/ssis/941/capture-ssis-package-execution-status
iv'e tried using RAISERROR but it hasn't helped
    can anyone help?
iv'e configured "Job step On failure action" to "Quit the job reporting failure"

    OK i solved it
the job step is a Transact SQL script (T-SQL) step
that means that as long as the
    query result success the
    step will indicate success
    i added an if statement
    if @ExitCode<>0 then
    BEGIN
    select * from TableDoesNotExist
    END
the table of course doesnt exists so the query fails and therfore the step indicates failure

  • Last few applications do not install, fail with "Execution status received: 24 (Application download failed )"

    Hello,
We deploy applications using a task sequence. It does not matter which order we put the applications, the last two or three applications will not install. All of the applications install correctly when moved up in the task sequence order but
previously working installs will fail once they are moved to the end of the list. Inside of the SMSTS logs we receive several errors listed below. I'm assuming it has to do with a space issue or limit but cannot find anything that would cause this error.
On our distribution point the free disk space on the 1st package share priority is 100GB and 65GB on the 2nd package share priority which is at least triple the total size of all of the applicaitons being deployed. There are no errors under site status, component
status, or under distribution point configuration status. The workstations have 300GB HDs.
Execution status received: 24 (Application download failed).
    Installation failed.
Install application action failed: 'AppName'. Error Code 0x80004005
    Any help is appreciated, thanks

The CAS log shows the problem, I do have errors there. The SMS Cache was filling up so I doubled the SMSCACHESIZE attribute (SMSCACHESIZE=10240) to bypass the issue and allow all applications to install. The issue remains that
the content is not deleted, it looks like the Error: DeleteDirectory error is not clearing installed applications.

  • Sun UCE - security check job failed

I am working on the Sun Connection console to install latest updates for SLES9 images. I ran a security check job on one of the SLES9 images but it failed with the following message:
Failed to download blob 27004905 , Aborting task !
Download Phase - Download Failed. Check server logs for more details.
    Task Finished with a failure ! ( JobID = 773 )
It's the same with the bug fixes job. Any help?

The log is from the agent, correct? I would suggest enabling debug mode on the server to troubleshoot the cause as the information from the agent is not enough. What version of UCE are you running and what OS is the server so we can provide debug options?

  • Is reseed required when in "failed and Suspended" status

We had a small hiccup in our SAN which we have resolved. The database copies went into a "Failed and suspended" state on one server. Can we just right click on them and say "resume?"
It seems all the documentation on MS web site talk about reseeding the database like it is the norm when the database copy is in "Failed and suspended" error occurs.  Is that accurate or if you select "Resume" will it use the
transaction log files to bring the database to a healthy state?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I would start with the application log and it may tell you what action is required. If there is not any related events, we can consider a reseed.
Here is an article for your reference.

  • Compliance Check/Deploy DCMA0058 error

    Hi
Using LMS 3.2 RME 4.3.0. I'm trying to deploy baseline config after compliance check. When I select compliance check job and click deploy i got this error:
"DCMA0058: Could not deploy selected Job.
    No compliance report available."
But the report in baseline jobs window i available.
Any ideas what should i check ??

Please run a device update from Common Services --> Software Center --> Device Update --> Select RME under products and check for updates from Cisco.com and install all the device packages.
Duplicate the problem again after update and post the error if it appears again.

What does it means this error when jobs fail and how can be avoided? That is really boring..
Skipped Reason: An execution in the current run or one of the previous runs was suspended by the system.
    Thanks
    Rosario

It means exactly what it says. One of the previous runs of this job is in a Suspended status. Look at all the past executions until you find a Suspended run, then either resume or stop it.

  • SM13 Update Request Failed entries with status "Enqueques deleted"

    Hi Experts,
I viewed transaction SM13 and there are entries whereas the updated request is failed and the status is "Enqueque deleted". Unlike with other updated request failed with status "Error", error message is provided. However for those with "Enqueque deleted" there's NO error. Do you have any idea what went wrong having such status? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Royit,
Thank you very much for your response. are there any means of tracing who deleted/released it? Thanks in advance!

    Hi Jiggi
Are you running 2 jobs at the same time from DB13?  What do you mean by >Db13 both the jobs failed
    >ORA-00001: unique constraint
can happen due to lot of reasons in SAP. Basically it means you are insertion of  already existing records.
This also may happen due to bug in brtools patch level. What is your brtools patch level?

  • Error Message: The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

I have a web page that contains a ReportViewer control.  I am trying to display a report, which is an .rdl file located on the SSRS server, in this ReportViewer control.  I have set the ReportPath and ReportServerUrl correctly.  I am
    getting an error message.
Am I suppose to use an .rdlc file rather than a .rdl file?  Does the web server configuration need to use a certain account?
I am getting the following error message:
The attempt to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version.
The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

    Hi bucaroov,
The error "The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found." means the ReportServerURL configured in the ReportViewer control is invalid.
Please follow these steps to solve the issue:
    Logon the Report Server machine.
Open the Reporting Services Configuration Manager.
Copy the Report Server URL from 'Web Services URL'.
Logon the application server(in this case, it is the server that host the web page), check if we can use the URL we got from step 3 to access the Report Server. If so, please replace the ReportServerURL in the ReportViewer control with this URL. If it is
not available, could you please post the error message.
Additionaly, we don't need to provide the extension for a server report. The ReportPath should be like: /<reports folder>/<report name>

  • Connection failed and cannot check firmware status

I subscribe internet for mobile services..But I repeatedly receive notification saying connection fail and I cannot check the firmware status although I already type the #0000#

Hello johnjoel, the number to check the firmware is *#0000#. For the connection failed error check that the setting is correctly configured. Or ask your operator to send the settings via sms and then save it and set it as the default one.

    Hi,
BR0301E SQL error -12546 at location db_connect-2, SQL statement:
    'CONNECT /'
    ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
BR0310E Connect to database instance QAS failed
From the above errors, I am guessing that you may be trying to run CheckDB / Update statistics jobs from DB13 for REMOTE DB Instance located on Remote Host (i.e. QAS instance).
If my guess is right then,  please refer [SAP Note 1256322 - Establishing a remote database connection in DBACOCKPIT|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1256322] and do the required settings as listed in that SAP Note 1256322 and then retry.
Also ensure that latest BR*tools is in use with the required permissions on local/remote hosts.
Permissions 4775 should be there for brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools with owner ora<sid> and group sapsys.
Permissions 755 should be there for brrestore, brrecover, brspace with owner <sid>adm and group sapsys.
Use the following commands to change the permissions & owners/groups for the same.
chmod 4775 brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
chown ora<sid>:sapsys brarchive, brbackup, brconnect, brtools
    chmod 755 brrestore, brrecover, brspace
    chown <sid>adm:sapsys brrestore, brrecover, brspace
    ORA-12546: TNS:permission denied
If QAS is the remote DB host, then copy+paste the TNS entry in file tnsnames.ora of monitoring system (located at /oracle/<SID>/<Rel>_64/network/admin location). Its guided in the above suggested SAP Note 1256322. then check the connectivity using tnsping <Instance ID>. It should be completed with success and response time.

  • 5 error while checking job status

    Hi,
We are getting the following error when we are trying to check the status of the process chain through FM 'RSPC_API_CHAIN_GET_STATUS':
5 error while checking job status.
The real scenario is we are using an abap screen with a button on it. when the user clicks on the button we call the FM 'BP_EVENT_RAISE' to trigger the process chain. once the chain is triggered we are having an endless loop to monitor the status of the chain with FM 'RSPC_API_CHAIN_GET_STATUS' untill the chain status turns green ie G.
Now while monitoring the status it randomly throws me the above error. it seems to work sometimes and other times it gives the popup with the said error.
Can anybody help why we get the error.
    Regards,
    Shashank

    Hi Shanshank,
    Try to Debug the FM.

  • In workflow need to check in passed validaitons and check out failed once?

    Hi All,
Can any one let me know is the following requirement possible?
In workflow can I able to split records based on validation result? I need to check in passed validations and check out failed validations..
    Regards
    Rajeev

    Hi Rajeev,
You can try out both branch step and validation step and see which serves your purpose better.
In branch step you can give multiple validation/validation groups,if result is TRUE take the first branch and check in at STOP.
If FALSE,take dont checkin at STOP,either cascade or Rollback as the case be.Also here you can call the same or other Workflow. The split branches can later be combined using MERGE or Group.
Other way can be by using Validation step, setup iteration threshold.here failed jobs will be sent to previous step and passed ones will move ahead in WF.Later you can checkin at STOP and failed jobs would still be in WF in checkout state.
