RMI Connector Server not running in java 1.4
I have an application using sun JDMK implementation which is running fine in java 1.3 As I go to java 1.4, the RMI connector server is not running, the state goes to OFFLINE. I don't see any exception except that the server doesn't stay alive. Any idea on the problem ?
If you have the possibility of changing your application so that it uses the RMI connector defined by the JMX Remote API, then I would strongly encourage you to do so. You can get an implementation from http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/core/mntr-mgmt/javamanagement/download.jsp (look for JMX Remote API Reference Implementation).
If you don't have the option of doing this in the short term, then you could try turning on JDMK traces by calling com.sun.jdmk.TraceManager.parseTraceProperties() in the main method of your application, and specifying -DLEVEL_DEBUG on the command-line. You will probably see some logging information that will help you diagnose your problem.

init: smb(5) repository server not running
Hello guys,
I'm new to Sun OS and would very much appreciate if someone could identify what is the issue here and its possible solution
Background: I was booting up SunOS 10 on my vmware to carry out some tests and suddenly the electicity tripped and my server crashed (along with the just booting SunOS in vmware)
After i restored the electricity, i was trying to boot up the SUN OS again, but it just dosent start the GUI! It asks me for the root password and then just sits about! When i try to start the GUI with a init 6 it displays the error message
Any Help AppreciatedGuys
Sorry for being a DODO!
I've managed to read all the help messages, the helpful Sun OS presented and understood that i could run the command below, which guides me to run further commands and i've managed to resolve the issue! I can see my GUI now! I'm saved!

Thanks for taking the time to read this. -

JDBC Driver 10.2.0.3 will not run under Java 1.4
While using Oracle Database 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.3) JDBC Drivers my application will not run with Java 1.4
I keep getting an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException, followed by a number. Running 10.2.0.3 with Java 1.5 does not give this error. If using Oracle Database 10g 10.1.0.2 JDBC Drivers that error does not occour either.
I am running other applications with 10.2.0.3 with Java 1.4 that does not have this error.
Anyone know about this problem?

Adobe Signing Server: Not Running
Hi
Actually it is not possible to fulfill downloads using our ACS4 server via ADE.
The error message given from ADE is: E_ADEPT_TIMEOUT.
The status check of the ACS4 server says
6 Adobe Signing Server: Not Running
Do you encounter similar problems or might this be a networking error in our environment?
Are there any known issues in the global ASC4 infrastructure at the moment?
Thanks
PhilippIt seems to me that eu signing service is not available:
PING on eusigningservice.adobe.com results in a timeout (EU Signing Service)
PING on nasigningservice.adobe.com is successful (North America Signing Service)
Do you experience the same issues or received any official information about the progress resolving this issue?
Thanks

WillHi,
Java version ?
Configured Virtual Memory ?
The Supported Operating system to run NW CE is 64 Bit OS. The installation of SAP NW CE is only supported on 64-bit platforms.
For supported operating system and database releases, see its corresponding[ Product Availability Matrix for NW CE 7.2|http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_EVENT=DISP_NEW&_APP=00200682500000001303&00200682500000002804=01200615320900001418]. SAP JVM 5.1 is recommended to use with SAP CE 7.2 on Windows Platform.
You will face memory address space related issue in 32 bit Windows OS with more than 2 GB of physical memory. You can avoid this problem by switching to 64bit OS Platform.
Please refer [SAP Note 129813 - Windows: Problems due to address space fragmentation|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/129813] to get more information.
In that SAP Note 129813, one alternative is mentioned to deal with this address related issue by activating 3GB feature in your existing Windows OS. Please refer Microsoft KB article [283037 |http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283037]and KB [268363|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/268363/*] for the same. You will have to edit your boot.ini file to append /PAE switch.

New to JEE5 not running Sun Java System Application Server Platform 9
Hi! I've downloaded the JEE5 in Windows XP, the installation was fine, I start the server following this
From the Start menu, Programs => Sun Microsystems => Application Server PE=> Start Default Server.
and this message appears: Domain domain1 is ready to receive client requests. Additional services are being started in the background.
but when I confirm that the server is running clicking here:
http://localhost:8080.
it's not running.
I didn't change the default settings in the installation, and I have the PATH variable set to C:\Sun\AppServer\bin.
But this one does work fine:
http://localhost:4848/asadmin/admingui/TopFrameset.
What could be happening? What could be happening is that port 8080 has been in use at the time you were installing Java EE SDK and installer selected an alternative HTTP port number for you - if you were not paying close attention to the content of the appropriate installer text box it is rather easy to miss it...
To check which port is being used, access admin console at
http://localhost:4848
and log in. Click "Application Server" on the left side menu and you'll see the list of port numbers used. First port listed under HTTP Port(s) is the one you should use to access your server. -

Hi,
I have just the same problem. I am trying to start a managed server on the SAME machine,
from the SAME domain, from the SAME directory. Therefore they use the SAME filerealm.properties
I guess that there must be something else than checking that both servers are configured
with the same system password ...
We are using WebLogic 6.1 and Portal Server 4.0 on top of it. We have configured
LDAP Realm V1. Admin server starts OK.
Thank you for any relevant input.

Discoverer 9iASv2: does not run, produces java errors
Hi,
I am evaluating Discoverer9ias v2 for my company. We have set up 9iAs infrastructure on a Win2K box, with the main 9ias BI and Forms on another Win2K box.
After installing everything, the disco plus demo ran fine for a few hours. After that the 9ias admin website and the demo stopped responding. A reboot of main 9ias box was required to fix this. And on the main 9ias servers admin website, the discoverer status always appears as unknown.
We added a few public connections. The last public connection I tried to define had only the databse service name in it. I was trying to find out if Disco Plus will prompt the user for a userid/password. On clicking 'Apply' I got a Java error. I don't know if the connection got created or not. Since then, Discoverer is NOT WORKING AT ALL!
The demo url produces this error:

9ias Restarts and reboots have not helped. The Discoverer Services Configuration page on the 9ias admin website has a 'General Discoverer' option for creating and changing connections. But, clicking on this link also produces an error, even though 'Discoverer Viewer' and 'Discoverer Portlet Provider' links seem to work fine. This is the error:

Hello,
We are using wls 10.3.3 located in different unix machine. Using putty we work with the servers from the desktop computers. We want to monitor the JVM using Jrockit mission control from desktop. We have JRMC installed in the Windows XP desktop(JRockit Mission Control 3.1.0 (R27.6.3-40_o, 112101)). I tried to connect the JVM to JRMC using the steps in the below links.
http://weblogicserveradministration.blogspot.com/2010/10/monitoring-using-jrmc-remotely.html
http://multikoop.blogspot.com/2009/11/wls-monitoring-oracle-jrockit-jvm-with.html
And restarted the AdminServer after performing the steps, but we are not sure whether we have edited the JAVA_OPTIONS in the correct place. However the AdminServer did not start. It said the Java Virtual Machine cannot be started. Now we removed the edited settings in startWeblogic.sh file and made the file as before. And restarted the AdminServer, but the Adminserver did not start and showd below error message.

fiHi, where exactly in the file I need to change the settings : oracle/Middleware_1033/user_projects/domains/dev_domain/./config/jps-config.xml . I might have changed the script startWeblogic.sh, but I undo the changes again, since then my admin server is not starting. Kindly help. I am not sure which script I need to change and in that script which location I have to edit?
I have used below link for help(under the section L.3.4 Other Causes), still I am not able to find anything useful from the link.

#1#com.sap.engine.frame.ServiceException: Password logon no longer possible - too many failed attempts!
I changed the password of SAPJSF_EPP and it has SAP_ALL assigned to it.
I tried to change the password in config tool for the following parameter
ume.r3.connection.master.passwd
Then i restarted the cluster ..but again got the error showed in trace file above
I guess i have changed it in a right way
I clicked on the parameter and typed the new password at the bottom. Then i clicked on set. It prompted me retype the value
and i did it and clicked on save. Is it right??
Actually i have been assigned the additional responsibility of EP. I m into Basis otherwise. So please bear with me.
tell me how can i solve this??

Svrcfg show Job Server not running
Hi,
I am currently running Data Services 12.1.1.0 on Linux RH AS 4.6. I have noticed an issue and wondering whether there is something I am doing wrong.
I installed DS and configured the JS. I have successfully started, stopped and started this again, via the svrcfg utility and it clearly states "running". Then I log out of Putty and log back into the into server hosting DS. When I go to the svrcfg utility again, go to control job server it reports a status of not running. If I exit the tool and type ps -fu <username> I can see my Job Servive/Engine as I would expect and jobs still run fine?
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks
ChrisHi,
I am also getting the same issue. If you login into putty and check the status by which terminal you have started shows "RUNNING", if you login through another session with same user it shows "NOT RUNNING".
Output of ps -o user,fname |grep -v grep|grep AL_JobSe is
bodi AL_JobSe
I am running the . .al_env.sh manually (not from profile!).
Thanks

Server not running SSIS job in 32bit mode
I have a package that I developed in VS2012 (using the SQL Data Tools component) which collects data from a DBF file using the VFPOLEDB provider, and puts it into a database on a SQL Server 2012 X64 server. The project containing the package has the DebugOption
of Run64BitRuntime set to false. I have imported this package to the SSIS Package Store of a test and live server (identical setups). The VFPOLEDB provider is installed on both, and I can see in the registry of both machines that it's there for 32bit runtimes.
The package runs fine on the test machine, but fails on the live machine. The live instance of SQL does not appear to recognize the 32bit VFPOLEDB provider that is installed.
The only difference in the instances of SQL is that the live environment has an Integration Service Catalog set up, where as the test does not. Looking at the logs of the servers, when the live starts, it runs sp_ssis_startup, and then logs messages about
unsafe assemblies being loaded in. This SP is not run on the test environment because there is no catalog.
The jobs I create have the flag set to use the 32bit runtime, but I can't help but feel that the SSIS Catalog is having an issue with the VFPOLEDB I am using, and not loading it.
I don't really know anything about the SSIS catalog, so is anyone able to suggest any direction I could move in?I am not sure what you want in terms of job step setup information.
