Rms and ad fs 2012 integration

I am trying to follow the documentation with AD RMS and AD FS integration. The TechNet articles, videos, and blogs are all dated. For example,

Even the new posts reference the old ones on this subject - i'm looking for a step-by-step on how these two are integrated. The UI in ADFS 2012 is different and I don't know AD FS well enough to translate. I would love a TechNet Lab
Guide on these procedures but so much of the new documentation focuses on just the new features. Some help or a link would be appreciated.

UCCX 10 and SQL server 2012 Integration - Read Step returns 0

Hi All,
I managed to integration the UCCX with SQL 2012, when I press Test, it goes successfull.
However, I put the very simple Read step which does : "SELECT * from Table" , but it returns 0.
I put wireshark on SQL Server and found out the communication seems to be OK.I can see

But still not sure wht the read step return 0.

Hi,
if you mean that pressing the Test button returns 0 in the "Number of rows returned" field, it's perfectly normal.
Does the subsequent DB Get step return anything?

RMS and FCI Server 2012 r2

Trying to use FCI in combination with an RMS template.
but when i go to create the file management task and try to add the RMS Encrytion action the select template is greyed out and in the box it says unable to retrieve RMS template.
Not sure what i am missing since i can't seam to find a guide on how to set up FCI and RMS on server 2012 R2

SP 2013 and SQL SSRS 2012 integration

I've done this installation successfully a few times before. On all other times for SP 2013 with SQL 2012 SSRS, I installed on the application server because it was the only server.
This time I'm installing into a FARM. One of the DEV guys asked me to install it on one of the WFE server in the farm so i did. The installation was successful. to verify the installation I run this command.
get-spserviceinstance -all |where {$_.TypeName -like "SQL Server Reporting*"} | Start-SPServiceInstanceand I get this reply..WARNING: 'SQL Server Reporting Services Service' is already started on server 'Server1'The next steps are to create a reporting services application. However, in central admin, that option doesn't show up under "Manage Service Applications" - "New"The Microsoft instructions say this means it wasn't installed correctly. When I go to manage services, then select my WFE server, it doesn't show SQL Server Reporting Services Service Yet when I go back and re-run the shell command it says it's installed and running. I've rebooted the farm to no avail. Anyone know what I did wrong?Am I supposed to install this on the application server instead of the WFE?Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is "Server1" a WFE?
WFE, depending on memory and other usage patterns, can be faster to run SSRS on than the App Server. Did you run "Install-SPRSService" and "Install-SPRSServiceProxy" on Server1?

SSRS 2012 integrated with Sharepoint 2013, subscription and impersonation

We are configuring SSRS 2012 integrated with Sharepoint 2013. The reports are connecting to SSAS cubes via shared Datasources. We have defined user based roles and security in the cubes and would like to pass the effective username to the cubes when they
access data via reports.
Also we need to create subscriptions on these reports to run on either daily/weekly or monthly schedule and send email to a list of users.
How do we configure our Datasources on sharepoint so both could be acheived.
Our Database and Sharepoint are on different servers.

For your first question:
while configuring the datasource in SharePoint, check the option 'Set execution context to this account' in the settings. This will pass the effective user name to the cubes.

Would the integration also propagate and sync/create relevant details such as Account, QuotItem, and Opportunity etc. in the Target application (CC&B)? This could be a case for EBF (Enterprise Business Flow).
EBS are entity based and by definition, do not span across entities (Account, Quote etc).

SharePoint 2013 and SQL Reporting Services Integration Mode

I'm setting up a production environment with SQL Server 2012 SP1 (Clustered) and SharePoint 2013.
I successfully setup the integration using PowerShell (Install-SPRSService & Install-SPRSServiceProxy). I can see the SQL Reporting Service on the CA Services and it's started, I've also created the Services Application without any issues (And linked it
to my web application). However the Report Server Integration feature is missing from my site collection and so are the content types. I even tried creating a new site collection and no dice.

As per my understanding, I think this issue is caused by you haven’t install the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products or is not installed correctly. If we install the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products after the installation of
the SharePoint Server, then the Report Server integration feature and the Power View integration feature will can be activated for root site collections. For other site collections, we can manually activate the features. To fix the issue you occurred, we should
install or reinstall the Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products.

Virtual Lab: Exploring SQL Server 2012 Integration Services - Setup script fails

I am trying to work through a Lab, but cannot get past the Setup script stage.
The lab is "Exploring SQL Server 2012 Integration Services". I have tried this several times (with new lab instances) and the result is always the same.
I double click the Setup command ... Press 2 ... when the popup dialog appears I press Ok ... the progress bar completes and the messages in the text box seem to indicate everything has completed (last line says "Done"). I click Close as per the
instructions and then the script moves to the "Configure SQL Server" stage.
After a short delay a number of error messages appear: "Could not open a connection ... Login / timeout expired" etc - basically it can't find or can't connect to the server.
I expected these labs to work seamlessly :)
Anyone know what's going wrong here?

Issue with connection SSRS reportviewer control to SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010...

I have a .NET application that uses SSRS ReportViewer 2012 control to render reports deployed on SSRS 2012 integrated with SharePoint 2010. I am getting error "the report execution '' has expired or not found". The same code works when I connect
to SSRS 2008 R2 integrated with SharePoint 2007. I investigated the issue and it seems the JavaScript that pings the SSRS server before it expires is missing from rendered HTML.
Let me know if there is a way to fix this issue.

What happens when a VM with 2012 Integrations Services migrates to a 2008 R2 Hyper-V server?

I've been going through our Hyper-V environment to make sure our VMs have the latest, greatest Integration Services installed. I found one 2012 running a 2012 version of Integration Services on this 2008 R2 Hyper-V server. What kind of issues can this
cause? Should I uninstall the current version and 'downgrade' them to 2008 R2?

No, you should not. If the operating system is supported on a hyper-v version you can use it. This means if Windows Server 2012 is supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 hosts you can use Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Windows Server
2012 integration services installed as a guest OS.

How to deploy and execute SSIS 2012 packages when only SSDT is installed

Hi, I am facing a weird situation where we did an upgrade for visual studio to vs 2102 on all the dev machines and as part of that moved to SSDT from BIDS but all the database is still SQL Server 2008 R2. Now I have a few SSIS 2012 packages which I cannot
schedule & run because DTEXEC.exe is not compatible and I get all sorts of version & “Package Load error 0xC0010014 in CPackage::LoadFromXML” error even though I set it up in 32-bit mode and was trying to save it to msdb. I knew I will not be
able to schedule this as a job in SQL Server Agent but even saving the package does not work.

I doubt 2012 ssis packages are backwards compatible with 2008r2. 2008r2 doesn't know anything about the project deployment model and i'm sure there's new tasks and connectors in 2012 so the package deployment model ssis packages won't work either.
You will need a sql 2012 integration services service installed and running somewhere. You need this to execute your 2012 packages

The simplest way is to drag it across wirelessly using the 'Airdrop' application once both computers are near one another. 'Airdrop' can be found near the top, on the left hand side menu, within 'Finder'.

The most immediate thing you need to do is to call your credit card company and report the unauthorized charges. Your card company can contact Apple if they need additional information.
Next, log into your iTunes Store account and see if the purchases are reflected in the Purchase History. If they are, immediately change the password to your iTunes Store account, making sure it's not something easily guessed or looked up. Then go here:

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. Whether or not they'll do anything for you I don't know, particularly if you didn't change the password after your iPod was stolen.
If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly rather than an unauthorized purchase through your iTunes Store account in which case it will be up to your bank to handle.
