RNR. Backup not possible
Hello
I have a problem to finish any backup with RNR 4.52.0005. My laptop has two hard drives:
- first: ssd, three partitions: system(C), lenovo recovery(G), some data(D)
- second. hdd, one partition - data(E)
I'm trying to backup only first drive with all partitions. Some time ago backup went to the end and the I got the message: Backup did not completed successfully. Last week I tried to reinstall RNR, and after that I cannot finish any backup: In the middle of backuping It's return backup was cancelled window.
I always do backup to an external USB drive(H). Can anyone help me? Please check last part of rr.log file:

Is it so difficult to let things, that are quite good, just there where they are??
After updating my iTunes, OS Lion and some other stuff 2 days ago, I have now a big problem with a smart Playlist in iTunes 10.6. Before updating all things was right.
The problem: Now, AFTER UPDATE, my Playlist ist totally empty!
Before they were over 2000 songs in it.
And because this is my major-smart-Playlist, which is established to my whole other Smart-Playlists, the other ones are also empty.
And this is not the first time Apple.
It´s good, if you - apple guys - just added something like new categories to sort of music (like "iCloud-Status" or some others).
BUT WHAT DID YOU THINK, WHEN YOU DELETED THE OPTION "VALUATION" - mh??? (I hope in english this is the word that used in Itunes - my iTunes is in German)
So I don´t mean the "lines" - I don´t know the right english word - when you see the music. There you can fade in "Album-Valuation" - new - AND "Valuation" - old.
But I mean in the options of the smart-playlists - THERE ARE ONLY "Album-Valuation"!!!!! What the heck....
EVERYONE NEEDS THE NORMAL Song-"Valuation" - and not the album (because normaly you decide by each track how good he is and not by the whole album).
You can let the Album ones in it, BUT PLEASE BRING THE NORMAL ONE BACK.
So, in my case, I tried to go back to iTunes 10.5.3 with my nice Time-Machine-Backup. So, but I couldn´t because there came a bug-message that said something like "It is not possible because OSX need the Programm".
What is that?
I also couldn´t delete the iTunes app from my app-folder.
So, and now?
I had to totally restore my volume !
What is that for a solution?!
So please think before you delete any functions, who is needed by many people.
And if you did, maybe ask some users, that uses for example smart-playlists alot, if there is a problem about some changes, you want to add.
I hope anyone from Apple read this and also answer me. Because I´m upset about that.
In every iTunes-Update I am concerned about what will be after the update.
For example in the past, there was more than one changes in iTunes with the Valuation. First, there was just whole stars to set for every song. Than, after a long time, Apple decided to give the options for also half stars. So I said to myself - hey that´s great, that I don´t have to use external apps anymore to set these. So I did this to many of my songs (and that´s many).
Than - after an Update - wow, all half stars rating are gone ! Great Apple, really great.
I was VERY upset.
So after an other update, the opportunity to give half stars are back.
I thought, my god, it is so difficult to talk with other guys, that worked before on iTunes if I am new or just to look if there was already a change in that part of the app???
So, apple guys, please don´t think that I want to attack you. But please be more carefull in the future. I hope that I don´t have to worry too much about so stuff. I really have better things to do with my time.

i have a 1TB Samsung HD103SI Media and when it tries to boot up it wont show in finder, i can see it in the disk drive utility and try to repair it but it only gets me an error saying i have to reformat that drive?
i hope this can somehow be fixed otherwise all my backups are goneHi,

Mistake 5000 Backup not possible
When I sync my IPad 2 it appears a message: Backup was not possible because the computer couldn't save the Backup. The problem started when I updated Itunes to Version 10.5 and when I tried to update my IPad 2 to IOS 5.0. I had to stop the update and now I don't dare to do it in case I would lose all my APPs and other data on the IPad.

I upgraded from lion to mountain lion online this week. Itunes and safari crashed since then several times. I then used the harddrive aid prog. to repair seemingly existing acces problems. Crashd again. Now nothings working anymore. If i start, either the logo and a panic (caller) message show up, or a blinking folder with a question mark or the screen, or it just stays annoyingly blank (which usually is the case).. Appearently i tried to backup from a externa (with osx lion on it from before upgrading) but backup only started once and then looped time to about 5y 230d remaining install time at 73.3%. I restartet, now nothing happens no more. If i even get to the point that it shows me to select either to do backup, reinstalllion etc( one out of 20itmes) it does not find the interna mac Hdrive to do the backup... Or other stuff. In All other cases it endless- circles with restarting the system automatically, or again, blank.
Short keys to reinstall from store won't work, nor restarting with or without the externa, nor did threatening the keyboard or screaming at the logo...
Any ideas what it might be?

Restoring of my backup did not work because Itunes states that the computer doesnt have the autority.
I followed the following steps:
1. Autorizing my Imac again.
2. Take away the authority and try to autorize again.
3. updated Itunes
4. restart mac
5. step 1 and 2 again
6. Go to folder /users/shared/SC Info
7. removing folder
8. step 4 again
9. step 1 and 2 again.
But still no luck. My iphone is partially restored, but not completly. I never had problems before. What can it be?

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

While a database mirroring session is active, the mirror database is in a recovering state and it is not accessible. Thus as Ashwin’s post, backup and restore of the mirror database is not allowed. In addition, you need to note the following things:
•Backup of the principal database is allowed, but BACKUP LOG WITH NORECOVERY is not allowed.
•Restoring the principal database is not allowed.

Lenovo RnR backup does not complete succesfully
Hi, I have version 6 of thinkvantage toolbox and RnR will not backup successfully to hard drive or usb device. Windows 7 performs a backup with no problems. Any suggestions on what could be the problem? Thanks Diane
The most common reason for the merge to fail is lack of free disk space (however this is not the cause for you since you have tons of free space according to the log you posted).
The second most common reason for the merge to fail is some internal corruption of one of more of the backups that are being merged together, and it's almost impossible to know what caused this corruption. It could be that a backup was interrupted, or a virus scanner interfered and quarantined a backup file, or a disk error (these are some of the problems I have seen in the past).
When a merge fails and it's not due to lack of free space, it means that you may not be able to restore your most recent backup should you need to in the future (e.g., something is wrong). You can delete one or all of your backups (including the base backup) and start over. My recommendation for you would be to delete all of the incremental backups (starting with the most recent backup first), leave the base backup, and then immediately take a new backup so that you are protected.
I'm also curious to know where you are taking backups to (e.g. USB, network, etc)? If you want to zip up the contents of your c:\swshare folder and attach it here, I'd be happy to look over the logs to see if something sticks out at me. -

Make sure that there is proper access for this file at the OS level. Normally, when you are changing any profile at SAP level it will try to create a backup of existing file at OS level. Also, check if the parameter is set correctly and saved properly.
If you are not able to change the file at SAP from RZ10 then change the same at OS level and after that restart the instance for parameter to take effect. After the system is restarted then again the load the profiles back in to the system using RZ10-->Utilities->Import profile->of active servers

Does anyone know how to remove any RnR/Backup data from the local/source disk? RnR/Backup does not work on my system, and I can not delete backups (RnR "does not respond"). Of course, I can repartition/reformat the docked backup disk.

But here is how to check your Services.
Start > Run > type services.msc
The Services window will open.
Click on Standard for better viewing.
Scroll down the list of Services to the ones starting with Thinkvantage.
Verify all the Thinkvantage services are set to Automatic, and are in a Started mode.
If a Thinkvantage service is not set to Automatic, then right click on the Service > Properties and change Startup Type to Automatic. Then click the Start button.
If a Service is set to Automatic but is not in a Started mode, then change it to Manual, and then change it back to Automatic, and click the Start button.
If all the Thinkvantage Services are set to Automatic and in Started mode, then this is not your problem.
Another place to look for a possible reasons for R&R not working is the Event Viewer.
Start > Run > type eventvwr
Click on Custom Views > Administrative Events and look for errors in the Administrative Events list.
Post any errors that look like they might be related to Thinkvantage.

It is not possible to scroll the menu without lagging.
The latest version has been restored but nothing.
I think the touch screen is having some problems.
I wanted to use the Set Up a Repair / Send In for service but it seems that the application form doesn't working.
As soon as push the Continue button, nothing happens.

AnmaryRestoring a phone from a backup will put the device back to the state it was when the backup took place, i.e. all info that you had on that phone before using the backup will be gone.
You could try to restore the phone, which will back up the actual data on the phone, including the passcode, and use this backup to set up a new phone with. The passcode will still be the same, because it is part of the backup.

Not being able to fill in the passcode is not much different from forgetting it.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

when i open iphoto i see my photo's for 1 second and then they are gone .The photo's are still there but i can see them only on the bottom or top of my screen when i try to open them i get a sign that it is not possible.Can somebody please help me?
Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?
If not, rebuild the library with iPhoto Library manager as described by Old Toad: Re: iphoto crashed -

Have you not got the music on your computer and/or on backups on, for example, external drives or CDs/DVDs ?

Dear Apple, why is not possible in the year 2014...sync to my iPhone just content I want to separety, without the whole sync procedur(backinup,syncing whole purchased things and stuff like that) When I want to have in my phone for example just 3 new songs ..I dont wanna wait 10minutes because of whole synchronization!!! I want add to my iPhone just these 3 songs thats it! Would be perfect, If you will make possible to sync just parts like MUSIC, Apps, Fotos, separetly and not alltime together...it s****!

I have Windows OS and iTunes for PC, but the problem is not in my PC, but in synchronization. Your synchronization take minute or two, you have thunderbolt lightning cable??? If is it by you really so quick than ok but by me is it with sync really slow and I have still powerhouse notebook.
I dont know how is it possible that your sync is so quick, but my iPhone starts transfering purchased aplications and all content to the PC, instead of downloading it PC itself without iPhone from iStore. So there is what happend when I am conecting my iPhone.
When it find my iPhone on the first try, it starts makeing backup, than transfering photos, aplication, some info from Safari and to the end also the MUSIC...this should be improved by Apple and it should be able to sync just MUSIC section and not whole system, when I changed just something in MUSIC section(like adding new CD..)
So it does on PC whole resync Maybe is it somewhere in options, but where? I really want sync sometimes just MUSIC or just Apps and nothing else(like Photos, Bookmarks...)
I am sorry for that angry tone, but I am really stresedby this 20minutes sync or 10 miutes...just becouse of adding 1-2 songs, this is by competition phones quicklier :/ !

You need to buy PSE13. But you can continue with PSE9 if you download and install the free DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the DNG files will work with yoir existing software(keep your originals as backups and for use in the camera manufactures software)
