Roaming between WLC and vWLC on different code versions

Hi,
I have the following setup in our environment, a HA 5508 pair running 7.4.100 and a vWLC running 7.6.130. I have mobility setup between the two with the control and data path up and running. All the access points are setup for FlexConnect.
When I join an SSID using PSK on an AP associated with the vWLC and then roam to an AP on the 5508, I drop a few pings but stay connected no problem. However when I join an SSID using PEAP (both WLC's using Radius to Cisco ISE 1.2 for this) and repeat the test, my client actually drops my wireless connection and then rejoins.
Is this expected behaviour when running controllers on different versions? This is only temporary until I upgrade the 5508 pair.

Oh... Forgot. With FlexConnect, you also want to create FlexConnect Groups. See this link:

Switching between Design and JSP tabs add code?

I am new to SJSC and I am taking the time to go through all of the little odds & ends of the IDE.
I was looking at:
http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/tor?entry=computing_html_on_the_fly
And I decided to try this.
When I add the following in the JSP tab:

Then click on the Design tab, then go back to the JSP tab, I now have:

<h:outputText binding="#{Page1.outputText1}" id="outputText1"/>It's late here, but this doesn't make any sense, why would switching between Design and JSP tabs add code?

Roaming between 4400 and 5500 controllers

Hi, we are planning to do an AP migration, but there is a doubt for this.
Actually we have a 4402 controller with 1120 APs both of which are marked as EoL products, we want to jump over the new 2600 APs and 5508 Controller for increase signal coverage but we have the following deals:
Last firmware for 4402 controller is 7.0
Firmware needed for 5508 to support 2600 APs is 7.3
Is it possible to configure mobility between 4402 and 5508 even with different firmware branch?

Roaming between mesh and non mesh and mesh AP design

Hi There,
I need some verification on the following:
- Can client roam between Mesh AP 1550 series and Non-Mesh AP?
- I have 1550 series AP to be installed and all the mounting area are with data point ready, which connects back to switch. Would configuring mesh for this outdoor units recommended, and guide on this. Current guide i am looking from cisco site is basically the AP do not have wired ethernet connection, my design here a bit different, all the AP's have wired connection back to the switch.

I have seen and done installs like this. The advantage is that you don't have to worry about the backhaul dropping. So it's like any LAP but big chunky outdoor AP. If the RAP looses Ethernet connectivity... Well it changes to a MAP. So you can look at
It as a benefit. It's always nice to be able to have Ethernet when you can.

Optimize update inforamtion between WLC and WCS

Hi,
I have a WCS in 4.1.83 and 3 WLC 4404-2 12AP in 4.1.171.0 (ans ER).
I'm think that the update of information between WLC to WCS are too slow. The update is about inforamtion, like client associated, ....
Do you know if it's possible to change the update pooling of the WCS ?

Difference in client tables between WLC and AP controller d0

Hello gang,
Anyone know whether its normal to have an APs' d0/d1 controller output show clients that don't appear on the WLC's "sh client <AP>" output?
Here's an example - 10 clients visible from a "sh client " on the controller, but 15 clients visible on AP4s "sh controller d0" debug.
Granted the User Idle Timeout has been bumped up to 7200 seconds, but shouldn't the AP's d0/1 client table get updated if/when a client roams to another AP nonetheless? Wouldn't this otherwise cause confusion? Is the Split-MAC Split-brained?

hi Leo,
I tested this out, but i guess its not working as i thought it would work. I configured the backup primary controller IP and name in the global configuration of the Wireless tab of the WLC and left the AP high availability blank with no settings. I joined the AP to the WLC and show capwap client ha output on the AP shows the backup primary controller name. but if i shut down the primary controller, the AP does not join the back, it just tries to get WLC ip by renewing DHCP forever and stuck in that...   below are the outputs.. any idea why its like this ? I thot if there is no HA configured at the AP level, the global config on the controller level should take effect ?

Has anybody a successful instalation of WLCS and Documentum WCM Starter Kit?

The WCM Edition Starter Kit will not install the BEA Integration with 3.2
Commerce Server. One way to solve the problem is to go to the registry key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/BEA Systems/BEA Weblogic Commerce Server and
look for the folder 3.2. Change the folder value from 3.2 to 3.1 after
installing BEA WebLogic Commerce Server 3.2. Then run the install.

CK24 - mark and release with different costing version

Hi,
We are currently using standard costing variant PPC1 and costing version 1 to mark and release the standard costs. However when we try to recost the material cost due to price changes, system does not allow to mark & release revised standard cost if we try to mark & release on same day. pls note standard cost estimate is already released for the month. And we do not want to delete existing standard cost estimate. Instead we want to explore other options. We are using 4.7.
My questions are :
a) Can recost using costing version 2? CK11N allows to save the costing result. However in CK24 Marking allowance, system does not allow to change Costing Version. is there any config option to change this.
b) If we cannot use different cost version, can we update material cost with same costing variant (PPC1) and costing version (1) in this case. However when we tried to do recost with same costing variant & verison on same day, system gives an error 'Material AAAA in plant MMM has a released cost estimate.'
Any inputs on above issue highly appreciated.

Hi,
While, you can use any of the Costing versions to mark & release Standard cost estimate, you can release Cost estimate only once in a fiscal period. If you want to release correct prices, then you have delete existing released cost estimates using CKR1 transaction and then re-run CK40N to release.

WLC and AP on different subnets

I would like to add a new AP to my existing controller. Currently i have about 15 AP's connected to a seperate mgt vlan for the AP's, vlan 10. It is trunked to the controller as well as the other user vlans like Private, Public, WVoIP etc. I have already started to implement EIGRP network wide instead of having a large layer 2 vlan'd network. At one of the newest locations i'm routing at, i have a new AP to connect. I'm trying to make sure this design will work before i implement it. So, i have a 3560 connected to my core 4506 with a layer 3 connection. EIGRP running as well. I plan to have the 3560 do intervlan routing with a voice vlan, data and wireless. The problem i see is how can i get the AP to talk with the controller since they are on a different subnets, over a metro E "WAN"? Any suggestions would be great.

As long as the LAP's have been primed locally first, that LAP will have the ip address of the WLC. If you want to attach the LAP to a different L3 subnet, then configure ip helper-address using the management ip of each wlc. then configure ip forward-protocol udp 12222 & ip forward-protocol udp 12223 globally on the L3 router. this along with the ip helper, will allow the LAP's to join the WLC on the other end.

WSImport - Jdeveloper and WSImport generating different code

I am using ANT to generate the stubs of a WSDL via WSImport. I m finding that for certain WSDLs the port code is not getting generated and its giving me warnings as

I m using Jdeveloepr 11.1.1.5 OSX, OpenJDK.

Then the DB Schema is changed and the code needs to be modified in order to take advantage of the new schema.You should be able to use "Synchronize features" in Bc4J wizards (Rightmouse on Package node and select Sychronize... or edit individual entity and select "Synchronize" on the attributes panel).
You may also want to see JDev online help - search for Synchronize
Is it possible to use the Jdeveloper to modify the code to use the new schema without overwriting the customized code?Yes, designtime wizards do try to "preserve" your code. Let us know more on what kind of synchronized changes are leading to "removal" of custom code.
Are there for example some special tags to add that Jdeveloper recognizes? no.

Transporttaion Cross Docking between EWM and ECC across company codes

Seceanrio is as follows:
We have an EWM managed site in GB, and an IM managed site in IE.
We would like to use the transportation cross docking solution from within Service Parts Management to transfer goods from GB to IE, (ECC > EWM > ECC) across company codes.
Is this possible within the standard SAP solution?

Inter Company Purchase scenario works when the same material exists in both the company codes... I dont know how SAP would manage this in the case of Assets, when the Same Asset No is not existent in the other Co Code...
However, Refer 1523976 PurchaseOrderERPRequest_In_V1:Asset account assignment fails
This applies to EhP4 / EhP5 - But I dont know if you are using the enterprise service PurchaseOrderERPRequest_In_V1 ....
If not, better create an OSS message to SAP and check with them mentioning the notes that you have mentioned in your message

When foreign currencies are valuated, all the open items that were posted in a foreign currency are valuated. The valuation is based on the individual open items in a foreign currency, that is, each open item in a foreign currency is valuated individually.
The exchange rate table is OB08
AND
OC41 is another transaction to the exchange rate table.
When you try to change you cannt change the rates sometimes.... but u can see the rates displayed.......
