Reading some older threads from 2012 and 2011 it appears the problem was present even then. Part of the problem was due to people using multiple or different account id's on the various devices. In my case, I only have one ID and it is the same on all devices yet the iPhone and iPad are still throwing the same error when I try turning on iTunes Match. This is very frustrating . . . any help out there? Thanks.

How is iTunes telling you it is unlocked? Did you go through an unlock procedure with your cell company and then Restore it in iTunes?

What is the problem? You only redeem it once.
If it shows $23.71, then you still have credit. Just buy something.

I would like to get rid of duplicates in iTunes 11 which all the posts only help for earlier versions.
The instructions here are still basically the same, but the command has been moved to the View menu now and relabled "Show Duplicate Items". There are also third-party utilities that can provide more functionality, such as Dupin:

Howto get rid of duplicates in iTunes but keep albums complete
I try to get rid of duplicates in iTunes but came across the following problem:
In File -> display duplicates tons of duplicates show up, but when I delete one file the entry is the itunes-library is deleted as well and I will miss this song in that specific album.
Is there a solution to refer to 1 file on disk with multiple entries in my library, to keep my albums complete with the correct ID3-tags (meta-data) and get rid of duplicate files on disk. This would save me a lot of space on disk.
Or is the correct way of avoiding copies of files in iTunes, to drag-in the file once and link with various album-playlists to it? Then you still missing the possibility of saving meta-data of those playlist-links, right?iTunes does not have the ability to show just one file in multiple albums. So you'll have to keep the multiple files for multiple albums.

Uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes does not create duplicates.
Only the user importing content multiple times creates duplicates.
Delete the duplicates and stop importing the same content multiple times. -

Please do not delete any files from the HDD without having a current backup.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you've "deleted all old libraries." Can you explain that?
If all you are wanting to do is empty the iTunes library of all music, video playlists, etc. the easiest way is to quit iTunes and, in the Finder, go to ~/Music/iTunes and simply move the .itdb, .itl and .xml files to the trash. Launch iTunes again and the library will be empty.
You should be prompted to add content, so you can let iTunes scan the HDD if you like. -
Trying to use FTP to get data from a different server

When trying to use sharing, I get Connection Failed
When trying to use my OSX 10.75 laptop to access files on my OSX 10.6.8 laptop it says "Connection Failed". In the console, it says:
Finder: SharePointBrowser::handleEnumerateCallBack returned -6600
File sharing is turned on in the target computer. I have a user account setup for file sharing. That user account has read/write access setup.
I have tried to turn off sharing and turn it back on.
I have tried to remove the shared folders, make new folders and then share those new folders.
I have tried both guest access as well as access with a specific user account.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Trying to Use Compressor to get a 24P appearance?
Hello
I made a dumb mistake and shot some footage in standard 29P (my other cameras were set for 24P)
I realize I might have a difficult task trying to make this 29P footage look like 24P
Graeme Nattress mentioned that I might be able to achieve some similarity by exporting using Compressor and advanced settings? But I'm not sure just exactly/what settings to do that?

Patrick can you telll me please what do you mean by a 'Pull Down'?
I'm using FCP 5.1, and I've already captured these shots and saved them as a clip/segment within a FCP File. Now when you say, a 'Pull Down', are you referring to an export of what I already shot?
Or maybe it's another type of process?
Where do I do this pulldown? Would I do this in Magic Bullet's Frames? Or any other application which would allow me to convert 30P to 24P? Or do I do this right on the FCP timeline?
I already tried to use FCP Cine Tools, and converted some of it to 24P, but it does not look any different. It still does NOT look like the other 24P 'Film Look' footage shot with the other same cameras and set with the same aperture settings. It seems to me that I would have noticed a few frames dropped every second, if Cine Tools was working wouldn't you think?
And in answer to your question, a 20% slow down would be welcomed, if it will look more like the 24P stuff that it was supposed to be. The clips are short/brief and yes, I can get them to work with the other 24P clips just fine.

My iPhone 5 was distroyed so I replaced it with a new iPhone 5 yesterday. I did a restore from a backup that i had performed a week ago. When I tried to use the phone several of my apps would not let me in becuase they continually gave me a popup message "Connect to Itunes to use push notifications". I click ok and the popup comes back. I have shut my phone off several times. I have complete closed the apps several times. I have even deleted the apps from my phone and reinstalled. All to no avail. Please help - does anyone know how to fix this?
Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.

Using Canvas to get rid of Options command
I've read that you can use a full screen canvas to get rid of the default "Options" menu but I can't find any information on how to do this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Neiluse mycomputer to browse to the directory where javaw is located
(usually c:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin but it depends) right click on javaw.exe
and create a shortcut then right click on the short cut and go to
'Porperties' a window will pop up with 2 tabs a General and a Shortcut
click on the Shortcut path, and look at the field labeled target it should look
like C:\path\to\javaw\javaw.exe now just add the parameters that you would
normaly add to java.exe when you run your program from the command line
i.e. c:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin\javaw.exe MyClass
If you want you can also click change Icon and change the icon for that shortcut to
something else, either one of the included icons, or a custom icon that you made.
Click apply and okay and your done
(Note: You can rename the shortcut to whatever you want, it doesnt
have to be 'Shortcut to javaw') Now double click on the shortcut and watch as your
java program runs without showing the command window.

I have been given a new ipod nano to replace my much loved but old ipod. When I plug it into my laptop to sync it I get an error message stating "itunes.exe - entry point not found. The procedure entry point AVCFAAssetCreateWithByteStreanAndOptions could not be located in the dynamic link library
