Roboform toolbar disappears after persona changes

When FF starts up and the persona changes (such as with Personas Rotator), the Roboform toolbar disappears. When you retrieve it using Right-Click > Customize, personas can now change and the toolbar won't go away. Any way to make this annoyance go away?

The default Mozilla theme is basically that persona that looks like one those devices used by painters to color their brushes (I think the persona's name is "caramel"). I don't like it and always use another persona. The only issue is that for some reason when you change it the first time, the Roboform toolbar disappears. When I go to Options -> Toolbar Layout and put it back, then it stays put no matter how many times the persona changes or rotates. It's just irritating having to put it back every time you start FF. Any clues?

Check to see if you have an old phone number associated with this person in your address book. When you call someone on Facetime it calls ALL numbers/emails associated with that persons contact sheet! This was my problem, this stranger has my husband's old phone number!

  • Updated from v28.0 to 29.0 and the Roboform toolbar disappeared!

I just updated from v28.0 to 29.0 and the Roboform toolbar disappeared. Actually, it reappears sometimes at the very bottom of the screen. Any idea how to get it back to the top where it belongs? I checked the add-ons screen and it is enabled and apparently compatable with FF v.29.0.

Here's an interesting bit: iTunes will let me restore my iPod touch from backup: it's still running iOS 4.3.3. I figured as much... there's backups showing in the Preferences -> Devices list for both devices (and even my old, long gone iPod touch 2G), but my iPhone (on iOS5) isn't giving me any such option. I remember I had to downgrade before to get the backup restored (something went haywire in the setup assistant, and I couldn't restore a backup from iTunes there)... If it was possible to go to iOS 5.0 rather than 5.0.1 I would just do the same thing again, but iOS 5.0.1 isn't an option. I attached a screenshot. Hopefully Apple can get this nonsense sorted out; I think iOS 5 might be the root of this, somehow.

  • Roboform toolbar disappeared from Firefox 22. Worked fine with Firefox 21

Firefox updated to v.22 today and the Roboform toolbar is nowhere to be seen. It is in add-ons and enabled, but not visible through toolbars or as the icon to customize toolbars. All was well with Firefox 21. There appears to be a compatibility problem between Roboform and Firefox 22. Installed version is Roboform v. 7.8.9.5. Please work with them and issue an update. We're stuck without it!
Meanwhile, do you have any suggestions about how to get this working? Reinstalling RF didn't make any difference.

I'm now using RF 7.9.0.0 and FF version 22.0 with no problems.

When running a user defined report the first time it shows the tab toolbar (freeze view, run report, etc) but when a new report is opened in the same tab the toolbar disappears.
In order to show again the toolbar I need to close the tab, right click the report name -> Open and the new tab will contain the toolbar.
Verified with version 2.1 and there the toolbar is always displayed.

  • Extensions disappear after workspace change

I changed my workspace and now all my extensions have disappeared. Server Behaviors, menus, tag behaviors, all gone. The Extension manager still shows them all as installed.
Why did they disappear and is there a way to get them back that does not involve reinstalling every one of them? Perhaps a way to force a refresh of what is installed?
I deleted the cache file and that did not make a difference.
    Any help appreciated.
    Steven

Well, I didn't just let it, I told it to update. I was pretty well backed up, but the problem was not immediately visible to me.
I basically did just what your link suggests. I re-enabled all the extensions. Some failed and I re-installed those. Some were missing, and I had to find those.
The of course is the pain of activating all those extensions.
I found that my configuration folder must have been read as corrupt. It was renamed Configuration-1 and a new one created. Every time I tried to fix it, it still did not like my old one and renamed it again.
Once the tech support person realized the depth of the problem he asked me to hold for a minute. 94 minutes later, I was disconnected.
I used the time to fix the problem myself. It only took about an hour after disconnection to complete.
After that I received a support incident by email. It asked me to respond to an incident that had no information and just said "How to issue" I responded with, "WTF! respond to what?" followed by the information I shared here and a bit about my lost time.

  • Toolbar Disappeared After Updates

Yesterday I installed updates for Acrobat 8 and Reader X. After doing this I no longer have a Toolbar when I open a pdf in Reader. I restored my computer to a week ago, restored all IE8 Security and Advanced settings to default, reinstalled the Adobe updates and still no toolbar. I CAN display the toolbar with F8 but can't lock it at the top of the page and it won't open with the document. Have looked at settings in Internet, General and Page Display thinking the answer must be there but just can't figure this out. I even deleted and reinstalled the last week's worth of IE Security updates to see if that made a difference and it didn't. What am I missing and why did my setting change with the updates?

    Hi pete54401,
You're not the only one experiecing this issue.
Before, there was a registry key to turn off the "floating toolbar".  When you turned off the floating toolbar in Reader X, you would see the toolbar docked.  This was not an issue in Adobe Reader 10.0.1, but since upgrading to the latest version of 10.1 released on June 14th 2011, this seems to be a problem.
The registry key to turn on the floating tool bar is located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Reader\10.0\AVGeneral\bBrowserDisplayInReadMode = 0
The good news is that this turns off the floating toolbar, the bad news is it also now turns off the docked toolbar.  If you flip this bit to "1"  it turns on the floating toolbar and you can just click the Adobe Reader icon in that toolbar and it will turn off the floating toolbar and then you'll see toolbar become docked.
The bad news is that you'll have to do this every single time you open a new PDF file in IE.
This was not an issue in Reader 10.0.1, it's new to Reader 10.1.
I'm trying to package Adobe Reader X for a large hospital and we have over 20,000 customers that need this toolbar docked because they work daily printing PDFs with a docked toolbar in IE.
This is a new problem, hopefully they'll resolve it before the end of the year.  We've been waiting for a working version since February, it seems they fix one problem but it another one shows up.  I guess we will stay on versoin 9.3 until then.

  • Yahoo toolbar disappeared after update to firefox 30 yesterday How to fix?

Firefox automatically updated to version 30 yesterday & NOW my Yahoo Toolbar has disappeared & doesn't show up even in the View/Toolbars of the Menu.... Although when I check the AddOn Extensions it's showing as installed & Enabled, but it's not working... How do I fix this?

Your Firefox reported itself as version 16.0. Could you try the fix in the first section of this article: [[Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version]].
Firefox 30 switched more plugins from "Always Activate" to "Ask to Activate". You may need to switch your Yahoo-related plugins back to "Always Activate" if the toolbar needs them. You can open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. I'm not sure which plugins are the Yahoo ones, but presumably you can determine that from their names and descriptions.
To test, try opening a new window (Ctrl+n) or new private window (Ctrl+Shift+p). Any improvement?

  • Acrobat toolbar disappeared after update

I'm in the midst of reinstalling everything on a reformatted computer (don't we all just LOVE computer crashes?).
When I first installed MS Office 2007, I had the Acrobat toolbar in both Word and Outlook.  But then I did an update to Acrobat 7.0 standard, which brought it up to 7.10.  But now I have no toolbar in Office.  I tried to search for answers here but just could not follow.  Any help for a non-computer-guru?
    Thanks,
    Malia

Well, after looking around here and on other forums about the issues between Acrobat (no matter what version) and Office 2007, I could kick myself for not checking it out BEFORE I bought Office 2007!  I'm a virtual assistant and most of my clients use 2007, so I figured it was time for me to catch up since I was having to reinstall everything anyway.
But it just never occurred to me that the newest versions of such popular programs would not "play well" together.  Since buying the newest version of Acrobat won't help (and I do use Acrobat a lot) then it looks like my best alternative would be to just stick with Office 2003 and Acrobat 7.
All the various "work arounds" I've seen just seem too complicated and too much trouble and makes the Office upgrade not worth it to me.
I'll include a couple of relevant links referred to above here in case others looking at this thread might be curious:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/1168098#1168098
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402985.html
If anyone ever has useful info about this, I'd be interested to hear since I guess I'll just tuck away Office 2007 now.
    Thanks,
    Malia

  • When I upgraded to version 4, my Roboform toolbar disappeared.

I had Roboform installed on the previous version of Firefox and it isn't there after I upgraded to Firefox 4. It is still in my IE browser

Only the latest version of Roboform (7.x) works with Firefox 4. Older versions (6.x and before) do not, and since they are no longer supported I presume they won't ever.
Owners of Roboform version 6.x can upgrade for free or at a reduced cost (depending on when you purchased 6.x)

  • Tinyurl toolbar disappeared after I installed FF7.0; the Firefox "fix' did nothing.

I updated to FF7.0 yesterday. I now find that my indispensable TinyURL link tab that had been in my toolbar in the previous FF version has disappeared and is not to be found anywhere. I tried the missing add-ons "fix" featured on the FF website but it did nothing. I need this TinyURL link badly. Can anyone tell me how to make it visible again in FF7.0? Thank you.

  • Will bookmarks, highlights and notes disappear after "personal" editing?

I have to read many .epub classical books (almost all public domain) on iBook. Those books are not necessarily from iBookStore. I make highlights, notes, etc.
My situation is that the formats/styles and typos of those classical .epub make me extremely uncomfortable.
So I am planning to edit those errors whenever I find them on my Mac.
    Here is the workflow:
Read on iBook ——> highlights ——> see errors ——> export .epub to editing tools on Mac ——> edit ——> export to iBook ——> read
My only question is will all my bookmarks, highlights and notes disappear when I edit the epub?
Does anyone know where/how iBook records/store the highlights and bookmarks? In .plist or something else? Since If I know where all my annotations are, I couse easily preserve them when I am editing the epub.
This is a very very big problem of mine. Please help me.

Connect iPad with iTunes Mac and copy the book to Mac. Then import it into Sigil (an open-source epub editor) http://code.google.com/p/sigil/.
In Sigil, edit whatever part I need. Then export to iTunes again and sync with iPad connected.
After this, the book no longer belong to the iCloud, but treated as ordinary epub imported into iPad.

  • HDD disappear after ownership change

    Hi!
Made some changes in ownership/permissions my second hdd to be visible for the second user. Remember that i gave ownership for "admin". First it wont to change new perm. and after gave me some error. I closed Get info and after restart the computer and second hdd bacame invisible. Disk Utility can see it, in OS 9 is visible, not in Tigers desktop. Did a try with File Budy - find invisibles, nothing.
    Help!

It does not matter if you are logged in as an administrator - if the volume/partition is owned by another user and the permissions are set to "no access by others", then the drive will not mount. You will need to check/change the permissions from the account that owns it, or use a script as the super user to force the volume/partition to mount.

Having searched this this forum for help on this problem, I did not find the answer that finally solved this problem for me. So here is the answer in case anyone else is looking. Note that you have to do this for each user account set up on the Mac.

I was having the same problem after I completely tore down my Macbook Pro mid-2010 in order to replace the keyboard.  (Phew!)  After re-asssembling, everything was working again except for the screen brightness buttons (F1,F2).  I figured it was a bad keyboard, but after zapping the p-ram, the brightness buttons now work as they should.  Thanks for the tip!
