Robohelp 10 Translating Content(topics) into Multiple Languages (French and many more)

Hi Every one,
Do any one know, how to translate whole content(TOC-Topics) into multiple languages with the help of Robohelp 10. Is it possible to translate data to other languages such as French, German, and Spanish.
Please provide proper solution for the same.

Are you asking if Rh does the transalation for you? If so the answer is no. No help authoring tool does that.

I have loaded my Firefox bookmarks into Internet Explorer Favorited. I also uninstalled Safari.
I go to iTunes on my phone and see no wat to connect my iPhone to my laptop. I see Music, Shows, etc., the kind of stuff I would expect, but no clue as to how to proceed.

Is there a way I can type in English but have it translate my words into another language?

I speak english. I want to be able to type the English words and have them translated into other languages. Japanese kanji, katagana, hiragana in my specific case. I tried using text input, but it just translates a letter at a time making my word a mix in English letters and Katagana characters.

I assume you mean you enabled Kotoeri, the Japanese input method. This is for those who wish to type in Japanese. It's not a translating tool.

Translation of scripts into 'FR' language

I have a requirement. Iam translationf remit advice script into 'FR' language.
For this it is using RFFOF_T driver program. Iam running this script through F110 tcode.
And this job is running in back ground mode.But in the job log is is giving the error as ZFI_REMITADVICE / window CARRYFWD, the element 635 (Carry forward below) is missing.
ZFIT_REMITADVICE is my layout name.
Can any one suggest me what to do this for error.
This element is used in Carry forward window.

As it is giving you an error saying that the element is missing, include the element in your form and do not write anything in it,.
I mean to say , at the end of the form, just include the element. Thats it. The error will be resolved.

RoboHelp/Word 2002: Topic Titles/ID Automatically Changing and an Unregistered Routines Message

I’m posting a problem/solution that my team ran into
recently in hopes that it will save other people time if they find
it also.
Problem:
I have a Help project created on an XP machine, using
RoboHelp Classic, with Word 2002. There are over 1500 topics in the
project, It is compiled as Webhelp, contains 1,667 objects, and is
22.8 MB in size.
While working in my project this week, I noticed 4 of my
topics in the RoboHelp Explorer view suddenly had a prefix of
"placeCity" in front of the topic title. It only appeared in the
explorer view and the Properties dialog, but not in the document or
topic itself. When I tried to change the topic title in the
Properties dialog and save, it acted like it saved, but when I
looked in the explorer view, they still had the strange, new
prefix. Then I noticed approximately 6 or 7 topics had the words
"State" and "stockticker" added to the topic IDs which showed up as
broken links. But when I looked at the compiled Webhelp file names,
they looked normal.
I exited RoboHelp. When I went back in, I received the
following message: "RoboHelp Explorer has detected that there are
unregistered routines used by the following features in this
project. -Html Topics or hotspot links to Html pages displayed in
the Help window. -Link to a Html page, displayed in the browser. Do
you want RoboHelp to make the necessary updates?"
I never saw this message before so I selected Yes. (This
message also appeared to another user on our network, crashed their
computer, but their project was fine afterwards – they were
using a Word 2003). I don't know if selecting Yes stopped any more
chances of RoboHelp automatically renaming topic titles and topic
IDs or what it did. I was afraid I might have a virus, so I spent a
whole day running virus/spyware software. The results found NO
virus but I did have some Malware which I removed. I didn't know if
this caused my problem with RoboHelp or not.
Solution:
We had other users guide us that it could be similar to the
font problem (with KB917334) that people were currently running
into. We checked and found a Microsoft patch had been loaded around
the time that our problems started: KB917335 for Word 2002. We
deleted the patch, rebooted the system, deleted all of the rtf
files from project, and then started RoboHelp. All issues were
corrected. We have now turned off automatic updates to that
computer until our release has gone out.

OK and thanks very much for checking that the HTML output is
not affected by this problem. At the moment all I can say is that
Adobe are looking into it but I don't know what they have found
yet.
Changing the help type might not make you the most popular
person. I cannot say how much work it is but it's not a five minute
task. The problem your company has though is the winhelp has this
problem and at the moment you cannot get around it, assuming you
have tried all the suggestions that have been posted. That may mean
that there is little option but to go down the CHM route.
The only other thing that comes to mind is whether this
problem is RH related or Help Compiler related. If it is exclusive
to RH generated winhelp, then maybe some other tool is an option.
If it is Help Compiler related, it won't matter what tool you use.
Have you tried creating another project to see if you can
change topic ids in that? Has anyone else come across this problem?

Multiple language support and cookie

We are developping an application with the help of Oracle Portal (9ias V2) new release.
We use this API "wwctx_app_language.set_language" to set the language chosen by the user during
connection to support multiple languages. When he navigates, we use this API
"wwctx_api.get_nls_language" to know which language has been set to display the
contect according to the language chosen during the connection. But we notice that
the API has not properly set the session. As everytime it displays in English however the
user has chosen some other language. Whether there is any other solution to bypass this problem (with
the help of cookies,...etc.)

Not a trivial task. You will essentially have to create a UFL that converts wide char to MBCS and passes it back to report formulas. E.g. all of the fields that need to be translated will have to be in a formula - that is how UFLs work.

How to get BPS application into multiple languages

Hi,
We have BPS application configured only in English. However, when we log on with a different language, the descriptions, labels and texts went blank in the planning folders and layouts. Is there a way to supplement those descriptions, lables and texts with English content we already have without doing BPS0 for each language?

I'am Afraid if there is a method apart from doing the Language translations manually.You have to do them manually for all the labels in the folder and entries for the layouts etc..i have faced a similar situation for Translations in Japanese and Korean Langauges for BPS.The method is to do them manually for each layout and folders labels.

Message which is hard coded cannot be translated automatically.
You can try the code as shown below, but you need the help of a translator or you should know the languages in which you want to give the message or use google translator

Translate your website into different languages

Well,
i wanted to have my website available in different languages.
(Eg. mandarin, french, japanese, german...).
I heard that there is coding sample available on the internet that show you a sample of how to code out the translating tool, to be used. Or did anyone of you here knows the way?

the proper way is to use tags for this. proceeding:
get you a copy of the JSTL (jsp standard template
library).
define a property file for each language like you do
for any resource bundle, e.g. text.properties,
text_en.properties, text_en_US.properties etc. and put
it to your java class files in the web application
(i.e. WEB-INF/classes or
WEB-INF/lib/your_archive.jar).
define an initialization parameter in web.xml with
param-name
"javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.fmt.localizationContext" and
param-value that points to the properties file
(without the extension)
then use the tag lib in your jsp's and use tag
"message" to return the message texts. you should set
the current user's or session's Locale. this is an
example include file that you should statically
include in every jsp:<%@ taglib

Multiple language subject and email content

Hi all,
I encounter a strange case that an email with simplified chinese characters and traditional chinese characters in it's subject and content, when I use the message.getSubject() to get the email subject, it returns me with disorder characters. The email's subject is sent out encoded using GB2312 even it contains GBK characters. I try to send email of this case to gmail, and it display well. How can I deal this case?

Use the getHeader method to get the raw value of the Subject header,
then write your own code to scan the subject, find the encoded parts,
and decode the encoded parts, substituting the charsets you know the
subject text should be using for the ones the text says it's using.
Or, convince the person who owns the program that created the message
with incorrect charset information to fix their program so you don't have to
work around their mistake.

You can set where from primary language will be derived by setting globalization parameter "Application Language Derived From" and for example use FSP_LANGUGAGE_PREFERENCE application item.
RTL-LTR can be set with CSS properties, that can be rendered in some conditional region on page 0 which condition refers to FSP_LANGUGAGE_PREFERENCE app. item.
