Robohelp Multiscreen Output is showing random script error popups
Generated multiscreen output clean with no errors; however, simply browsing final output is creating these script error popups like those shown below - Help - this needs to be fixed ASAP...
Are you viewing this locally or on a web server? There are known issues with IE11 at the moment and this could be related.
Try moving the help to a web server and see if it still errors. Note web server, not network server.

Unresponsive Script errors popups in Firefox 14.01
Since upgrading from Firefox 13.01 to 14.01, Firefox is taking a long time to launch and I am receiving multiple unresonsive script error popups when it tries to launch. I have the same extensions installed that I had in 13.01 and all are compatible with 14.01. Again this issue ONLY started when upgrading to 14.01. I have tried to determine what extension is the problem and turn it off, however when I launch Firefox again, another unresonsive script error popup occurs with a different extension. I'll remove that one and it popups again about a another different one. This is crazy! I have even tried a complete clean install, with no luck. What is the problem?
I use Roboform and the first unresponsive script error popup is about Roboform. Their tech support just emailed me about an hour ago and ask if I had Trusteer Rapport installed on my system (https://www.trusteer.com/product/trusteer-rapport) and I said yes. They instructed me to Stop Rapport, which is a setting Rapport has, and relaunch Firefox 14.01 and see if the unresponsive script error popup returns and it did not! They then told me to do a complete uninstall (all user settings) and re-download Trusteer Rapport from their website and install again and see if the unresponsive script error popup returns. They said it should not. However after doing a clean reinstall of Trusteer Rapport, however the popups came back :(
I emailed Trusteer about this issue and I am waiting for a response. Roboform tech support responded after I told them it did not work by saying only that they are aware of the issue with Trusteer Rapport with nothing more said in their email.
I only know that Trusteer Rapport is a MUST HAVE security software and I have had it for years and it has never caused problems and that the version of Roboform I have is current and was the SAME version that was installed when using Firefox 13.01 and Roboform did not cause these popups in 13.01
So, this evening, I did another clean uninstall of Trusteer Rapport AND a clean uninstall of Roboform and relaunched Firefox 14.01 and the only unresponsive script error popups where from another add-on extension called WorldIP. No other popups occurred.
With that being said, I can say that Firefox 14.01 is causing issues and this needs to be fixed asap.
Thoughts? -
Firefox often slow, not responding and showing unresponsive script errors.
In the last few weeks, firefox has often gone unresponsive, usually shown as 'not responding.' This lasts anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes (possibly longer, but by that amount of time I loose patience and 'end task' in task manager.) This is usually followed by an 'unresponsive script' error. Which script it is varies. I've been responding by clicking 'stop script,' which usually fixes the problem temporarily.
The problem seems to occur mostly randomly, but will predictably always occur on site with videos like youtube. Here it is also worse, taking much longer to resolve if it does at all. I've got flashblock active, and sometimes the error will occur before I get a chance to activate the video and sometimes after, but will always occur. Also, on this sort of site, the 'unresponsive script' error will also go unresponsive most of the time, which I've not seen anywhere else, meaning that the only solution, after a while is to end the process in task manager. I've at times attempted to play the same video for half an hour with no success.
As I've therefore spent a fair bit of time in task manager, I've noticed that I end up with many processes running for FlashPlayerPlugin_15_0_0_152.exe*32 (Description: Adobe Flash Player 15.0 r0.) They build up the more I use firefox, but go away when I restart my computer. I've gotten up to at least 50 at one point. Most use 128 or 124 K of memory, but about 1 in 7 uses between 1-5000 K. I don't know if this is linked to the above issues, but I've only noticed it since it started.
I've tried resetting firefox and it changed none of the above.
If it helps, I used Windows 7. Feel free to ask for any more details about my system and I will do my best to answer, though I'm not an expert in computers. Thank you very much in advance for your help. Thanks for the advice. What solved it was disabling all addons and then restarting the computer. I've since reenabled Adblock (2.6.4) and Flashblock (1.5.17) without causing the problem to reemerge, leaving Troubleshooter (1.1a) as my only previously enabled addon I've not reenabled. I am no longer experiencing the issue.
Regarding updating to version 32, I tried this, but the official site told me I already had the most up to date version of firefox for some reason. Normally, it updates automatically. However, as my issue has been solved I don't consider this a problem.
Thank you very much for your advice. -

Ehlpdhtm.js script error - Object doesn't support property or method 'Activate'
RH 9.0.2.271
Windows 7 64-bit
This "Object doesn't support property or method 'Activate' ehlpdhtm.js error all of a sudden started popping up when I view any of the chms I build from my file system.
I initially through it was a 64-bit problem because if I view the chm from my file system I get the script error. But if I copy it to a 32-bit PC or run it from within RH (after it's compiled for example) or a 32-bit version of our software, it runs fine. (However, one of my co-workers tried it on her 64-bit machine and didn't receive any error.) In any case, it seems to be happening on my machine only.
Anyway, it's not on every topic, but on every one that calls the ehlpdhtm.js script with this line of code, it appears to be happening:
<script src="ehlpdhtm.js" type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2"></script>
I don't think hhactivex.dll plays with this js at all, but just in case, I unregistred and re-registered that dll to no effect. I also tried explicitly adding in ehlpdhtm.js as a baggage file. Again, to no effect.
What could have changed on my system to make this start happening? And any ideas on how to fix it?Well here's some more info I found out. If I unregister the 64-bit hhactivex.dll the script error goes away. Of course my Glossary tab is grayed out as shown below, so that's not really an option:
Reregistering the 64-bit hhactivex.dll again shows the script errors. Plus, if I then go to my glossary it's completely empty as shown here:
If I copy this help down into a 32-bit machine everything works: the glossary has glossary terms, there's no script errors.
In short, I don't know what's going on, but the script error I'm getting is somehow related to having the 64-bit dll registered. -

Could you please help us about these error?
Thanks!
Best regardsHi,
Are you accessing the portal with IPAddress?
If so use FQDN (Fully qualified Domain Name), some thing like
http://yourdomain:51100/irj/servlet/prt/portal
If this does not solve, then first patch to SP20 and then check if it is fixed.
Greetings,

Unresponsive script error with firefox 30
We are using heatmap.js from below site
http://www.patrick-wied.at/static/heatmapjs/example-heatmap-leaflet.html
Till firefox 29, It was working fine there was no unresponsive script error but after to firefox 30
Its giving unresponsive script error and never stops.
Please check into this issue.Hi,
The problem is till firefox 29, this page was loading fine but after upgrade to firefox 30.Its starting showing unresponsive script error.
I am a developer and was using this library for one of my project and its still working fine for firefox version below 30.
so it seems firefox 30 seems to be having some issue with processing javascript code for this library.
FYI. I already disabled firebug and other addons to verify if its not due to some conflict with addons. -
When I try to install the Flash player (or acrobat reader) under Windows XP SP3, I get an "Internet Explorer Script Error" popup with a scripting error
after the installation file is downloaded and begins to execute.
"An error has occurred in the script on this page"
"Line: 1"
"Char: 13054"
"Error: Object expected"
"Code: 0"
"URL: http://127.0.0.1:2232/app/_js/adobe.js"
"Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"
Clicking yes does work in allowing the install to proceed.
I was able to download the acrobat reader install from the FTP site but still can't get the Flash Player to install.
This has been happening for months - each time I am notified a new version exists.
Thanks for any help!
BTW - I did find the manual install file at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html#fp11ronczap wrote:

Script Errors in TOC from RoboHelp 9
Hello, all. I can usually find the answer to my problems by searching existing threads, but I can't seem to find a solution this time. I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 7 to 9.0.2.271. I have published WebHelp locally and then checked files in to a Team Foundation Server to be deployed to a testing environment. Locally and on the QA site, the output looks fine for me and the TOC works as expected. However, other users on Internet Explorer 7 and 8 (I have IE8) get script errors when trying to click on pages in the TOC.
I zipped my local files and dropped them on a shared drive and asked one of the users to copy them to his machine and open the start page with his browser. He still gets the script errors, whereas another user can open them locally with no problems. This makes me think the problem is not in the RoboHelp files themselves, but I am not sure.
To further complicate matters, in the staging environment, a different server from QA, the TOC and Index are empty! This is obviously a separate issue, but I am stumped. This issue occurs in IE 6, 7 and 8. It does NOT occur in IE 9 or Firefox.
Any ideas? This issue was fixed with a reply from another discussion:
Re: RH8 > WebHelp > TOC won't render in IE8 via HTTPS - Fix/workaround?
If TOC/Index/Search is not working in IE7/8/9 via HTTPS, Please try the following steps
Go to https://acrobat.com/#d=WqbdTq-2R79ToU08-zfBEw
Download IESearchIssue.zip file. Unzip it.
It will create a folder IESearchIssue. It has two subfolders
RH8.0.2
RH9.0
If you are using RoboHelp 8.0.2, go to RH8.0.2 folder.
if you are using RoboHelp 9.0, go to RH9.0 folder
Go to <RoboHelp Install Folder>\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock folder and rename the file whutils.js to whutils.js.bak
Now paste the already copied new whutils.js in same folder.
Now again generate webhelp output of the required project.
Host it to your webserver and check if it works. -
RoboHelp 11
When previewing topics from within the project, a script error diplays: 'HHComponent Activator' is undefined.
How do you get rid of this script error?Hi there
Have you tried clicking Help > Updates and applying the service release?
If not, I'd start with that.

Cross site scripting errors in RoboHelp 8.0
We are using Robohelp 8.02, generating webhelp for a web application. Development just started to use Fortify to identify security vulnerabilities. The Fortify software found 17 Robohelp htm files with cross-site scripting security holes. We are NOT using RoboHelp Server 8.
Before creating this posting, I searched the forums and found one post from Feb 2010 (Beware -serious - cross site scripting errors in Robohelp 8.0).
From reading that posting, it appears that an Adobe engineer was involved----I'm not clear on the final outcome for this issue.
Any additional information on the final resolve for this issue would be helpful.
Thanks,
Beware - serious breach - cross site scripting errors in RoboHelp 8.0The previous poster indicated that Tulika, who I can confirm is an Adobe engineer, stated "when she reviewed the code that was triggering the Fortify cross site scripting errors, she came to the conclusion that it was not actually harmful." The poster also indicated their opinion was the other errors were minor.
That seems clear enough so I wonder what value is anything that anyone here can add? The forum responses are from other users and I would have thought any further assurance beyond the above is something your management would want to come from Adobe.
I have not seen anything on these forums indicating that any attack has been triggered.
