Robohelp project not opening

I was working on a Robohelp 8 project and when I clicked Save All, the RH project hanged and became Not Responding. I closed and reopened the Project, and my whole computer hanged along with the project. So I forcefully shut down the computer using the power button. When I tried to reopen the project after putting on my computer, the project is showing the RH starter screen, but is not opening. On the bottom left of the starter screen it is showing Loading Topics and then it hanging there and becoming not responding.
One of my friends suggested deleting the .cpd file and open the project, but that did not help.
Thanks for any solution.

Instead of trying to open your project, try to open a sample.
Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

aggregator exe project not opening another project when published.
The same works fine in HTML.
I tried in Captivate 7 and 8 as well.

I'm having a similar issue. I've used a "home" button to return to the main menu of the course. However, all it does is return me to the last screen I was on. I've tried linking the button to a the aggregator htm and to the swf. Neither gives me the results I want. I currently have it set to open in the current window. However, I get the feeling that it's automatically invoking a bookmarking feature and I'm not getting the pop-up box asking me if I want to return to the last screen or not.

  • RoboHelp will not open Project

A few months back we purchased RoboHelp 8 and our help files were created in RoboHelp X5.  Initially, I could not compile the RBH-X5 help files in RBH8 and had to use the corporate RBH (RBH-X5) server.  Last month my computer was re-imaged and some software was upgraded to Windows 2008, MS Word 2007, etc.  I successfully compiled the help files (RBH8) the first part of last week.  I could not get past opening my help file by Friday.  Today, I cannot open the file.  It hoses while Reading Project Source.  What should I do?
    Thank you for your feedback!

    Hello,
I am facing the same problem. But my Robohelp 7 is installed in my local machine. I have Word 2003.
I am trying to edit a legacy Winhelp, which was earlier edited in Robohelp x5. The rtf files are in a central repository. I open them from my local robohelp. The project might open sometimes, usually the first time I open in a machine, but eventually will hang when I save or complie. After that the project will not open in that machine again. I have tried:
Copying all the files to local machine to work
Deleting all .doc files each time to open the project
Replacing Robohelp.dot, to see if the template might have been corrupted
Removing what I thought were problematic .rtfs
MY project is blockking now because I cannot edit this Winhelp. Please help.

  • Project not opening - help..

One of the projects that I worked on for a WEEK! is not openinhg. Ity just sits in limbo reading forever. Even after an hour it's still not open.  What can I do?  How do I use the backup project file to open it/ Or is there a way to fix it?
I really cannot throw out a weeks worth of work.
    Thanks guys

never mind. i figured it out!!! yeah!
Close FCPX.   Then you have delete the  "CurrentVersion." Then place the backup project file into the folder where the currentversion was and RENAME it backup to "CurrentVersion" and then reopen FCPX and it should work .
NOTE: You need to move the backup from the backup forlder to the project folder in the exact same spot the CurrentVersion was.

    Dears,
I am facing an issue where I am not able to open a project on a different computer after it was created on Premiere CC in my computer.

    Any idea?

  • Events and Projects not opening after Restoring from broken Hard drive.

    Hi all!
I have a major problem. After almost 3 months editing 6 projects within the same library the hard drive died. These projects are for a very important client and are worth a lot of time and money. We always backup all the raw material on 3 hard drives so we do have all the raw material, however FCPX for some reason had stopped making backups of the projects after it was updated to 10.1.2.  (The loss of these projects could mean the downfall of my production company.) We had a professional data recovery company recover all the data to a new hard drive without any problem, we can see the libraries and open them, HOWEVER the events and projects within the libraries DO NOT OPEN OR SHOW UP.
I have entered into the library in the finder and everything seems to be there, all the events files show up. But FCPX wont recognize them.
Any help would be much appreciated,
    Thanks, Tom
You can see here that everything is inside the library folder.
But they don't show up in FCPX.
    P.S
Also this file is showing up only after the data was restored.

The journal files are something that've been generated by the data recovery. It's completely hosed the data base.
I don't know if this will work. Try carefully removing all the journal files. Put them somewhere else in folders with the location where they came from. Also move out the currentversion.flexolibrary file. Hopefully without the flexolibrary file the application will generate a new one.  Then launch the application.
WHy did you continue to operate when there were no backups, without even a hard drive backup?
Wwhat version of the software are you using? 10.1.2?

  • Projects Not Opening with Multicam and Warp Stabilizer - "[..\..\src\TickTime.cpp-207]"

Editing a sequence with multiple nested multicam clips and warp stabilizer, if I close Premiere and reopen it, it says "Premiere Pro has encountered an error. [..\..\src\TickTime.cpp-207]" repeatedly until killed by Task Manager. I have restarted the computer, cleared the media cache and deleted preferences. I can import the sequence into another project and continue editing but if I close PPro I have to create another project and import the sequence again or I get the same error. Help!

    Hi Kevin!
That is great news. I had a feeling the issue would be gone in the Next PPro. The issue can be easily duplicated by following these steps in CS6:
    1) User warp stabilizer on several clips (like maybe 6 or more or so).
    2) Take two clips and nest them and sync them for multicam on the same timeline as the stabilized clips (NOTE: these two clips don't actually have to be sync'd...just grab any two clips, stack them on top of each other, highlight them both and right-click and choose "nest", then right-click again and "enable" multicam.
    3) Save project. Close project. Re-open project and you'll get the error.
If you do that in the NEXT version, does the error come up? Also, just while I have you...if you go into the settings of Warp Stabilizer, what is the default "method"? Is it still defaulted to "Subspace Warp" or did they smarten up and realize the option "Position, Scale, Rotation" is actually MUCH more effeciet causing less wobble and less cropping of the video 90% of the time? Just curious.
    Coltom Media Productions,
I feel your pain. What also stinks is that the error pops up again when you export (or I should say when you queue) up the project into AME. I originally thought the number of continues equalled the number of warps applied but that's not always the case. Although, the more warp stabilizers applied the more times you'll have to hit continue. It often goes in numbers divisible by four. Why do I know all this crazy, useless info...hours and hours of trying to "solve" the issue. Every project I do, every single week has more than 100 clips that are stabilized and multiple multicam sequences so I often have to hit "continue" on the error 300-400 times or more on EVERY project. Can't wait til the next version!
To see more on this issue you can see the original post on it here (note that the staff has recently (and graciously) led the charge to help isolate and resolve the issue):
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/956692?start=40&tstart=0
And then also, it definitely made my "Top 15 list" here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1179004
Good luck!!!...oh, one more thing...the project will open...you just have to keep hitting continue. Sucks, but again, hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

  • Projects not opening

I have a series of projects on one particular drive and for some reason they are not opening. Someone else created the projects on FCP 5, we are now using FCP 6. It asks if we want to update the project I click yes, the it says "updating project" with a striped status bar and never opens the project. I check the status of FCP and I says it is "not responding". This happens every time with a number of different projects and on two different computers. I get no error messages. How can I fix this.
    Vince

Some of the exiting files are still ok most don't work though. I created a new project and that still works. I moved one of the projects I was having trouble with to another drive to see if could open it there like you said, but it still will not open.

  • Linked Projects Not Opening

Some background first... I am working in Captivate 2
developing an elearning tool for my company. This tool will be
delivered through the SCORM 1.2 LMS system our company uses. I am
new to Captivate and have spent 4 weeks on this project.
I have nothing to do with the LMS administration, I am only
developing the tool in Captivate, then I will submit the SWF file
    to our LMS administrator.
Well, I am remote so I have been developing these projects
and uploading the SWF file to the Adobe Connect Enterprise Server
in order to provide a link for my end users, so they may review and
submit changes back to me. It has all worked flawlessly and after 4
weeks I am done developing getting ready to record audio and have
run into a snag. Up until now I have been sending them the project
in TWO Parts (TWO Captivate Projects). Lets say Part I and Part II.
I have set the Project End preferences to open Part II in the
Curent window, so the user is just redirected. When I publish the
project to open the Part II SWF file, Part I runs, but Part two
will not open? I have tried everything I can think of, and I get
redirected back to Adobe Connect Enterpise saying file not found.
Then I tried linking the Part II HTML file (instead of the
SWF zip file) and it does work, but that is only because it is on
my computer and the HTML defaults to my harddrive. When I upload
the file to Adobe Connect enterprise and run the URL, Part II still
will not come up, but no errors, it does not even look to try to
open something. I also tried to include all of the Part II zipped
files in with the Part I files, by zipping them together and
uploading in to Adobe Connect Enterpise that way, and that did not
work. What do I need to do? How do I make sure the output file has
all that it needs to get the content to open as it is set up?
    Mel

I'm not sure how to resolve the problem.
The reason for the issue, however, may be that when you make
    a Captivate
    file SCORM compliant, it makes assumptions about the file;
    such as when
it ends, it's complete and may send that status to the LMS.
Even if that doesn't occur, if you have scored interactions
    in the
lesson, I'm not sure how the second file's interactions will
    coexist
with the first. There's a chance, I think, that the second
    file's
interactions will overwrite the interaction results and score
    of the
    first file.
In short, I don't think what you're trying to do is a good
    idea (if even
possible) with the SCORM requirements you have and
    Captivate's fairly
limited customizing capabilities (you can't tell the first
    file to 'be
    aware' of the second file).
So barring any other solutions (which there may be?), I'd
    stick with
delivering one file for each lesson - which is a better
    approach IMO
anyway, using the LMS as the 'menu'. Or, if you must deliver
    them
together, I think you'll need to invest time into integrating
    them into
an overall 'shell' program that can gather the two lessons
    scores and
send them cumulatively to the LMS, as well as negate any
    'finish' LMS
command the first file may send and any 'initialize' command
    the second
    file would send.

  • Linked project not opening in current window

I built several projects and one links to another on the last
slide of each project. I embedded the first project into my course
window in my LMS and it plays it that window just like I want, when
it gets to the last slide it starts the next project like it
should, but in a new window, rather than in the current window. I
have specified to open the new project in current window on the
last slide of the previous project, but still opens a new window.
My LMS will not use the HTM file, so I am using the swf file
directly with the skin. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Emailed iMovie project not opening.

I recently made an iMovie project and emailed it to myself. But when i tried to open it on another computer, it just sent me right back to my email. I have no idea what is going on so....please help asap for this is a school project.

The iMovie project file references the clips in the associated Event (or Events). The clips are not actually copied to the project. That's why projects have a relatively small file size (and you were able to email it). The project file keeps track of all your edits, together with added music and photos, among other things.
So, you need to have all the media together in one location if you wish to edit your project on another computer. You will need an external hard drive for this, formatted as Max OS Extended (Journaled).
This excellent User Tip by AppleMan1958 describes how to move Events and Project to an external disk, and how to Consolidate media so that a project can be edited on another computer:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4141
It's essential that all the moves/copies are done from within iMovie - NOT from the Finder.
    John
EDIT: Sorry, just noticed that you had posted this question on 12 March (not sure how i came across it). Hope it's not too late! Otherwise, I trust that you got it all working OK and were able to complete your school project on time.

  • Mainstage project not opening

I made some changes to my normal mainstage project today, and saved the modified project as a new project. It won't open - gets to "playback" in the opening sequence then hangs infinitely.

  • Imovie project not opening in imovie

    Help anyone?
My son has been editing a video of his grandfather, who died last year.  Sadly we have either exported or copied this video and now it does not appear in the imovie Project Library.  However the file is in the imovie Projects folder, but we cannot open it from there.  The icon in imovie projects shows an image, which is hopeful, but doesn't show a file size, which is worrying.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a solution?
Am using Imac 10.6 with imovie version 9.0.4
    Many thanks
    Susannah

If you click the Project Library in the upper left corner, it should go to Edit Project. There you should find it.
You said it was in your Projects folder. Check to see if your clips are in the Events folder. Hopefully, nothing was deleted.
