RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English UI - where to obtain

I need to buy a version of RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English
User Interface. I used to own this product, but we traded it on a
Simplified Chinese version maybe around 2003 when the company was
eHelp. Currently, Adobe no longer sells or supports the Asian
editions. XLSoft sells RoboHelp X3 Japanese with a Japanese user
interface, but I really need the English UI. Does anyone know of a
source for RoboHelp X3 Japanese with English User Interface?

Have you checked
this link?
I've no idea if is the English or Japanese interface they are
selling as I have fallen asleep the afternoon they taught us
Japanese at school.

  • Smartform Output with English & Japanese languages

Could anybody worked before on this. Please provide me the settings need to be done inorder to print both langauages using a single smartforms.

For Japanese characters to dispaly use the font JPMINCHO
For printing use the device type as JPSAPWIN.

  • I am in China and need to buy a MacBook Pro with English as the core language. Where can I find one?

I am in Jilin China and went to the local Apple resale store, but all the MacBook Pros with Retina Display have Chinese as the core language, and the store workers couldn't help me get English.  Where can I buy a BacBook Pro in China that has English as the core language?

Not very bright of them.  Every Mac can be switched among 33 languages, including English, in a few seconds via the system preferences.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14211
    And in Chinese
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14211?viewlocale=zh_CN
Along with that, when setting up a brand new Mac (or after install an fresh version of the OS), the first thing you have do is: select a language. That choice sets the language for the rest of the setup and the default. Pick English and you're done.
But as Tom mentioned, that can always be changed.

But cant use Japanese to English dictionary or Japanese dictionary in it.
When I search any English meaning for Japanese word in iBooks ,
a page show up with "No definition found" in middle of the screen
and "Mange" "Search Web" on two different lower corner side of the screen.
If I download the dictionary from "manage" I can use that before locking the screen..

  • Japanese and English together in database table?

Hi all, on to my next challenge... ;-)
I'm wondering if there are any issues with database tables that contain both Japanese and English (Roman) characters. I'm in the process of establishing an online language-learning site that will target (mostly) customers in Japan. As part of the registration process, I need to collect names in kanji (Japanese characters) along with other information in roman script (email, username, password, etc.).
Right now I have these fields set to utf8_unicode_ci collation. Is this correct? Am I confusing character set with collation? I doubt very many of you have experience in this area, but if you do I'd love to hear from you.
    David

    Hi,
I don´t know if my answer is of help in your particular situation -- however, I once made a CMS with ADDT where form pages had to contain both english & russian input fields, I succeeded having them display the respective chars differently this way:
    1. setting the page´s "content-type" to UTF-8
    2. no need to apply something to the "english" aka roman form fields, but...
    3. adding the following bold stuff to the "value" of a russian field, example for PHP:
    " size="100" maxlength="240" />
I actually didn´t define any "collation" for the MySQL database, so I can´t say something about that.

  • OT: Typing in Japanese and English

I'm thinking of buying a laptop or netbook for a friend who
    speaks
English and Spanish and is studying Japanese. So, pardon the
    dumb
question, but how do you type Japanese on a computer?
Obviously, the computers I buy are set up for English, while
    computers
sold in Japan are set up for Japanese. But can one install
    Japanese
fonts on an "English" computer? And could one then buy a
    Japanese
keyboard? And where does one obtain Japanese fonts and
    keyboards?
Realistically, I'd probably be purchasing a Linux netbook,
    though I'd
spring for another Mac if I inherit some money. :)
    Thanks.

Wow, that's interesting. QWERTY simply refers to a "normal"
    keyboard,
right? In other words, the Japanese learn to associate
    particular
Japanese characters with the keys A, B and so on?
And Kanji and Kana are Japanese dialects? I went into System
    Preferences
    > International > Input Menu and found "Japanese Kana
    palette" near the
very top. I checked Kana and unchecked U.S. English, but I'm
    still
typing English characters. But I'll figure that one out.
In your estimation, would a Japanese keyboard still be a nice
    gift for a
student who's just learning Japanese? Would it have some
    educational
value, or would it only hinder them in learning the normal
    way of typing
    Japanese on a QWERTY keyboard?
    Thanks.

  • Customer Master Idoc gets some fields as garbage with English Lang

    Hi
We are using SAP 4.6C MDMP system. This is not unicode. We are sending customer idoc. The customers are created in Japanese and English language.
When we login in Japanese language and send IDOC then the content looks fine.
When we login with English language and send IDOC then we get some garbage character. This is because the customer was created in Japanese language and the IDOC is being sent with English language code page.
I am thinking of copying  the RBDMIDOC program and include a logic which will check if the customer is Japanese and logon language is Japanese only then send the idoc.Similarly if customer is not japanese and logonlanguage is not japanese then send the idoc.
Has any one faced issue with IDOC and the data being maintained in different language.
    Please share your thoughts.

  • Cardinality estimator 2014 is off with OR in where clause

Here is my test setup on SQL Server 2014.
    -- Create big table
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Store](
    Id int IDENTITY(1,1) NOT NULL,
    City int NOT NULL,
    Size int NOT NULL,
    Name varchar(max) NULL,
CONSTRAINT [PK_Store] PRIMARY KEY CLUSTERED ([Id] ASC)
    GO
CREATE NONCLUSTERED INDEX [IX_Store] ON [dbo].[Store] (City ASC, Size ASC)
    GO
    -- Fill with 100k rows
    INSERT Store
    SELECT i % 101, i % 11, 'Store ' + CAST(i AS VARCHAR)
    FROM
(SELECT TOP 100000 ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY s1.[object_id]) AS i
    FROM sys.all_objects s1, sys.all_objects s2) numbers
    GO
    -- Create small table
CREATE TABLE #StoreRequest (City int NOT NULL, Size int NOT NULL)
    GO
    INSERT #StoreRequest values (55, 1)
    INSERT #StoreRequest values (66, 2)
Now I execute the following query (I force the index to show statistics estimates)
    SELECT s.City
    FROM #StoreRequest AS r
INNER JOIN Store AS s WITH(INDEX(IX_Store), FORCESEEK)
    ON s.City = r.City AND s.Size = r.Size
    WHERE s.Size <> 1 OR r.City <> 55
Here are the estimates that I get (I'm not allowed to upload pictures):
    Index Seek IX_Store
    Actual Number of Rows: 90
    Estimated Number of Rows: 50000
Fixing WHERE clause to use one table not two makes the estimate perfect:
    SELECT s.City
    FROM #StoreRequest AS r
INNER JOIN Store AS s WITH(INDEX(IX_Store), FORCESEEK)
    ON s.City = r.City AND s.Size = r.Size
    WHERE s.Size <> 1 OR s.City <> 55
    Index Seek IX_Store
    Actual Number of Rows: 90
    Estimated Number of Rows: 89.74
Switching to 2012 compatibility mode gives estimate of 1 in both cases:
    Index Seek IX_Store
    Actual Number of Rows: 90
    Estimated Number of Rows: 1
Could anyone explain the first result? I'm a bit worried about it. The fix in this case is trivial, but this problem gave us quite some headache in more complex real life queries with multiple joins.
    Thank you!

But not full statistics on a field basis, just sometimes some default stats like total row count that some plans will build.  Even your StoreRequest table only has one two-field index that will have a full histogram.
But I've seen SQL Server make massively bad plans on two-field indexes.
I've seen SQL Server go wrong one-column indexes, so that is not a very relevant point.
Temp tables or not, the estimate here is clearly incorrect. SQL Server knows the density of Size and City. It knows the cardinality of the temp table. The density information gives how many rows the the join will produce. The WHERE clause will then remove
a certain number of rows. With no statistics for the temp table, it does not now how many, but it will apply some standard guess.
50000 is a completely bogus number, because the join cannot produce that many rows, and SQL Server is able to compute the join with out the WHERE clause decently. (Well, it estimates 90, when the number is 180.) No, this is obviously a case of the cardinality
    estimator giving up completely.
It is worth noting that both these WHERE clauses gives reasonable estimates:
     WHERE r.Size <> 11 OR r.City <> 550
     WHERE s.Size <> 11 OR s.City <> 550
Whereas these two gives the spooky 50000:
     WHERE s.Size <> 11 OR r.City <> 550
     WHERE r.Size <> 11 OR s.City <> 550
