RoboHelp7 without help!?!

Nowadays you get a first step or content help for every
software when you press F1.
What happens in RoboHelp7 (as i understood a software to
produce help! LOL) ?
It opens a context sensitve help! RoboHelp HTML - Help:
BUT: You can't search, you can't ...hm so many things you
can't ... Not worth to list them here!
Next try: Menu - Help - Content & Index
At least it opens a searchable help window with content.
Great. I thought.

Did anybody anytime found anything with that help.

BUT alltogether, for my part I think about RoboHelp7 as a
SCANDAL.
And still I wait for a response of a bug report from monday I
sent to Adobe: Nested frames in a table of a FM8 lead to a crash.
But this is another story.
I'm the only one here who feels outsmarted to pay money for
this software?
At least I got FM8 with this TCS.

What offline help do you mean.
The one which opens from the menu, the one which open when
you press F1?

Hi all, I'm trying to create a behavior that doesn't require
a behavior
function, is this possible using the behaviors API?
Dreamweaver requires a behaviorFunction() function in
behaviors, and
returnig an empty string results in a message "The Action

Sure I can create proxy functions that in turn call the
actual command (eg
alert()) but this seems a lot of overhead to put into the
document.

So what i'm doing now is inserting a proxy function to call

[solved] vimperator without help?

For some reason vimperator :help command is not working anymore (plus I lost tab views, etc). Is this due to a firefox upgrade?
I currently have the 3.6.3-1 version installed.

Yeah, I had that problem. Stale files or some such. You need to remove them:

heres the deal whenever i try to download windows media players for mac, all that comes up is like an icon that looks like a sheet of paper. Then scripteditor or sumthin like that opens and says its unscriptable(whatever that means). seriously guys i need help im not some guy who spends hours on a computer everyday. i just wanted a computer that would work and everthing but this works.

Dynamic_size graph won't fill the space on showDetailItem without "help"

Hello everybody, how are you ? I'm using JDeveloper 12.1.2.0.0.
I'm having a lot of difficulties to make my dvt:barGraph expand to fill my showDetailedItem, which is inside a panelSplitter.
I am able to make the dvt:barGraph expand but first i have to fullscreen the browser and then make to normal so it will refresh and update the dimensions.
After i do it with the browser (F11 twice), the graph already shows the dimensions correctly but only after i do that.

Do you have any idea of how to make the graph to calculate the appropriate dimensions on load?

Automated server-based multicast session won't repeat without help

When I set up an ZENWorks Imaging multicast session on a server using
ConsoleOne, the session is no longer checked after the multicast session
runs.
I manage a fairly large school envrironment, and am trying to automate the
process of setting up an unattended daily imaging session in a computer lab
using ZfD 4.01 (fully patched). Wake-on-LAN is working fine, and PXE is
working fine, but the imaging only happens if the checkbox for "Multicast
Sessions Configured for this Server" is checked. Every time it runs, the
checkbox gets UN-checked!!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!
The whole point of doing this is to eliminate the need for manual
intervention! I've never seen this issue discussed anywhere, and it's
driving me nuts. Is there a place I'm overlooking where this can be
changed?

CD burning frustration - i may throw something out a window without help!

This is the first time I have used itunes to burn a cd, mainly because I have downloaded a few tracks from the store.
I am trying to create a cd that I can play in my car, so its a mix of downloaded files and ones from my cd collection. All the files play fine in itunes and on my ipod touch
But when I burn an audio cd i get a list of files named sequentially, all 1kb size with a modified date of 01/01/1995. Oh and they also dont play on my computer, cd player or car player.
What am i doing wrong here, its very frustrating and using up all my cd-r's!!!

I have a small query:
I need to bring in Application Approval WorkFlow in Orchestrator without help of any ticketing tool.
We have a separate custom application portal for logging a request as a Application Catalog, so in backend I need to incorporate/build a custom workflow for Approval process, in such a way that it should ask for manager’s approval, once manager
approves the installation of the application should carry on..
A mail has to be triggered for the manager for approval workflow, once the manager approves the flow should take on and an end user should be notified after the flow completion with an application installed state.
NOTE: I do not want to integrate any ticketing tool for the same.
Can I achieve the same via AD or any scripts, or via SCCM database where the users managers will be mapped ...??
Request you to share your opinion on the same.. (Best PLAN OF ACTION) in order to suffice the requirement would be helpful.
Please suggest any alternatives in order to achieve the same.....

PROBLEM
Apple will not replace, as promised, the iPhone 5 (A1429 GSM model) that they gave me in London, UK, with an iPhone 5 (A1429 CDMA model).
BACKGROUND
My iPhone 5 (A1429 CDMA model) was purchased this year in September on an existing Verizon Wireless (VZW) line using an upgrade. The purchase took place in California and the product was picked up using Apple Personal Pickup through the Cerritos Apple Retail Store. I will refer to this phone at my "original" phone.
The original phone was taken into the Apple Store Regent Street in London, England, UK on November 15, 2012. The reason for this visit was that my original phone's camera would not focus.
The Apple Store Regent Street verified there was a hardware problem but was unable to replace the part.
The Apple Store Regent Street had me call the US AppleCare. At first they denied support, but then a supervisor, name can be provided upon request, approved the replacement of my original phone with an iPhone 5 (A1429 GSM model) as a temporary solution until I got back in the US. And approved that the GSM model would be replaced with a CDMA model when I came back to the US. I will refer to the GSM model as the "replacement". They gave me the case number --------.
The Apple Store Regent Street gave me the replacement and took the original. The first replacement did not work for reasons I do not understand. They switched out the replacement several times until they got one that worked on the T-Mobile nano SIM card that I had purchased in England, UK. Please refer to the repair IDs below to track the progression of phones given to me at the Apple Store Regent Street:

The following case number was either created in the UK or France between November 15 to November 24. Case number -----------
On November 19, 2012, I went to France and purchased an Orange nano SIM card. The phone would not activate like the first two repair IDs above.
On November 24, 2012, I went to the Apple Store Les Quatre Temps. The Genius told me that my CDMA phone should not have been replaced with a GSM model in the UK and that this was clearly Apple's fault. They had me call the AppleCare UK.
My issue was escalated to a tier 2 UK AppleCare agent. His contact information can be provided upon request. He gave me the case number -----------.
The UK tier 2 agent became upset when he heard that I was calling from France and that the France Apple Store or France AppleCare were not helping me. He told me that my CDMA phone should not have been replaced with a GSM model in the UK and that this was clearly Apple's fault.
The UK tier 2 agent said he was working with engineers to resolve my problem and would call me back the next day on November 25, 2012.
While at the Apple Store Les Quatre Temps, a Genius switched the phone given to from repair ID ----------- with a new one that worked with the French nano SIM card.
Also, while at the Apple Store Les Quatre Temps, I initiated a call with AppleCare US to get assistance because it seems that AppleCare UK was more upset that France was not addressing the issue rather than helping me. I have email correspondance with the AppleCare US representative.
A Genius at the Apple Store Les Quatre Temps switched the replacement with a new GSM model that worked on the French SIM card but would not work if restored, received a software update, or had the SIM card changed. This is the same temporary solution I received from the Apple Store Regent Street in the UK.
By this point, I had spent between 12-14 hours in Apple Store or on the phone with an AppleCare representative.
Upon arriving in the US, I went to my local Apple Store Brea Mall to have the replacement switched with a CDMA model. They could not support me. He told me that my CDMA phone should not have been replaced with a GSM model in the UK and that this was clearly Apple's fault. My instructions were to call AppleCare US again.
My call with AppleCare US was escalated to a Senior Advisor, name can be provided upon request, and they gave me the case number -----------. After being on the phone with him for over an hour, his instructions were to call the Apple Store Regent Street and tell them to review my latest notes. They were to process a refund for a full retail priced iPhone 5 64BG black onto my credit card so that I could use that money to buy a new iPhone 5 64GB black at the Apple Store Brea Mall to reoslve the problem.
The Apple Store Regent Street did not process my refund. He, name can be provided upon request, told me that the AppleCare US did not do a good job reviewing my case, that they were incapable of getting to the bottom of it like they were, and instructed me to call AppleCare US and tell them to review this case number and this repair id. I asked if he read the notes from the AppleCare US Senior Advisor and he would not confirm nor deny. When I offered to give him the case number he accepted but it seemed like would do no good. Our call was disconnected. When I tried calling back the stores automated system was turned on and I could not get back through.
Now I have the full retail price of an iPhone 5 64GB black CDMA on my credit card and Apple will not process the refund as they said they would.
I've, at this point, spent between 14-16 hours at Apple Stores or on the phone with AppleCare representatives, and still do not have the problem resolved.
SOLUTION
AppleCare US and AppleCare Europe need to resolve their internal family issues without further impacting their customers.
Apple is to process a refund to my credit card for the cost of a full retail priced iPhone 5 64GB black.
DESIRED OUTCOMES
I have an iPhone 5 (A1429 CDMA model) that works in the US on VZW as it did before I received the replacement phone in the UK.
Apple covers the cost of the solution because I did not create the problem.
Apple resolves their internal issue without costing me more time, energy, or money.
This becomes a case study for AppleCare so that future customers are not impacted like I have been by their support system.
Does anyone have recommendations for me?

Thanks, but I've been on the phone with AppleCare US (where I am and live) and AppleCare UK. They continue bouncing me back and forth without helping resolve the problem.
Perhaps someones knows how to further escalate the issue at Apple?

Usb + firewire issues = kernel panic - help needed!!

Hello, and please forgive my english, I'll do my best!
So, i have a 1,25 Ghz MDD G4, with 2 x 256 Mo RAM sticks (at first), running mac OS 10.3.9.
As the original HD is too small, I work with my documents on an external firewire HD. The HD is plugged on a third party/PCI firwire card that went down.
On the same day I bought a new firewire card (trendNet, it was said to be mac compatible form mac OS 8.6) and 4 x 512 Mo of Ram (Hynix).
It worked just fine for a week and suddenly my mouse froze (and keyboard too > the mouse is plugged on the keyboard). Having no control on my mac (which seemed ok despite the usb deconnection) I had to hard reboot on the central Unit.
I unplugged the usb hub that occupied mu 2nd usb port (there was a wacom tablet and a flsh memory key on it). I left just the keyboard plugged (and mouse plugged on keyboard).
It was fine for... 2 or 3 hours and then it started again > mouse + keyboard deconnecting/freezing (the keyboard is a mac one, the mouse a microsoft one -optical-).
As the small red optical light of the mouse turns off when the mouse freezes I first thought the mouse or keyboard itself was the culprit.
I tested both of them them on a macbook and they worked just fine (never had a problem with them).
I ran disk utility, repaired the permissions. And it seemed better for a couple of hours.
When it happened again I unplugged the keyboard and plugged it on the 2nd usb port (which was free since I had unplugged everything else) > the mouse "came back to life" and I didn't have to reboot. But it happened again, like 2-3 times (every hour/half hour) until swapping the usb plug on the UC doesn't solve the problem anymore > hard reboot again...
Then I tried EVERYTHING
booting with techtool CD > everything ok, no pb found
running onyx to empty the cash and rerepair the permissions > ibid, no pb
resetting the PRAM with cmd-alt-p-r
resetting the PMU
resetting the usb and firewire ports after each hard reboot
cleaning the dust
removing my old scsi pci card (not used for ages)
moving my new firewire card on an another slot
installing a firmware update
nothing has solved the problem... it seems to arrive randomly, but mostly (more frequently) when working with several apps open.
The cursor seems to freeze for very very short periods (as a warning!) until it freezes for good > it's exactly as if the usb didn't deliver any electricity for micro laps of time (and it is the case I guess as my optical mouse light turns off).
So I change the usb plug into the other port and it works for a while, just as if only one usb port was functional at a time, but it always ends with a hard reboot (no choice).
It's always scary but it's also very annoying as my Western Digital Mybook external drive refuses to mount on desktop after hard reboots... I have to unplug it, replug it, restart etc... well this HD is a pain but I guess it's because it's in FAT 32 (since I forgot to format it when I bought it). So I don't bother too much about the HD itself, but however it seems that the firewire card suffers from this : I have a lot of trouble mounting 2 disks at a time (but with all this I need to backup!). It's like the fiwewire ports (of the pci card) suffered from the same pain as the usb : one at the time! and when I finally mount both external HDs, if I unplug one (after unmounting it and switching it off) the computer freezes.
Then one day I opened itunes, and... kernel panic...
That was 4 days ago I think and I've had like 3-4 KP since then (one a day). These kernel panic happen just as randomly as my usb deconnexions...
Today I tried my last chance : removing the new Hynix ram and putting back my 2 old 256 rams.
It was ok for a pair of hours and then > mouse freeze and kernel panic again...
I reaaally need help, I don't know what to do anymore. I've spent my last week unplugging usb plugs, opening my UC, repairing permissions etc...
now I feel helpless...

The problems with the card at startup are probably creating an unstable condition, which in turn is causing kernel panics later on.
Basic things first, whenever you change the hardware setup, e.g. RAM and adding cards, it's a really good idea to reset-PRAM. Did you do that? Try that first, it's simple and easy enough to try.
If resetting the PRAM doesn't help, then try the new PCI card. I re-read your post a few times, but I haven't seen whether you tried removing the PCI FW/USB card to see if that helps. Try your mouse and some other devises on the native USB and FW ports. If you're stable, then it very well could be the card.
Of course there's also the question of the RAM, which you pulled without help. Again, after any change of the hardware (adding RAM, pulling RAM, adding/pulling cards, etc.) even during testing, reset the PRAM at startup.
With new RAM it's usually a good idea to test it, with say AHT CD or Rember. If you test, you might want to do this without the new card. It's a little tricky right now because you added 2 new pieces of HW (RAM and FW/USB card) either which or both could cause the problems you're seeing. OS X is picky about RAM, and the MDDs in particular are extremely picky about RAM as far as Apple HW is concerned.
Lots of kernel panics can eventually cause damage to the OS X installation. So in the end, it may be worth re-installing. But, before you take that route. Try the simple things like removing the PCI FW/USB card & testing, and testing the RAM. Take it one step at a time.

Need help on filtering out one record from a report and open in new page

Hi I am new and embarrassed to write in the forum asking silly questions. Thing is I am learning all from scratch without help from anyone. I have created a database (have previous knowledge only from Access) and have managed to create a beautiful report from a search filter. This report lines up several records matching what I needed. Now, I want to make the whole report with hyperlinks to a detailed page on each of the records in the report. I have tried using the feature where one can make one column hyperlinked and redirect to a new page, where I am getting all the records again - instead of only getting the record I am clicking on. I have looked and looked in the forums without finding solution and I have tested and tried various methods without luck. I am suspecting that I need some sort of knowledge on how to write a select query with where conditions that can apply to filtering out a record from one report to get another detailed on only one object (i.e. record). :/ Stupid or what?

What you need to look into is two things:
1) The link you defined, needs to set additional attributes for the target page. In the "Column Link" box, you have set the link to "Page in this Application" and followed by the page number (let's say, Page 10). Below that, you should set an Item to an item on you target page (let's call that P10_PRODUCT_ID). This item should be the primary key of your detail table (on the targe page). You can select this item from the popup list. The Value of the item should be picked from a popup list as well, being the value from the record you clicked on. This should then transfer your selected item to your page. The URL will then have something like P10_PRODUCT_ID:5 at the end.
2) On the target page, 10, you must change the query slightly, so that it adds a WHERE clause:
WHERE PRODUCT_ID = :P10_PRODUCT_ID
Now, you should be set.

How to make a backup without password

I have tried to create new backups, but every time as they are with a lock on. have deleted itunes on pc n without help. bought a new computer without help. my problem is that I have two girls who have switched phones, the mobile phone that owned the first desired content into the new. Now that it has acquired the old iphone ready and ruin the iphone and I wish to make a backup of it on the new iphone her but each time the backup is locked with a code. there is none of them have made some code!!!!!! only code code they have had is a code to open the phone. we have gone in between all the codes they have used but there is no acting. I've talked with apple suport on several occasions and they say that it is only making a backup without code.
So my question is how the **** do I do it?

You will have to delete ALL of your existing backups. Under preferences in itunes(under the edit menu if using Windows), Devices, delet any and all backups that are listed. Connect your 3GS, right click in the device pane & select backup. You should be able to restore that backup to your iphone 4.

Please Help! Need thumbnails from Album SE imagewell cache to help recover from HD crash

I have 8 years of photos organized in Album SE. The external drive that I keep the photos on crashed in the middle of a backup operation. I lost around 1/2 of my photos. I was able to recover thousands of JPEGS from the drive with recovery software but they are simply generically named 00001.jpg, 00002,jpg, etc. through 11321.jpg and are devoid of any metadata. I have found image comparison software that can recognize duplicate images between hard drive directories (even with resizing or resolution differences). My only hope to recover my album is to somehow retrieve the thumbnails from the cache, save them by their original filenames, and then use the duplicate image finder along with some scripting to match, identify, and then rename the recovered files. I can then relink them to the album and be fully restored.
I have gotten as far as finding the tn.4.cache file, and can get to the metadata through MS Access; but of course I have no way of getting the thumbnails out of the cache without help.
These photos are from my toddler's first few years and I also lost many recent pictures of my 3-week old son. If anybody from Adobe or any users could provide any assistance I would greatly appreciate it.

The images that I have recovered are at 1200x1600, there are just way too many of them to sort through and they have lost their original names and metadata in recovery. My objective is to identify and rename them using a comparison tool so they are organized again; if not I have to visually sort through 11 thousand images to find the one I want.
I have been using the image comparison software to try to eliminate duplicate images from my recovery. It has proven successful at matching up 1200x1600 originals with 56x75 thumbnail files of the same images.
Yes, if I screen capture, crop, and save each missing image I can rebuild my collection either as 300x400 images or link them back through comparison to 1200x1600, but there are thousands of these. I can't capture, crop, save, and rename thousands of files. The frustrating thing is that work is already done for me in the image cache. Are there no Adobe people browsing these groups that could cut me some slack?

I transferred Elements with Time Machine from a Mac OS 10.6 machine to a newer Mac with 10.9.4. I've printed the 5 solutions, but can't get through them without help; I'm 73!

You can't do that, ever. Elements is not a tidy package like most mac apps and you can never move an installed copy. You must always install from scratch on a new machine.By trying to move it you've made extra work for yourself. You will need to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
after which you can go around and manually delete what you can find in the applications folder, hard drive>library>application support>adobe, and your username>library>preferences.
Then install from your original media.
