Rogue App or Virus on iphone, help needed to delete

Greetings,
Recently my phone starting going haywire - I would click an app or try to text and it would appear that I pressed a different app or when I would type it would enter a bunch of other letters or numbers. I discovered a new app on my phone that I did not download. I only get apps from iTunes and I did not jailbreak my phone. I have included a pic of the program called mfiTmitupxhw (bottom right of pic). When I try to delete it, it says " Delete Icon ~ Are you sure you want to delete the bookmark "mfiTmitupxhw"?" I always cancel because I want the program or app deleted, not just the bookmark. I am worried the program is running in the background. I tried syncing with iTunes, but it was still there. Can anyone help me with deleting this program? The phone seems to be running okay now, no funky stuff happening, but I'm still worried what the heck this program is! Thanks!

Okay, it took me a little bit but I finally see what you are both saying and see what probably happened. Still not sure what made my phone go haywire, but it seems to be resolved. I'm hoping to get a new phone soon anyway and will leave this old one far, far away.

The only solution is to erase the apps and purchase them through your own iTunes Store account. You have no legal right to those apps - the license is not tranferrable - and cannot in any case update them without the orginal purchaser's Apple ID.

There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

Help needed to DELETE a System created with Logical Components assigned.

Hi,
I created a system in SMSY in my Solution Manager system. I unknowingly assigned the system to Logical Components. Now on finding that it was a worng way of configuration I need to DELETE the system and recreate it using the option "Create new system with assistant."
Please help me in resolving the issue. I am not getting an option from the were used list to delete the assignment of the system.
Expecting a reply at the earliest.

Dear friend
You can remove the system from the logical component by clicking on display/change and removing the SID from the system assignments,
just select the blank field from F4 help.
Once you have removed the system from the logical component, you will be able to delete the system.

App without name on iPhone can't be deleted

Hi,
This morning I noticed this app on my phone. I can't delete it.
I think it appeared after trying to download some apps this morning but the app store seemed to be down for a while.
I have tried with no luck:
1. logging out and then back in to the app store
2. Rebooting phone
3. looking in purchased section on phone to see if there is an app that isn't on the phone but says it is.
4. Turning phone off and on.
5. Downloading other apps.
Any other suggestions to get rid of this?

Sometimes if you tap on an icon that says Waiting....it will resume downloading. Have you given that a try?
Have you reset your phone (pressing & holding the home & sleep/wake buttons till it restarts)?

Friend deleted app (my disk for iphone) and need to get back data from my icloud backup...need help!

     I had this app called my disk (app store name is: Lock photo+video safe - secure folder manager to protect private photos vault & hide secret picture file privacy) This app lets me have two passwords with different pictures and videos in each of them. It's a really great app.
     My friend deleted the app by "accident" and I need to get the app back with all my data. I have a backup of the app on my icloud backup that was taken place two months ago (around same time the app was deleted). It shows up in the cloud saying I have 4gb worth of that app in the cloud. I restore my phone back to that backup but the app data is not there. I wasn't sure if I had to wait till my iphone backs up everything (like music and pictures for example) for it to show up but as soon as the app downloaded I opened it hapilly knowing I have my data back but unfortunately it was not there. In the app itself, there's an option to backup from the cloud but it just brings up this window that says you can back up from the cloud (doesn't have a place to hit that says restore or anything).
     Is there something I am doing wrong? Can anyone help me? I really need that app data back because I have pictures of memories with friends and family inside that app that I do not have anywhere else. Once i get the back back ill be sure to save the photos onto my computer just incase anything goes wrong again.

It seems that in a case like this you'd need to reset the device to factory settings and then restore from iCloud backup.
Sadly the reset to factory settings could cause more trouble than its worth.
Apple's iCloud backup, could, but does not let the user restore one app or its data.
You'll also find that even though that App's data is in the cloud, you as its owner do not have access to it.

I have lost my iphone and did not have the "find my iphone" app on my phone. Can I still go to icloud and use this app from there to find the phone or does the app have to be installed?

The Find My app is what you use on another device to find the lost one. What you need to have done with the first one is enable it in user settings. If you didn't do that then it is too late to do that now.

IPhone Help Needed

I have a problem with my iphone, last weekend my phone crashed and said I needed to restore my phone using iTunes, however when I plugged it into my pc I was required to enter my passcode (I know my passcode number). However when I opened the slide on the screen to enter the pass code, all I can do is dial the emergency numbers, is there any way of restoring without entering the pass code.

i recently bought an Iphone and want to move my apps from my ipod to it.
I trouble is, when I do I loose all my saved game data.
I was only 8 levels away from finishing angry birds and now I have to start all over again?!!

3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is not stored with the app. 3rd party app settings and data created and stored by a 3rd party app is included with your iPod Touch backup and with your iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
You can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes from the backup for your iPod Touch. This would be the only way if this is possible. It should be but not something I have done.

[iPhone] Help Needed with 'crash' on Button action handling

Hi, I've just started testing the water with the iPhone and decided the best way to learn would be to try to create a fairly simple application to switch between screens on a menu when a button is clicked. However I'm having problems handling my 'aButtonHasBeenClicked' action as the program crashes when it attempts to do so.
I think my problem stems from how I set up my view controllers so before I start posting any code I have a question about how to use them correctly.
In my Main Application window xib file, created in Interface Builder I have the application delegate object which is linked to a blank Window and an outlet to a class which when instantiated will inherit from UIViewController and load the view controller from a separate xib file (this is instead of having the actual view controller object in the same xib and connecting it up in interface builder)
The separate xib file contains a view controller and a view with a UIButton whose 'Touch Up Inside' event is linked to an action in the view controller to handle the button click.
Is this a suitable method to use for the view controller? i.e. instead of having a view controller in the same xib as the application delegate and connecting it to my class outlet in interface builder, should I be able to load the view controller from a separate xib file and still access it from the class outlet in the delegate file? If I should be able to do that, then I'll post more detailed code as it must be some other problem I'm having.
Btw, what happens with my program is that everything is displayed fine in the simulator but the it hangs when the button is clicked without actually crashing.

How did you get this working?
The only way I got this to work, is to wire the actions to the View Class instead of the controller.

With new IOS, can't synch all my "top rated" music to iPhone--Help needed

I've just updated my iPhone 3gs to the latest OS. But in synching my music, I only get a portion of my "Top Rated" and "recently added" music...any suggestions on how to get all of them?
I've re-started and re-synched my computer and iPhone several times.

The first thing I would do is try to use Image Capture on the Mac to pull all of the Photos off your old iPhone. The Image Capture program is found in your Applications/Utilities folder. After you have them on your computer, download the free program Pic Share It. Install the free version of it on your iPad and then drag and drop the photos from your Mac to your iPad. Here's a video showing you how it work.

Help needed - events deleted from calendar?

Saturday morning some events for the coming week disappeard from ICal on both my Mac and IPhone. Tuesday am they were back. Now things are gone for Thursday on both systems. Tuesday events were single events, the Thursday items were repeating events. Looked to see if there were sytems issues or updates going on nothing is indicated. Suggestions on anything I can to do to prevent this?

Help needed in deleting nodes from RAC database

Our DB is 10g RAC database and the servers are Window 2003 server. Initially the database was configured to have 4 nodes. For some reason we stopped the instances in the first two nodes and the current database is running on node3 and node4. I queried the v$thread view and it shows 3 records. Thread 2 is closed and disabled. Thread 3 is open and public and thread 4 is open and private. Now we need to disconnect nodes 1 and 2 from RAC db and cluster ware (We use Oracle cluster ware) and plan to use those two servers for other purposes. Although I read through the Oracle doc regarding deleting node from RAC “11 Adding and Deleting Nodes and Instances on Windows-Based Systems” and wrote down the steps we need to take but I am still not comfortable in doing it since it is production env and we don’t have any dev env to practice those steps. So I would like to borrow your experiences and your lessons learned while you were doing those. Please share your thoughts and insights with us.

what's your full version? I can warn about specific issues in 10.1.0.3 and 10.2.0.1 - for example, in some cases (depending on how the listener was configured), it will be impossible to delete the listener for the deleted node. Known bug.
To avoid many many known bugs, you may want to upgrade to at least 10.2.0.2 before removing a node (from my experience, this is the first stable RAC version).
In any case, deleting a node is a rather delicate process. I really really recommend practicing. Take any pc/laptop, install VMWARE, define two virtual machines, install RAC and remove one node. It will take you an extra day or two, and could save your production.

What makes you think yo are getting charged?
Apple will place a temporaty charge, which is shortly refunded, to check the validity of the card. Apple does that for free items too.

Does the DELETE_ALL_COLLECTIONS delete all current collections for a specific user or does it mean delete all collections in an application irrespective of who the users are.
eg.(a) if I had 20 users logged on and they each have a collection called 'Collection1' would DELETE_ALL_COLLECTIONS remove collection1 from all 20 users or just 1.
eg.(b)if I had a user that had 3 collections for the current session and I wanted to delete all three in the current session do I use DELETE_ALL_COLLECTIONS or DELETE_ALL_COLLECTIONS_SESSION?

Hi, you could test this yourself. Run 2 sessions, populate a collection of the same name from each session, then delete all collections from session 1. Then, check to see if the collection still exists in session 2. Cheers.
