ROLE in BI NetWeaver to EXECUTE queries

Hello.
I don't need any analisys authorizations. All I need to create one USER for all available queries execution.
I guess there must be some ROLE in content or smthng. for query execution in BI for NetWeaver 2004s.
Could anybody tell me the name of this ROLE?

In the SAP Easy Access SAP Business Information Warehouse initial screen, choose SAP Menu Business Explorer Maintain Roles, or use the Create Role pushbutton to go straight into the role maintenance.
Choose Create and Basic Maintenance (Menus, Profiles, other Objects). Enter a name for the role as well as a short text, and save your entries.
Choose a name that does not start with the prefix SAP as this namespace is already used by the predefined roles delivered as copy templates.
On the Description tab page, created and changed information is entered. Write a meaningful text to describe the function of the role.
Select the Authorizations tab page and then choose Expert Mode for Profile Generation. The Selection pushbutton gives you a list of all the available Authorization Templates. The templates for BW user roles start with S_RS_R, the templates for BW user tasks start with S_RS_T.
Select a template and choose Adopt Reference.
Edit the authorizations if necessary.
Generate an authorization profile for the authorizations of the role.
Choose the pushbutton Generate to do this.
Go back and assign the role to users on the Users tab page, using the relevant names in the list.
The generated authorization profiles are automatically entered in the user master record for these users if you run a user master comparison. To do this, choose User Comparison and then Complete Comparison.

The first:
This document don't tell me how to config the member framework of the company. After I design the GP, I have to config the user and role in the runtime for executing. I hope I can use the WDA(webdynpro for java or webdynpro for java) to implement to config the user for executing in the runtime. Thus, the customer don't config the user when runing the GP. But I don't know how to do this.
I need a document guide step by step to tell me how to do this.
The second:
If I use the workflow in the GP, I have to install and config the NWDI(Netweaver Development Infrastructure). Now I have installed the NWDI, but I don't know config it so that I can download it to my machine for develop the workfolw in the GP.
Do you give me some hints? Thanks a lot.

Now, I think I have to set the processor of every actions in every process if I use the GP for processing the workflow.
I am better to hope that I can set the processor to the role for every actions in every process in the runtime through get the organizational structure in the WDA(webdynpro for java or webdynpro for java). Thus, the customer don't set the processor to the role for every action in every process when runing in the GP. I don't know how to do this.
Whether the function is not supported in the GP? If so, I have to config two organizational structure: in the R/3 and in the Portal. I don't think our customer don't receipt this solution.

Error while executing queries on 0FIGL_M30

Dear Experts
From the business content we have installed a multiprovider 0FIGL_M30 and corresponding queries as well, data load was also sucessful but when we tried to execute queries it gives an error first error message is "0ACDOC_CC_P is not a valid characteristic for infoprovider", and the second one is "Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" the same errors persist for each query when I try to execute them both in Bex Analyser and in RSRT. With RSRT strange thing is, when I execute it automatically debugger get started for each execution. Can you please tell me the root cause of such kind of error.

I have checked the multiprovider its in active state and the other thing is I have checked the query I cannot see 0ACDOC_CC_P anywhere in the multiprovider as well as in queries but still it shows error related to 0ACDOC_CC_P. When I double clicked on the error message I got the below information related to the error.
Diagnosis
Customer enhancement RSR00002 or the implementation of BAdI RSR_OLAB_BADI delivers 0ACDOC_CC_P as the characteristic to be calculated. 1. is, however, not a valid key figure for InfoProvider .
System Response
The information from 0ACDOC_CC_P is ignored.
Procedure
Check the exit.

I have a combo box in Parameter Form. It has 3 options. I have 3 queries in Data Model.
I want to execute only one of these 3 queries based on user's selection from combo box.
I want that other 2 queries do NOT execute at all for that processing cycle. Next time user selects other option and an other query is executed and other 2 are NOT executed and so on.
Is it possible in Reports 6i in Client/server?

Include:
AND :parameter = <this query's value> (e.g. 1 or "SALES" or whatever)
in each query's where clause. Because this is 2 constants (as far as the SQL interpreter is concerned) it will evaluate it first. If the parameter is set to a value not for this query then it will return no rows with minimal overhead.

BEx Template to Execute Queries in 7.X

Hi ,
I want to create a BEx Template, So that when we execute queries in the BEx Analyzer, the Query output should come in the BEx Template with Company Logo.
Can you advise, how to create a BEx Templete in BW 7.X.
In 3.X, we just open a spreadsheet and keep the logo and save it as a global template.
How to create a global BEx Template in 7.0

Web Template - Executing Queries in Parallel

I'm looking to find out if there is a way to execute queries in Parallel for a web template. I think in 3.5 this was not possible, but I would think that with the new 2004s they would overcome this.
Anyone have any details on this?

From my testing it looks like it works the same way as BW 3.X web run time.
I have not seen any template settings or RSADMIN settings which will make the Data providers in a template run parallel, this will be great feature. Not sure whether this will be enhancement, will see what SAP has to say on this.

Please check if there are useful message in SQL error log. If there is lock the memory message was logged in the error log, you may enable
lock pages in memory option for the SQL Server service account and see how it works.
Also, apply the service pack and updates of SQL Server.

Hi,
Check that the connector that you have created is working fine and also the user ID that you are using in the backend system is within the valditiy date and all the required authorizations.
Use remote login and ensure that the user can login with out any issues and has all the required authorizations.

Execute Queries from Right Pane Workspace

Hello All,
I have a Query Blocking rules in place. When I execute saved queries from tree structure on right pane, it invokes blocking rules but when I execute queries from workspace (Left pane) it does not invoke blocking rules.
The query blocking rule is in WebMessage name="kuiCriteriaBlockingScript" under function validateAnalysisCriteria
Any ideas on what I must be missing?

Assign as many schemas to your workspace as you want using the administration app. Read about it in the doc.

How often does CEP processor execute queries?

Hi there,
I have a little trouble with understanding how often cep processor executes queries.
It seems that queries are executed every time a new event arrives, that can lead to some troubles.
For example, consider that we have 4 events, which match a certain condition. If we try to select such events from a stream like that
select * from myStream[range 30 seconds slide 30 seconds] and the events arrive within the 30 seconds, the cql processor will not execute query until next event arrives.
How can we force cql processor to execute queries every 30 seconds even if there is no new events?

It is mainly due to ur SAP GUI installation , try to instal SAP GUI at ur Desktop once more with BW Component TIcked while Installing . To be at the safer side please check below mentioned details ...
1. In ur Role check Authorization object S_RFC, S_COMP and S_COMP1 is added to ur role .
2. If u r trying to open Workbook then Make sure u have Authorization to S_GUI object .

Executing queries in another schema in an APEX application

Hello all,
I'm using Application Express 2.1.0.00.39 with Oracle Database Express.
Following this post (Re: Including a SQL GUI in APEX applications I made a page that executes users' queries. The user inputs his SQL statement in a textarea and submits the page, then a new region returning the query results is displayed. Actually I did hardly the same as Vikas did here: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=24317:228:4426360772935581::NO:::
However my needs are very specific: as there will be a lot of users and all users will have their own schema, I need to execute the queries a user inputs in his own schema and not the default parsing schema.
I looked around and found a few solutions.
First, GRANT. But I can't grant the default schema priviledges on all users' schema. It will permit everyone to work on all schemas and I don't want that. I want to force the parsing schema to be the same as the user authentified.
Next, I found that post: Re: how to connect to another user from a named pl/sql block. I tried the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE but it won't work with the CONNECT statement.
Finally I found that post: Change Parsing Schema dynamically? I tried to put the ALTER SESSION in a process. The success message appears, meaning the statement was executed successfully. But the query in input is still executed in the APEX default parsing schema. Then I tried to put the ALTER SESSION statement in the Report (which is a PL/SQL function body returning a SQL query), like that:

EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA=:APP_USER';
RETURN v('P2_QRY_TEXT');
END;
It didn't work either.
What should be the best practice for my problem? Is there anyway to do what I want?

Re-thinking my solution:
Instead of having the package for each user, make 1 schema hold the package (whichever represents your system and not a user). Then declare the package to run as AUTHID CURRENT USER, which should make the calling schema's privileges be active. That way you avoid the hassle of having the manage 1 package for each user.
User Shema ===(SQL QUERY)==> Your System's Schema ==(QUERY) ===> Your Package w/ Authid Current User ==(Dynamic SQL Execution) ==> END
For your package, you might want to consider implementing/simulating variable argument lists, so that you can provide binds if necessary. You would just match up the binds within the query (using dbms_sql would be the only way, execute immediate does not give supporting query information) to the corresponding arguments.
I'm not sure what your goal is, but at least you have a direction to run in/at.

System Error in program CL_RSR executing queries

Hi,
We have several queries created from multiprovider X and these queries are included in a workbook. Multiprovider is active and fine (I have used the programs RSCOMPCONS and RSR_MULTIPROV_CHECK return status OK).
When I open the workbook the followings error messages are showed (before selection screen):
- System error in class SAPMSSSY1 method: UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
- System error in program CL_RSR and FORM GET_INITIAL_CHAVL_OFF-02-
We are looking sap notes (we are in the new version 7.30, Support package 5) in order to solve this error but We don't find the solution.

First understand and decide what each consultant is going to do in the system. Like Technical Consultant will take care of Installation, Setting Up Landscape, Setting up TMS etc.
Project Manager will create projects, Handle roadmaps etc.
Segregating this way will help you defining the Roles in the system. I would also suggest you to have authorization Matrix in a Spreadsheet.
The authorization can also be categorized based on Operational processing.

Execute queries parallel in web report?

Hello BW experts,
One web reports contains 3 dataproviders with 3 sepereate queries. when i look in sm50 it seems like the queries are executed serially. It takes the time of Query1 + Query2 + Query3. Is there a way to execute the 3 queries in web report parallely.

Parallel processing - could mean different things depending on the context!
Use of "parallel" in this case means you want them to run currently.
The only way I know of that you can get this to happen would be if you created a multiprovider that contained the 3 infoproviders. This assumes that the 3 queries are such that, you could get the same results from a single query aginst the multi-provider, which may or may not be the case. Don't know of any other way, as the OLAP processor wants to treat each query as 3 separate work process, which you only happen ot be combining on the front end. Guess this is a long winded way to say no.
Parallel could also mean you want to take advantage of the database's parallel processing ability to split a query up into mutliple subprocesses running on differnt CPUs, which might sound similar, but is really something very different.
