Role not visible in Bex Publish or Save as

Hi Experts,
I have a new role created for adding my reports to it by the security team. My problem here is when i try to save my query or publish my query on to a role i am not able to see this new role. All the necessary auth objects like S_RS_AUTH, S_RS_COMP, S_RS_COMP1, etc are added to this new role. But still i am not able to see the role when i try to publish. When i raised a call with the security team this was the reply "Role XXXXXXX is available in your logon.. a developer must place something in it for you to see it.". Please help to resolve this.

If you find ur self difficult in finding the "role folder" in Bex, Just go ahead and create roles in PFCG.
PFCG, create roles, change authorizations, take template S_RS_RREPU .. i think u know all this.
Go to S_COMP, assign IA, IC, Query ID properly.
Its going to work in same fashion as you deploy the query to reole.
please close it if u feel ans worthful.

Navigational attribute data not visible in BEx Report

Hello All,
I am facing following problem in one of my BEx reports:
I am fetching data from an ODS. With other columns of ODS, I have also to show few navigational attributes( which are master data of some info-object) . In report the corresponding data in navigational attributes is not visible for few records, although when I see the master data of this Info-object (whose navigational attributes I have to include), in Adm. Wrkbench the data is visible. I wonder what step is missing.

Hi Roberto,
While trying to activate the Infoobject's master data (by right-click) I get the following message,
"Lock NOT set for: Loading master data attributes"
And the data is not activated.
Can you please suggest what needs to be done.

Roles not visible

Hello SRM Experts,
I am configured SRM 7.0 with Extended Classic Scenario. Also I assigned Operational & Strategic Purchaser roles (Both SRM & Portals). But I am unable to see the Assign Source of supply,Process RFx and Process Contracts links on the roles.
Am I missing something ? Please guide me...

Thanks... I solved by adding Strategic Purchasing (ERP/SRM) Roles..... But I have another problem.....
ERP Purchasing Req is not visible on SRM. I got the error message.....

Folders are not visible in BEx Portfolio tab of Save As popup window

Hi All,
when I try to save a report in BEx Web Analyzer by open Save As popup window, I can't see any folders in neither of Favorites, BEx Portfolio nor My Portfolio tabs, even though I've created some directories in "/documents/Public Documents" for example. I can only see the list of already saved reports.
What needs to be done to be able to the folders in Save As (or Open) popup window?

ROLES not found in BEx Analyzer

Hi Gurus,
I have created a role and assigned it to a user.My problem is when i am trying to assign a query to this role, it says that there is no role defined.
I am not able to see the role i have created in BEx query selection screen.Could someone help me on this.

when we are trying to save the query my role is not appearing so am not able to save it.
My query appears in that particular role only when it get's saved in that role.But the role I have created doesn't appear at all.

Help: Meta documents for ODS/Multiprovider not visible in BEX

If I created documents in rsa1 for basic cubes, these documents show up fine in BEX query property.
But this function does not work for ODS or Multiprovider. I created documents for ODS and Multiproviders and verify they exist after saving them. In BEX, open 'Query Properties' and click 'Documents', no document is availabe.
Can anyone help? Strange thing is it works for basic cubes but not ODS or multiprovider.
I went through RSA1 'Document Administration' and did not find anything unusal.
Any help is appreciated.

Roles not displayed in BEx Analyzer for NW2004s

We are evaluating a technical upgrade only from BW 3.5 to Netweaver2004s. Under this plan, the 3.5 security will not be migrated to 7.0. We are using SAPGui Frontend 6.40 for BI. The existing BW 3.5 roles are not display in the Role Menu of SAP NetWeaver BEx.
Any ideas on this?

Got the following response from SAP and this resolved the issue
please add the parameter
DELETE_DOUBLE_TCODES with PATH = 'NO'
into the table: ssm_cust (via tx: se16)
The settings in SSM_CUST defines a compress mechanism for the user menu
known as "Redundancy avoidance" and described in notes 357877 and 357693
Redundancy avoidance deletes easy access menu entries for doubled
transaction codes whenever SSM_CUST contains
1. an entry CONDENSE_MENU with PATH = 'YES' and
2. either an entry DELETE_DOUBLE_TCODE with PATH = 'YES' or no entry
DELETE_DOUBLE_TCODES, at all.
If you don't want doubled transaction codes to be deleted, then simply
add an entry DELETE_DOUBLE_TCODES with PATH = 'NO' into table SSM_CUST.

Z Role not visible in the Field Grouping

Hi all
   I have created(copied an Existing to a new) a Z Role in the System !
   And Saved it ! I could see it as an element in the BP View !
   Now I went to do the Field Grouping ! Under Basic Settings of BP, I selected the Filed Groupings --> Configure Field Attributes per BP Role !
   When I tried adding my Z Role as a New Entry, I get the error : "Entry does not exist in TB003" !
    What I am missing out ?

Transported Roles not Visible for the User Log-in

I have three roles in the development system. These roles show up in the top level navigation for the users in the dev system. All these roles and the underlying BSPs are transported to QA successfully. I could assign them to users without any problems, but when the users log-in they can not see any of these roles at the top level navigation (In fact, they just get a blank screen). "Entry Point" setting and "Sort Priority" is maintained for all the three roles.
As a test, I created a new role with the same BSP links in QA itself and assigned it to the users. This shows up in the top level navigation for the users. I am wondering what's wrong with the transported roles! If someone could help me here that would be great and I will assign points to helpful replies. I have a very basic knowledge in portal.

After applying SP12 in the portal landscape (EP 6.0), the role transports only work in our test environment, but not in production. Even the manual corrections suggested in OSS note 1002832 didn't help. I can preview all the iviews in the roles with my user id (admin id), but as soon as I log-in with the end user id nothing shows up [Not even the top level navigation tabs show up]. The following is the portal authorization methodology I chose.
1. I assign users to the user groups
2. I assign user groups to the roles
I want to emphasize that all is well in our test environment, it is the production environment that shows inconsistency. Let me know if anyone has any pointers.

New master loaded. Nav attr not visible in Bex

Hello BW Experts,
Scenario
Ztestjob has attribute ztestattr
New master data records added are :
Ztestval1 ztestattr1
Ztestval2 ztestattr2
Data is already loaded in the ODS. Loaded new master data for iob Ztestiob. It has nav attribute Ztestattr1. Now in the Bex I can see the new values ztestval1 and ztestval2 and I cannot see the nav attributes values ztestattr1 and ztestattr2.
Possible causes:
SID for the nav attributes do not exist
Solutions
1) reload the transaction data
2) RSRV > ODS > foreignkey relationship test and automatic repair.
Please let me know if the possible cause is correct. Are there any other causes to be considered. Are there any other solutions to be considered.

Hi,
You have to run the report "rsr_gen_direct_all_queries" in SE38.
Then all your navigational attributes get added in BEx.

Roles not visible in the Catalog while requesting roles in OIM 11gr2

Hi Experts,
We have recently installed the OIM 11g r2 for a POC purpose and created few roles. The issue is we are unable to see the roles created while requesting the roles in catalog.
Already run the Catalog Synchronization Job and its scheduled to run in every 15 mins.

Also, which type of Role Category did you chose for the ones you created ? If you chose "OIM Roles" they won't appear in the catalog, any other Category (e.g. "Default") will be shown.
Try creating a new role with the "Default" category to test it; changing an OIM Role to another category won't work, it will still be hidden.

Weblogic application roles not visible

We are trying to grant a weblogic account the application role BPMWorkflowAdmin using the enterprise manager of the SOA Suite 11g. This works without problems on a non-clustered environment. However, in our clustered environment we cannot see the application roles. When we try to select the Application Stripe, the drop-down list doesn't show any values. Has anybody a clue what is going on?

It is a known issue that file based identity and policy stores will run into synchronization issues in a clustered environment. To avoid this you have to setup the environment using
1. Shared file system as per the documentation below:

2. Use database or LDAP based identity and policy store

Attributes of attribute not visible in BEx query

Hi Guys,
I have 0MATERIAL InfoObject, which has product hierarchy attribute in it. The product hierarchy has four attributes prodhier level1, prohier level2, prodhier level3 and prodhier level4 in it. When i created query I can see product hierarchy attribute in 0Material. But I cannot expand product hierarchy further to see or add the four levels to the report.
Can somebody tell me how to view or add the attributes of this attribute product hierarchy (which in turn is an attribute of 0MATERIAL) in the query?
All the attributes are set as Navigational attributes.

Hierarchy in properties of characteristics item is not visible in report

Hi,
It has been observed that the Hierarchy name in u201Cproperties of characteristics" of an infoobject for example 0GL_ACCOUNT is not visible in BEx output report. The report shows complete hierarchy with all nodes / subnodes but NOT HEADER description!
Also whenever you change the hierarchy (by changing global / local view), Same problem exist.
This is one of the high priority problem users are facing since they canu2019t see hierarchy name (Key / Text) causing confusion.
Please advice.

Make a duplicate header above all the levels and show text in the BEx output
Level 1 -> Hierarchy name -> Level 2 ( Initially Level 1) -> Level 3 ( Initially Level 2)
