I want to know the table that stores the relationship between a Business role and its associated roles.
Please note that i am aware of the table GRACBUSROLESNAP that stores the business role relationship corresponding to a request id and this is not what i am looking for.
I want to know the table which stores the definition for business role.

How to Install DNS ROLE and its FQDN service and Reverse Lookup zone in Server Core using Powershell?

I am Setting A Lab Scenario That the PC name "Core2012" i.e. Server Core 2012 Will be Domain Controller.
Using PowerShell I have done this Task
Change hostname ; Configure IP address and Preferred DNS address ; Disable IPv6 ;
Configure Firewall ; Even Active Directory Role install.
Now problem occur
Well I have know to install DNS role install-WindowsFeature DNS
Ok
But;
How to configure FQDN ; Restore mode password ; Setting up global catalog server ;and configure Reverse Lookup zone Using powershell
I have search many Forums but I am not getting to touch with it.
So I Need a help to set and Configure DNS using Powershell

To set the Safe mode password with powershell, please refer to the cmdlet Install-ADDSDomainController, to enable global catalog(GC), please run the cmdlet "Set-ADObject" after install Active Directory on the core server, to configure Reverse Lookup zone,
please refer to the cmdlet
Add-DnsServerPrimaryZone.
To configure DC with powershell, please check the scripts:

Enabling and Disabling the Global Catalog

From table AGR_USERS , you can see the roles corresponding to any user.
From table AGR_TCODES, you will get the tcodes corresponding to any role.

Well this will tell you the roles with respect to the users.
Also you can into transaction PFCG and search the roles, go to change mode for that particular role and there under authorizations see the objects clicking on change authorization objects.

Use table AGR_PROF to get profiles for the requried roles.
and run the table USTSTCAP, from this table you can get Tcodes for the profiles...

Can multiple roles be assigned to users of the same PC?

Hi,
I'm using Contribute 3, and am set up as the administrator of a web site.
I've created a new role for other users, and want to test the new role and its related permissions.
But when I open the connection key attachment on my PC, it automatically picks up the administrator role when Contribute opens.
Does anybody know whether it's possible to have multiple Contribute roles in use for the same web site, on the same PC, preferably password protected?

I've provided Contribute users with the facility to create new pages
based on a standard Dreamweaver template.
In the future, if the template changes, I'll download the user-created
pages from the server, but is it possible to automatically reflect
template changes in these pages - as with the automatic update
indicator available when creating template-based pages in Dreamweaver.

Creation of new roles in OES using BLM API

I'm currently using policymgtapi examples for creating new roles. Its gets created but doesn't visible in OES Entitlement application console even though the entry is present in OES DB. But if you create a new User, its available immediately in OES Entitlement application. Pls let me know why Role is not available in Entitlement application after creating using policymgtapi. Thanks

Is there any org scope to the role?
There's some conversion process that happens when you load roles via policyloader, I suspect you would need to do the same with Policy Mgt API. There are some groups you need to add to have it show up in the EUI.

BW workbook and roles

Hi guru
I have a problem :
I have one role in PFCG for access from BEX to the query of an infocube.
Under this role there are some workbook saved by the user.
My question is : if I cancel the role all the workbook are lost ? Is there a Way to save the workbook and assign the workbook to another role ?
This is because I need to recreate the roles in PFCG for query access reorganization, but i'm confused on assigning the workbook to the new roles

Hi Antonio,
This is a very simple task , copy the role as per other experts steps
go to your original roles authorization data , see where the workbook is inserted in Z1 ( A1 )
in Z2 ( w1...... )
note down the authorization object where its inserted
take down the field values also from the original role.
NOte down
Authorization object
Field name --- values
Now come to your New/Copied role
Search for the authorization object
enter all the values that you need into this role against its field name.
Actually you dont need to copy roles too.....
just open the role Z2 , find where the A1 is inserted, then add all that you need next to A1

Federated Portal Language change not visible on remote role

Hi,
Remote role assigment is done on consumer portal. This remote portal role comes from a BI Producer portal.
This roles has worksets and iviews attached to it like km navigation iview etc.
User on consumer portal has options to change his language to french from default english.
Here the issue is, this language change does not reflect or apply to the remote role and its iviews or contents.(It continues to show in english) . But it works without problem o n local roles or ivews as expected.
Any idea on how this language change can be effected on the remote role and its contentc will be much appreciated.

Hello Ashok,
You must remember that because this is RRA the content will actually run on the producer (unless this is an AI iView).
This means that the language will be determine according to the user's language defined on the producer itself, therefor you have to change the language of that specific user on the producer portal.
If this does not help it might be that the iView is forcing the language, then we'll have to try somehthing else.
Update me with the results of the first triage,
Also have a look at SAP Note # 1295703 under the Language category, it explains the algorithem of determining the language.

SU25-Step:2C Roles to be checked

I searched old threads but didnot find answer for my question, appreciate your reply
My systems is going for upgrade from 4.6 to ECC 6.0, I performed SU25 on my sandbox(ECC) to see roles affected, its pulling up all the our Z roles affected status RED.
Is there a way to generate these profiles automatically, as I feel its really tedious to manually generate 100's of roles.
This is the first time I am involved in upgrade, want to play safe with security change.
And in "Display changed Trans." its showing huge list of tcodes changed I dont know its pulling up the accurate list or not....Most of the tcodes I see are like ME21(old) changed to ME21N (New)
Any thoughts on "N"...?

And also my company really never maintained SU24, they appended SAP default checks and manually maintained auth. fields in PFCG...
As per forum threads I backedup UST12, USOBT_C, USOBX_C...

Hi,
SUPC will not work for that roles, as their status (of the profile) is 'to be compared'.
My opinion is, not to bypass the point of updating the profiles with the new authorization data. Sooner or later, this adaption will be necessary anyway.
If you perform the updates now in your test environement, you could save that roles (with the updated authorizations) in a transport. If you upgrade then your production, you will have the work already done. Simply import your role transport and you have the actual versions of the roles in your production.
So my recommendation is, to perform all steps completely in the testenvironement and not to bypass any point. It will foll back to you some when later on (latest in production, if some orles will not work anymore because of missing authorizations due to new/additional authority checks in the applications.

Case statement for dashboard text title based on NQ_SESSION.ROLES

with the code '@{biserver.variables['NQ_SESSION.ROLES']}' and it shows the user groups. That works great. Now
I need to have a case statement or so that shows a text, that changes
with each user role i.e. each user role gets its own "report title" Is that possible?

Unfortunately in both cases it resolves to the ELSE clause even when the other two are true:

I realized why I could not resolve it. I did not define it as a session but presentation variable. So here it is a session variable:

goto SU01 , give ur username , click on roles tab , and click F1 on role field , then goto technical attributes , and use where-used-list of that dataelement , u will lot of tables on Roles and its attributes

GP: Process default Roles Cleared when transported

Hi,
     I have created an impersonalized form that triggers a process in guided procedures.
I have set the default roles for process as impersonalized form needs all the roles to be defaulted.
Its working fine in the test system. When I transport this to Production, the default roles get cleared. I get an error message when the form is submitted - ERROR_NO_DEFAULT_USER_FOR_ROLE .

But as I'm using an Impersonalized form, even when I assign the default roles, the impersonalized form still pointing to the process with no default roles. Its not recognizing the default roles assigned in administration.
I cannot change the process to add default roles (in production). So whenever I submit the form I get the error "ERROR_NO_DEFAULT_USER_FOR_ROLE"

Assign application roles after authentication

It's been some time now I'm struggling with this issue...
I have a client application (not a web one) trying to access an EJB resource.
The EJB is first looked up through jndi and then asked to invoke a method, say test().
In ejb-jar.xml I have the following:

I manage to have OID perform the authentication, so that I can perform the EJB lookup and call non protected methods. Issues arise when trying to get the roles working.
I know that i can <security-role-mapping> AN_APP_ROLE to an oid group; what I am trying to accomplish is to have oid do the authentication and be able to fetch the application roles from a database.
As a starting point what I've done is a client LoginModule that first authenticates against the OID (by looking up an EJB resource) and then, in the commit(), do the following:
this.subject.getPrincipals ().add (new RoleExtended("AN_APP_ROLE"));
Nevertheless access is denied when the client tries to access the protected test() method.
It seems that somehow even if the Subject has the role within its principals, the container doesn't threat it such.
I am pretty stuck, and starting to wonder if this is the right approach...Nevertheless I don't think putting the application roles in oid is a good idea, since application roles should remain an application property not a enterprise directory one.
Any hint?!
