Dear Debasis,
Please do not get disheartened. I read that in the BI administration guide but I can not understand the purpose of this parameter
    Note:
The Change Management ID is used for obtaining information related to logging, auditing, job history,

Change Management ID. The Change Management ID is an attribute that is set by the user in the

  • Some Managers have dual role (Line Manager and Business Partner).

As a Line Manager, he/she should be able to view and maintain records of his subordinate employees according to organisation structure.
As a HRBP, he/she should be able to view and maintain records of employees based on Pers Admin field in Infotype 1(Organizational Assignment).
Managers with dual role have to see all employees in their org structure and also all employees who have Pers Admin assigned to them(For ex. HY3 Lorraine Brent to see all employees who have HY3 in IT0001)
Pls let me know how do we capture the above requirement.
    Thanks
    Manoj

    Hi,
    Manoj,
This you can do via structural authorizations,

  • Portal 7.3: Can not find portal role "Content Manager"

    Hello, All
As for portal 7.3,  I can not find the following portal role available:
    pcd:portal_content/specialist/contentmanager/ContentManager
I am trying to configure repository manager but the following path is not visible to me:
System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management
To make the "Knowledge Management" visible, I try to assign "ContentManager" role to my user account, but I can not find this role.
My user account was created as a copy of the administrator user so that it should have all authorizations.
    My question:
How to make "Knowledge Managment" visible to me in portal 7.3?
Does "content" related roles help to make "Knowledge Managment" visible to user?
    Many thanks!
    Best regards!

  • Security role to manage dimensions

Have a planning 11.1.2.1 planning app and need to provide a user with only access to manage dimensions. Haven't been able to find a role that provides this access without making the user an admin. How do I set about this?

I don't define the roles so unfortunately it is one you will have to take up with Oracle

  • Can MDM users & roles be managed by IDM

    Hello,
Can IDM be used to connect to & manage MDM users & roles using provisioning mechanism or otherwise?
    Regards,
    Vishal

    Hello,
we have implemented an adapter to connect the MDM to the IdM. The adapter handles roles and users of an MDM repository and allows the roles to be provisioned to MDM users and vice versa.
I developed the adapter originally for MDM 5.5 SP5/SP6 and IdM 7.0 last year. As there are not that much differences between IdM 7.0 and 7.1 and the Java API of MDM 5.5 and 7.1 an update to MDM 7.1 and IdM 7.1 is a smaller to mid-sized task for me.
If you want more information feel free to contact me. Just have a look in my user profile.
Sorry for the late answer, but I had some holiday since June started.
    Best regards

  • Does the role Provision Manager must combine with Planner or Reviewer?

When I login the Planning application with only the 'Provision Manager' role, the system will display the error message below:
An error occurred while processing this page. Check the log for details. Please close the current tab and open application again
Failed to sync with user provisioning. Check Planning log for details
I tried to sychronize manually using the command UpdateUsers.cmd, it still showed like this:
Loaded Version of Essbase RTC: 0xb1221
    Cannot login to application: XXXX
However, if adding a Planner or Reviewer role, it will go well without any error.
BTW: Where can we find the error code(like 0xb1221) annotation?
    Thanks
    Derek

It wont work, you cant use Provisioning Manager Role alone to login to Planning Application, Its a Shared Services Role to provision users. To identify the actual use to the role have a look at:
Provisioning Users and Groups with Planning Application Roles

  • Undesirable impact of Std role 'Manager' while routing to occupied Position

As specified at the following link
    http://mailman.mit.edu/pipermail/sap-wug/2005-December/020717.html
A new entry was created in table T77S0 by using t-code 00V2, with the following values.
    GRPID=WFLOW, SEMID=VAPOS, and GSVAL=X
So that vacant positions can be avoided.
We were successful to avoid routing at vacant positions, but ever since this has been configured, the relationship ‘A – 002’ [Reports (Line) to] has lost its precedence in standard role ‘Manager’ [t-code PFAC, role ‘00000157’].
    For example,
Before making the changes in T77S0, the Manager for any position ‘X’ [whose relationship ‘A-002’ was maintained with another position ‘Y’ which was not the Chief ‘Z’] was being correctly evaluated by the standard role ‘00000157’ [Manager].
After the changes in T77S0, standard role ‘00000157’ [Manager] is showing an awkward behavior by only returning the Chief ‘Z’ of the org. Unit for that position ‘X’ even though it has its relationship ‘A-002’ maintained with position ‘Y’.
Can anyone help to fix this issue, so that both the constraints can be simultaneously achieved i.e.
    1.       Routing to occupied position
    2.       Relationship ‘A-002’ should have its precedence over the Chief
    Many thanks,
    Bilal

I agree it is more of an HR-ish issue, but the HR people probably won't touch it with a 7-metre pole (7 metres, approx. 20 feet, is as far as I recall the standard measure of poles with which you don't want to touch things - but I digress...)
By studying the function module behind the rule (rule 157 that is) it seems to be a fairly quick job to find the code sections that are influenced by the flag. My guess is that you will have to modify the standard code - this probably "works as designed".
Include LRHWOF02 has form GET_LEADING_POS_OF_POS where the following is found
    *   t.sch. 10.02.03
    *   read status of switch wflow vapos
        IF NOT gv_sw_vapos IS INITIAL.
        ELSE.
    *   Attention: delete all positions which have an A 002 relation
          LOOP AT temp_positions.
            DELETE rema_positions WHERE plvar = temp_positions-plvar
                                  AND   objid = temp_positions-objid.
          ENDLOOP.
        ENDIF.
The value of gv_sw_vapos is checked in one of the other forms of that include as well. Of course this may not be all the places the flag has an influence, but it looks like a good start to me. Examining it further is up to you.

  • Add Site System Roles (Management Point)

To resolve an issue I was having with the management point role I have removed it.
I left it for an hour and then restarted the server and the role had been removed. When I tried to re-add the role the option is greyed out. I believe this is due to the Server being the primary site but am finding it hard to get any definitive answer on
    how to re-add the role.
Currently my site has no management point.
My question is HOW DO I RE-ADD THE ROLE OF "MANAGEMENT POINT"?
Will the configuration management setup wizard allow me to do this, whilst retaining the current roles and config?

I thought it was a permissions issue at first to. Signed into the server with the service account used to install SCCM and also explicitly named my domain account as a local admin despite me being a domain admin. Furthermore, I have access to remove the
roles from the server and permission to add and remove roles to all other servers.
    Adding role
In management console Administration>Site Configuration>Servers and Site System Roles
This bring up the list of servers and when left clicked their roles. I right click on the server in question and the option to "add site system roles" is greyed out as are the sub-options under start and the option to delete.
Will screen shot in the morning

  • Is it possible to set Tomcat Manager to lookup roles from DataSourceRealm?

I know the Realm Configuration docs say that "Tomcat does not provide any built-in capabilities to maintain users and roles", but manager.xml contains the comment "Link to the user database we will get roles from", so that seems to imply that you can link to a different user database.
I thought I could do this with JDBCRealm, but after using UserDatabaseRealm, I thought I might set up the dbase as a JNDI Datasource and authenticate and lookup roles via UserDatabaseRealm.
After getting my database configured as a JNDI DataSource, and failing to authenticate against it via JNDIRealm, I realized that DataSourceRealm is a variation on JDBCRealm where you refer to the dbase via a JNDI DataSource. I have DataSourceRealm working, and I changed my Manager ResourceLink to point to the JNDI DataSource, but Tomcat Manager still can't lookup roles from anything other than the tomcat-users.xml demonstration file.
The Admin Tool has screens where you can create users and roles, but this only seems to work with MemoryRealm and UserDatabaseRealm (xml files).
Is this all just for demonstration?
Is there no possibility of configuring TC Manager and Admintool to interface with an alternate user database (relational)?
Shouldn't the docs clarify this by stating that you shouldn't bother trying to point the Manager ResourceLink at an alternate user database because it can't be done and the functionality is for demonstration of MemoryRealm and UserDatabaseRealm only?

Its a 'Yes' or 'No' question.

  • What roles to assign for managing comments?

    Hi,
I am setting up a separate user role for managing comments, orders, and product inquiries.    I am not sure what roles to assign in the user role area.  There are areas for approving, deleting and editing comments, but I need them to be able to reply to comments, work on orders, etc.  I don't need to give them full Admin access, but there are so many choices, I'm not sure which ones are needed for these tasks...
    TIA,
    Jeff

    Thank you Annett.
It  seems, that in SM4 SAP has provided list of authorization objects (in the Excel 'Delta_Information_Customers_EN.xls' and customers should gather a new composite roles of their own.
I consider SAP should have provided a template composite role in standard for Test and test coordinator users.
SAP knows very well the needs of a tester and test coordinator, and STWB_WORK is surely not the only authorziation object needed.
Here are some topics that I consider typical needs for a TESTER in project implementation (in parenthesis a proposal from SAP's Excel):
No authorization for project admin nor SOLAR01, nor SMSY
    Display authorization for SOLAR02 (sap_solar02_dis)
Display authorization for SOLAR02 documentation (?derives from sap_solar02_dis?)
Not able to switch to other projects in SOLAR02 (?invidual rights to auth.object S_Project?)
Execute transactions from SOLAR02 (?derives from sap_solar02_dis?)
all rights to STWB_WORK (sap_stwb_work_all) and everything inside it: create message, execute test cases, enter test results
If there are any SDN members having already defined tester and test coordinator composite roles in SM4, I am interested to hear which roles you used.

  • XRPM basic project manager roles for 4.0

    Hello,
Does anyone know what the basic roles in XRPM would be appropriate for baseline non-technical project manager??? There are a few out of the box that look like they allow way to much, but we would like to stay as close to out of the box that we can as far as roles are concerned.
    Thanks
    James

    James,
The basic roles you need to assign in the backend are:
    SAP_XRPM_USER
    SAP_XRPM_PROJECTMANAGER
    SAP_CPR_USER
    SAP_CFX_USER
The last two roles are needed if you are planning to use C-Projects and C-Folders.
These roles will give you the access to manage projects in the Portal.
In the Portal you will need to assign the role:
    Project Manager.
I suggest you discuss which iviews are to be used by the PM and create a copy of the above role with only the access needed.
    Regards, Jose
