  • Roles in Final Cut Pro X

    I started learning how you could use roles in Final Cut Pro X to export certain clips of a project instead of the whole movie. I have a clip that is 10 seconds long. I assigned a new role to it. I called it "2." When I export that role as a separate clip, I end up getting a finished .mov file that is 2:09. I don't want black in the clip, just the 10 seconds I want. Why does it do that?     This is pretty standard, Logic Pro does it too. When you export parts of your video, they're called "stems".
    Stems are complete, like this, so you can piece them altogether (eg in another editor) without having to "line them up" in exactly the position they were in.
    You've got the real answer you needed from Studio Engineer, but I thought I'd mention this.
    The only way to export "part of your timeline" is to use the Range Tool.

    To what extent is role based security supported by servlets under WLS 5.1?
              Declarative role based security does not seem to be supported?
              Are any of the following methods supported?
              HttpServletRequest.isUserInRole()
              HttpServletRequest.getUserPrincipal()
              If so, where are the roles declared? Where is the role/principal mapping
              done? Does getUserPrinicipal() return the principal using the WLS security
              realm?

    You will work as a Business expert or as a Core team member in the Implementation Project. Your role will be very crucial .. you will Drive the project as per the business processes of Demand planning.
    Support Project :
    If you are working as a Demand planner and doing day to day Demand planning work then in case any issues come you will send it to support team for correction.

  • Replace Role 13200137 (finding 'support team') with a new role

    Hi,
    I copied the role 'CRM_DNO_1' to 'z_crm_dno_1'. All Datas was copied exept the datas in the section 'responsibitity' - is this ok?
    the new role 'z_crm_dno_1' has now the number 90100005. where can I change the role number form the standard-role CRM_DNO_1 13200137 to 90100005?
    and where in the new role can I modify the name of the FB CRM_DNO_READ_PARTNER_WFRULE to my new FB Z_CRM_DNO_READ_PARTNER_WFRULE ?

    we can not assume any interview questions .better you can search in google.if your in supporting then you should be able to rectivie the day tod day issues and the change request. for this you should have all modules experince to answer the interview questions. all the questions will be the real time and the process  real time scenario kind of questions.
    For the GB payrol,. look at all statutory deduction and payment like payee tax and the NI-(National insurenve) deduction. and also the returns (monthly anualy). and also the config of SSP (statutory sick pay )and SMP (Statutory Maternity Pay), factoring process , retro, posting and automatic file transfer to HMRC,etc.

  • Succession Planning - Support team roles and functionalities

    I'm looking for clarification about the role you can assign to a member of a support team for a requisition (object NB)
    In Succession Planning (E-recruiting) when you create the succession plan (requisition Object NB) you have to define the support team; persons authorized to process the succession plan.
    When you assign a new member to the support team of a requisition you have to specify the role. In the standard there are two roles "Restricted Succession Planner" and "Succession Planner". The first role does not have the authorization to approve a requisition (object NB).
    How the role assigned in support team works?; is it related to rights and authorizations in processing a requisition?
    For example can I manage the following scenario: the same user has different roles for different requisitions; for example "restricted succession planner " for NB 00000001  and at the same time the role "succession planner" for object NB 00000002? does it mean that the user will not have the authorization to approve NB00000001 but he will have the authorization to approve NB00000002?

    Hi,
    the role assignment in the requisition maintenance (no matter if e-recruiting or the old succession planning part in e-rec available till 600 EhP3) is a purely logical or business view. It has nothing to do with the authorization of the user for this object.
    The posiblity if you can approve a requisition is defined by the authorization roles only, which have nothing to do with the support team roles. So no matter which support team role you have, if your authorization is wide enough you can do everything with the requisition.
    It would not make much sense to link the authorization to the support team. As you can define the support team when you are in the requisition maintenance you could always change your support team role to bypass these checks for approval.
    So unfortunately the your scenario is not possible (even some really ugly hacking with context authorization would probably not work because of the authorization buffes and in a business view due to the point mentioned above.).
    The support team roles are for documantation purposes who is supposed to do what in the requisition handling and can be used for some technical controling of functions like workflows or printing. So different support team roles are not completely useless.

    SAP IS Retail Consultant role in ongoing (Post Go-live) support varies from Level 1 to Level 3 as well as client to client.
    Mutually agreed tasks are part of Statement of Works (SOW) reflects in Contract / Agreement. So, you can refer SOW to know complete role.
    In mean while, are you supporting Indian Client or Foreign Client?
    In general, Support consultant should carry out following tasks;
    (a) Trouble shooting in master data and transactional errors
    (b) Training
    (c) Interaction with team on proactive basis
    (d) Facilitating to get MIS Reports
    (e) Preparing FS document for Inhouse reports

  • Adobe support - is there anything worse?

    Dec. 1 @ 1420h (PST)
    Support call # 5 or 6 now... I am still on the phone (45 minutes in).
    The first person I spoke with, I am certain that I just woke up this guy. I know I might be in trouble when he answered, "....Welcome to....err..." long pause so I said, "Hello?" and he replies, "errr... Welcome to Adobe Technical Support, how may I help you?" Then I had to repeat my Cust ID a few times (despite a perfect connection and the fact that his command of English assured me there wasn't a language issue). The rest of the conversation was like it was in slow motion... finally, he told me that I was in the wrong queue... so 1/2 hour later, I am still listening to music.
    Then, at about 3:15 PST, I spoke with 'Richard' who then informed me I was in the wrong que (Video, this time!). I only waited a few moments to get to the 'proper' Captivate 4 'technical support'.
    I won't bother to go into a whole lot of nonsense I dealt with over the next forty minutes... suffice to say, I finally reached a customer support representative in the U.S.; this woman (I can offer details to an Adobe employee if one cares) determined that I had a case and made a Tier 2 level support case for me. Furthermore, she promised to email me a summary of the case and with her email address, I could send additional information about my issue, and include a sample .cp (Captivate 4) file. I never received any correspondence from Adobe.
    Next day...
    Dec. 2 @ 0940h (PST)
    Armed with my case # from yesterday, I call support.
    ... waited about 1/2 hour before I reached someone. I gave them the case number, followed by their boiler plate questioning. I was told that they couldn't help me because it was a customer support case number. 34 minutes later I finally demand to speak with a supervisor!
    ....11 minutes of music and the Adobe sales department answers; the sales women states that she is 'sorry' for my troubles and promises to send me to the 'right' department.
    ....6 minutes later... I am sent to support in the Philippines (I think). This guy has absolutely horrible manners! I ask to speak with a supervisor. I am put on hold....
    ....I waited an additional 35 minutes (there is no music.... just hold static)... I am assuming he never transferred this call.
    Back to the beginning????
    I have no idea what the status of my case # is...
    Is Adobe's technical support the worst in the world??
    This would almost be funny if it were not for the fact that I am encountering a serious problem with Captivate 4 and/or Connect Pro and my job is literally on the line to find a solution!

    LOL, I wasn't being apologetic for the sleepy sounding voice. Just making an observation.
    I come forom a technical support background. I worked in a call center for a number of years. And I can attest that regardless of the call center, regardless of location, it's always "luck of the draw" with the customer experience. You see call center reps that really could care less. They are only there because they need a paycheck. They do nothing more than absolutely necessary to scrape by. One former co-worker would always come ask my buddy and I how to solve issues. Once the call was over, back to playing Tetris she went. Another popular request was "reboot and call back if that doesn't work". Can't tell you the number of times I receved the second call. Grrrr
    I eventually moved to a role where I supported the call center hardware. I got calls to fix "Non-system disk or disk error" on bootup. I'd walk out and pop the floppy disk out of their system and watch it boot. And that's the type of call *THEY* were supposed to resolve for customers calling in!
    It's really quite amazing to watch common sense just take a leap out the nearest window sometimes. But I digress.

    Automation
    Clicking on an event in the Score no longer sometimes selects the wrong events.

    All MIDI Draw data created by moving track based automation to a Region now appears on the Region and in Piano Roll as expected.
    Volume automation moved from a track to a region is now displayed in the Tracks area MIDI Draw view as expected.
    It is now possible to use MIDI Draw for an event type that does not yet exist in the region.
    When track based automation is moved to a region, the region now immediately switches on MIDI Draw to show the automation in the Track area.
    When region automation is moved to a track, the automation now starts at the beginning of the track.
    MIDI Draw now reliably creates Surround Diversity and Surround Angle fader events in regions.
    It is now possible to make a Marquee selection over region loops when automation is visible.
    MIDI Draw data is no longer shown on additional automation lanes when the main automation lane is set to “Off.”
    MIDI Draw no longer incorrectly displays a ramp between isolated Pitch Bend events.

    If Flex is enabled, Logic now properly includes manually added transients when an audio region is converted to a sampler track.
    Flex Pitch controls are now available in the Tracks area and Audio Editor immediately after Flex Pitch is enabled for a track and analysis is complete.
    Setting a Flex Mode now applies to all selected tracks.
    It is again possible to cancel flex analysis before it completes.
    The Transposition Track now works with flex-pitched regions.
    Flex mode now gets enabled for all tracks in a group even if Group Clutch enabled.
    The Audio Track editor now reliably shows all notes when scrolling with Flex Pitch enabled.
    Logic no longer sometimes hangs when adjusting notes in Flex Pitch.
    The Flex Pitch grid is now displayed for all takes in the Track Editor even when a Software Instrument track is directly above the selected Audio track.
    Logic now offers the option “Do not show again” in the alert dialog that reads "This region contains inactive flex markers, which will be deleted if you perform the edit."
    If a Flex mode has already been set, clicking the Flex drop-down menu will correctly highlight the currently selected Flex mode.
    When dragging a region from one track to another, the region "Flex and Follow Tempo & Pitch" checkbox settings are now maintained as expected.
    Transient detection is improved with quieter source material.
    When Flex is bypassed on a Take folder, the Follow Tempo checkbox is also now disabled.
    General
    Resolves several issues with Snap introduced in Logic Pro X v10.0.6.
    "Snap to Relative Value" now reliably works at all zoom levels with Smart Snap enabled.
    Adjustments to the left border of a region now use relative snap when that option is enabled.
    When Alignment guides is enabled, Snap to Absolute value now works with Cycle.
    Alignment Guides now work as expected when Snap is set to Off.
    The track icon picker now activates with the first right-click or Control-click.
    Toggling the Tracks Inspector no longer sometimes activates Alignment Guides.
    Logic no longer incorrectly shows an alert that the content must be installed the first time it is launched on computers purchased with Logic pre-installed.
    The Capture as Recording key command no longer creates odd length regions when used in songs with time signatures other than 4/4.
    The Hide Step Input Keyboard key command again works as expected.
    The Nudge Region to Nearest Beat option in the Adjust Tempo using Beat Detection dialog now works as expected.
    The Snip at Playhead Position key command no longer sometimes causes notes in the new righthand region to shift to the beginning of the region.
    Logic Pro X no longer displays the error “Could not open source file” when opening certain MP3 files.
    Logic now properly includes time signature, key signature, and tempo events when moving Arrangement markers.
    Undoing the repositioning of an Arrangement Marker now correctly moves affected automation back to its original position.
    Command-dragging one arrangement marker over another now replaces the previous marker as expected.
    Colors assigned to arrangement markers now take effect as soon as the color is clicked in the Color Box.
    It is now possible to use the Marquee stripe to delete a section within the area encompassed by an Arrangement Marker.
    Using the "Split at Playhead" command on the last arrangement Marker in a song now properly sizes the arrangement marker to the right of the Playhead.
    When an arrangement marker is split, the new marker to the right now maintains the same color and name as the original.
    Arrangement markers can no longer be inadvertently moved by mouse clicks in an empty area of the Arrangement track.
    Copying Arrangement markers no longer creates extra tempo events.
    The Beat Mapping track now continues to display properly when it is resized after other Global tracks have been resized.
    The Beat Mapping Track no longer disappears if Global Tracks are shown while it is already visible.
    Deleting a connection in the Beat Mapping track now correctly also deletes its associated tempo event.
    Tempo events created in the Global Tempo track now reliably display in the Tempo list.
    Setting one track of a phase-locked edit group as Groove Master or Groove Follower now reliably shows all members of the group as being enabled.
    Time signature changes are now reliably displayed in the timeline.
    Logic no longer re-downloads basic content that has already been downloaded by MainStage.
    Arrange Folders now reliably display as expected in the Mixer.
    Double-clicking on the icon for a folder channel strip in the Mixer now opens the folder.
    Commas may now be used as decimal separators when typing values into controls on the Mixer.
    It is now possible to drag regions vertically without an unexpected horizontal shift when "Snap to Grid" is enabled in the Tracks area.
    Recording a new take over multiple existing regions again works as expected.
    It is now possible to create an empty MIDI region on a track hosting an Auxiliary channel strip.
    Shift-click to delete a take selection again works reliably.
    Region Gain now works as expected when applied to comp segments in a Take folder.
    When a take selection is disabled and then re-enabled, the change is now properly reflected in all tracks that are part of the same group.
    Logic no longer unexpectedly re-extends a shortened Take folder when the folder is dragged vertically to a different track.
    When recording in Cycle mode, Logic no longer creates an automatic comp when a take encompasses only part of the Cycle range.
    When regions are packed into a Take folder, regions from the same track are now placed on the same sub-track in the Take folder.
    Fixes an issue in which it was sometimes no longer possible to change the length of a Take folder after performing several other Take folder length edits.
    Take regions no longer unexpectedly shift horizontally when dragged vertically from one sub-track to another when the "Limit Dragging to One Direction In: Tracks" preference is enabled.
    Copied Take folders are no longer missing their contents in certain rare situations.
    Regions on audio tracks inside a folder now are reliably placed on their proper tracks when the folder is unpacked.
    The key command “Select Previous Section for Realtime Comping” now works correctly when used while recording multiple takes in Cycle mode.
    When Bounce-in Place is used with a channel strip that contains a plug-in that performs a mono to stereo conversion, Logic now creates a mono file if the option to bypass plug-ins is selected.
    Regions created with "Bounce in Place" are no longer sometimes given random names.
    Addresses and rare issue that could cause some MIDI notes to play back at the wrong pitch.
    In Link mode, the Piano Roll now reliably shows the contents of the selected region.
    The Event Float window no longer loses focus after a selected note has been edited in the Piano Roll.
    The "Split Events by Playhead" command now works reliably with multiple notes in the Piano Roll.
    Editing notes in the Piano Roll with multiple regions selected no longer sometimes results in notes being inadvertently moved from one region to another.
    Closing the local inspector in the Piano Roll editor no longer leaves a blank area on the right side of the editor.
    Opening MIDI Draw in the Piano Roll no longer offsets the keyboard into the editing area.
    When adding notes in the Piano Roll with the Pencil, newly created notes again have the same Velocity as the last edited note.
    It is now possible to lasso notes in the Piano Roll editor using a Wacom tablet when Logic’s Right Mouse Button

  • Apple Support for FCE HD - $200 per call???

    i had what was probably a minor issue with editing in final cut express hd today. So naturally, i called applecare. They told me that it had been past the 90 days given to us for support from the point of purchase. Fine. However, the apple support representative went on to tell me that Applecare does NOT support pro applications and that i have to pay $199 per incident? I paid $299 for the product itself! Last i checked, i-pods were selling pretty well and i don't think steve jobs needs that money! Is apple serious? Where do they get off charging $200 for a ONE TIME PHONE CALL? Just because FCE HD is a "pro" application, apple can't assume that everyone who purchases this product is a "pro" from the start!
    Where else am i supposed to get phone technical support for FCE HD??

    Sold to Party , IBASE & Component are not fetching the support message created from Satellite system BI.
    I have configured the Service Desk for satellite system ECC 6.0. Now I have configured it to BI, but Sold to party & IBASE & Component are not fetching in the support desk message.
    Following things done for adding satellite system BI to Solman.
    1) IBase creation for BI is done.
    2) SMSY configiration also done for BI
    3) BP no created in Solman, mapped identification also.
    What else i need to check.
    Can anybody tell me which roles I need to assign the BI end users for raising the message. Is this issue related to roles

    SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN Administrator role for Support Desk. Comprises
    authorizations to configure Support Desk
    SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS Role for processing Support notifications. Comprises all the
    authorizations for notification processing and using the Solution Database
    SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY General display role, no authorization to create or change
    notifications
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE Role to create Support notifications. This role must be
    assigned to both users who will create notifications in the
    SAP Solution Manager and to users who will create
    notifications from the satellite systems in the SAP Solution

  • Unable to assign all security roles to a user with a new custom security role

    Dear All,
    Happy New Year.!
    I have a query regarding the assignment of Security Roles to new users in CRM. Normally we assign the security roles to new users via an Admin user who has 'System Administrator' security role assigned to him/her. This works perfectly fine, and we can assign
    any desired security role to the new user.
    However, in our case, we need to delegate the user creation rights to some of the client partners. We do not want to give them access to all the Administration functions; hence we created a new Security Role, lets say 'Support User Role'. We have provided
    'Create', 'Append', 'Append To', and 'Assign' rights on 'User' entity for this new security role. With this security role, we are able to create new users now, but we are only able to assign 'Agent' security role, not any other security roles.
    For example, if user 'x' has Security Role defined as 'Support User Role'. If 'x' tries to add a new user 'y', then 'x' is only able to assign 'Agent' security role to 'y', but not any other security role. As per business requirement, 'x' should be able
    to assign some other security roles, including 'Support User Role', to new user 'y'.
    I believe that there is something missing in Security Role configuration, which is causing the above problem. We compared both 'Support User Role' and 'System Administrator' security roles, but not able to figure out which minimum rights we can provide to
    'Support User Role' so that users with this security role can only add new users (with any security role), and that they are not having access on any other Administration features as well.
    Appreciate any help that you can provide on the above issue.
