"Role" Resource Type not found

Referencing TID 7012806, https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7012806 , I verified our installation is on GW2012 SP2 12.0.2-108211 but we are not seeing "Role" as an option for a Resource Type. Please advise what we can do to make the Role Resource Type available on our system.

Unfortunately, the SP2 snapins still display as SP1 in ConsoleOne, yet
they are different. If you copied them, you should be fine in that
regard, but unfortunately that was my only idea for now..

When I try to invoke the homepage by "http://127.0.0.1:8888/em", I get the message "Resource /em not found on this server"
I also do not find links in the JDeveloper in the "Tools-->Preferences--> Embedded OC4J Server Preferences.
I do not have any proxies.

But u are mentioning that, the Jdeveloper doesnt include the Enterprise Manager.

Error while trying to restore - "Resource was not found"

I just got a replacement for my old 60GB color Ipod.
I plug it in to restore to make it compatible for windows, and this is what I get:
"THERE WAS A PROBLEM DOWNLOADING THE iPOD SOFTWARE FOR THE iPOD. THE REQUESTED RESOURCE WAS NOT FOUND".
That's the error message that comes on when I try to restore.
I am using the brand new iTunes.

I did try and changed it several times but that didn't work. After about 4 hours of trying and disconnecting and removing deamon tools like someon suggested, i got it to be read, only to tell me that it is corrupt and that it needs to be restored.
After many tries again, i managed to restore it and start from scratch. It is currently working fine as I am loading it up with music. But if I disconnect it, that's it. No way to add any more new music, which completely *****.
I dont even know what I can do by now, and I dont see what could be the problem.

Problem restoring my iPod - "Resource was not found"

My iPod hardrive is a little bit dodgy (to say the least.) When I try to connect it to my computer, it comes up with an error message that says "ITunes has detected an iPod that appears to be corrupted. You may need to restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. You may also try disconnecting and reconnecting the iPod."
So I restore it, but then another message pops up that says "There was a problem downloading the iPod software for the iPod “iPod.” The requested resource was not found." and then iTunes stops recognizing my iPod.
Any suggestions?

i was also having the same problem. i seem to have fixed the problem but time will tell.
here is what i did.
1. you have to get rid of itunes 7. i did a lot of reading on the internet looking into error 1418 and 1429 and this is happening to a lot of people after they do the software update. trash everything except the itunes music folder, (where all of your mp3's a stored. don't empty the trash until you have your old songs back on your new old version of itunes 6, just to be safe.
2. find a download for itunes 6. not the easiest thing in the world but you should be able to find it on a bit torrent or ask a friend that might still be running on that to send you a copy.
3. you can try and restore your ipod with the old ipod updater that comes with itunes 6, (2006-01-10). it might not work the first time, it might not work after several. but at least give it a go. mine would update sometimes but then when i tried to play songs on it later it would just tear through songs and not play anything.
4. open up your disk utility program. i ran a repair permissions and repair disk first, both times i got a message saying there was a bad btree situation going on. if you don't get this message, i suggest trying to restore it again before you go to step five.
5. you are going to have to completely erase the **** thing. choose erase and pick the default option that comes up (mac os extended (journaled))
6. your ipod is going to be in disk mode now, don't trip out.
7. run the ipod updater again. once again, mine wouldn't allow me to eject the ipod once it was done so i just restarted it.
after all this, it opened up itunes and asked me to name my ipod. everything has been cool now since this morning. good luck!

Can't open PSD! "Could not complete your request because the required resources were not found."

Hi all,
I am having some serious issues with Photoshop CC and have alread lost a few days of work to a random bug. I have spent the whole day working on Photoshop to try and catch up on the lost work.
I was saving the PSD, closed the document and then tried to reopen it to make a quick change and I got this error: "Could not complete your request because the required resources were not found.". I am now unable to open the PSD.
Has anyone ever seen this and does anyone know if there is a way of resolving the problem?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I found a hack-y way to work around this problem without losing work!
So I discovered fairly quickly that this is an unsolved problem that NO ONE can explain the cause of. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to save your layers without losing progress.
Convert ALL of your layers to a Smart Object.
Right-click on the Smart Object
Click "Export Contents..."
This opens up a Save As... Window, with your file name .PSB
Name & Save.
I then quit Photoshop CS, re-opened, and had all of my layers, folders, and effects intact. The only problem was that my Canvas was as large as my biggest layer (extending beyond my original canvas). Just find the original background layer (or one that originally filled your canvas), Select it (Command + Click on the Layer thumbnail), and Crop it (Image > Crop).

Resource bundle not found in adapter ear file

          it, the server generates an resource bundle not found exception. The only way
          to make it deploy is to put my adatper jar to the global classpath. This is not
          consistent with EJB deployment. I tested an ear file that contains an EJB jar
          with contains a resource bundle. The server is able to load the resource file
          from the EJB jar as I would expect. Any comments on that? By the way, I tested
          on WLS 6.1 sp1 and sp2. Thanks.

Mindstorm software conflict "resource files not found"

Hi All,
my apologies if this is addressed elsew in the forum - searched but did not find any entries.
I am co-teaching a robotics class to middle school students (Lego FLL) and a class to the high school students using LabView 2009 + Lego kit. After installing the Labview environment I (as well as my co-teachers) can no longer run the Mindstorms software. THe error reported is bout resource files not found.
Co any one shed some light on how to have both environments co-exist on the same laptop?

Hi there. Not a problem. This is probably a known conflict between MINDSTORMS 1.0 and LabVIEW. It can be fixed easily. Please see http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/4B0C1BBDA9CFEBE7862573D0005D93C4
This might have also affected MINDSTORMS 1.1 but I can't recall.

Requested Resource Was Not Found

I tried accessing the Music Store, but get a message popup saying
"iTunes could not connect to iTunes Store. The Requested Resource was not found."
I quit and restarted the computer, and launched again. Same message. It was working yesterday just fine.

Some basic information would probably be helpful: your OS version, your iTunes version, how your system connects to the Internet, and what changes if any you've made to the system since it last worked. Otherwise people will be working in the dark to guess what to suggest.

Resource /analytics not found on this server

I've tried a lot of different things to overcome this issue, but I'll try and keep this brief. Hopefully someone else has encountered a similar problem :-)
I'm getting the following error with I try to access http://localhost:9704/analytics:
"Resource /analytics not found on this server"
My setup:
Windows 7
Oracle DB 11g Release 2 installed locally
OBIEE 10g v10.1.3.2
I installed 11g Release 2 prior to installing OBIEE.
I can connect to databases through both 11g and OBIEE. I have successfully imported database metadata into OBIEE and built a basic repository. When I try to access analytics I get the error.
I also have tried logging into Application Server Control (http://localhost:9704/em/) as oc4jadmin. I get the following error:
"This OC4J is configured to make JMX connections via RMIS and fall back to RMI if the RMIS port is not configured. The RMIS connection on the OC4J local instance is configured but a connection could not be established. The JMX protocol is specified by the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol property in opmn.xml"
The only opmn.xml file I find on my system is at C:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\ascontrol\ascontrol\WEB-INF\config\registration, and it doesn't have the oracle.oc4j.jmx.internal.connection.protocol in it.
I've tried the usual stop/start services, restart the computer, making sure ORACLE_HOME and JAVA_HOME are set. Any suggestions on what else to try?

Thanks again Rachit. I had found those instructions, but since I can't get into Application Server Control, I can't redeploy the war in that way.
Last night I was able to fix my problem. Here is what I ended up doing:
1) Uninstall OBIEE
2) Restart computer
3) Delete any OBIEE files that uninstall left (there was still on OracleBI directory structure)
4) Restart computer again
5) Install the latest *32-bit* JDK. I had the latest *64-bit* version, and had a suspicion that I might need the 32-bit
6) Restart computer
7) Reinstall OBIEE, pointing to the 32-bit JDK install
8) Restart computer
After that I am able to launch presentation services and get into Answers.
I still have one problem to overcome, but that is for another thread if I can't figure it out.

KM Reports : Resource Bundle Not Found Exception!!

Hello all,
I am having some trouble in getting the sample reports working. I got the sources from this article :

It is a simple report. I am able to deploy it on the KM, but when i try to start the report, it throws an exception : "Resource Bundle Not Found".
The same is the case with another sample report : access statistics report.
Did anybody else face the same issue? Or if anybody knows a solution to this problem, I would greatly appreciate a response.

You might want to check the defaultTrace to find out more about the error. A bundle file for translation can be included either directly in the report as shown in slides 23-25 in this presentation: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a0fe534f-14f2-2a10-5ba8-fb6b122f430f
Or you they could be referenced by a meta data extension of a property that is included in the report.

Resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV_12 not found

We have an ECC 6.0 EHP3, EP 7.0 SP18 with BPERP5ESS 1.2 SP 4, SAP_ESS 1.0 SP 19.1, BPERP5COM 1.20 SP 4, SAPPCUI_GP 1.0 SP 19, we activate the business function FIN_TRAVEL_1 .
The issue is when in the Portal we go to "My Trips and Expenses" and try to create/change a travel request o try to create/change a travel expense report.
If try to create/change a travel request shows: "Resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_REQUEST_SRV_12 not found" and if try to create/change a travel expense report shows:"Resource EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV_12 not found"
This resources are in the resource list in customization, with this values:
Resource Key: EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV_12
Description: Travel & Expense: Travel Expense Report Service
Object Name: FITE_EXPENSES
URL Parameter: SAP_FITV_EXIT_OP=CallAreaPage
The rest of the fields are empty.
Resource Key: EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_REQUEST_SRV_12
Description: Travel & Expense: Travel Request Service
Object Name: FITE_REQUEST
URL Parameter: SAP_FITV_EXIT_OP=CallAreaPage

The most curious is that if we try to create a new travel request or try to create a new travel expense report out of "My Trips and Expenses", via the links into "Create New" area, it works fine! We can create them without problem

I once had similar issue, here's how I had to solve it:
Go to SPRO and follow this path
Cross-Application Components > Homepage Framework > Resources > Define Resources
Now look for your EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV_12 and double-click on it.
Check if these text boxes are empty:
- URL of Resource Object
- URL of PCD page
If any of the above is empty, then write something inside (yes, something) and press save.
You will receive a warning and then save it on a Customizing request.
For example, I saved "<blank>" on each one of them.

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
