Role Type not available

Hi,
We have a new installation of GRC Access controls 5.3, keeping aside other modules we have strange problem in ERM where we are not able to see the role type Ie u201CSingleu201D or u201Ccompositeu201D any where in ERM.
Please help.

Correct media type not available in print dialogue box

With Mac OS10.6.8, Photoshop CS4, and Epson 2880, the correct media profile is not available in the print dialogue box. I have matte black ink installed in the printer, but get only glossy paper options available for media type in the print dialogue.

BI Planning modeler - Currency translation type not available

Hi there,
I have a problem with the BI Planning modeler and the standard currency translation formula.
I want to use a currency type from TCURR the the type is EURZ. This type is not available, how do I get it in the Currency translation type ???

Hi,
You can also check your currency exchange rates in the following way,
Go to transaction SPRO -> SAP reference IMG -> SAP Netweaver -> General Settings -> Currencies -> Enter Exchange Rates
One more thing you need to make sure is to use a currency in Currency translation planning function, you have to have a exchange rate created in transaction RSCUR for the conversion that you are performing.
For example, if you want to convert 'USD' to 'EUR' you have to have an exchange that defines this conversion appropriately.

DBSequence entity attribute type not available

Hi OTN,
I want to set an entity attribute type to DBSequence. But there's no such type in a drop-down list, only Java types.
I tried to set the type in source manually but at runtime framework doesn't assign a negative integer to the attribute at Create operation.
In simple test application DBSequence type is available and negative integers get assigned.
I have found a proper thread (Re: DBSequence type no longer available for entity attributes? but the solution there is to recreate the whole datamodel. That isn't suitable for me.
Maybe there is a better solution now?

I logged Bug 9380578 - "SQL FLAVOUR" AND "TYPE MAP" CAN BE CHANGED IN "PROJECT PROPERTIES"
(published in My Oracle Support).
NB: in JDeveloper 9.x, it was possible to change the "SQL Dialect" (as it was called at that time), but the ADF BC objects and the custom code weren't changed;
hence it was decided to gray out that choice after the Project creation.

Some Media Types (Paper Types) not available in some applications..?

OK, this is a strange one for me.
We just bought a new Canon ix7000 to get A3 printing etc.
For convenience we put A4 into the cassette feed and had the notion of putting in A3 into the manual feeder when we needed it.
In iPhoto you can ONLY select photo type paper and not standard paper with this driver.
In Apple Pages and Adobe InDesign when you go to the media handling options the 'Plain Paper', 'Envelope', 'Fine Art "Photo Rag"' and 'Other Fine Art Paper' are greyed out.
Launch that same interface from Apple Mail or Safari and you CAN get to those media selections and change the paper source to the manual feeder :o
At first I thought it might be related to 64 bit apps so I fired up Logic Pro in 64 bit mode and sure enough I could select all paper types to change the source... then I forced Logic Pro to start in 32 bit mode and could STILL do it..
What gives? anybody know?

Are you saying that there are more fonts than are available in the style menu to the right of the font family pulldown menu? If so, how many fonts do you have installed on your computer?

Impact of having the fsmo role holders not available for 14 hours...

Hi everyone, we have a situation where we will lose power to the building for 14 hours and since we don't have a generator we'll be shutting down our main site. We have 15 sites, each has a dc and the hq site has two with the fsmo roles distributed between
the two at hq. So two questions to start with:
1. What will be the impact of having the fsmo role holding domain controllers inaccessible for a period of 14 hours?
2. What will we be facing once we regain power and turn the hq dc's back on?
Look forward to hearing back about this - the power outage is this weekend though!!

If your PDC Emulator fails, certain domain functions, security functions, can stop functioning. If anyone of the following is not happening then you should check if your PDC Emulator is working properly:
•Time is not Syncing: PDC is the default source for the client computers to sync the time. If client computers are not syncing the time then you should always check the PDC.
•User accounts are not locked out: PDC Emulator processes the account lockouts immediately for the entire domain.

Z Date Types not available in WebUI

I have created a Z Date type and assigned it to my Z Date profile which is in turn assigned to my Issue Request Transaction Type.
Now when I open the UI Component SRQM_INCIDENT_H and then go to BTADMINH context node. I should be able to find my Z Date type there and creating a Z Attribute for it.
How to make my Z Date Types to be available on WebUI?

Hi Max,
you are right. You can create an attribute for your custom date type. In the wizard when selecting the attribute from BTAdminH scroll down to "Relations" and follow the BOL path through BTHeaderDatesSet and BTDate_<your date type>.
Although in my experience it works better if you create a new context node for BTDate_<your date type>. This context node is dependent on BTDatesSet. And then in SE80 change the inheritance for the generated context class to CL_CRM_UIU_BT_DATE_CN.

Tax types not available in SD

Hi all
While I am defining tax relevancy in SD (transaction OVK3 and OVK4), I couldn't find the new tax type created in FI (created thougth path--> financial accounting >financial accounting global settings >tax on sales/purchases > basic setting >check calculation procedure >define condition type)
So It seems someting is missing. What else should we do ir order to hace the tax type available in SD?

You may perform the following to complete the taxes:
FTXP - Maintain tax codes by Country
OBQ1 - Maintain/Create Condition Type
OBQ3 - Tax Pricing Procedures
OBQ2 - Define Tax Access Sequences
OBBG - Assign Tax Country to Tax Calculation procedure
OVK3 - Define the Customer Tax category (in SD)
OVK4 - Define the Material Tax category (in SD)
OVK1 - Define Tax Determination Rules by Country
OVK6 - Assign delivery plants for Tax determination (locally which Tax country category to use)
VK13 - Maintain Tax Condition Rate (e.g. 1%, 2% etc.) by Tax Country

there should be Parameter Set type "STARTUP", however I cannot find it in the list of
the types in the WebAdministrator I am using.. The middleware MI is of versions: NWMADMIN 12.1, NWMCLIENT 12.4, NWMDRIVERS 12.0 и NWMDRIVERS 12.0.
Do you know in which version it is accessible.. or maybe it is a matter of additional settings..?

No dial tone mean the system is not ready for dialing. But it's hard to guess why without detailed information. Turn on debugging, catch syslog and debug messages, catch SIP control packets as well. It will help with the further analysis.

I dont see xfa form in the 'Type' dropdown when i try to create a new variable..

The easiest way is to re-run Configuration Manager, and deploy components. Make sure that you select Process Management when you installed LiveCycle, otherwise the Task Manager component won't be included. You can also drag-drop the component from the file system directly into the Components view in WorkBench. You'll find all components in: <adobeInstallDir/deploy. Compressor Service Type Not Available in Node Comps

I've set up a quick two comp cluster comprised of a Dual 2Ghz and Dual 1.8Ghz G5s. The Dual 2Ghz is set as "services and cluster controller" and the Dual 1.8Ghz as "Services only". Both "compressor" and "Rendering" services are selected for each comp. I have also selected "Show Qmaster service status in menu bar" on both comps.
When I check the status on the menu bar or each comp, each shows 2 Rendering services and one Compressor service.
I launch Qmaster Admin (on either comp) and both comps show up in the Qmaster Service Browser. However, when I expand the Dual 1.8Ghz comp, there is no Compressor service, just 2 Render services!
Can someone tell me why, even though Compressor services are listed on the Menu bar for the Dual 1.8Ghz, why it is not listed in Qmaster Admin for that comp. It is for the Dual 2Ghz.
BTW - I have added Qmaster to two G4s and 2 G3s, and both have Compressor services listed in Qmaster Admin. I have them set up exactly as the Dual 1.8 Ghz.
NOTE: I have the OS X Firewall turned off
Any help getting the Dual 1.8 listed with Compressor services would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this happen to me in our cluster of 4 G5's however it was a bit different then what your describing. If i checked the status of the Qmaster services on the menu bar it would correctly show all three services (2 rendering 1 compressor) but compressor was "captured" which caused the compressor service to not show up in qadmin.
Maybe this will help dunno, but I ended up following the instructions in this post:

to remove the captured status. In the end this didn't help so i followed the same steps but this time instead of just removing jobcontroller....plist and servicecontroller...plist i ended up removing every .plist file in that folder. After all the .plist files were removed and i started the service it came back online without "captured" next to it in the menu bar.

Unable to Transport Querys Object (ELEM) of type 'Query' is not available in version 'A'

We need to transport some querys from production BW 7.3.1SP7 to synch with Dev. I know, I know but had no choice but to created querys in PBW due to no data in DEV...
In RSA1, we collect query and get errors for every object (ckf,rkf, vars etc) and when changing dsiplay from hiearchy to list, there are no objects included under the query element.
Opened the system in SCC4 for automatic recording of changes and changes to repository and cross clinet customization allowed and changed the client role to Test.
Tried opening and resaving the query in query designer.
Query is active in table RSRREPDIR
Checked SCN and OSS have yet to find a solution

Provisioning log is not available on Access request type Change Account

Hi,
So I have and issue when I try to submit a request to add a role to a user and I'm trying to understand what could be the reason for it. Basically I have a workflow that works perfectly for a "Change Request". I can see that all the steps are executed and then at the end of the request when is suppose to do the actual role assignment I see the message "Provisioning log is not available" then the approval path is finish and the request is closed but when I take a look at the user in the back end the role is not assign. In terms of access I have try giving SAP_ALL to WF-Batch, nothing shows in Yellow or Red on SLG1 and in SPRO->AC-> User Provisioning -> Define request Type I see "Change Account" with SAP_GRAC_ACCESS_REQUEST. What else can I do to troubleshoot this error?
Note: I when back to the to the AC 10.0 Pre-Implementation From Post-Installation to First Access Request and everythings looks right in terms of the AC Configuration settings.

In my question I was referring to SPRO - GRC/access control/user provisioning / maintain provisioning settings. Those need to be setup (min. global provisioning settings) in order to have role being assigned to user at the end of path.
Change account option you can see under request type is referring to change user master data(e.g. password/ account validity / details).
Is this system maintain by CUA? If so settings have to be different (see CUA settings in SPRO)
I would recommend moving to SP14 as in SP13 there were many bugs, by the way I believe the worst SP ever since beginning of AC is SP13 (maybe due to number), as it destroys many working functionality.
