Roles activation from business content

Hi Experts,
i have activate a business content role SAP_BW_SALES_MANAGE_ADMIN related to sd module,where can i find the activated business content role in bi.i have check in the query designer and analyser for the role,but i could not find it.where as in the business content it shows the role was activated.
i can see all the workbooks related to the role activated and i am able to see the workbook in analyser.
pls guide me where can i find the business content roles which are activated and how to run the roles in reporting.

Can't find an InfoObject but it is activated from Business Content

Hi
When I review the Business Content component on the left hand side for the objected type InfoObject 0HIER_NODE, it is activated. But when I try to find it from the InfoObject component on the left hand side or RSD1, it is saying that the 0HIER_NODE is not found or entry is not selected.
How can I get to use 0HIER_NODE to map to the InfoSource? I can't seem to find it.

Hi Voodi,
Our requirement has to do with using the Z table to fill the table from the R3 side to do both the R3 and BW authorization restrictions. We are tansferring the data from the Z table to BW to the ODS to generate the profiles. I hope it is making sense so far.
The problem is the following:
1. One of our hierarchies is manually created that there is no root but ony the yellow InfoObject symbol (first level) and then the green InfoObject symbols (second level).
2. The other hierarchy is created by using BW07 that has the root node with the vanilla folder symbol (text node) and the second level node with vanilla folder symbols (text node) and then the green InfoObject symbols for the third level.
3. There are differences between these hierarchies, and the ODS InfoSources are mapped:
A. 0TCTNIOBJNM -> Yellow InfoObject symbol (for example, 0COSTCENTER)
B. 0TCTIOBJNM ->Green InfnoObject symbol (for example, ZDEPARTMENT)
According to what I have seen, the hierarchy for item 2 is the way to create hierarchies, similar to what the white paper "How to ... Work with Hierarchy authorizations" illustrates the procedure to set up the authorizations for hierarchies.
I have to make changes to the ODS InfoSource mapping in order to make use of hierarchy item 1 because we are using the Z table to generate the profiles.
What would you do? Certainly there is a difference between using the the Z table and using what SAP suggests per the How To paper. I think my explanation makes sense..
I also wanted to add that the authorizations set up at this time works for item 1 but not for item 2. This is the reason that the text node is mapped as a constant.

Error in Query Activation from Business Content

Hi Gurus,
I'm having problems when I'm activating Query 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 (Financial Statement and P&L: Actual/Actual Comparison) under Virtual Cube (0FIGL_VC1). Everytime I activate it, it displays these errors 1. Error when activating element 2GXNYXWAV1FOYLM46UJ2U2Q2D , 2. Error when activating element 2LOL3P78C15MAEBIFHL8MNR7R, etc.
Then when I look at the query elements, I noticed that not all elements (Structure, Formulas, etc) are activated and it displays this message "Is existentially required by : 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 [ELEM]". Although when I search for the elements in the Business Content to activate them it seems that these elements do not exists. Please advice. Thank You.

Hi
Check if the Query : 0FIGL_VC1_Q0001 has all the Query Elemenst(Restricted Keyfigures, Calculated Keyfigures etc) have D version to install.
You can also check in the Source System if all the Query Elements corresponding to the Query are transported in D-version.
If something is missing do transport it agian.

Hi raj,
The error message clearly tells that you are not authorized...some of the authorization object is missing from ur profile...check the missing Auth object and get it add to ur ID.
do the following... try to activate the DSO once again ... you will get the message again
now enter transaction SU53 -- and click ok -- it will display the missing auth object from ur profile.
if it does not display any thing try to run the authorization trace using ST01 transaction ... to get the missing auth object.

Problem in Installing/ Activating 0SD_C03 Infocube from Business Content

Hello Friends,
I am installing an InfoCube 0SD_C03 from Business Content in our BW Development environmant. I first installed "Only the Necessary Components". This took 3 hrs. AFterwards I picked "Before Option" and it kept running for 14 hrs, without completeing. In the last I stopped it to minimize the performance impact to anybody.
My question is, do you also face any such problem of installation running for hours and hours? How have you handled its resolution.
Finally, I broken my task into various component and I am installing component by component (e.g. Transfer Rule, Update Riles etc. etc.). But while doing so, human errors are possible and I may miss something. Also we would not like the same activation runs for hours in Production.. So there

Friends,
Necessary components took 2-3 hrs. I am running "before option" this weekend and will find out Monday. Running on weekend will not impact anybody.
I am communicating with Basis Team and they are aware of this problem.
In my previous organization, even Before Option will complete in 2 hrs (maximum). I guess there are multiple factors for jobs running so slow. Of course, I am following all rules of the Game!!

How to open Crystal Reports from Business Content Ext BW

I have activated 0CR_FIAA_M20_Q0007 Crystal Reports from Business Content Ext BW and I have configurated BW_Publisher services in BW but I do´t see reports in /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN.
I check RFC connection and it´s ok
Here I can´t get a role
and here I don´t see reports
Do I have to create special role with especial authorization?
How do I save this Crystal reports in a Rol?
How do I open this Report ?
I check Ingo Blog BusinessObjects and SAP - Publishing of Crystal Reports Part 1 of 3
but I think, I don´t have some configuration.

Problem while installing a query from Business Content

Hi all of you,
I am trying to install this particular query Inventory Turnover from the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) from Business Content. Now in the third pane in Business Content under Active version available column across the name of this cube there is a calendar symbol.
a.     So does it mean that the cube 0IC_C03 (Material/Stock Movements) is installed along with all the objects that are dependent on the cube and all those objects on which the cube is dependent. (NOTE: I had selected the grouping option as In data flow afterwars)
b.     When I collapse Query Element I find that some of the queries are not installed. So I expanded Inventory Turnover query, right clicked on it and selected Install All Below.
c.     I am getting this error, Abort system error in program SAPLRRI2 and form LI_SETZEN-01- when I execute the query Inventory Turnover. However in Business Content when I installed the report Inventory Turnover under the cube Material Stock/Movement I didnt get any error anywhere. Everything was activated successfully without any errors.
Please tell me how do I install this Inventory Turnover from business content and how do I execute this report from BEx.

Thank you for that quick reply. I want to activate only the query and not the cube. I did as you advise me but still I am getting the same error when I run the Inventory turnover report from BEx.
I am able to run other reports from the cube IC_C03. But not this report Inventory turnover. I have also checked the cube and there is data in the cube.

Error in installing process chain from Business Content.

Dear Experts,
I have successfully installed the Technical Content from Business Content and now trying to install Content Master Data process chain for info package for the same but its showing error.
<b>Technical Name for Process Chain : 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01</b>
Error after instaling from BI Content : <b>Process AND has no predecessor.</b>
Finally, while checking in RSPC it comes the name of Process Chain but its not showing anything.
Also, one more thing is I am trying to install in development system and if that occurs successfully than transport to production as production directly don't wanted to do.

ithink u have not activated the process chainafter creating the process chain u might have saved it with out activating the process cahin so that is the reason why it is showing name name but northing in the chain first activate the cahin then it iwill show

Can't create DTP for cube migrated from business content to 2004s

I am in the process of converting 3.5 Business Content InfoProviders to the new model for 2004s.
Master data was not a problem, but Im having a hard time getting InfoCubes to migrate.
I installed 0PUR_C03 from Business Content and replicated the DataSource into the Data Warehouse.
I right-clicked 2LIS_02_S013, selected Additional Functions, then chose Transformation erzeugen (a.k.a. Create Transformation in English).
The transformation is generated with no errors and it was activated. The DataSource is migrated automatically in the process.
Then, I went to add the Data Transfer Process and that is where I got stuck.
I right-clicked the cube and took Create DTP. For source type, I selected datasource. A dialog box then shows the objects associated with the cube, including the converted infosource, but nothing is highlighted for me to choose from, and I cant complete the process of creating the DTP.
Can anyone tell me where I might have gone wrong?

Installation of Datasource from Business content

While Installing Datasource from Business content in SAP R/3 encounter with following error message. Can some one guide me how to transfer the hierarchy with Business Content. Appreciate your help in resolving this problem.
Application component FI-GL of DataSource 0FI_TX_4 does not exist
Message no. R8418
Diagnosis
You tried to assign a DataSource to the application component FI-GL. This application component is, however, not entered in the RODSAPPL table as an application component.
System Response
The DataSource is saved, but is not visible in BW under the node NODESNOTCONNECTED.
Procedure
You do not have the option yet to transfer the application component hierarchy from the Content.
You transfer the hierarchy with Business Content.

Sorry if a year has gone by.
This is because you didn't heve the Application Component Hierarchy installed in BW itself. Use rsa6 to do this, in the BW system (not the other source system. Be careful if you have already somehting there, because it will override the hierarchy with the Business Content hierarchy.
If you need to transport the active hierarchy, and not reinstall all the Business Content Datasources, the object is :
R3TR DSAA APCO_MERGED
So, create a workbench transport, and add the above object.

Update rules not getting installed from business content.

One more major issue I am seeing is that my update rules for some cubes (0PUR_C01)are not getting installed at all from business content and the errors i am getting are like datasource 0vendor_text not maintained and then there is long list of such red lights. when actually I can see most of the datasources active in the datasource tab on BW side.
So i dont know how to get these update rules working.

Install Info Object 0BSTAT from business content

Hi Guys,
I am trying to install info object 0BSTAT from business content , i have selected the options
grouing "only necessary obects" "start automaticall" "Hierarchy" ad dragged info obect from left side into collected objects and selected the install and trasport option form Install, assigned the trasnport also, it didn't give any errpor message but info object is not getting activated.
An body had the expericence with this issue, please share you ideas how to fix the issue.

You onl have authroization to display info object 0BSTAT
I looked at the SU53 also there is one error message related to info object BSTAT
Currently aunthorization Field ACTVT Activit is "23"
Does this mean i don't have autorization to install of info obects, do wee need any special activity is required in the for installing info object
Please suggest me how to proceed.

Queries from business content

Hi,
When we install the out of the box business content queries from business content where are we able to see those queries. ( Like when we install infocube and dataflow before and we will be able to see it all in modeling area, same way where can we see the queries).
Also when we install the queries will the objects like structures,variables, restricted key figures and calculated figures will also get installed.?

Well the queries will always be attached to an InfoProvider, so you can easily see a list of queries under each InfoProvider. You can see this in the Open Dialog in Bex, or in the BW system you can do this in RSRT. Just F4 on the query text box and lookup up the queries by InfoArea. You can get a whole list of the queries, but then that would mean going to tables and deciphering the query GUIDS.
Another way is to go to the Metadata Repository and looked at queries within the Local Objects (Activated objects).

How to install sources for infobject from business content

I have 16 infobjects for which we need to move to prod and there are no connections to it but the infobjects are active and some are i modified state, like no datasources, infosources, transfer rules etc., Can you please tell me the approach to install all the necessary for them. I mean how to find and how to install, please help if any documentation is available.

Hi daniel,
Inorder to install the business object, you will be require to follow the following steps :
i)Go to RSA1 (Admistrator Workbench) for installing the Business Content. Navigate to object you want to install. Now you want to install the info object then select Info Object.
ii)Select your Info Object say 0MATL_GROUP (material Group).Click on Transfer selections.
iii)Now when the info object is selected. It will always be in default selection (Only Necessary object), Now if you want to install the various other things like data source, transformation rule etc as you specify in query
iv) For that go to grouping select IN DATAFLOW BEFORE AND AFTERWARDS. One more thing If you want to specify the Source system then u can do it by clicking on that Yellow Box (symbol specify the source system) adjacent to BEx (Truck Symbol). This mainly used for the things like transformation, update rule etc as you want.
v)Now you want to see if there can be some predictive error then go Install --> Simulate Installation.
vi)Now important point to note is MATCH(X) or COPY. Now suppose you already have the Material Group install in your system in Active version. Now here if you didnu2019t select the MATCH check box then your A-version Material Group will be overwritten by the D-version Material group provided by SAP.
vii)For ur more understanding lets take the example say you have added two customer specific attribute to Material Group now twist is SAP has also just release the enhance material Group with two additional attribute. Now you are very curious of getting this two attribute in your already active Material Group. For this you will be required to install the material Group from Business content. If you forget to check the Match option then your customer specific attribute will be lost. So to retain them we have to check the MATCH(X)

Activate 0AUBPVEH withOUT new version of 0MATERIAL from Business Content

Hello experts!
I want to activate ODS-Object 0AUBPVEH from Business Content. With this ODS I have to activate InfoObject 0AUVEHICLE which has 0MATERIAL as an attribute. Our experts told me, that it is not really possible to activate the ODS-Object with using our existing 0MATERIAL and without activation of the new version of 0MATERIAL.
Can someone help here?
